Steaming Load Award: Comrade Hillary blames USA for Mexico’s raging drug gang violence.Mexico is, by any objective standard, a very dangerous place to visit. It was never a veritable Eden, but recent events have it looking like a the kind of place only the Taliban could love. It’s hell on Earth and getting worse with each passing day, as Mexico devolves into utter chaos.
What happened down there? The facts speak for themselves. Due to this economic meltdown, the market for the drugs the Mexican gangs are pouring into America is decreasing. The weed and other drugs aren’t selling the way they did a year or two ago. As a result of this shrinking market, profits are down. Since that won’t be tolerated, the gangs are doing what needs to be done: eliminate their competition to grab a bigger piece of this dwindling American drug pie. Dog eat dog, sums it up nicely.
Eager to exploit this disaster, for his own political ends, Messiah Barry has his minions shoving it closer to the front burner. One of their first forays involves sending Comrade Hillary to Mexico to confer with what passes for a government south of the border. Determined to get off on the right foot, Comrade Hillary set the 'approved by Messiah Barry' tone, by putting ALL the blame for the Mexican drug wars on AMERICANS.
* American drug users caused the problems by importing their drugs from Mexico, instead of using home grown banned substances.
* American gun manufacturers and sales outlets in the Southwest exacerbated the problem by making and selling guns to Mexican nationals who take them ‘home’ with them.
That’s right, PIGsters, in Messiah Barry’s region of the Twilight Zone, America OPPRESSED peace-loving, hard working, Mexican fuzzballs into acting out their rage. Somehow, the only patriotic way for Americans to atone is to scuttle the Second Amendment, and start smoking more weed, the primary cash crop transported by the drug gangs.
As much as I’d like to help Messiah Barry with this one, I don’t see how turning in Old Betsy and Big Bang, then smoking more weed to help me get over that painful goodbye, is going to solve this problem. Maybe, I’d change my attitude if Comrade Hillary could explain how shutting off the flow of American firearms into Mexico will stop Mexican asshats from BEHEADING their enemies.
This sideshow is a load of neo-Marxist bull crap. It’s just an excuse to flush the Second Amendment down the crapper. Over my dead body, Dumbo-eared Sparky. I have a better idea.
First, we flush Messiah Barry, Comrade Hillary and all the other Marxist bastards down the crapper.

Will Obama's Aunt get special treatment in Deportation Hearing?

Critics, outraged that she is living in taxpayer-funded public housing while thousands of citizens and legal immigrants are on waiting lists, are scrutinizing the case for political favoritism. Others caution that she may have legitimate grounds to stay in the United States.
"The case is unusual in American history because it's a relative of the president involved in immigration matters," said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies. "It really does present the White House with an opportunity or a minefield. If they follow through on a decision that she should go home, that would actually raise the president's credibility enormously on immigration enforcement."
Obama has said that he has not had any involvement in the case and that it should run its ordinary course, White House spokesman Ben LaBolt said.
Onyango's fate will play out behind closed doors before Judge Leonard Shapiro in Boston. Onyango's lawyer, Margaret Wong of Ohio, successfully argued to reopen her case in December and have the proceedings closed to the public, according to the Executive Office for Immigration Review, which oversees immigration courts.
It should be noted that between 2002 to 2007, Judge Shapiro has turned down 68% of asylum requests. Anybody want to bet this case falls into the 32% that were granted asylum?
The Hypocrisy of Liberals & Charitable Donations

