Obama is now President - How come other Countries still hate us?

Does anyone remember hearing the liberals lipshits crowing that the only reason other countries hate the US is because of George Bush?
"Is there a new government in the United States or is it Bush still in power? Obama seems to be a continuation of the Bush era. But it doesn't matter to me. Regardless of US imperialism, this revolution will continue its course," Chavez said in a speech.

"The Obama administration has again attacked Venezuela. He said that Venezuela and I, even citing my name, do not cooperate in the fight against drug trafficking. The country that most supports drug trafficking on this planet is the United States.

"The United States is the world's leading consumer of drugs. Why can't they stop drugs from coming into their country? Obama, you take care of your business and I'll take care of mine. Don't mess with me, Mr Obama," he added.

Even after Obamao takes a 90 degree left turn with the US, his socialist buddy, Skipper Hugo still doesn't like us. Imagine that! Maybe after Obamao nationalizes our banks like Skipper Hugo just did with Venezuela's rice processing plants he will like us.

After the stars cleared from the Hugo's verbal slap, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reaches out with another backhand through an art advisor speaking with visiting film makers from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences...
"(Iranian) cinema officials will only have the right to have official sessions with... Hollywood movie makers when they apologise to the Iranians for their 30 years of insults and slanders," Javad Shamaghdari said.

"The Iranian people and our revolution has been repeatedly unjustly attacked by Hollywood," he said, citing '300' and recent Oscar nominated movie 'The Wrestler' as among offending films.

"We will believe (US President Barack) Obama's policy of change when we see change in Hollywood too, and if Hollywood wants to correct its behaviour towards Iranian people and Islamic culture then they have to officially apologise," Shamaghdari added.

More Democrats looking at Voinovich's Seat

The democrats looking to take the Senate seat held by Senator George Voinovich, who will be retiring when his term is up, are coming out of the woodwork. The two known Democrats for this seat are - Lt. Governor Lee Fisher and SecRATary of State Jennifer Brunner. Rev. Strickland has publicly endorsed his flunky Fisher.

Now tossing their hat in the ring for the democrats is the former vice-Mayor of Cincy - State Representative Tyrone K. Yates (D-33rd District). Also, Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones, a former State Rep., is showing his interest and has started a 527 named - Peter Lawson Jones for America.

With hardly any name recognition outside their hometowns, I doubt either of these guys could even be considered a serious challenger against Fisher or Brunner - but it will make the democrat primary for Voinovich's seat interesting and enjoyable to watch.

While I did not vote for him, Peter Lawson Jones is the one Cuy. Co. Commissioner who has consistently voted against much of the BS being shoveled here. Though I would not want him as our Senator.

On the Republican side, I believe Rob Portman is the only declared candidate. John Kasich has not declared his intentions of running for this seat or for Governor. Many in our party want Kasich as Governor - I think he would be good in either position.

And lastly, a couple weeks ago I heard a blurb on the radio that Tom Ganley of the Ganley Car Dealerships has voiced some interest for the seat. Outside of Cuyahoga County, Ganley would face the same name recognition problems as PLJ and Yates.

Another Attempt On Obama's Life

It appears that there may have been another attempt on President Obama's life. Claiming to be a Obama supporter, an HIV infected wack job from IL sent Barack & his staff a letter covered with his blood...
In the weeks leading up to Obama’s inauguration, Saad Hussein, an Ethiopian refugee in his late 20’s, sent an envelope addressed to “Barack Obama” to offices of the Illinois government in Springfield, Ill., according to court documents. The envelope contained a series of unusual items, including a letter with reddish stains and an admission ticket for Obama’s election-night celebration in Chicago’s Grant Park. Court documents said Hussein, who takes drugs to treat a mental illness, later told FBI agents he is “very sick with HIV” and cut his fingers with a razor so he could bleed on the letter.

Hussein, with his brother acting as an interpreter, told FBI agents he was actually “an admirer” of Obama and was “seeking help from the government,” according to court documents. He also told them he was hoping to obtain tickets to the inaugural ceremonies in Washington, the documents said. (National Terror Alert)

Regardless of who are President is, and regardless of what political party he/she is from - that person is the elected President of the United States. You can pretty much say that I am hardly impressed and still waiting to see why all the fanfare surrounding Obamao's election.

I didn't vote for him, helped campaign against him, I won't cut him any slack and I don't think we will be better off as a nation after 4yrs of his socialist programs - but he is our President and he represents the USA.

Any attack or attempted attack on the Barack's life, be it from a homegrown wack job or a marauding muslim - is an attack on our country and a direct threat on our national security.

Supreme Court slaps Ninth Circuit Nitwits - Again!

The anti-Christian, family-hating nitwits on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals again get backhanded by the Supreme Court for trying to redefine the Consitution...

From Americans for Limited Government --

On February 24th, the Supreme Court overturned the Ninth Circus—err, Circuit—Court of Appeals once again. Unsurprisingly so, since they are most oft-overturned appeals court in the nation. And decidedly so, as well, in the 7-2 decision of Ysursa v. Pocatello Education Association.

In this case, the Ninth Circuit had read into the First Amendment a “right” of public employee unions to utilize public payroll deductions for political purposes. In Idaho, it is a matter of law that public employee unions—or any other government agency or organ—may use payroll deductions for political purposes.

This has instant impact of allowing union workers to decide whether or not they’d like to donate to a union’s political arm. The effect, of course, may be to effectively hamper a union’s political activities. But taxpayers have a reasonable expectation that their hard-earned money is not utilized on a de facto basis for political activities.

Americans for Limited Government on June 6th had filed an amicus curiae brief in the case, and certainly we here are gratified that the Supreme Court overwhelmingly agreed with us.

The real story, though, is the absurdity of the Ninth Circuit’s ruling in the first place. The First Amendment does not require government to devote taxpayer resources to facilitating the speech of anybody. In other words, a state’s budget is not in itself a public forum.

If it were, governments across the nation would be required as a matter of law to facilitate the speech of all points of view. Clearly, an untenable standard, when the purpose of the First Amendment is to protect political speech from government interference. And in an era when government funding comes with government strict terms and conditions, clearly the power of the purse would have a chilling rather than enabling effect on speech.

Therefore, the Ninth Circuit’s initial ruling—which truly was a circus act—in Ysursa was actually quite dangerous, and the Supreme Court deserves praise for stamping out the potential flames of government coercion upon the freedom of expression.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele on Conservative Values & Conservative Cool-Aid Drinkers

I'm confused... but more on that later in the post.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele, in an interview with Mike Gallagher, has made it very clear, very, very clear on where the GOP stands on several of our core beliefs, especially that the institution of marriage is between one man and one woman...
Gallagher raised the question, "Is this a time when Republicans ought to consider some sort of alternative to redefining marriage and maybe in the road, down the road to civil unions. Do you favor civil unions?"

"No, no no. Why would we backslide on a core, founding value of this country? I mean this isn’t something that you just kind of like, 'Oh well, today I feel, you know, loosey-goosey on marriage,'" Steele said.

He continued, "I mean this is a foundational principle of this country. This is a foundational principle of organized society. This isn't something that in America we decided, 'Let's make it between a man and a woman, and oh, we changed our mind and make it between anyone and anyone.'"

"So no room even for a conversation about civil unions in your mind?" Gallagher asked.

"What’s the difference?"
Steele responded.
Exactly! There is no difference!

A civil union is nothing more than same-sex marriage with a Haloweeny costume on it. Not only is it like putting lipstick on a pig - but it's putting lipstick on someone/something that it does not belong.

And how does Chairman Steele feel about the cool-aid drinking Republicans like ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine who wants to hang out in the big tent and play hop-scotch with liberals and Democrats...

But he said he didn't need "to water down my values to have you be a part of my team."

"I'm here to tell you I know what our identity is," Steele said. "We're the conservative party in America."

"We believe in the right to life, the right to bear arms, to live our lives as God has ordained it, fiscal responsibility. I don't need the government to come in and redefine it for me."

If Chairman Steele is reaffirming our position on the defense of marriage as one of the main principals of our party - then I think it would only make sense that the State GOP & County GOP groups feel the same way. I believe this should also include that our state and county parties not only "saying" they believe in our principals - but standing strong in defending them.

And this leads to the point of this post and where I get confused...

Here in our wonderful little corner of America called Cuyahoga County several communities have enacted that lipstick wearing pig known as the Domestic Registry. Now icing up that slippery slope with frigid water from Lake Erie - the City of Cleveland will, without a vote of the residents, be enacting a Domestic Registry too. Cleveland's Domestic Registry, sponsored by Cleveland Clowncilman Joe Cimperman, is being used to promote the Gay Olympics & Gay Rodeo the City of Cleveland will be hoping to host.

For all the, "Are there any conservative leaders in Cuyahoga County Sparky's," it doesn't stop there! Nope - now Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson is again trying to outlaw your right to own and carry a firearm.

So if there are any conservative leaders or an active & effective GOP party in Cuyahoga County - where is the outcry against this full-frontal assault on our Constitution and our conservative values?

We can only hope that one day conservatives in this area will have a voice. But then - we can't be afraid to use it!

Buckeye Firearms Foundation sues Cleveland to stop enforcement of illegal gun laws

The City of Cleveland, namely Mayor Jackson, is thumbing his nose at a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling and the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling affirming our right to keep and bear arms.

After a recent execution style shooting of two innocent victims - you would think the Mayor would want residents and visitors to be safe - instead he would rather you be a victim of Cleveland crime.

The semi-wadcutter warriors at Buckeye Firearms Association, once again defending and fighting for our 2nd Amendment rights, have filed a suit in Cuyahoga County Court asking for a temporary restraining order to stop Cleveland's continued harassment & prosecution of legal, law-abiding gun owners and CCW permit holders under local ordinances restricting gun ownership and concealed carry (CCW).

Jim Irvine, President of Buckeye Firearms Association, doesn't take Jackson's goose-stepping on our 2nd Amendment rights and ignoring of the law too lightly...

"The Mayor said, 'I don't care what state law is.' We say, 'Tell it to the judge.'" said Jim Irvine. "We are a nation of laws, not of men. But apparently the men running our city don't think rules apply to them."

"The vast majority of police officers support a citizen's right to keep and bear arms. It's unfortunate that these fine men and women have to report to a Chief who is defying the law," Irvine continued.

Like I have said before, with Obamao now being President, we can expect that our 2nd Amendment right to legally possess, own and carry firearms will be under constant attack. Like Cleveland Mayor Jackson shows, with Obamoa as POTUS, the anti-gun groups feel empowered and not only feel that they are above the law, they are more than willing to ignore the law. And again, this is all the more reason we need a known entity serving as our next chief justice on the Ohio Supreme Court.

Buckeye Firearms Foundation can only lead the fight - click here - to help and join their efforts in saving your right to keep and bear arms.

Steaming Load of the Week Award: Homeland Stupidity Secretary Janet Napolitano has her head up her ass

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --

Steaming Load #1: Homeland Stupidity Secretary Janet Napolitano has her head up her ass.

The new fearless leader of America’s Homeland Stupidity Department, Janet Napoltiano, is doing everything in her power to destroy this once great nation. She’s supposed to be protecting us from Jihadikaze asshats, but instead, she is playing word games. Among other things, she has purged "terrorism", "September 11", and "attacks" from her vocabulary, and her entire department.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano avoids mention of the terms "terrorism" or "Sept. 11" in remarks prepared for her first congressional testimony since taking office, signaling a sharp change in tone from her predecessors.

Napolitano is the first homeland security secretary to drop the term "terror" and "vulnerability" from remarks prepared for delivery to the House Homeland Security Committee, according to a copy obtained by The Associated Press.

Tom Ridge, who headed the agency when it was launched in 2003, mentioned terrorism 11 times in his prepared statement at his debut before the oversight committee in 2003. And in 2005 Michael Chertoff, the second secretary, mentioned terrorism seven times, according to an AP analysis of the prepared testimonies.

Napolitano, a former Arizona governor, instead charts a course in very different terms than Chertoff, who used law enforcement and military jargon -- "intelligence," "analysis," "mission" -- to describe the agency's objectives.

The department's top priorities are spelled out in legislation that created it in 2001: preventing a terrorist attack in the United States; reducing the vulnerability for such an attack; and helping with the recovery if the U.S. is attacked.