Many modern liberals like to openly discuss their altruism. Garrison Keillor explains that “I am liberal and liberalism is the politics of kindness.” But it rarely seems to turn into acts of kindness, especially when it comes to making charitable donations.
Consider the case of Andrew Cuomo, current New York Attorney General and advocate for the homeless. He has, according to his website, “compassion toward the most vulnerable of us.” [...]
But that advocacy should not be confused with actually giving to the less fortunate. Cuomo was a homeless advocate throughout the 1990s, but according to his own tax returns he made no charitable contributions between 1996 and 1999. In 2000 he donated a whopping $2,750. In 2004 and 2005, Cuomo had more than $1.5 million in adjusted gross income but gave a paltry $2,000 to charity.
Cuomo made no charitable contributions in 2003, when his income was a bit less than $300,000.
[...] Barack Obama has a rather poor track record when it comes to charitable contributions. He consistently gave 1 percent of his income to charity. In his most charitable year, 2005, he earned $1.7 million (two and a half times what George W. Bush earned) but gave about the same dollar amount as the President.
The last two Democratic Party nominees for President have come up short on the charity scale. Al Gore has been famously stingy when it comes to actually giving his own money to charities. In 1998 he was embarrassed when his tax returns revealed that he gave just $353 to charity.
Gore’s office initially defended the action, claiming that the Gores had often given “food and clothing to the homeless.” But when no one showed up in cast-off clothes, Gore’s spokesman Chris Lehane offered a typical “friend of Goodness” response saying that you could only “truly judge a person’s commitment to helping others” you needed to see “what they have done with their lives.” In other words, politics was charity work.
Senator John Kerry likewise has a poor record. In 1995 he gave zero to charity, but did spend $500,000 to buy a half stake in a seventeenth century painting. In 1993, he gave $175 to the needy. Later, of course, Kerry married the rich widow Theresa Heinz, and today is active in charitable causes using the Heinz foundation as his vehicle.
Senator Ted Kennedy has clearly relished his role over the years as a liberal Robin Hood. He once told Al Hunt of the Wall Street Journal, “I come from an advantaged life, and I’ll be goddamned if I’m going to get re-elected to the U.S. Senate by taking food out of the mouths of needy children.” But this should not be confused with Senator Kennedy actually giving much money to needy children.
Kennedy’s tax returns are obviously a closely guarded secret. But when he chose to run for President in the 1970s, he released some of them. With a net worth of more than $8 million in the early 1970s and an income of $461,444 from a series of family trusts, Senator Robin Hood gave barely 1 percent of his income to charity. The sum is about as much as Kennedy claimed as a write-off on his fifty-foot sailing sloop Curragh.
Robert Reich, once Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Labor and now a professor at Berkeley, has been outspoken about how greedy conservatives are. Conservatives believe in “reviving social Darwinism” and because of conservatives, “America has placed too high a value on selfishness.”
But when he ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2002, he was all but forced to release his tax returns. It’s not a pretty picture. Reich’s 1040 reveals an income of more than $1 million, much of it giving speeches to corporations and universities for up to $40,000 a pop. He contributed just $2,714 to charity, or .2 percent of his income — note the decimal — and not all of that was cash. Part of it was the value of a donation of a used drum set to an organization called City of Peace.
Jesse Jackson has often claimed that he operates from a “liberal spirit of compassion and love” while conservatives are “heartless and uncaring toward the silent poor.” But according to his publicly-released tax returns, he regularly donates less than 1 percent to charity.
Jackson and his family have also established a charitable foundation called the Jackson Foundation to support the underprivileged. According to tax records, the foundation board is controlled by family members and they receive large contributions from corporations. In 2004, for example, they collected $964,000 from corporations like McDonald’s, Anheuser-Busch, and GMAC.
When asked on the tax form to described “direct charitable activities,” the foundation responded: “none.” From the close to million dollars collected, they gave away only $46,000 to a couple of colleges. The Jackson Foundation spent nearly twice that amount — $84,172 — on a “gala celebration” in honor of — you guessed it — Jesse Jackson.
NOR IS THIS liberal tightfistedness anything new. The greatest liberal icon of the 20th Century is Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He is regarded by many on the left as the personification of charity and compassion, but FDR actually has a slim record when it comes to giving to charity.
Roosevelt had an average income of $93,000 ($1.3 million in today’s dollars) but gave away about 3 percent of his income to charity. In 1935, during the height of the Great Depression, when people really could have used it, he donated just 2 percent.
This evidence of liberal hypocrisy is damning enough, but what really amazes is how poorly these liberals do in comparison to so-called “heartless conservatives.” President Ronald Reagan, for instance, was often called heartless and callous by liberals. Unlike Roosevelt or JFK, Reagan was not a wealthy man when he became president. He had no family trust or investment portfolio to fall back on.
And yet, according to his tax returns, Reagan donated more than four times more to charity — both in terms of actual money and on a percentage basis — than Senator Ted Kennedy. And he gave more to charities with less income than FDR did. In 1985, for example, he gave away 6 percent of his income.
George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have continued this Reagan record. During the early 1990s, George W. Bush regularly gave away more than 10 percent of his income. In 2005, Vice President Dick Cheney gave away 77 percent of his income to charity. He was actually criticized by some liberal bloggers for this, who claimed he was getting too much of a tax deduction.
The main point of liberal compassion appears to be making liberals feel good about their superior virtue. Such are the rewards of being a “friend of goodness.”
McFaul is McFinished!
Much of McFauls behavior was emboldened by the fact that he never really faced a legitimate challenger and his antics were never highlighted by the Plain Dealer - the paper perfect for lining bird cages. While the Rag Dealer is trying to thump their chests over McFaul's resignation, I am pretty sure that they consistently handed him their endorsement in each election. So I figure they were sleeping all these years, completely incompetent, purposely turned a blind eye or a combination of the three....
Cuyahoga County Sheriff Gerald McFaul resigned Wednesday afternoon following three months of Plain Dealer stories that spawned a criminal investigation and detailed a wide range of misconduct in his office.
The resignation came about 30 minutes after the newspaper asked his office about the latest set of allegations: that he accepted birthday and Christmas cards stuffed with cash from employees. The 32-year sheriff cited failing health as the reason for his resignation, which will take effect April 1.
Since January, The Plain Dealer has published 17 stories about how McFaul operates his office. The stories documented his hiring and promoting practices, illegal fund raising and favoritism for friends and political allies. More...
Amazing, 17 stories in the last several months covering abuses dating back 32 years - now that is some effective reporting!?!?
I believe the one thing that accelerated McFailure's resignation was Republican Party of Cuyahoga County Chairman Rob Frost publicly challenging Rev. Strickland, our Governor, to remove McFaul from office. Once Frost delivered this kick in McFaul's bullets it quickly led to increased pressure on McFaul to McScoot.
But the cranky old thieving codger, or pipe fitter turned sheriff', describes his career best...
"I'm fast-witted but sometimes half-witted," he said recently.
McFaul wore a suit instead of a uniform. He was never armed. "I once carried a gun, and it kept pulling my pants down," he recounted.
Half-witted, nit-witted and pants at the ankles... sounds like he's describing the PD and many other elected officials in this area!

Maureen Dowd calls Obama Spineless!
The tableau of Michelle Obama hoisting a pitchfork on Friday with her sinewy arms and warning that the commander in chief would be commandeered into yard work left me wondering if the wrong Obama is in the Oval.
It’s a time in America’s history where we need less smooth jazz and more martial brass.
Barack Obama prides himself on consensus, soothing warring sides into agreement. But the fury directed at the robber barons by the robbed blind in America has been getting hotter, not cooler. And that’s because the president and his Treasury secretary have been coddling the Wall Street elite, fretting that if they curtail executives’ pay and perks too much, if they make the negotiations with those who siphoned our 401(k)’s too tough, the spoiled Sherman McCoys will run away, the rescue plan will fail and the markets will wither. (Now that Mr. Obama has made $8,605,429 on his books — including $500,000 for letting his memoir be condensed into a kids’ book — maybe he’s lost touch with his hole-in-the-shoe, hole-in-the-Datsun, have-not roots.)
The shafters of the universe have been treated with such kid gloves that they remain obnoxiously oblivious. Vikram “Pandit the Bandit” at Citigroup, which received $50 billion in bailout money, is pulling a Thain, spending $10 million to renovate his Park Avenue offices, complete with a Sub-Zero refrigerator and premium millwork (whatever that is).
Fannie Mae, the mortgage finance behemoth that had $59 billion in losses last year when the government was forced to take it over, and since has asked for $15 billion in taxpayer money, brazenly intends to give $1 million apiece in retention bonuses to four top executives, even though the word retention in a depression is pure Ionesco. Freddie Mac, which has sought $45 billion in aid, has yet to disclose its planned bonuses.
Asked by Jay Leno why our loans to Wall Street haven’t trickled down to Main Street, President Obama conceded that the banks “haven’t started lending it yet.”
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who grew up as a Republican and was head of the New York Fed for five years, sees things from the point of view of that wellspring of masters of the universe, Goldman Sachs. (His Treasury chief of staff was a Goldman lobbyist, who fought then-Senator Obama’s attempt to curb executive compensation — just as Geithner has done within the administration.)
At the New York Fed, Geithner helped preside over the A.I.G. bailout in September. But in October, it was Andrew Cuomo, the New York attorney general, who had to threaten to sue unless A.I.G. canceled $160 million in planned expenses for conferences and a $600 million bonus pool.
Virtually unnoticed amid the bonus imbroglio was A.I.G.’s grudging disclosure that it had funneled $93 billion — more than half its federal money to date — to its high-flying insurees, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and a group of European banks.
Goldman Sachs separately got $10 billion in bailout money last year, but recently asserted snootily that it’s doing well enough and doesn’t want our money because of the restrictions attached. Yet as Goldman sneers at the federal money at the front door, it’s taking delivery of billions in no-strings federal money through the back door. Can we taxpayers deduct the difference?
Our gift to Goldman demonstrates why the government’s headless and heedless bailout of A.I.G. is so wrong.
And why are we bailing out foreign banks, including a couple of French ones and UBS, a Swiss bank currently tussling with the I.R.S. because it refuses to hand over the names of thousands of U.S. tax-dodgers?
The issue is how much we must pay to preserve financial stability over all, not how much one company promised to pay. At this point, A.I.G. seems to be the only party paying face value on toxic derivatives.
Ed Liddy was put in charge of an essentially bankrupt company, but he never drove a hard bargain on bonuses or counterparty debts. He honored contracts made by an organization that had become a fraudulent scheme. He could have told the leeches inside the company and out that the world had utterly changed, so the contracts would too — as Michelle would say, “whether they like it or not.”

Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party Making a Splash
The Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party is part of the nationwide Tax Day Tea Parties. The American Family Association has joined the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party event, naming theirs “Taxed Enough Already.”
As explained to Mr. Wanger, the Tea Party protests are against wasteful spending at the federal level and taxes being placed upon, or that will be placed upon citizens – BECAUSE of the absolutely ridiculous spending we have recently seen. The Tea Party event is NOT being held because of local taxes, but because of outlandish, uncontrollable and wasteful spending at the federal & state levels that will ultimately be paid for with our taxes, be it federal, state or local.
I am confident many of our local Mayors could find a laundry list of a lot better things to do in their communities with the millions, billions & trillions being spent on protecting field mice, studying grape genetics or bailing out irresponsible businesses.
Furthermore, the people working together on the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party Protest are not part of or affiliated with any group. We are a group of citizens wishing to exercise our right to free speech as part of a nationwide movement. It was stressed numerous times that this event is a non-partisan event and, even though I am in the RPCC, and while they are aware of and support the event, they are not involved in the planning and/or staging of the event.
Some of the lefty bloggers have correctly pointed out that I am a member of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County. But they somehow missed that I am not above, be it locally, statewide or national, challenging our party leaders, poor candidates or feeble thoughts. A quick review of this blog will verify that.
You can pretty much say - I am not at the top of their Christmas card list and they would not shed a tear - if I was no longer involved. In fact, I'd best most would encourage it!
The location of Mall C was chosen first and foremost because of the available space. Originally planned for Public Square, due to the expected crowd we changed the location to minimize any negative impact it would cause on rush hour & pedestrian traffic. And yes, as pointed out in the article – Mall C will most likely be the location of the proposed MedMart, which will be funded by a sales tax forced on consumers in Cuyahoga County. But, it was repeatedly stressed numerous times throughout the conversation with Mr. Wanger, that this non-partisan event is being staged by private citizens – again, as a platform against WASTEFUL SPENDING.
Lastly, but surely not the least important, it was stressed that we were in the process of dealing with the City of Cleveland regarding the usage permit. That at this point in time we have requested that Mayor Jackson waive the $500 fee as a way of showing support for this event against wasteful spending. We are expecting to hear back from the City of Cleveland today on if they will allow us to pay the $100 fee or if they will forcefully impose a $500 fee on private citizens wanting to use public property.
I also requested that Mr. Wanger please note that the City of Cleveland (Special Events Dept.) has been highly professional, very friendly and more than accommodating in helping us private citizens wade through this process.
In closing, while we are again thankful for Mr. Wanger’s article, we would be remiss in not making the above clarifications and allowing this event to be portrayed as an event against Cleveland.

Studies Show Global Warming No Longer Exists

Two more studies – one by the Leibniz Institute of Marine Science and the Max Planck Institute of Meteorology in Germany and another by the University of Wisconsin – predict a slowing, or even a reversal of warming, for at least the next 10 to 20 years.
The Arctic sea ice has grown more on a percentage basis this winter than it has since 1979. The number of polar bears has risen 25 percent in the past decade. There are 15,000 of them in the Arctic now, where 10 years ago there were 12,000.
"The most recent global warming that began in 1977 is over, and the Earth has entered a new phase of global cooling," says Don Easterbrook, professor of geology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, confidently. He maintains a switch in Pacific Ocean currents "assures about three decades of global cooling. New solar data showing unusual absence of sun spots and changes in the sun’s magnetic field suggest ... the present episode of global cooling may be more severe than the cooling of 1945 to 1977."
Climatologist Joe D’Aleo of the International Climate and Environmental Change Assessment Project, says new data "show that in five of the last seven decades since World War II, including this one, global temperatures have cooled while carbon dioxide has continued to rise."
"The data suggest cooling not warming in Earth's future," he says.
Though not widely publicized, it has been established that the excessive hot air being belched by Dodd, Barack OBlowhard, Geithner and the other lying windbags in D.C. is contributing to the rising temperatures of the American public!

North Korea holding 2 U.S. Journalists Hostage
Seeing that Iran is having so much fun bitch-slapping Obama, North Korea has re-started their quest of becoming a nuclear super-power and is preparing for another missile launch. Now, North Korea is upping the stakes in the new international game of, "let's see what the 'Teleprompter Twit' is made of" and has taken two U.S. journalists hostage...

North Korea has confirmed reports via state-run media that it took two U.S. journalists into custody as Washington engages at the highest levels to resolve the situation diplomatically.
North Korea's official news agency issued a report Saturday saying the journalists were arrested on March 17 while "illegally intruding into the territory" of the country at its border with China.
Sources in contact with the two reporters prior to the incident say they are Chinese-American Laura Ling and Korean-American Euna Lee. They work for San Francisco-based Current TV, a network founded in part by former Vice President Al Gore. Both were apparently gathering video footage for a report on human rights abuses of North Korean refugees who cross into China.
As much as I would like to say - "Screw the Al 'The Energy Whore Gore reporters!" they are American. Nobody should be allowed to take and American hostage without paying a severe price - even if they are biased, liberal MSM hacks.
AG Holder: "Gitmo Terrorist welcome to stay in U.S."
Many Americans are torn over whether Gitmo was legal, or even served a purpose in our overall War on Terror and many felt the money we have spent on the Iraq War should have been spent here on more socialized entitlement programs - while some feel the money and ultimate sacrifice of our soldiers was a down payment on ridding the world of muslim extremists.
I believe the one thing that can be agreed on is the enemy combatants being held at Gitmo are NOT American. If they weren't "Death to the US terrorists" when they were detained - they sure as hell do not like Americans or the USA now. That being said, one would have to question the wisdom of anyone thinking that the enemy combatants still in detention can be freed and integrated into our society - unless, of course, you are Attorney General "I'm a Dick" Holder.
Yes, you got it "I don't want to be blown up by a TNT vest wearing jihadikaze while I buy my lotto numbers" Sparky's, Handi-wipe Holder feels there is nothing wrong by allowing some of the jihadikazes at being held at Gitmo of becoming your new backyard BBQ neighbor...
Some of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners could be released into the United States while others could be put on trial in the American court system, Attorney General Eric Holder said on Wednesday.
Holder told reporters at the Justice Department that the administration’s review, made on a case-by-case basis, would determine whether the prisoners need to be put on trial or whether they can be released.
“For those who are in that second category, who can be released, there are a variety of options that we have. Among them is the possibility that we could release them into this country,” he said.
While I'm sure this just thrills the terrorist coddling beast, Rosie O'Donnell, and may reunite Obama with some of his relatives, I am floored that Obama & his idiots do not see the danger in this! I mean can't someone put it on his teleprompter that muslim terrorists don't like Americans?
Not only is it bad enough that Holder wants to free some of these goat-screwing Jihadikazes into the American public so they can refill the ranks of sleeper cells - but they are going to extend the privilege of some being tried in our court system.
You can bet these enemy combatants will be praying for a judge like Cuyahoga County Judge Eileen A. Gallagher!