Napolitano's prepared remarks also show her using the word "attacks" less than her predecessors. She is the first secretary to use a congressional debut to talk about hurricanes and disasters, a sign of the department's evolving mission following Hurricane Katrina. (Fox News)

In addition to leaving us open to Jihadikaze assaults on our liberty, this reeking Homeland Stupidity turd is equally determined to leave America wide open to invasion by border jumping scumbags. Reportedly, the ICE raid in Washington State majorly pissed off this Homeland Stupidity butt bullet and she’s determined that ‘heads will roll’ over the enforcement of America’s immigration laws.

She’s equally blind to the rising tide of Mexican drug cartel violence which is already crossing our border from San Diego to Mexas.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano denied Thursday that the latest drug-fueled violence in Mexico has spilled across the border, even as local officials throughout the country see troubling signs of Mexican gang activity.

The Department of Justice reports that 230 U.S. cities, from Anchorage to Atlanta have a cartel or Mexican gang presence. A February report from the Cato Institute found a "troubling number of incidents" in which Mexico violence was spilling across the border. It also noted increasing violence against U.S. citizens traveling in the southern neighbor.

Federal authorities say more that [sic] $14 billion in illegal drugs are smuggled into the U.S. every year through Mexico. And Phoenix, the capital city of Napolitano's home state of Arizona, recorded 370 kidnappings last year, placing it only second to Mexico City worldwide, though it wasn't immediately clear how many of the kidnappings can be traced to Mexican drug activity. (Fox News)

I know what you’re asking and I’ve got it covered. If she’s not taking care of business on our borders, and can’t be bothered with the Jihadikaze threat, what is her number one concern? She’s obsessed with FEMA and her ‘department’s evolving mission following Hurricane Katrina’. See, and here you were worrying, needlessly.

Janet Napolitano’s politically correct myopia is going to get us killed, unless we find some way to flush this insane bitch, and the Marxish scumbag who put our safety, our sovereignty, in her shit-stained hands.

FLUSH? Hell yes, and the sooner the better.

Girlieman of the Week Award: Rupert Murdoch

Girlieman of the Week
Date Awarded: February 27, 2009

Girlieman: Rupert Murdoch
Girlie Antics: Let Sharpton ‘punk’ him.

For the race hustlers in the NAACP, and race card retards like Al Sharpton, the New York Post cartoon which showed the bullet-riddled body of Travis the chimp is just what the Ethnocrats needed. A gift that keeps on giving, it allows them to attack their arch enemy, Rupert "Fox News Channel" Murdoch on multiple fronts.

Concentrating on the New York Post itself, the NAACP is frantically waving its race card, calling for a boycott of the fishwrap. Their caterwauling is deafening anyone who will listen with demands that the paper start to atone for its alleged sins by firing ‘the offenders’ and increasing - TA DA - diversity in the newsroom.

Elsewhere, Al Sharpton is busy in Washington D.C. where he is trying to nuke an FCC waver that lets Rupert Murdoch own two Big Apple boob tube outlets - WWOR, WNYW - in addition to the New York Post fishwrap. Now that the Marxist Messiah is imposing his own brand of Stalinist tyranny, Sharpton, quite rightly, thinks he has a shot at hitting Rupert where he lives with some FCC sanctions.

Is Rupert man enough to tell these race card retards to grow a pair? Is he man enough to shrug off such petty annoyances? Is he showing the kind of spine that helped him create his world spanning media empire? The answer, to all of these questions, is, I’m sorry to report, "no".

New York Post Chairman Rupert Murdoch apologized Tuesday for a cartoon that critics said likened a violent chimpanzee shot dead by police to President Barack Obama.

In a statement published in the newspaper, Murdoch said he wanted to "personally apologize to any reader who felt offended, and even insulted." He said the Post will work to be more sensitive.

Murdoch said the cartoon was intended only to "mock a badly written piece of legislation." (AP)

Nice try, Rupert, but you, of all people, know that, once you start down that road, there’s no turning back. Maybe, if you let the NAACP program Fox News Channel and turned over your Big Apple media outlets to Sharpton, the Ethnocrats might start, to consider, thinking about, forgiving you, in a couple thousand years. Maybe, but don’t count on it.

For going gutless and girlie when manhood was required...for saying "I’m sorry", when the only answer is "Bite Me"...for aiding and abetting the caterwauling Ethnocrat horde, you, Rupert, are the Politically Incorrect Gazette’s Girlieman of the Week.

Husted proposes new way to select vacancy in US Senate

Seeing that the selection of Roland Burris as Obama's Senate replacement has turned into a complete joke - State Senator John Husted, an Ohio Republican, is proposing a change in the way Ohio fills vacancies on the US Senate. Currently when there is a vacancy the Governor has the right of picking the new Senator.

For those that don't know, that means most likely a Democrat Governor like Rev. Strickland will pick a democrat replacement - even if the voters had previously elected a Republican for this seat. With Husted's proposed change - the will of the voters cannot and will not be ignored --
Instead of letting the governor pick a new senator as Ohio law prescribes today, Sen. Jon Husted’s proposal would fill the seat via special election, the same way vacant U.S. representative seats are already filled.

“A vacancy in the United States Senate is incredibly important and shouldn’t be left to the discretion of just one person,” said Husted, R-Kettering, the former House speaker. (Columbus Dispatch)

Even though I believe most, not all, of our elected officials of both parties in Columbus are a joke - Husted should be commended for standing behind our most important right - the right to vote and be represented by a person of our choosing.

FBI concerned about Home Grown Terrorist Attacks

Last week I posted about an Afghan National arrested in CA for ties to Al-Qaeda & the Taliban. It has now been verified that a U.S. citizen, recruited out of Minnesota, is responsible for a suicide bombing in Somalia.

The FBI is now warning that we should not be surprised if one of these home-grown TNT loving jihadikazes launches an attack here...

One particular concern, the FBI director said, springs from the country's background as a "nation of immigrants." Federal officials worry about pockets of possible radicals among melting-pot communities in the United States such as Seattle, San Diego, Miami or New York.

A Joint Terrorism Task Force led by the FBI, for instance, continues to investigate a group in Minneapolis after one young man last fall flew to Somalia and became what authorities believe to be the first U.S. citizen to carry out a suicide bombing. As many as a half-dozen other youths from that community in Minnesota have vanished, alarming their parents and raising concerns among law enforcement officials that a dangerous recruiting network has operated under the radar.

"The prospect of young men, indoctrinated and radicalized in their own communities . . . is a perversion of the immigrant story," Mueller said.

OH State Senator Ray Miller's Campaign Finance Fiasco

Go get 'em girl!

SoS Jennifer Brunnehilda, like a buzzard circling dead meat, Ohio's Wicked Witch of the South has hopped on her broom & is circling State Senator Ray Miller (D) like the road kill that he will soon be...

State Sen. Ray Miller continues to be dogged by questions about his campaign accounting and spending a week after the Ohio secretary of state's office filed a fresh complaint against him with the Ohio Elections Commission.

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's office is still looking for an explanation for reimbursement checks written to Miller from his campaign and for a series of rent payments that his campaign made to help cover the costs of his private office across from the Statehouse.

The letter that Brunner's office sent to Miller on Friday is the latest in a multiyear effort by the office to piece together what the Columbus Democrat has been spending his money on, and whether there was illegal conversion of campaign money for personal use. (Columbus Dispatch)

Here's what shocks me most...

There appears to be a record or lack of records on - unaccounted campaign spending, questionable expenses, questionable reimbursements, possible phony checks & a birthday party for his wife.

No, not that there is another Democrat in OH that adds like Rev. Strickland - but that how did Obama miss this guy for a Cabinet postition!

A Law Student Letter to Liberals

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely, John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.

Waffles & Grits in the White House

During this past election a couple of guys were given a hard time about making money off of Obama "waffling" during his campaign by selling Obama Waffles.

Korrectnik AP writer, Joan Lowy, conjured up imaginary race issues in her feeble mind and blasted these poor guys who were just trying to make a buck as racist.

Speaking to culinary students visiting the White House kitchen, Michelle Obama let it slip that President O-Waffler really likes waffles...

"There are some mean waffles and grits that are made in the morning that have become a regular staple for some of us," Obama said. But she didn't reveal exactly for who that breakfast pairing has become a morning favorite. Though she was quick to add that she's not the one who eats waffles every day. (Fox News)
Now we all know the waffling during his campaign has turned into lies during PBO's short time in office. But I am curious if Lowy will write an apology to the guys she called racist and if AG Holder will call her a coward if she doesn't?

Solis Lobbying for Labor

From ALG --

President Barack Obama nominated Representative Hilda Solis (D-CA) to be Secretary of Labor in mid-December. Since that point, questions have arisen as to the propriety—and legality—of actions she has taken while in the House.

Rep. Solis, who has served in the House of Representatives and the California state senate, has always been a shill for Big Labor. We knew that already. As she appeared before the Senate, however, other facts from her past—and some from her present—troubled her. USA Today revealed to the senators that her husband's business had been subjected to tax leins by state and local officials, making her yet the latest in a string of nominees whose apparent tax impropriety hurt them.

Even more disturbing, though, is the fact that she served as treasurer for the pro-labor group, American Rights at Work (ARW). House Ethics Rules dictate that no member of the House of Representatives may “personally supervise” lobbying efforts by lobbyist groups:

“[A member] may sit on the board of an organization which, among other things, lobbies Congress, but the Member should not personally supervise the organization‘s lobbying activities since such action on behalf of a single private group would appear inconsistent with her responsibilities to the public at large. [p 352]”

In view of these ethical questions, ALG President Bill Wilson on February 20th sent a letter to the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, asking it to make the call as to whether Rep. Solis violated its ethics guidelines. He noted that, if Rep. Holis' conduct is upheld, it would open up the doors for other Representatives to work with advocacy groups.

As noted in the letter and enclosed materials sent by ALG to Capitol Hill on Friday, Rep. Solis served on the board of directors and as treasurer of ARW while simultaneously serving in the House of Representatives. While she is not paid in her capacity as treasurer, she no doubt “personally supervised” the $169,000 which ARW spent on urging residents of New Hampshire to urge congressional support of the Employee “Free Choice” Act—of which she also served as a co-sponsor in the House.

Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) stated that there have been questions “in regard to the positions she held on the board, which allocates the money for lobbying members of Congress. There are several people on the board, but the treasurer allocates the money....” It is now up to the House to decide whether or not that constitutes a breach of ethics protocol.

Additionally, when filing her annual financial disclosure report, which requires the filer to list affiliations, she failed to inform the House of her position within ARW. Though this could be termed an innocent mistake, failure to disclose information on a financial disclosure report was one of the key issues that helped to bring down former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens. Ms. Solis waited until January 29th to correct her disclosure forms.

If confirmed, President Obama will be forced to decide whether to allow Ms. Solis to push for the Employee “Free Choice” Act, as it may constitute a violation of the ethics provisions laid out in one of the President's first executive orders. The order states
(section 1, paragraph 2):

“All Appointees Entering Government. I will not for a period of 2 years from the date of my appointment participate in any particular matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to my former employer or former clients, including regulations and contracts.”

Clearly, Rep. Solis' connections to the EFCA would fall under this provision. And yet as Secretary of Labor, she would be expected to be the voice of the administration in supporting EFCA. No doubt President Obama would be forced to sign yet another waiver to allow her to continue her support of the pro-union legislation—this time from an official capacity.

But he may not have the chance to do that. In light of her ethical questions, the Senate must tread carefully when considering her nomination. A hold should be placed on her nomination until the House provides clarification on its rules and Rep. Solis explains her disclosure ommissions.

Until then, the Senate must stand by President Obama's commitment to an open and ethical government and refuse to move the nomination until these disturbing questions are satisfactorily answered.

Freddie Mac Will Investigate Self over Lobbying

Oh I just can't wait to read this report! This is like the SEC allowing Bernie Madoff to supply records for his own investigation.
Freddie Mac board chairman John Koskinen confirmed for the AP that an inquiry is under way but declined to comment further. Anthony did not return phone calls and e-mails seeking comment. Corinne Russell, spokeswoman for the federal office that regulates Freddie Mac, declined to comment.

The inquiry inside Freddie Mac follows stories by the AP about the company secretly hiring Republican consulting firm DCI Group of Washington to stop a proposal in the Senate in 2005 sponsored by Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. The legislation would have forced Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to sell hundreds of billions of dollars worth of assets from their portfolios of mortgages and mortgage-backed securities. At the time, the portfolios were highly lucrative but their value plunged when the housing market collapsed. (Yahoo)

Along with the above, the article points out some other tasty tidbits about Freddie Mac
  • An accounting of six-figure payments to 52 outside lobbying firms and political consultants in 2006, including details about what work, if any, the consultants performed for the money paid to their firms.

  • An accounting of personal use by Freddie Mac executives of company-paid tickets and a company-leased skybox at the Verizon Center. Freddie Mac executive Hollis McLoughlin, who oversaw the $2 million campaign by DCI, was photographed by the AP in Freddie Mac's leased skybox four months ago at the season home opener of the Washington Capitals hockey team.

  • Forced to pay a $3.8 million fine in 2006 for illegal campaign donations

  • Settled roughly 20 lawsuits alleging the company fraudulently inflated the price of its stock from 1999-2002.
If there is proof they were inflating their stock prices as early as 1999, I'd bet they were doing this long before then. Even so, why wasn't someone watching these guys closer? I guess that what happens when you let the fox watch the hen house!

Porkulus I ignores money owed to US Soldiers

This King-Size kick in the nuts goes to BOTH President Bush & President Barack Obama! The whole time they are figuring out where the money for TARP, the Auto Bailout & Porkulus I - our soldiers have been waiting for bonuses they have been promised.

Since Bush is out of office - we will concentrate on PBO and the looney left running our country. Yes, as our soldiers forced to serve on extended duty are still waiting to receive their promised bonuses. Porkulus I will purchase millions of dollars worth of automobiles for DC, $30 million for saving Ninny Pelosi's mouse and other untold billions of dollars on nothing that will help our country get out of this mess. But why would we do the right thing and pay the guys THAT ARE not only helping - but serving our country...
The Pentagon has not started complying with a law requiring the payment of monthly bonuses of up to $500 to soldiers forced to remain on active duty beyond their enlistment period, military officials said.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman acknowledged the five-month delay in paying the bonuses and said the Defense Department is working on a plan to start paying the almost 13,000 soldiers currently under the Army's stop-loss orders. Although Defense Secretary Robert Gates wants to end the policy, the number of soldiers affected has risen since the middle of 2007.

Congress added $72 million to pay for the bonuses in its plan for the budget year that started Oct. 1. The money was to be paid after the Pentagon submitted a plan outlining how the payments would be made. (USA Today)

Let's see they force GM & Chrsyler to immediately submit a plan, then slam them for flying on private jets. Our congress has taken 5 months, still don't have a plan and gave themselves raises.

So I will ask this... with the elected officials in DC showing they obviously don't care about our troops protecting our country and our values - why the hell would someone think they care about us?

Pakistan truce with Taliban leads to Kidnapping of Pakistani Official

Another great result from negotiating with terrorists!

The truce between Pakistan and a Swat Valley Taliban group, Tehrik-e-Nifaz Shariat Muhammadi, appears to be falling apart – at least in western standards. Agreeing to what they believed was a permanent truce and the Taliban looked at as a 10-day truce, Swat valley officials are now missing an official.

After the commissioner for Malakand, Syed Mohammad Javed, agreed to allow Sharia Law be implemented and policed by the local Taliban of the Swat valley – a government administrator, Khushal Khan, and six of his guards were kidnapped.

A spokesman for the local jihadikazes has acknowledged they have Khan, but deny he is a hostage…
"He [Khan] is our guest. We have to discuss some issues with him. We will serve him tea and then free him."

Now, Javed, the negotiator of the truce feels and feeling like a bigger idiot than he already is, is calling the Taliban “miscreants.”

Why I'm Becoming a Liberal

Don't worry... I'm not becoming a liberal. I love my son and would not be able to look him in the eyes if I did - but the guys at PIG had the following submitted from an unkown author. It is pretty spot on about the looney left's way of thinking...

Why I'm Becoming a Liberal

Because I've given up owning a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

Because I'm looking forward to more justices on the Supreme Court like Ruth Bader Ginsberg, who advocates lowering the age of sexual consent between adults and children to twelve years old.

Because I'm looking forward to using the ACLU and the upcoming Obama Supreme Court to allow me to marry whatever I want. As soon as possible, I intend to marry two women, a man, and my dog.

Because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are ‘obscene' but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at over 15% (40% in California) isn't.

Because I believe the government can do a far better job of spending the money I earn than I can.

Because ‘freedom of speech' is fine, as long as no one on the Left is offended by it. Of course, I can be as extreme as I like when I attack conservatives; they deserve it.

Because when Obama pulls our troops out of Iraq, I trust that the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

Because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday are absolutely correct when they tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

Because I'm not concerned about the quiet murder of millions of unborn babies each year, as long as we keep all death row inmates and all Qaeda terrorists alive and well-fed.

Because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break-even, and give the rest to the government for redistribution as it sees fit.

Because I believe liberal judges need to re-write the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe element that would never get their agendas past the voters.

"Liberals are people who will never hesitate to use political power to give away anything that they don't own."

IL State Rep. Kenneth Dunkin proposes mandatory $1,000,000 insurance policy to own a gun

How's this fancy attack on our 2nd Amendment rights in President Obama's old stomping grounds. IL State Rep. Kenneth Dunkin has sponsored an amendment to HB 0687 - the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act --

Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that any person who owns a firearm in this State shall maintain a policy of liability insurance in the amount of at least $1,000,000 specifically covering any damages resulting from negligent or willful acts involving the use of such firearm while it is owned by such person. Provides that a person shall be deemed the owner of a firearm after the firearm is lost or stolen until such loss or theft is reported to the police department or sheriff of the jurisdiction in which the owner resides.

Provides that the Department of State Police shall revoke and seize a Firearm Owner's Identification Card previously issued under this Act if the Department finds that the person to whom such card was issued possesses or acquires a firearm and does not submit evidence to the Department of State Police that he or she has been issued in his or her name a liability insurance policy in the amount of at least $1,000,000 specifically covering any damages resulting from negligent or willful acts involving the use of such firearm while it is owned by such person. Effective January 1, 2010. (Emphasis Added)

If Rep. Barbara Boyd of Ohio & Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson fail in their latest attempt at outlawing guns in Cleveland, don't be surprised if this isn't their next step.

Afghan National with ties to Al-Qaeda & Taliban arrested in CA

This is for those who still doubt the dangers we face from terrorists wanting to attack us on our own soil...

Ahmadullah Sais Niazi, 34, who was arrested without incident this morning at his Tustin residence by members of the joint terrorism task force, was named in a five-count indictment returned Feb. 11 by a federal grand jury.

The
indictment, unsealed this morning, alleges Niazi hid associations with "Specially Designated Global Terrorists," groups including Al Qaeda, Hizb-i-Islami and the Taliban, when he completed nationalization papers five years ago. During one visit, the government alleges Niazi visited Dr. Amin al-Haq, the security coordinator for Osama bin Laden.

Charges against Niazi include perjury, naturalization fraud, misuse of a passport obtained by fraud and making a false statement to a federal agency. (LA Times)

Governors refusing Stimulus Funds accused of being Racist

I want to start this post by saying - I could not agree more with AG Holders remarks that our country is cowards when it comes to race. Though I do find it hypocritical coming from a man who got his job BECAUSE of the color of his skin - I have to ask who is afraid of race discussions?

Who keeps making race an issue? What party is hypersensitive about race?

Time and time again, we are seeing how Obama's election has done everything but transcend race. In fact I would say it has injected a racial backdrop on everything he does. Instead of being the President of the United States - his minions and Barack himself - continually play the race card for our first Black POTUS, even though he is bi-racial.

The citing of race and portrayal of victimhood is a typical, tried and proven tactic of most inner-city community activists. When Harry Reid raised questions about Roland Burris taking Obama's senate seat - he was accused of being racist. We also have all the hoopla over the stimulus cartoon in which some believe Barack was portrayed as a trained chimp. And of course we remember how anyone that did not support Obama was also accused of being racist.

Now comes the Stimulus Bill packed with 8yrs of democrat desires. Besides not creating the jobs as it is intended too, the bill will also saddle states with increased spending programs they will be unable to pay for in the future. Because of this, several Governors - Govs. Mark Sanford (SC), Rick Perry (TX), Bobby Jindal (LA), Haley Barbour (MS), Sarah Palin (AK), Butch Otter (ID) & Tim Pawlenty (MN) are resisting giving up the rights of their state and are refusing to accept portions of the money...
“The federal money in this bill will run out in less than three years for this benefit and our businesses would then be stuck paying the bill,” Jindal said. “We must be careful and thoughtful as we examine all the strings attached to the funding in this package. We cannot grow government in an unsustainable way.”

“Subject to learning more, my position is that Mississippi won’t accept funds that require us to have a tax increase later, because [they would force] us to change our rules for qualifying for unemployment compensation,” Barbour said.
(Yahoo News)

Your asking what the hell does this have to with being racist - right? It will show how the race card is convientently tossed out and until this stops - working past race and fixing our country will never happen.

For very good reasons and agreeing with over half of the US, some of these above Governors are being accused of being racist for resisting the stimulus funds...
House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., amplified earlier statements that the governors' hesitation in accepting stimulus money had insulted him because "these four states are in the heart of the black belt.''

Clyburn singled out Republican Govs. Mark Sanford of South Carolina, Rick Perry of Texas, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Haley Barbour of Mississippi.

This is a perfect example of how race is used by blacks, some democrats and most liberals when they don't get what they want. Leading up to this stand-off and taking a swipe at political rival, SC Governor Sanford, Clyburn inserted an amendment empowering state legislative leaders to accept the special federal aid if the governor fails to act within 45 days of the measure’s enactment.

So if there are ways to force the Governors to take the stimulus funds - why would Clyburn come out and inflame issues by bringing up race? Why would Clyburn purposely name the southern states and leave out the northern states? I'll tell you why - because invoking the race card makes headlines.

If handi-wipe Holder is sincere in his remarks and is not a coward himself - then he should publicly rebuke Clyburn for making these racially explosive, baseless and insensitive remarks. The same goes for President Obama if he truly wants to show his sincerity about transcending race - unless this too will be another broken campaign promise.

Sen. Feinstein Should be Removed from Senate Intelligence Committee

Instead of leaking information to the press that endangers the well-being of our soldiers and jeopardizing our mission like before, now they democrats just blurt out classified information in public.

Senator Dianne "Blabbermouth" Feinstein should be immediately removed from her post as chairwomen of the Senate Intelligence Committee!

From National Terror Alert --

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s blurt during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing last week forced the U.S. intelligence and military community to acknowledge on Thursday that the U.S. is targeting Al Qaeda and Taliban operatives using unmanned drones based in Pakistan.

The senator’s slip sent reporters into overdrive and led to the discovery of a 2006 picture provided by Google Earth that appears to show Predator drones at Shamsi air base 200 miles southwest of Quetta.

Feinstein’s remarks, which were characterized as “foolish” by U.S. officials, were unusual for the experienced chairwoman of the intelligence panel.

Steaming Load Award: Kraut peace pukes give U.S. Army deserter their annual peace prize

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --

Steaming Load #1: Kraut peace pukes give U.S. Army deserter their annual peace prize.

This turd’s name is Andre Shepard, a deserter who is seeking asylum in the Fatherland, after giving his nation, and his fellow warriors, the finger, over his opposition to the war in Iraq.
Shepherd walked off his base in southern Germany in spring 2007 and spent 19 months on the run before applying for asylum in November last year. He is the first Army deserter to seek asylum in Germany. Before then, he had completed a five-month stint in Iraq between September 2004 and February 2005 in which he serviced Apache helicopters as part of the 412th Aviation Support Battalion. (AFP)
As stinky as this bastard is, there’s an even bigger turd floating in the bowl with him. It’s the Munich American Peace Committee which is set to give Andre its annual prize for being the biggest peace puke rat bastard of the year:
The Munich American Peace Committee said it was awarding the prize to Shepherd for his "courage and conviction in despite of the possibly extreme punishment from the US authorities" and "for publicising your convictions to give other soldiers the courage also to leave the army and to push for peace." (AFP)
If the Krauts what this deserter, they can keep him. Yes, we’d love to see him rotting his life away in a military prison, or, better still, serving as the guest of dishonor at a firing squad, but there are problems with that lovely scenario. In this Obamunist Error, Barry the Boy Blunder would probably try to make Andre Shepard his new Commerce Secretary. Flushing him down the Kraut crapper sounds a lot more civilized.

Does Cuyahoga County REALLY Want Reform?

Over the past 2 years we have seen several insincere attempts of reforming, restructuring and streamlining Cuyahoga County government. There have been committees formed, State Senators & Representatives assembled, proposals put forth and we are still at square one, barring a few minor proposed changes.

Overall, we are no further today than where we were when all these “know more than us” politicians and community group smarty-pants first put their empty minds together to save the region that they have pretty much let go to crap.