To protest the stimulus, Dalton is helping organize and promote a Tax Day Tea Party from 4 to 6 p.m. April 15 at the Cleveland Public Square. The nationwide tea party day is sponsored by conservative grass-roots organizations in 150 cities and 49 states. The event will coincide with the federal income-tax filing deadline, according to www.taxdayteaparty.com
While Dalton said she wishes the stimulus plan could be recalled, she said she is calling on lawmakers to be responsible with every tax dime.
“The stimulus has already happened, so at this point, we believe the solution is not to tax any further,” Dalton said. “We are asking liberal and conservative lawmakers to go over the budget with a fine-toothed comb. We are saying ‘OK, you guys in office, you are being watched.’“We are telling the (lawmakers), ‘If you don’t have this figured out, we are voting you out in two years,’” she said.

I have been working closely with Debby & Glynn in organizing the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party and the response we are getting back is exciting and energizing. The Tea Party concept is growing very quickly and time is nearing. It is estimated that there will over 170 major cities across the US having a Tea Party. Growing from this, it is estimated that there will be 1000 Tea Party's in some smaller locations.
Hats off to a recent Tea Party hosted in Cincy, where over 2000 attended, but I believe the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party can exceed that crowd. A recent Tea Party in Cleveland had a good crowd - this time we want to fill it like a Browns game (when they were good).

No word is more overused in public discourse today than ‘courage.’ A loyal viewer hailed CBS for its courage in producing Swingtown, the now defunct series detailing the sexual infidelities of married couples in the 70s (bedhopping on network TV — what a daring concept). Sean Penn was dubbed courageous for his nauseating Oscar acceptance speech, as are most liberal entertainers who spew left-wing tripe before adoring audiences.
But if going verbally against the (real or perceived) grain of public opinion defines courage, then should we not salute those black Americans who are not celebrating the presidency of Barack Obama? Black Americans who didn’t vote for Obama are statistically insignificant, though we harbor that sliver of hope that Michael Steele will be the one to attract the masses of black voters that Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice never did. Nonetheless, they can inspire us — with American rationality numbed by Obama-mania, soon we may all be black conservatives.Just before the election, popandpolitics.com profiled Joe Hicks, a conservative radio host in Los Angeles. Hicks also heads a nonpartisan think tank that focuses on issues of race in society. He numbers among the fewer than 1 in 10 black voters who supported the McCain/Palin ticket. He is one of those described as “the marginalized of the marginalized.” A proud liberal for much of his life, when he came out as a conservative, he heard the familiar calls of ‘Uncle Tom,’ ‘Traitor’ and ‘Sellout’ from his colleagues.
Certainly some black conservatives were torn between their ideology and their racial identity, wanting to be part of history in electing Barack Obama. Former GOP Congressman J.C. Watts expressed his indecision and we all know how Colin Powell opted — but then was he ever a conservative in the first place?
Dena, who I met through a conservative website, was never undecided. She is a black single mother who, like Hicks, lives in Los Angeles. She proudly supported McCain/Palin (which, in LA, is brave in itself). Also like Hicks, she was a liberal for much of her life. She desperately wants more for herself and her son. She would love to be married someday, though in the meantime she relies on her own grit and determination and the support of friends and her church to help her through tough times. She reveres Dr. King’s memory and one of her greatest recollections is of having once seen Rosa Parks. Not only does President Obama not factor into her unwavering optimism, she can’t stand the guy, mainly for his stances on abortion and increasing dependency on the federal government, referring to him merely by his first and third initials.
If Joe Hicks and Dena — and Alan Keyes and Larry Elder and Star Parker and Thomas Sowell — don’t amount to profiles in courage, they certainly earn points for marching to their own beat. Conservatism has never been chic, but now with Obama it is all but marginalized and black conservatives are often more reviled than their white counterparts. They are perceived as betraying the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and, thus, their own people. Few were offended that Clarence Thomas was portrayed as a lawn jockey in editorial cartoons. Even moderate Republican Condoleeza Rice was graphically depicted in Civil War-era stereotype for her loyalty to President Bush and barely an eyebrow was raised. Certainly knowing that our nation’s major parties are both headed by black men should make Americans proudly aware of our progress, but that fact has yet to resonate. It’s still Barack Obama’s moment. Say what you will about them, black conservatives have little to gain personally by standing on conviction. In the words of Joe Hicks, “If I wanted to be on the winning side, I’d be sitting here telling you how great Obama is.”
Maybe because black conservatives are so few in number they stand out more. Perhaps I am gushing in the manner of a white liberal, but I can attest that black conservatives are among the most dedicated, hardworking activists I know of. They are among the most optimistic, too — they don’t complain about being called ‘Uncle Tom’ nearly as much as we complain for them.
If Barack Obama truly represents as post-racial America, then his presidency does offer us some reason to applaud. Nonetheless, the colorblind society he supposedly embodies before adoring crowds, I have already seen — thanks to black conservatives (and other unheralded black Americans in everyday life). They quietly forge ahead as, again, the marginalized of the marginalized. But they are too focused to ask for any fanfare. Dena once noted that a sad legacy of the Civil Rights Movement was the notion that black Americans must march in lockstep ideologically, but she has little idea of the range and importance of her lonely voice in the arena of
public discourse. Joe Hicks is equally unmoved: “I’m conservative. I’m Republican. Beyond that, I find the whole racial component a bit odd.”