I have always said this reform movement is a joke and is being driven by Commissioner Hagan and the business community as a way to further consolidate their strangle hold that has been killing this region. Besides allowing one person, Louis Stokes, to over power the selected group – there were no meaningful discussions on how to improve this region.

Here is where I will prove my case…

Over the past year or so there has been several major breaks in water lines owned by the City of Cleveland and serviced by the City of Cleveland Water Dept (
CWD). Now the PD is highlighting the billing problems many of the 1.5 million CWD customers are experiencing.

The City of Cleveland Water Dept. owns & services somewhere in the ballpark of over 6000 miles of water line. These waterlines service four counties - Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, & Summit. The footprint for the City of Cleveland proper sits over approximately 25% - 28% of the 6000 miles of waterline. The total daily consumption of water for the City of Cleveland alone is approximately 25%-28% of the overall total daily consumption and only 33% of the 1.5 million customers are City of Cleveland residents or businesses.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson has blackmailed many area communities into signing onto his Joint Economic Development Agreement, better known as his “no-poaching” agreement. In this 20-year agreement, cities will agree to a limited payroll tax-sharing plan with the City of Cleveland should any business leave Cleveland and relocate in their city. In exchange for signing onto this agreement – Mayor Jackson proposed only a minimal increase in the water bills and pledged to invest $10 million a year for 5 years on repairing waterlines.

The devil is in the details with this plan… any waterline repair project the cities may have, now get lumped in with Cleveland’s. When the CWD goes to select how this $10 million would be spent, they review their existing problems and the waterline woes of the cities that signed the JED. This would also apply when making applications for grants.

The City of Cleveland is pushing hard that by signing on, they, CWD, will make any and all repairs to the waterlines. The problem is, even before the JED, as owners, CWD already makes any and all repairs all breaks on the water line. Any city choosing not to participate would have a higher rate increase and would not benefit from the $50 million in promised repairs. The only communities responsible for repairing waterline breaks are Master Meter cities. All other communities are responsible for water line rehab projects on distribution mains and CWD is responsible for maintaining transmission mains.

A fair estimate for installing 1 mile of waterline, depending on conditions and the exact scope of work, is approximately $400,000 - $500,000. Not even getting into where Mayor Jackson thinks he will finding this extra $10 million a year, we could see it will not go very far. If a city participating in the JED wishes to undertake a waterline project that is not selected, they will be responsible for any funding.

With this, it can easily be said that Cleveland Water Dept is operating as an unregulated public utility affecting users throughout four counties. Being the only provider of water, depending on location, many communities have no choice but to use CWD. The only power any community being served by CWD – is the power of suggestion. They are all subject to the whims of one man – Mayor Frank Jackson and the financial needs of Cleveland.

During a RPCC meeting in 2007 we were wrangling with our party platform in which the county reform came up. In these discussions I questioned the sincerity of the county reform and asked why the restructuring of CWD was not on the table. My questions went unanswered then and again in 2008. To be fair, I have also asked my local democrat elected officials the same and also recieved no response.

SO if any of the elected officials of this area are truly sincere in making change – why is the one single entity, CWD, having a monopoly over service, operating as an unregulated utility and affecting the most residents of Cuyahoga County not being the first thing discussed when they talk about county reform.

CWD should be disbanded and put under the authority of a Regional Water Commission broken down into Service Districts. This commission should be comprised equally of elected officials, City Service Directors, City Engineers and community stakeholders (residents) from areas that are being served.

New York Post Cartoonist Offends Chimps

As with this bipartisanship thing, the new administration, the MSM and the liberal loons are having troubles with the transcending race thing promised with Obama's anointment.

Yesterday, New York Post cartoonist, Sean Delonas, sharpened his crayons and scribbled out a very appropriate cartoon depicting the monkey business surrounding the stimulus bill. The cartoon also pokes fun at the police officers who were recently forced to shoot a rampaging chimp...

The reaction? Holy- shit storms! Everybody from Rev. Al, forgetting about his part in a phony rape case, calls the picture - "troubling at best." (Note: the 'Rev' was silent when Rev. Wright called Italians "Garlic Noses")

Besides the expected outrage from the party that has a jackass for a logo - the spittle heads over at Huffington Post, forgetting all the nice things they used to say about President Bush, are just besides themselves with disgust...

Sam Stein wrote on the Obama-friendly Huffington Post website that it seems "rife with racial and political sensitivities."

"At its most benign, the cartoon suggests that the stimulus bill was so bad, monkeys may as well have written it," Stein opined.

"Most provocatively, it compares the president to a rabid chimp. Either way, the incorporation of violence and (on a darker level) race into politics is bound to be controversial."

I agree with Stien where he says the cartoon suggests the stimulus bill was so bad monkeys could have done better. So his anger should be directed at Delonas for offending chimps.

Another McFoul for McFaul

Cuyahoga County Sheriff Gerald McFaul is facing more questions of possible misconduct during his time in office. The ever vigilant PD has again show they are right on top of things by obtaining 23 yr old tapes in which McFaul is heard instructing a potential witness against him in a sexual harassment case how to avoid being served a subpoena.

When confronted with these recordings, our old enough to fart dust Sheriff acknowledged it was his voice on the tapes...
"That sounds like me," McFaul said. "I had a stronger voice then. I'd say that's my voice."

McFaul recognized the woman's voice on the tape and named her. He declined to listen to the entire tape but confirmed it was him talking to the woman. He said he could not remember the details.

"I don't recall this, really," he said. "How far back? My memory's blank now."

A Cuyahoga County elected official having a blank mind... now that's news - right?

Rahm Emanuel Faces Taxing Issue of Patriotism

President BO's other half, Vice President Joe Biden, has defined paying taxes as a way of showing your patriotism - well it looks like President BO has stunk up his cabinet with another unpatriotic selection...

From WND --

There could be tax troubles on the horizon for White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who reportedly has lived rent-free in Washington for five years but hasn't paid taxes on the imputed income from that, according to reports.

According to the New York Post, the free rent in a home owned by Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., and not disclosing that "gift" apparently isn't all that's being questioned about Emanuel's arrangements, either.

Another issue is "the work Emanuel tossed the way of DeLauro's husband, Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg."

The Post said while Emanuel was living in the rent-free arrangement, he also served part of the time as the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which gave Greenberg several polling contracts, paying him $239,000 in 2006 and $317,000 in 2008. More...

It is reported that the amount of the unpaid rent can be upwards of $100,000 or more. Emanuel, in a Daschle type demeanor, claims this rent-free home was "hospitality" between friends.

I guess he was just being grateful and patriotic by returning the friendly "hospitality" in giving DeLauro's husband no-bid contracts.

Barack opens US Borders for Hamas Terrorists

Everybody pretty much knows one of the biggest threats our country faces is another terrorist attack on our own soil. In fact, I just posted yesterday about a Kuwaiti professor who says he dreams of biological attacks on the US.

Just about every ABC named extremist Islamikaze group has sworn the destruction of the US. These groups are full of dynamite-vest wearing Jihadikazes that believe their only goal in life is to attack the United States. One of the groups that hates us is the Hamas terrorist group who is running the Gaza Strip. Hamas, currently under reciprocating attacks from Israel, is backed by the Iranian-supported Islamic Jihad Movement and Syria.

For many reasons, one being our freedom, we are and always will be vulnerable for a terrorist attacks on our soil. So one could easily call a person that would potentially jeopardize who knows how many American lives by giving supporters of terrorism and suicide bombings a guest pass into our country an IDIOT - right?

Nope - you call him President Barack Obama...

Newsday endangers safety of Pro-Gun Democrat - Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand

Sen. Gillibrand of NY, Hillary Clinton's replacement, has been under attack from almost every MSM outlet and fellow democrats across the US. Why? Because she supports our 2nd Amendment rights. This is a big no-no for most democrats.

One way or another the anti-gun nuts are determined to squash our right to keep and bear arms. As we know the MSM has routinely endangered the lives of our soldiers with there anti-US propaganda and now Newsday has endangered the life of Senator Gillibrand and her family...

From Fox News --
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whose pro-gun stance has attracted criticism from fellow New York Democrats, has moved two rifles she kept under her bed for protection because of news reports about the weapons.

In a Newsday interview published earlier Monday, Gillibrand said she and her husband, Jonathan, kept the rifles to protect their upstate New York home. The couple has two young children.

Gillibrand spokesman Matt Canter told the newspaper in a story posted on the its Web site Monday evening that the rifles were removed for security reasons because their location had been reported. More...

To put a local spin on this would be the race for Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. When potential candidate Jimmy "Pancakes" Petro was AG for Ohio, he pushed for records of people possessing Carry/Conceal licenses be open to the public, and if not, then at least the media.

Thank God for Ohio gun owners wanting to protect their families, Pancake Jim was unsuccessful in making an OH gun owners personal information open for public viewing. The above post illustrates exactly why, and what the MSM would do with this information.

Obama supports Gay Pedophilia Group that UN Rejected

Well isn't that special! President Ohubba-hubba is determined to spread his support for man-love across the globe. It looks like he is taking his message of Hope & Change on a gay global mission and tailoring it to be - " Hope he doesn't Change his mind before I'm done."

I recently remember reading where someone said Obama & his family values will be a good example for American families.

I guess if the family is headed up by Neal & Bob, (because that's what they do) and like passing out candy to little boys on the playground in a NAMBLAesque fashion - that above statement would be accurate.

From WND --

A homosexual group with possible ties to pedophilia may be too scandalous for the United Nations – but not for the Obama administration.

The U.N.'s Non-Governmental Organization Committee, or NGO, rejected an application of the Brazilian Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transvestite and Transexual Association, or ABGLT, because its founder is under investigation for promoting pedophilia on his blog, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute reports.

"The UK pushed hard for the group to be accepted," C-FAM President Austin Ruse told the Catholic News Agency. "The Obama administration also voted in favor of granting official status to the group." More...

Kuwaiti Professor Dreams of a Biological Attack on USA

Hey, I thought the Jihadikazes were going to like us if Obama won...

Lake Erie Wind Turbine Study led by Blow Hards

Now if this doesn't explain why the Cuyahoga County is so screwed up - nothing will. We have our political hack of a county prosecutor, Bill Mason, heading up the study for wind turbines. So this I must ask... - other than being a blowhard - what exactly in his background makes him qualified for this position?

I would say having the guy who initially thumbed his nose at Lady Justice is hardly a beacon of hope for our exploration into wind turbines on Lake Erie.

After receiving a grant for $672,000 for the study, Mason, a potential target in the Cuyahoga County corruption scandal, proves this project will ALSO be just another silver butt bullet for Cuyahoga County...

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason, the task force chairman, said a chunk of that will pay the salary of one of his top assistants, Steve Dever, who will step in as the task force's first executive director.

Dever has been a key figure as the task force builds expertise and capital to pursue an off-shore wind pilot project -- six to eight turbines on the lake, along with a research and testing center.

Dever said the Cleveland Foundation money will cover his $112,000 salary as he takes an absence from the prosecutor's office.

"I'll take a year off from ... chasing bad guys to chase wind," Dever said at a task force meeting Thursday, held at the Cleveland Foundation. (PD)

Exactly Mr. Dever, you will be chasing the wind - unfortunately for Cuyahoga County residents it is turning out to be a "fart in a wind storm".

Burris' Bull - More lies from Democrats

Boy these democrats are really turning out to be the pillar of integrity. Obama's potential replacement in the Senate - Roland Burris, the man appointed by the now impeached Gov. Blagojevich of IL has been caught lying under oath...
For the first time, Burris indicated that he asked Blagojevich's former chief of staff and college classmate, Lon Monk, to relay his interest in the Senate seat to the governor last July or September.

"If you're close to the governor, you know, let him know I'm certainly interested in the seat," Burris said he told Monk.

That testimony appears to differ from an affidavit Burris submitted to the impeachment panel this week in which he stated he spoke to no "representatives" of the governor about the Senate post prior to Dec. 26. (Chicago Sun-Times)

Burris explains his step into the Blagojeshit by claiming he was only talking to Monk as a friend and not as a representative of the Governor.

Stop Global Warming

Here is more scientific proof of Global Warming...

From Politically Incorrect Gazette

City of Cleveland prepares for another attack on 2nd Amendment

Now here's some breaking news you won't find in the local fishwrap we call the Plain Dealer. The City of Cleveland is again trying to back door our 2nd Amendment rights.

From Buckeye Firearms --
Even as the City of Cleveland continues to be the only municipality in Ohio illegally enforcing local firearm laws, while at the same time lying about it to the media, Buckeye Firearms Association has learned that the anti-Second Amendment, anti-self-defense, anti-hunting legislation which Mayor Frank Jackson tried unsuccessfully to get passed in the 127th General Assembly is about to be reintroduced.

According to our sources, Rep. Barbara Boyd (D) is circulating a letter requesting co-sponsors for a piece of gun control legislation which died at the end of last session, and which she apparently intends to reintroduce. The legislation, which was known in the 127th General Assembly as House Bill 354, was written by Mayor Jackson's own law department, and first introduced October 16, 2007 by Rep. Boyd and Rep. Sandra Williams (D). More...

Like I have said before, with Obamao now being President, we can expect that our 2nd Amendment right to legally possess, own and carry firearms will be under constant attack. And again, this is all the more reason we need a known entity serving as our next chief justice on the Ohio Supreme Court.

Local Law Firm - Jones Day - Goose Steps on 1st Amendment

Earlier this year I posted on how the law firm of Jones Day was suing realty-based website, Block Shoppers, for linking to their website without permission. At issue was, Jones Day felt that by re-listing real estate purchase made by their attorneys and linking to their site, Block Shoppers was portraying an affiliation with the firm.

Even though most legal experts felt this was equal of a Grand Canyon leap of rational legal thinking, and the real estate listing were a matter of public record, Jones Day initially offered Block Shoppers a deal... in exchange for not being sued, give us a check for $10,000, remove the links and we will forgive you. Refusing to be extorted and standing up to Jones Day's attack on our 1st Amendment rights, Block Shoppers initially told the licentious, litigating leeches to go pound salt.

After months of trying to appease Jones Day's, Block Shoppers was no longer able to keep up with the deep-pockets of Jones Day....
Under the settlement, Blockshopper can continue to link to Jones Day's site, but it must use the firm's Web address as the link.

Blockshopper says it spent more than $100,000 defending itself against the lawsuit.

"They had no shot at winning, but they were going to bleed us dry," said co-founder Brian Timpone, who described the settlement Wednesday. (PD)

It should be noted that the settlement the goose-steppers at Jones Day finally accepted was offered 4 months earlier, when Block Shoppers had only spent $10,000 in legal fees.

Boy, how I would love to be their next target.

Mandel for Ohio Treasurer?

It can be said that Jill from Writes Like She Talks is always up to speed about the Democrats and also keeps a watchful eye on the opposition. Here, Jill lists a link about her Republican Ohio Rep. Josh Mandel and his exploring of a possible run for Ohio Treasurer...
Others were from other parts of the state and are still largely unknown to Republicans here, like Josh Mandel, a state representative from northeast Ohio and a Marine Corps veteran if Iraq. He plans to take on Ohio Treasurer Kevin Boyce, a Columbus Democrat who was appointed to the job in December.
Kevin who?

I will say one thing - if Josh decides to run for this position - run he does! The guy worked so hard he wore out a pair of shoes knocking doors in his last election. Boyce had better get som in-kind donations form Reebok!

White House posts Economic Stimulus Bill online for Comment

Looking to be famous?

The White House has posted a copy of President Obamao's pork-filled stimulus bill online so you can send a private comment. Click Here

Imagine that... the comments for the bill the democrats are claiming most of the United States supports - will not be shown. Of course you know one of the three comments supporting the stimulus will be read to the public as a signal of country-wide support. Then throw in a couple - "Just like Lincoln..." and there you have it!

In order to leave a comment you must leave your name and an email address, so please be careful. If you say anything disparaging may I suggest using the name Fidel, Che, Mao or Hugo...

If not - you might end up being the next Joe the Plumber!

Pelosi Stimulates a Harvest Mouse

Why does it not surprise me Rep. Ninny Pelosi, a person who supported a pornographic Gay Last Supper event, would think spending $30 million for saving a mouse would be considered instrumental in a stimulus plan.

From ALG --

There’s an old saying that, “If you give a mouse a cookie, it'll ask for a glass of milk.” Well, it appears that the salt marsh harvest mouse may receive more than just a cookie. Thanks to house Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), up to $30 million has been allocated in the so-called economic “stimulus” bill, for wetlands restoration—surprise, surprise—Ms. Pelosi’s home district in order to accommodate the creature comforts of the harvest mouse.

While the stated purpose of the $789 billion spending bill—$1.1 trillion after interest—is to promote job growth and thereby stimulate the economy, the bill has turned into special-interest funding heaven, with billions of non-existent taxpayer dollars going to fund legislators’ pet projects. And yet the politicians have no qualms about promoting it as the best-laid plans of mice and men.

As the bill, almost universally opposed by Republicans—as well as 69 percent of Americans who lack confidence that Congress knows what it is doing when it comes to addressing the country’s current economic problems—entered the final stages of negotiation between House and Senate, Democratic leaders engaged in a game of cat and mouse with the American people, claiming that the bill has no earmarks.

And yet, spending $30 million on wetlands in the district of the Speaker of the House can hardly be called anything but an earmark—especially given the fact that Ms. Pelosi has pushed for funding of the mouse's wetlands in past sessions. More...

The only person I would think that might agree saving a mouse could stimulate anything would be maybe... Richard Gere?!?

Steaming Load Award: Border Jumping scumbags sue an Arizona farmer

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --

Steaming Load of the Week

Steaming Load: Border Jumping scumbags sue an Arizona farmer whose only crime is defending his rightful property.

Arizona rancher, Roger Barnett, is going through (in)justice system hell, because he dared to defend his Cross Rail Ranch (Douglas, Arizona) from the border jumping scumbag invaders who keep ravaging his property. By 1998, he knew that the only way to get the job done was to mount a vigorous defense. Since then, he has been rounding up the border jumpers (12,000 so far), who use his property as a primary invasion route. That effort has, belatedly, borne bitter fruit.

He’s embroiled in a nasty federal lawsuit wherein a group of border jumping scumbags - fronted by the America hating turds in MALDEF - are trying to nail Roger with a $32 million dollar payday:

‘...[The border jumping rat bastards seek] seeks $32 million in actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, the infliction of emotional distress and other crimes. Also named are Mr. Barnett's wife, Barbara,
his brother, Donald, and Larry Dever, sheriff in Cochise County, Ariz., where the Barnetts live. The civil trial is expected to continue until Friday.

The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog.

Attorneys for the immigrants - five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States - have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape.

The immigrants are represented at trial by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which also charged that Sheriff Dever did nothing to prevent Mr. Barnett from holding their clients at "gunpoint, yelling obscenities at them and kicking one of the women.

"In the lawsuit, MALDEF said Mr. Barnett approached the group as the immigrants moved through his property, and that he was carrying a pistol and threatening them in English and Spanish. At one point, it said, Mr. Barnett's dog barked at several of the women and he yelled at them in Spanish, "My dog is hungry and he's hungry for buttocks."

The lawsuit said he then called his wife and two Border Patrol agents arrived at the site. It also said Mr. Barnett acknowledged that he had turned over 12,000 illegal immigrants to the Border Patrol since 1998...’ (Washington Times)

As far as I’m concerned, Roger showed considerable restraint, given the level of destruction that the border jumping scumbag invaders inflicted on his property, year, after year, after year, after year:

‘...Mr. Barnett told The Washington Times in a 2002 interview that he began rounding up illegal immigrants after they started to vandalize his property, northeast of Douglas along Arizona Highway 80. He said the immigrants tore up water pumps, killed calves, destroyed fences and gates, stole trucks and broke into his home.

Some of his cattle died from ingesting the plastic bottles left behind by the immigrants, he said, adding that he installed a faucet on an 8,000-gallon water tank so the immigrants would stop damaging the tank to get water.

Mr. Barnett said some of the ranch's established immigrant trails were littered with trash 10 inches deep, including human waste, used toilet paper, soiled diapers, cigarette packs, clothes, backpacks, empty 1-gallon water bottles, chewing-gum wrappers and aluminum foil - which supposedly is used to pack the drugs the immigrant smugglers give their "clients" to keep them running.

He said he carried a pistol during his searches for the immigrants and had a rifle in his truck "for protection" against immigrant and drug smugglers, who often are armed...’ (Washington Times)

If Roger Barnett gets the royal injustice system, shaft, it will be another nail in the coffin of American liberty. These border jumping scumbag turds, the federal judge who is coddling them, and the MALDEF piles of shit, need to be flushed back to Mexico WHERE THEY BELONG.

President Obamao

In honoring the ascension of Hope & Change in the White House and in securing the first step in a new direction for our country - a step our Founding Fathers could have never imagined - the following banners will be hung in the public squares of cities across the New Amerika...

Ohio's next Chief Justice must be a Strong Defender of our 2nd Amendment rights

The potential GOP primary between Ohio Supreme Court Justice Maureen O'Connor and political retread, former Ohio AG Jim Petro, for chief justice of the Ohio Supreme Court is sure to be interesting. Justice O'Connor, a highly respected jurist along with being the highest vote getter in the last election, and pay to play professional - Pancake Jim Petro - who by his own admission is just looking for another political job, will be looking to replace the retiring Chief Justice Moyer.

With the full-frontal assault on our 2nd Amendment rights that we are expected to face during the hopefully only one term of President Obama & his gun-grabbing loyalists, gun-owners must remain vigilant in selecting candidates in any race and especially mindful of where these two potential opponents stand on Gun Control.

Noting that both candidates have been steadfast in their support of our 2nd Amendment rights, Buckeye Firearms, though not yet endorsing any candidate, indicates Justice O'Connor can always be counted on and has a perfect record in supporting our right to keep and bear arms. They also note that Pancake Jim, while usually supporting our 2nd Amendment rights has waffled once before and tried giving us gun owners a swift kick in the "pistol"...

When it was first passed in 2004, Ohio's concealed carry law contained a media access loophole, inserted by Governor Taft as an 11th hour poison pill. Petro upset gun owners by repeatedly argued in favor not-only of giving the media access to this private information, but the public at large.

At the time, legislators in Ohio were warned that newspapers would abuse the law and publish entire lists of CHL-holders. They were also warned that such lists could then be exploited by criminals wishing to steal firearms, and that instances of criminals targeting particular locations they know to contain specific valuables (such as firearms), and staking out or casing residences to make sure no one is home, are common and well documented.

Petro called such scenario "a stretch", yet in the following year we documented two instances in Ohio where a robber and rapist used newspaper ads to lure their victims into a trap.

In all fairness, as our AG, Petro defended the constitutionality of the Carry/Conceal law for Ohioans. But as we can see - he was also willing to open our living rooms and jeopardize the safety of gun owners & their families by giving gun-hating liberals and criminals free access to their personal information. In other words, Petro, while supporting our 2A rights, was also willing to make legal gun owners identifiable targets for the anti-gun goons and offer up a menu of potential victims for the criminals.

In voting for Justice O'Connor gun owners, through her track record, will KNOW we have a strong defender of our 2nd Amendment rights. As for Petro - gun owners, through his above noted actions, can only HOPE for a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights.

Voinovich votes No on Stimulus Bull - Thank You!

While it might be shocking for some, I want to take the time and thank Senator Voinovich for voting NO against Obama's pork-fest of a stimulus bill.

The PD printed this following statement from Senator Voinovich...
"I keenly understand that Ohioans are hurting and our nation needs an economic shot in the arm. I worked towards and was prepared to support a package that put people back to work, injected needed capital into our economy and provided a safety net for families who the recession hit the hardest. I voted against this bill because it is weighed down by too much spending that is not stimulative and will not provide the jump-start our economy so desperately needs. Instead of funding federal responsibilities that are shovel-ready, like highways, sewers and housing, which would put people back to work quickly and the results of which would contribute to our nation's economic growth, this bill is filled with items that should be funded through the regular appropriations process and compete with other federal priorities in President Obama's budget request.

"Our nation is facing a catastrophic debt and this bill simply adds to that debt without fulfilling the well-accepted stimulus criteria that the funds be timely, targeted and temporary. It is irresponsible for us to attempt to save the present by mortgaging the future. It is my hope that my colleagues on the conference committee will get back to basics and do the work the American people are asking them to do: ensure that each and every dollar in this bill is focused on creating jobs, jump-starting the economy and responding to the human needs brought about by the deep recession our country is experiencing."

As Senator Voinovich refused to mortgage our future on a liberal wish list, Senatwhore Sherrod Brown swallowed all of Obama's big pork package with no problem. Senatwhore Brown mouthed the same empty rhetoric that President Barack O-Pimp Daddy has been trying to sell us about how this bill will create jobs and put people back to work.