FFDOA is working with legislators who are looking into the allegations that have been made with respect to inappropriate use of the FFDO budget, and unfair Administrative Actions taken against FFDO's. In the case cited in the editorial, FFDOA is aggressively defending the FFDO.
Please, contact your Senators and Representatives RIGHT NOW! Ask for the staff person that handles aviation security matters and respectfully ask them why the Administration is not supporting our nation's most effective and cost efficient defenses against 9/11-style hijackings. Remind them that:
- FFDOs are a low cost, highly effective deterrent and defense against the potential use of our nation's airliners as weapons of mass destruction. The administration should be looking for ways to expand this highly effective but low cost program.
- Airline pilots were armed for many decades prior to 1987 and in the 1960's, pilots were required to carry guns when flying US Mail. It was the disarming of airline pilots in 1987 that made the 9/11/01 attacks on our country possible.
- Airline pilots who fly 35,000 safe flights per day and every FFDO had to first be an airline pilot. Airline pilots are among the most carefully selected and continuously evaluated group of professionals in our country.
- FFDOs protected over 1 million flights last year.

Obama's new attack on 2nd Amendment threatens safety of Airplane Pilots & Passengers

After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings.I believe after 9/11 it is a no brainer that pilots should be armed. In fact I'd give 'em guns, tasers, cattle prods and any other weapon they so choose. Though it concerns firearms, this is not strictly a 2nd Amendment issue - this is about the safety of your loved ones. This is about a flying bomb with a payload of our defenseless fellow Americans be delivered as a kill vehicle on other defenseless Americans.
Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.
The Obama administration this past week diverted some $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots.
This looks like completely unnecessary harassment of the pilots. The 12,000 Federal Flight Deck Officers, the pilots who have been approved to carry guns, are reported to have the best behavior of any federal law enforcement agency. There are no cases where any of them has improperly brandished or used a gun. There are just a few cases where officers have improperly used their IDs.
Fewer than one percent of the officers have any administrative actions brought against them and, we are told, virtually all of those cases "are trumped up."
Take a case against one flight officer who had visited the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles within the last few weeks. While there, the pilot noticed that federal law enforcement officers can, with the approval of a superior, obtain a license plate that cannot be traced, a key safety feature for law enforcement personnel. So the pilot asked if, as a member of the federal program, he was eligible. The DMV staffer checked and said "no." The next day administrative actions were brought against the pilot for "misrepresenting himself." These are the kinds of cases that President Obama wants to investigate.
Since Mr. Obama's election, pilots have told us that the approval process for letting pilots carry guns on planes slowed significantly. Last week the problem went from bad to worse. Federal Flight Deck Officers - the pilots who have been approved to carry guns - indicate that the approval process has stalled out.
Pilots cannot openly speak about the changing policies for fear of retaliation from the Transportation Security Administration. Pilots who act in any way that causes a "loss of confidence" in the armed pilot program risk criminal prosecution as well as their removal from the program. Despite these threats, pilots in the Federal Flight Deck Officers program have raised real concerns in multiple interviews.
Arming pilots after Sept. 11 was nothing new. Until the early 1960s, American commercial passenger pilots on any flight carrying U.S. mail were required to carry handguns. Indeed, U.S. pilots were still allowed to carry guns until as recently as 1987. There are no records that any of these pilots (either military or commercial) ever causing any significant problems.
Screening of airplane passengers is hardly perfect. While armed marshals are helpful, the program covers less than 3 percent of the flights out of Washington D.C.'s three airports and even fewer across the country. Sky marshals are costly and quit more often than other law-enforcement officers.
Armed pilots are a cost-effective backup layer of security. Terrorists can only enter the cockpit through one narrow entrance, and armed pilots have some time to prepare themselves as hijackers penetrate the strengthened cockpit doors. With pilots, we have people who are willing to take on the burden of protecting the planes for free. About 70 percent of the pilots at major American carriers have military backgrounds.
Frankly, as a matter of pure politics, we cannot understand what the administration is thinking. Nearly 40 House Democrats are in districts were the NRA is more popular than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. We can't find any independent poll in which the public is demanding that pilots disarm. Why does this move make sense?
Only anti-gun extremists and terrorist recruits are worried about armed pilots. So why is the Obama administration catering to this tiny lobby at the expense of public safety?