The stimulus bill - will NOT create jobs immediately, in fact it will not even create jobs or get people back to work soon. I believe I have read somewhere that construction workers have the highest percentage of people not working or laid off. Stimulus supporters keep trying to sell everyone on the "shovel ready" infrastructure projects part of the bill as a way to create construction jobs. But when?

Being involved in all aspects of infrastructure construction, from planning & design to construction & completion - I can speak with some authority in this area. The term "shovel ready" regarding infrastructure projects is misleading for most people and I am truly confident the tormented electors throwing it around in D.C. have no real concept of what they are saying.

Here, using a standard road project & sewer reconstruction project in the City of Kingville I will review the work involved in starting one of the so-called "shovel ready" projects to begin; First we will have to assume that the project has been designed, and that all right of way and easement acquisitions are complete (depending on the scope of the project - these can be very time consuming). We will also assume that approval from all regulating agencies, that can range from the - EPA, Corp of Engineers, City Engineer, NEORSD, County Sanitary Engineers to the controlling water entity of that area.

With those tasks being complete, the project will be put out to bid (@1mth), after approval from council the bid is awarded. Once the bid has been awarded and the contract has been executed a Notice to Proceed (@2wks) is given and the project can begin. Right? Nope - that is just the first step.

A preconstruction meeting is held, we will assume within 2 weeks of Notice to Proceed, and present are all the utility companies - Gas, water, electric, cable, & phone. After coordinating with these entities and verifying there is no conflict with these existing utilities. If there is, relocating of the utility or redesigning this area of project is in order. Depending on the impact of the conflict - this can take anywhere from a couple days for redesign or up to weeks for the relocation work to be scheduled and then longer to be completed. (We will assume no relocation or redesign work is needed).

Usually somewhere between the Notice to Proceed and the preconstruction meeting the contractor will start ordering the material for the project and having the structures made. In most cases while the manufacturers will have standard structures (manholes, catch basins, pipe, etc...) in stock, but usually need to make the structures from the shop drawings approved for the project. Best case scenario for this time frame would be a minimum of 2 -4 weeks.

Now comes the big problem -- the city has to appropriate the money for the contract to be awarded. So as you see - if the cities were given the stimulus cash today - these shovel ready projects are at best, under optimum conditions and no delays, are at least 3 -4 months away from starting. In my opinion, a more realistic and reasonable view of a projected start date for these "shovel-ready" projects would be about 6-8 months - AFTER the stimulus funds are received.

It appears Senator Voinovich understands the value of these infrastructure projects as a way to jump start the economy and just as important, he recognizes that because of the inherent lag time of this work - time is of the essence for a good stimulus bill being passed. Unfortunately, Senator Voinovich and almost all the other intelligent Senators, were not given a good bill and were out voted by the Democrat Senatwhores.

Brooklyn Mayor Ken Patton Abandons Ship

Well look at this - a Democrat abandoning ship when the going gets tough...
Mayor Ken Patton has taken an indefinite leave of absence, turning over control of the city to Council President Richard Balbier, the suburb's law director said today.

While declining to give specifics, Law Director Tom Shaper said Patton, 57, began his leave Friday.

"He's extremely stressed," Shaper said. Patton's surprise move came "after a discussion with some close confidants. The mayor told them he wanted to get his personal issues resolved."

Shaper added that Patton had become increasingly worried about the worsening financial problems in Brooklyn and was concerned how it would affect residents. (PD)

Patton could have just acted like Obama and read a book for elementary school children when he wants to hide from his responsibilities. But no, he plays the Democrat Iraqi card - cut & run!

Fisher exploring run for Voinovich's Senate seat

It is not often that Sen. Voinovich acts Republican, at times his conservatism can easily be questioned - but he is leaving us and the race for his replacement is heating up.

On the Republican side, George Bush reject, Rob Portman will most likely be carrying the losers torch on General election day. On the Democrat side - SOS Brunner has indicated she is interested in Vonovich's Senate seat and Lt. Governor Lee Fisher filed the paperwork for an exploratory committee for his possible run...
Fisher has set no timetable for deciding whether he will run for certain, said Lauren Goode, serving as spokeswoman. "But he expects to make his decision in the near future," she said.

Strickland a friend of both Fisher & Brunner has stated he will put his support behind Fisher should he decide to run.

City of Cleveland Proposes Time Limit on Idling Automobiles

It appears that nanny state nitwit disease is growing in Cleveland and it looks like some surrounding communities may have also been infected.

Just recently, Cleveland Councilman Zach “Give me another drink so I can drive home” Reed, citing the dangers, proposed a ban on text messaging while driving in Cleveland.

Since Cleveland has no other obvious pressing issues, in goose-steps Cleveland Councilman Matt Zone – he’s gonna one up Reed in the nanny state nitwitted-ness department by throwing in a “Green” twist and propose a ban on the time a car can idle...
Cleveland City Councilman Matt Zone says engine exhaust is choking the environment, threatening the flow of future federal dollars to the region and thwarting economic development efforts.

Instead of sitting idly by, he plans to soon propose a law banning idling vehicles in Cleveland. And he's not just talking about big belching trucks: "All fleets, all vehicles, Joe Citizen, everybody."

Zone says he knows it won't solve pollution problems, but it's a start. "It's not a silver bullet, it's a silver buckshot," he said. And with council members in nearly two dozen other local cities -- including Avon, Shaker Heights and Bedford -- ready to propose identical legislation, it could make a bigger bang.

The law permits idling for five minutes per hour, double in the extreme cold or heat, and has a number of exemptions for traffic jams, emergencies and other reasons. (PD Tipoff)

In an obvious state of denial, Zone sounds as if he has been getting “zoned” huffing exhaust fumes from the tail pipes of idling cars! Car exhaust is thwarting development here?!? Jesus H. Christ the city can't even change a light bulb - but car exhaust is holding this region back.

I think many would agree that there are several clowncil members in Cleveland, be it from their ass or mouth, who emit gasses that would rival the alleged damage of tailpipe exhaust to the ozone layer - I wonder if limits will be placed on their asinine emissions?

As for the City of Bedford officials thinking about doing something like this... well, I will wait and hear their side at our next council meeting.

Taliban Behead Polish Hostage

It has been a busy weekend of beheading and kidnapping for the Jihadikazes in Pakistan. Taliban fighters from the South Waziristan area of Pakistan have beheaded a Polish hostage.

The timing of this beheading and the release of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, the Father of the Pakistan nuclear bomb, may be a coincidence - I doubt it.

Kahn, is a known cohort of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, namely Baitullah Mehsud, a ruthless tribal warlord from South Waziristan. In my opinion, Mehsud is in some way tied into the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benizir Bhutto.

From Al-Jazeera

Taliban fighters in Pakistan have beheaded a Polish geologist captured in the northwest of the country four months ago, the movement has said.

A spokesman, identified only as Mohammed, told several news organisations that Piotr Stancza was killed after authorities failed to meet a deadline set for the release of some of the group's fighters.

"We have killed the man after authorities refused to release our colleagues," he told the Reuters news agency.

"We will now only hand over his body after our demands are met." More...
In other terrorist news, The Baluchistan Liberation United Front kidnapped, John Solecki, head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office last week when his car was ambushed in Quetta....

"We have three demands, and if our demands are not met, then John Solecki will lose his life," a spokesman, identifying himself as Shahak Baluch, told the agency.

"We want the United Nations to secure the release of 141 women in Pakistani torture cells, provide information about more than 6,000 missing persons, and resolve the issue of Baluch independence under the Geneva Convention." More...

Being the deft negotiators that they are, Solecki should just begin saying his prayers.

Improving the Safety of Downtown Cleveland Parking Lots

In the City of Cleveland, where the mayor is still trying to figure out what a mayor does, the security in downtown parking lots has long been an issue. During special events downtown these privately owned lots turn into an open-air like "Sam's Club" for criminals & thugs.

Usually I am against nanny-state tactics or municipalities enacting laws forcing business owners to comply with new laws that are usually created on a whim, a new fad or pressure from citizen groups. Though I do believe it is the responsibility of a city to make sure that the businesses in their community provide and maintain a safe & secure environment for their customers. Which again, is often not the case in our downtown private lots.

While Mayor Jackson is still trying to figure out that mayor thing - Safety Director Marty Flask is more concerned about forcing these parking lot owners to be more responsible...
Safety Director Martin Flask wrote a memo last year to Mayor Frank Jackson about possibly requiring lot owners to play a larger role in preventing the break-ins.

Flask had proposed requiring lot owners to keep employees on duty after the lots fill. The lot owners opposed the plan and said the added salaries would increase the costs of parking.

Flask, who has been involved in the meetings, said the city is committed to improving downtown safety for visitors and workers. He is optimistic that an agreement can be reached.

"I expect to see some big improvements," he said.

Flask should be applauded for his efforts and the private parking lot owners should be water boarded for claiming providing a safe environment would increase the already ridiculously high parking fees, that are most often randomly set based on the expected draw of the event.

One of Flask's proposed requirement's is keeping an attendant on duty even after the lot is full, which I believe would be the most effective and logical first step. Cameras and extra lighting has been suggested, but the parking lot owners have voiced some legitimate concerns over these measures.

Sometimes that blundering duo of Mayor Jackson and Cleveland Clowncilman Joe Simpleman just make it so easy for me! For the security cameras to work properly they need adequate lighting, and the lighting near some lots is not the responsibility of parking lot owners - it is the City of Cleveland's...
One hurdle is that the city uses eight styles of lights that require different parts for repairs. That adds to the delay in fixing them, but Cimperman is optimistic the city can satisfy the lot owners and get them fixed more quickly.

I think this is where we insert the - "How many City of Cleveland workers does it take to change a light bulb?" joke.

Rep. Marcia Fudge to be vice-chair on Scientific Research Subcommittee

Here's a real laugher!
Cleveland Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge has been named vice-chair of the House Science Committee's Subcommittee on Research and Science Education, which oversees all programs at the National Science Foundation and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

The subcommitee handles issues related to basic research, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, science policy and U.S. academic research, Fudge's office said.

"We have a very unique opportunity to elevate science once again," Fudge said in a press statement. "We have a White House and a Congress committed to affording scientists a platform to develop new innovation and technology for a more sustainable world. I am ready to work diligently for the residents of Ohio." (PD)

First, I am of the opinion Fudge is not even fit to be in the House. Second, I would have to ask what the hell kind of knowledge or expertise does Fudge have in this field. I would say most likely little - if any at all.

I believe Fudge, like many others, show their lack of knowledge in feeling that it is scientists who are the innovative minds behind new technology. Scientists may tell us the who, where, why and what about things - but it is engineers that make their ideas work. And many times long before scientists have it figured out...
Most people who aren't scientists or engineers seem to think that science and engineering are the same. They're not. Science seeks to understand the world as it is; only engineering can change it.

That's not what most high school teachers or even college professors tell their science students. But the truth is that full scientific understanding isn't always necessary for technological advancement. Take steam engines: They were pumping water out of mines long before a science of thermodynamics was developed to explain how they worked. The engines were what prompted researchers to look into the nature of steam power in the first place. More...

Please Stop!

I will just say I am sorry for this pic now. Careful though - if you are drinking something, the picture may cause your drink to comeout your nose.

With Barack crying to the media that he was tired, and his please pass my stimulus bill pleas earlier this week - the pic is appropriate...

Cleveland Mayor Jackson tells MedMart officials - "We will pick the site"

I'm just loving this MedMart fiasco. It is just so Cuyahoga County.

While we are waiting for engineering reports to see if the existing convention center can be reused, the emergence of Wolstein flats property as an alternative site has knocked Shammin' Sam Miller's Tower City site from the pre-selected #1 site down to #3.

Confident and smug behind a fancy Greater Cleveland Partnership generated Power Point presentation and the Fred Nance led Dog & Pony Show put on for Cuyahoga County residents, Miller & his Tower City twits, thought everything was a done deal. With loud-mouth Commissioner Hagan in the bag and none of the area Mayors who supported the project voicing opposition - how could MedMart officials not pick the Tower City site. Not surprisingly, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson was also silent - even though most of the potential sites were located in Cleveland.

Unfortunately for Miller, the MedMart officials, unlike most of the elected officials in this county, don't owe him the time of day and they chose the existing Convention Center over his Tower City site for the new MedMart/Convention Center. Miller and his smug little minions are just besides themselves that their location was passed over. In fact, Miller is caterwauling he wants public meetings because of alleged closed door meetings. How's that for the pot calling the kettle black!

I will be highly surprised if when the engineering study on reusing the foundation of the current center comes back that it will show this to be a financially sound risk. Just in case this is the case, MMPI officials are in preliminary negotiations with Wolstein for his east bank location in the flats.

Finally realizing something was happening in Cleveland - Mayor Jackson has woke up. Jackson being completely oblivious on the MedMart negotiations and a total non-factor at all, is now trying to insert himself in the mix...
"We don't know what Mr. Falanga of MMPI said to Mr. Wolstein about his site," Jackson said in a news release. "But no private developer -- whether it's MMPI, Forest City or Mr. Wolstein -- will determine which site is chosen.

"There are public dollars and the decision will be made by elected officials," Jackson said.

You tell 'em Frank! Only Miller is supposed to get public dollars for our silver butt bullet projects!

Father of Pakistan Nuclear Bomb set Free from House Arrest

This is not good!

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, aka "Father of the Pakistan Nuclear Bomb," has been freed from house arrest. Kahn, a former spy for Pakistan, was placed under house arrest by Pakistani officials in 2004 when he admitted selling nuclear technology to North Korea, Iran & Libya.

Over the years of creating his own black market "Wal-Mart for Nukes," besides helping out NK, Iran & Libya, he also helped Iraq & Syria with their quest for nuclear weapons. Our entrepreneurial muslim nuke nut has established ties & worked with Islamic militant groups in Kashmir, the Taliban, Osama Bin Laden & Al-Qaeda since at least 1996.

Kahn's detention and friendship with terrorist, Baitullah Mehsud, a ruthless tribal warlord from South Waziristan in northern Pakistan has been given as one of the reasons for the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Bull-SCHIP attack on Smokers!

One way or another, the smokers in this country are always under attack. All across America if there is a stadium to be built, a convention center to be had, or any other project for a community - since nobody likes smoker's anyway - the easiest way to get money is raise cigarette taxes.

With the help of 40 Republican Senators and bleating, "This is good. This is good," President Barack O-Free Pass, set on shrouding our country with his socialist shawl, took the first step towards paying for Govt. funded healthcare...
The bill calls for spending an additional $32.8 billion on the State Children's Health Insurance Program, known as SCHIP, which now enrolls an estimated 7 million children. Lawmakers generated that revenue by raising the federal tobacco tax.

Federal money for the program was set to expire March 31, barring action by Congress. To cover the increase in spending, the bill would boost the federal excise tax on a pack of cigarettes by 62 cents, to $1.01 a pack. (PD)

Much to the dismay of Ohio Governor, Rev. Ted, the SCHIP bill was vetoed twice by former President Bush. Bush supported increasing healthcare for children but at the time congress refused to curb their desire on including adults, middle income families and refused to close loop holes allowing coverage for illegal immigrants.

Bush wanted to cover MORE poor children than the original version. The democrats balked when Bush called their bluff and said he would support their program ONLY IF - "all poor children eligible for the program be found and enrolled before any in slightly higher-income families could be covered."
"....states must get at least 95 percent of children in families with incomes below 200 percent of the poverty level enrolled in the program before eligibility could be expanded. No state meets that benchmark."

So now, not only will smokers be forced to pay for stadiums, convetions centers, etc... we will also be the main funding source for Socialized Healthcare. But this is where I get a smokin' in the boys room, "hot-boxing" like head rush on their thinking.

It is estimated that the increased tax from the SCHIP bill will reduce youth smoking by about 7 percent and overall cigarette consumption by 4 percent. Combined with the jack-booted, goose-stepping bans many cities and states have placed on where or when you can smoke - one must question the wisdom of the Cigarette Nazi's.

It get's better - now the "snuff 'em out" Sparky's in D.C. and the butt-smoking Barack have inserted $75 Million into the bloated Stimulus bill for smoking cessation programs!

The head rush is kicking in now! We're going to spend $32 Million for socialized healthcare funded on cigarette taxes then spend $75 Million to help people stop smoking!

Priceless!

Steaming Load of the Week -- Messiah Barry insults our intelligence with his Marxist bullshit

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --

Steaming Load of the Week

Steaming Load #1: Messiah Barry insults our intelligence with his Marxist bullshit.

Longing for those glorious, stress-free, days when he could simply vote "present", America’s Marxist Messiah has his Commie Red panties in a wad over the criticism of what Monica Crowley calls his crap sandwich. Apparently, the Messiah’s grand scheme for the USSA didn’t envision blowback from ‘we the people’ giving the pachyderm punks on Capitol Hill an unscheduled dose of spine, when it comes to this giant, Porkulus Plan, turd.

Messiah Barry is not a happy camper and he doesn’t care who knows it. Unfamiliar with objective reality, he’s blissfully ignorant of certain fundamental facts of existence. When did ‘caterwauling pussy’ become a prerequisite for the Oval Office?

He sneered at the complaint that his crap sandwich is a ‘spending bill’. He can sneer all he wants, but it won’t change the fact that never, in all of recorded history, has a government spent its way out of an economic crisis. Is the crap sandwich a ‘spending bill’? You bet, and that, turd breath, is the problem.

He sneered at the idea that "tax cuts alone will solve all our problems". He can sneer all he wants, but, as JFK and Ronald Reagan demonstrated, leaving more of our hard earned money in the hands of those of us who earned it works. It injects money into the economy and, in the process, sends more money to those ravenous tax coffers.

He thunders about the pressing need to resolve "fundamental challenges like the high cost of healthcare" to justify his crap sandwich. He can thunder all he wants, but that doesn’t change the fact that America’s healthcare problems started down that highway to hell, when the Nanny State started tinkering with that element of the marketplace. The Nanny State created the healthcare problems in the first place, when it pooped out Medicrap. Since then, it has perpetrated a steady stream of political pratfalls, with one catastrophic healthcare ‘fix’ after another. One more fix and 'socialized medicine' should finally exterminate American healthcare.

He thunders about the pressing need to resolve our moribund economy, insisting that only government can make things right. He can thunder all he wants, but it won’t change the fact that our economic woes started, when the Demoncrats went Korrectnik bonks. In the 90s, they created this financial meltdown, with their insistence that lending institutions give mortgages to woefully unqualified (financially) but suitably qualified, politically (properly-hyphenated) home buyers. The ensuing deluge of bad loans was a looming disaster which was ignored by Elected Tormentors in the pocket of Fanny Mae, Freddy Mack and other lending institutions. It reached critical, economy nuking, mass, when the housing bubble burst. That made the house of bad loan cards come crashing down, taking our economy into the crapper with it.

We’re forced to ask the essential question: what the hell is this fool’s damage? He has significant majorities in both houses of Congress, so his Porkulus Bill crap sandwich is destined to pass, no matter how much the pachyderm punks resist it. Given that, why are his panties in a wad? Because, this disaster has his name on it and there’s no easy way to vote ‘present’.

Messiah Barry put himself in this political hot seat, despite his egregious lack of essential qualifications. He needs to grow a pair, STAT, or get the hell out of Dodge. You can’t vote present on this one, Prompter Punk. No matter how hard you try to avoid it, this disaster has your name on it. You wanted it. You got it. You own it. So, stop whining when what passes for a rational adult on Capitol Hill points out the suffocating stench wafting off the Steaming Stimulus Load that you and your Demoncrat homeboys pooped out.

If this Dumbo-eared Marxist asshat can’t stand the heat in the Red Shed’s kitchen, then he needs to man up and LEAVE! If that’s too much for him, then we the people need to flush this fool down the crapper, so he can return to that "present" obscurity for which he is eminently qualified.

We have Bugs Bunny - Terrorists have Assud the Martyr Bunny

Here in the U.S., the cultural cartoon icon - Bugs Bunny - fights Yosemite Sam, always has Daffy Duck thrilled spitless and poor Elmer Fudd is still trying to catch him. Bugs Bunny's antics have thrilled the minds of children, and some adults, for hours on end while you slipped off into cartoon land eating cookies & milk after school.

So while our children are entertained by Bug's & Friends, Palestinian children are entertained by a bunny of their own...

From WND --

The latest episode on the program "Pioneers of Tomorrow" , broadcast on Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV, was aired Jan.2, 2009, MEMRI said.

The program features Assud, the bunny character, lying in a hospital bed, with Saraa, who serves as the program hostess, sitting by his side.

"The Zionist enemy is treacherous, and it kills everything, but I never thought it would kill the children of Palestine, and that it would bomb the Al-Aqsa TV station," Assud says. "As you know, Saraa, Al-Aqsa TV has a special section for children. Children always go there to play and have fun. They come to me and you to listen to beautiful stories for their benefit.

"But Saraa, I went to Al-Aqsa TV when they said it would be bombed. I couldn't believe it would really be bombed. I went there, and I collected the gifts, books, magazines, and stories, which belong to the children of Palestine, the Pioneers of Tomorrow, so I could remove them before the station was bombed. But Saraa, when I went in – I don't know what happened. All I know is that they brought me here, to Shifa' Hospital, and left me here, Saraa. Praise be to Allah." [...]

Assud continued: "Saraa, my will is that you tell our beloved children never to forget Jerusalem, Saraa. You must pass this legacy on to our beloved children. They must never forget Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa, the prisoners, or the refugees.

"Remind them, Saraa, that we have a land to which we must return, by means of the steadfastness of the resistance and the mujahideen, by means of the steadfastness of knowledge and the fear of God. Tell them that Assud died as a hero, as a martyr. Tell them that Assud died a martyr's death, Saraa."[...]

He then "dies," and Saraa responds, "Assud… Assud… No, Assud… Don't die, Assud." More...

Poor Assud - huh? Not to worry... Saraa encourages the children to revenge his death by freeing their land from the Zionists. If the children were out throwing stones at the IDF and missed Assud- no problem - the Palestinian mommy, setting a good example for the children by preparing for marytrdom herself, can plop them down in front of the tube and they can always watch the puppet show where former President Bush gets killed with a sword.

And of course we cannot forget about the child stars. Yes, not to be outdone by Hannah Montana, Palestinian children have a child star of their own.

O' Connor to run for Chief Justice of Ohio Supreme Court

With Chief Justice Moyer being forced into retirement because of age requirements, and the other Republican Ohio Supreme Court Justices - Evelyn Lundberg Stratton & Paul E. Pfeifer - declaring they will not be entering the 2010 race - Ohio Supreme Court Justice Maureen O' Connor has declared that she will be seeking the highest judicial position in Ohio.

Stratton has declined to enter the race to spend more time with her family and Pfeifer refuses to run against another Republican for this position. During her succesful '08 reelection bid, O'Connor was described in her PD endorsement as pleasant surprise on the court...
She has been an outspoken advocate for more transparency and has often brought an important voice of reason and moderation to a court whose members are all Republicans. She has earned re-election.

This should be great news right? Well, it is - but there is the usual but(t).... like a washed up, punch drunk, retired, has-been boxer wanting to make a comeback for his last shot of glory - Jim Petro, the political retread of Cuyahoga County, has thrown his hat in the ring for chief justice. I swear the guy is like gum or Rover's sidewalk remains stuck on the bottom of your shoe.

Yes, just when he should be throwing in the long over due towel for his political career, the loser in the GOP primary for Governor with Blackwell, Petro will place personal achievements agaisnt what is best for all voters in Ohio....
Petro said serving as chief justice is "one of those jobs I would love to have."

Petro said he has received encouragement to run from GOP activists worried that if O'Connor or another Republican member of the court wins the chief justice post, then Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland will name a replacement for that justice.

"Republican activists have been concerned about losing a seat on the court and that's what distinguishes me from all the other candidates," Petro said, referring to other justices who might run for chief justice. "If successful, I don't cause us to lose a seat."

There is that word I hate and Petro hangs his hat on - IF! Well, Mr. Retread - IF my mother had a "set" she could have been my father! But coming from the putrid pool of personal gain over party interest, Cuyahoga County Republicans - I would expect nothing less of Petro.

When O'Connor is successful in her bid to become chief justice - there would be a vacancy which Rev. Strickland would surely appoint a Democrat to fill the void. This appointment would not change anything and they would have to defend the seat in 2012, which as O'Connor points out - Petro can run at the time.

Are you now out of work?

If you woke up this morning thinking you had a job, you would be wrong. That's right, this last month every single American, including 200 million who don't yet exist, lost their job. That now puts 500 million Americans out of work.

Let the lampooning begin.

CIA Director: Top Ten Terror Threats

Soon to be replaced with Leon Panetta, current CIA Director Michael Hayden outlines the biggest threats we face in 2009...

  1. Al Qaeda: "It is the organization that has the capacity to most threaten the physical safety of America and Americans. So it remains job No. 1. And we have talked about some successes and so on, but it is resilient, and therefore we have to continue to keep an eye on Al Qaeda," he said.