He denied it, with more righteous indignation, then kicked it up a notch by insisting he wasn’t present when it was inserted into the bill during the House-Senate negotiations to reconcile the two versions of the porkulus crap sandwich. That almost worked, almost being the operative word.
When that excuse fell apart like a cheap suit, this contemptible, caterwauling, coward, belatedly, came clean, almost. ‘Yes, that amendment in the Porkulus Bill that made bailout recipient bonuses street legal, was, in fact, my doing. BUT, it wasn’t my idea. Certain Messiah Barry officials made me do it.’ The Obamunist ‘Devil’ made me do it? Yeah, right.

Pelosi says deporting Illegal Immigrants is Un-American
Again we have another politician showing they are not only out of touch with reality, but out of touch with the general American public.
The violence along our border with Mexico is at an all time high and the U.S. National Guard Bureau said the link between terrorism and drug cartels along the United States' border with Mexico is increasingly clear, most Americans want our borders secured and illegal immigrants deported...
Republicans are more strongly in favor of surprise raids to catch and deport illegal immigrants. Seventy-five percent (75%) of GOP voters support such raids, along with 61% of Democrats and 65% of unaffiliated voters.Keeping this threat against our country to a minimum means taking a pro-active approach on apprehending illegal immigrants through increasing border patrols, work place raids & general traffic stops.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently told a group of both legal and illegal immigrants and their families that enforcement of existing immigration laws, as currently practiced, is "un-American."
The speaker, condemning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, referred to the immigrants she was addressing as "very, very patriotic."

He specifically outlined the problems with this current Congress and their destructive economic policies. He focused on five things that he believes are going to be the nails in the coffin of American supremacy in the global marketplace.
“To do any one of these things at any time is a bad idea. To attempt to do one of them during a recession is even worse. But to attempt to do all five during a recession is crazy, and yet that’s what your federal government is getting ready to do,” Jordan said, before outlining the following issues:
- Increase Taxes (“The Obama budget has the largest tax increase in history.”)
- Spending (“They’re going to continue to spend at unprecedented rates. The budget the administration has submitted to Congress will double the national debt in 8 years. We’re going to run the ten largest deficits over the next ten years.”)
- Further Unionize the Workforce (They’re going to attack the secret ballot with card check legislation.)
- Government-run Health Care (They want to implement a plan “where the government decides which type of health care you’re going to get and when you’re going to get it.”)
- Cap-and-Trade (“This is, in my view, the worst. Putting limits on the amount of energy we can have in our economy. Putting restrictions in a unilateral. Think about this: we’re competing in a world market. Our competitors in the international marketplace, China and India, they’re not going to have the restrictions placed on what kinds of energy they can use. That is going to be a tax increase on every single small business owner and every single family.”)
Jordan then went on to say:
We know what works. … We know that keeping taxes low works, we know that controlling spending, not mortgaging our kids and grandkids’ future works. We know that allowing workers the decision of whether they’re going to form a union or not is the right thing to do, not taking away one of their fundamental rights to a secret ballot. And we know that decisions made between you and your doctor and your family is the best way to do health care. And finally, we understand that using the natural resources we have in this country to meet our own energy needs is the right way to go, not limiting what we can put in the environment and what we can use in energy.Jordan spoke about his colleague in Congress Mike Pence and conservatism in general, advising that–like the Indiana congressman–we need to send the message to our neighbors and our government with a smile on our face.
A follow-up rally in Columbus is tentatively planned for 6:00 p.m. on April 15, 2009.

Westlake & North Olmsted's bid to leave Cleveland Water Dept.
It is not often when we find an opportunity to praise some of our local politicians. Most are either party hacks or spineless and it is often a combination of both.
Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough and North Olmsted Mayor Thomas O'Grady are one step closer from freeing their residents from Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's tyrannical control over single largest unregulated utility negatively affecting 1.5 million people in four counties -Cleveland Water Department.