  2. Violence in Mexico: "Our good friend and neighbor Mexico had this horrible surge in violence that may cause -- in fact has caused -- us to talk with our Mexican friends, in more meaningful and deeper ways, to discover ways that we can cooperate against what we now view to be, and has always been, a common problem. ...

"What you've got is President Calderon, very heroically, taking on drug cartels that I think everyone agrees threaten certainly the well-being of the Mexican people and the Mexican state, and taking them on in a very, very progressive way. Now, it is not quite the same thing as Colombia, where you had a politically motivated movement, the FARC, merging with narcotics organizations. Here it is largely in the business of crime but the effects could be just as dangerous, certainly to the well-being of the Mexican people."

  3. Iran's nuclear program: "I included Iran, in terms of as they move forward in their own decision-making process, as they continue to churn out LEU, low enriched uranium, they do it at great cost, diplomatically and economically with regard to sanctions. They seem to be doing it with a purpose. As that quantity of that stockpile grows, you would think that at some point in that process, they are going to have to make a decision as to what it is they are going to do with it. So that is something we have to keep a close eye on as well."

  4. Europe and the War on Terror: Hayden said he believes that real substantive issues separate the U.S. and Europe in executing the War on Terror. He said "growing daylight" separates the allies and it's not a question of "personalities."

  5. Instability caused by the low price of oil: "The price of oil is another thing that is not quite a crisis, but it is destabilizing," he said. "As oil goes under about $40 a barrel, it probably doesn't have a big impact in Russia, which has a large (economy) and frankly invested pretty wisely. I'm not sure that it doesn't have more of an impact in Iran and in Venezuela. When (global) oil is about $40 a barrel, their heavy crude is about $30 a barrel. And that really creates stresses inside the (Hugo) Chavez regime. So again, these are not threats, but they will create torque, and may then suggest some instability."

  6. Pakistan: "I don't want to get into the business of commenting on the internal politics of a good friend. But Pakistan is in a very difficult circumstance right now," Hayden said. "You do have the after-effects of Mumbai. You do have what is happening in the tribal region. You do have the instability along the Afghan-Pakistan border. You do have very serious economic problems with the Pakistani state. And you do have a new government, attempting to establish its legs and to build a democratic Pakistan for the future. That is a real devils brew of issues. And President Zardari and Prime Minister Galani have their hands full trying to deal with that. You mentioned nuclear weapons, and clearly, should they ever fall into the wrong hands, it would greatly concern us."

  7. Afghanistan: "The closer you get to that Afghanistan-Pakistan border area -- the factors of geography, of history, of culture -- all become more and more important, larger factors, in any kind of calculus. If you ask me if there is a disappointment in my time here, it is that we have not killed or captured #1 or #2 (of Al Qaeda). But there have been measurable successes in the war on terrorism."

  8. North Korea: "North Korea is always a wild card. It's almost a gimme that sooner or later, they are going to try to stir the pot, and try to destabilize things."

  9. China: China is the emerging superpower, and as such is in more influential economically. China has always been seen through the prism of expanding markets, Hayden said, and it remains to be seen how this communist nation will weather an economic downturn and what conditions global recession will create internally.

  10. The Middle East: As instability continues in the Middle East over a Palestinian-Israeli peace most recently complicated by an Israeli offensive in Gaza against terror group Hamas, Hayden said the region will continue to be a flash point that can't be ignored.

SC Governor tells Congress - "Take Your Stimulus Funds and Shove 'em"

Here is something we do not see all that often - a politician standing on principle! Not just talking a good game - but actually taking a stand in the face of opposition. South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, a REPUBLICAN, has stated he will refuse the stimulus money.

In Gov. Sanford's State of the State speech he outlines measures that have been taken and can be taken to turn South Carolina around without accepting the stimulus funds.

If other Republican Governor's would stand up and join together with their fellow Republicans in DC maybe the stimulus package would not include every Democrat social program for the last 8 yrs.

But being the lone Governor in opposition, the Obamacrats in Congress, not standing for letting anything or anyone get in the way of President Pimp Daddy's hefty handout acted quickly by enlisting his enforcer in SC, Democrat and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn for some help....

From ALG

Perhaps one of the most straightforward ways to inflate the size and authority of the federal government is to diminish that of the states—the 10th Amendment notwithstanding.

As the $819 billion (Government) “stimulus” package marinates in Congress, a side campaign has been launched against the very states’ rights that were intended to keep an aggressive Federal Government at bay—and keep the Republic afloat. Now one particular individual is bearing the brunt of that assault.

Ever since the madness geared up last fall, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford R) has maintained a stalwart, no-nonsense opposition to the culture of bailouts and “stimulus” packages—particularly federal bailouts for states, especially the Governor’s own South Carolina. As he wrote in a Wall Street Journal piece last November:

“I find myself in a lonely position. While many states and local governments are lining up for a bailout from Congress, I went to Washington recently to oppose such bailouts. I may be the only governor to do so.”

This hostility towards state bailouts is starting to infuriate certain members of Congress—particularly those who see Big Government and inebriated federal money dispersal as the end all and be all to every societal woe imaginable. For many of them, states’ rights—such as Governor Sanford’s right to reject a state bailout—are mere nuisance.

One congressman is dealing with this nuisance by throwing down the Big Government gauntlet of One-Party authoritarian bullying.

Trampling on the bedrock principle of constitutional federalism, House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) is using the powers of the Federal Government in Washington to circumvent Mr. Sanford’s authority as Governor—all in an effort to force federal stimulus funds on South Carolina. According to South Carolina’s “The State” newspaper:

“Just before the House passed President Obama’s $819 billion economic-stimulus bill Wednesday evening, Clyburn inserted an amendment empowering state legislative leaders to accept the special federal aid if the governor fails to act within 45 days of the measure’s enactment…

“Clyburn made it clear his provision was aimed squarely at Sanford.”

Mr. Clyburn’s actions constitute the proverbial “double-whammy”: Not only is one Representative—out of 435, of course—using the powers of Congress to revoke a state’s right to be fiscally accountable, but he is also exploiting those same powers to carry out a personal vendetta against an obvious political rival.

Opening the door to let the federal government step into any state and start dictating policies is a dangerous precedent. Unfortunately, a lot of dangerous precedents have been set in recent weeks.

The degree to which the current Democrat-controlled government in Washington has gone to further their Big Government agenda is appalling at best and unconstitutional at worst. Going far beyond the “enumerated powers” granted by Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, the politicians in the capitol have begun to drift into the dark and desolate waters of Big Government authoritarianism.

Hopefully Governor Sanford and others of his ilk can anchor the nation in the unshakeable rock of constitutional limited government. But right now, the Ship of State is foundering badly, with many a loose cannon on a badly rolling deck.

Could you just imagine if every Republican Governor refused to accept any stimulus funds based on the way pork-fest was structured?

The guy just doesn't get it!

Obama just continues making it hard to support him. Again he proves that he just doesn't get it....
President Barack Obama said Sunday that the peaceful elections in Iraq are "good news" for U.S. troops and their families, and he agreed with the suggestion that a substantial number of those troops could be home within a year.

"I think that you have a sense now that the Iraqis just had a very significant election with no significant violence that we are in a position to start putting more responsibility on the Iraqis and that's good news not only for the troops on the ground but for the families who are carrying an enormous burden," Obama said in an interview with NBC's Matt Lauer before the Super Bowl. Lauer asked Obama if he could assure the troops "that a substantial number of them will be home" a year from now.

Obama said: "Yes."

Good news? Yes, but not time to come home.

I guess he already forgot what, as Obama puts it, the Generals on the ground told him. Obama was told do NOT remove too many troops and that our presence will be needed longer than his promised 16 months.

The reason the election went fairly smooth was because of our presence there. The election is a sign that "The Surge" worked. Now Obama needs to just sit there and smile, gives us an, "uhm," an "ahh," and a "hmm" every now and then and let his Generals on the ground continue their good work by letting our soldiers complete their mission.

BREAKING: Judd Gregg to Become Commerce Secretary

Quickly becoming a great source for info is Net Right Nation.

From Net Right Nation --
From a trusted source that is deeply entrenched in political operations in N.H. I have learned that Senator Judd Gregg has been offered the Commerce Secretary position AND HAS ACCEPTED. I have also learned that N.H. Governor John Lynch will be appointing a MODERATE REPUBLICAN to fill the vacated seat.

Gregg cut a deal with Governor Lynch that a Republican would fill the vacated seat for the remainder of the term if he was to accept the offer from Obama.

Gregg's record as a Republican can be questioned anyway. So on one hand, even being replaced by a moderate Republican is problably better. The scary thing is most likely Gregg's nomination will easily be confirmed.

More Missteps from Cuyahoga County Sheriff McFaul

Boy - the residents of Cuyahoga County are so lucky we have the public corruption watchdog Plain Dealer looking out for us....

The PD --
Sheriff Gerald McFaul Sr. made his son a special deputy in 1998 so the younger McFaul could get part-time security work while wearing a Cuyahoga County sheriff's uniform.

Gerald McFaul Jr. completed a police academy and state certification test at Cuyahoga Community College in December 1997 but did not immediately land a police job.

"He was looking for a job," McFaul Sr. said Friday.

McFaul Sr. said his son had the state certification to be a police officer but needed permission to carry a weapon, so he deputized him.

"I am not going to deliberately violate any laws," McFaul Sr. said. "I am a straight shooter. I am told it's not illegal. It's a matter of judgment."

The first thing I will say - it is 2009! How many elections has McFaul had since 1997? The waste of a dead tree that the PD really is, is only now reporting on this. I guess when they wrote about McFaul's son - Kevin The Crackhead - in 2007, they conveniently forgot about his namesake.

It also appears had the Feds not raided Cuyahoga County - the enablers at the PD would not be playing "cover your ass" reporting in uncovering McFaul's hiring of friends and relatives and allowing a culture of favoritism dating back who knows how long.

Addressing McFaul's deputizing of Jr., the article notes that with Jr. using his being deputized as a way of carrying a weapon, he later became a part-time Ranger for the Metroparks. Being commissioned as a law enforcement officer in overlapping jurisdictions has been frowned upon by the Ohio Attorney Generals office as it may cause of conflict of interest.

Furthermore, not one Sheriff interviewed for the article said they would have deputized their own son and that it is common knowledge that officers cannot carry dual commissions within the same county.

Finally, did the Democrat McFaul break the law and will he be charged with a crime? Only if Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason, a Democrat, requests an opinion from Attorney General Dick Cordray - a Democrat!

With Mason's obvious lack of respect for the law, especially when dealing with other Democrats, want to bet what happens with this one?

Taliban tell Obama - "Bring It On"

For all my ranting about Obama's breaking of campaign promises and as shown by his Cabinet selections - his continued poor judgement of a persons character - he is still our President.

This being said, Obama will have no choice but to deal with the overall problems facing the Middle East and he is walking into a minefield. As our President, Obama has failed on his first foray into the Middle East - that would be his reaching out to Iran and getting bitch slapped.

Seeing that he failed his first test in our War on Terror, the Taliban leaders in Afghanistan have recently responded to Obama's increase of US troops in Afghanistan by telling him - "bring it on - we are waiting..."
In remarks broadcast on Al Jazeera on Saturday, Mullah Mohamad Rasul, a Taliban leader, said that fighters of the group were ready to take on the US troops.

"Just as they are bringing more troops, so too the Taliban will have more troops," Rasul, a former governor of Nimruz province, told Al Jazeera.

"During the Bush administration the suicide bombers were registering individually, but now they are coming in groups. The whole nation is ready for the fight," he said, referring to the administration of George Bush, Obama's predecessor.

"Every year our military power gets stronger and stronger and our forces are getting bigger and bigger and we are heading towards success," Rasul said.

I applaud Obama's continued use of unmanned Predator attacks taking out terrorist leaders in Afghanistan I also applaud Obama for his willingness and ability to recognize the problems we face in Afghanistan. But I question his ability to fully understand the big picture in our War on Terror.

I am very concerned that due to the obvious fact that there will be civilian casualties -Obama will be able to dismiss them as collateral damage and will eventually allow this to formulate his policies of engagement.

As we witnessed in Vietnam and the Iraq War - our enemies know civilian & U.S. casualties are the easiest way to turn the American public against our President. We Republicans, must stand vigilant with President Obama and not allow the peaceniks in our country to dictate the outcome in Afghanistan.

By forgiving his first mistake in Iran as a learning experience and barring policies of appeasement, President Obama must know that unlike the liberal "loyal opposition" President Bush was subject too, we will stand with him and support him in our War on Terror.