Discontent with Cleveland water service has North Olmsted and Westlake thinking of buying their water from a Lorain County source.
North Olmsted Mayor Thomas O'Grady said the cities are ready to start on the second phase of a study to set up a water district. North Olmsted has requested $36 million in federal stimulus money to build the system.
Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough said the system could be financed without stimulus money, mainly because buying water from Avon Lake would be much cheaper than from Cleveland.
O'Grady said North Olmsted residents are frustrated by the Cleveland department. "We're not getting the service our taxpayers deserve," he said. He listed among complaints: slow emergency response, fights over bills and rate increases. More...
Mayor Clough has been the one Mayor not afraid to speak out about the failings of Cleveland Water Dept. It is nice to see O'Grady at least appear to be in support of removing the North Olmsted residents from being continually victimized by the incompetence and monopoly of CWD.
Other municipalities serviced by Cleveland Water Dept. would love to be from under their control, but due to logistics and existing infrastructure are unable too.
It should be noted that Bay Village Mayor Debbie Sutherland, who was defeated in her bid for County Commissioner, also had a chance to be part of this study. Sutherland, never the one to be a free thinker, chose not to be involved in this study. In fact, she stated she would just wait and see what happened in the above study. While Sutherland deserves credit for working hard on her campaign, she apparently lacks leadership qualities.
So until more area leaders like Clough & O'Grady start doing what is right for the residents by challenging the Gestapo-like control of Cleveland Water Dept. - any hope of true regionalism is just empty talk by empty headed politicians and the hacks at the Plain Dealer.
Ohio Senawhore Sherrod Brown supported AIG Bonuses
It is incredulous that the posturing politicians on the left, who have all stated they read the stimulus bill and castigated Republicans coming out against the Stimulus as not reading the bill, are now crying foul over their own Premier Obamao pushed bill...
While the Senate was constructing the $787 billion stimulus last month, Dodd added an executive-compensation restriction to the bill. The provision, now called “the Dodd Amendment” by the Obama Administration provides an “exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009” -- which exempts the very AIG bonuses Dodd and others are now seeking to tax. Across the board residents of Ohio, and the United States are livid over the bonuses being paid out by AIG. Unable to keep the bonuses a secret, the Democrats are now coming out in force against the bonus provisions that they not only supported but pushed for. “AIG’s actions are a slap-in-the-face to hardworking Ohio families,” said Brown. “Bonuses at companies like AIG—companies relying on taxpayer funds to stay afloat—are an outrage. I hope AIG executives voluntarily
return these bonuses. If they don’t, I will push to have them recouped through the U.S. tax code.”...

Newt Gingrich to Co-Sponsor Tea Parties
While the Tax Day Tea Parties have been taking the nation by storm, Newt Gingrich has decided to step up to the plate. The Tax Day Tea Parties hosted by the DontGo Movement, TCOT, and Smart Girl Politics will occur around the country on April 15. Study Finds Ohio Fed-Up with High Taxes and Wasteful State Spending

A new survey by the free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity finds that 60 percent of Ohio residents disapprove of the state legislature’s handling of budget and tax issues. In addition, 55 percent believe the state’s taxes are too high. When asked to identify the most important issue in state budgeting, 47 percent identified wasteful spending on programs that do not work.
“The governor’s so-called ‘No Tax’ budget actually includes an enormous number of new or increased fees. Ohioans aren’t stupid, they know that a hefty fee on everything from nursing home beds—more than doubled—to livestock renewal fees—increased 500 percent—is the same as a tax,” said Jack Boyle, state director of the Ohio chapter of Americans for Prosperity. “62 percent of our survey’s respondents said that they do not trust state officials to spend any new revenues wisely; this includes massive new fees proposed by Governor Strickland.”
The survey also finds that lower-income Ohioans oppose higher taxes, even if they are not forced to pay them. 55.6 percent of respondents earning under $30,000 rejected the idea of raising taxes on others.
Respondents also rejected the idea of taxes that are paid for by working poor and lower income groups, with a decisive 89 percent opposing the taxes.
The survey was conducted by Voter/Consumer Research, and is based on the responses of 601 registered voters across the state, conducted by telephone Jan. 22-27 of this year. The margin of error is +/- 4 percent.

National Parks start first round of attacks on Hunting & Fishing
The National Parks Service is advancing the latest attack on hunters & fishermen.

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced its intention to ban traditional ammunition containing lead in all its parks. The move would needlessly push hunters to use more costly bullets made of tungsten, copper, and steel. The restrictions, set to take affect by the end of 2010, were announced without regard to science and without soliciting feedback from sportsmens' groups.
"The NPS announcement demonstrates either complete ignorance or complete arrogance as to the effect that this policy will have on hunters," said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. "There is no science to support NPS's contention that the use of lead ammunition in hunting is causing environmental contamination, having a negative effect on wildlife, or posing a threat to the health of visitors or park staff. This policy, and the lack of communication in advance with the sportsmen's community, is a deliberate attempt to reduce the number of people who will want to hunt in the 60 parks that are open to hunting. This plays directly into the hands of radical anti-hunting organizations like the Humane Society of the U.S. which is advocating that hunters be banned from using lead ammunition.
"NRA-ILA will continue to be a voice of opposition against this unnecessary action and is committed to protecting the rights of hunters to use the ammo that is best suited for their hunting needs and budget.

This non-scientific proposal will do more harm than good.
Most often, sinkers, lures and ammunition that do not contain lead are called "non-toxic." Which if I were a liberal, I would be screaming this term is offensive to lead sinkers, lures and ammo. The no lead proposal for fishing, will only be a minimal increase in costs to fisherman. For example "non-toxic" sinkers are only a few pennies more. But in this economy, it can be the difference between a person feeding themselves and not eating.
Where the damage to wildlife comes in is with the "non-toxic" requirement for ammunition. The ban on lead (toxic) shot has long been a costly requirement for duck hunting. As an avid duck hunter, barring the last 4 yrs, I can speak from experience on this subject. The concern over the lead shot is that one, it contaminates the water and two, the ducks eat it. The problem with steel shot is it is not as dense as lead and therefore does not carry the energy for an effective kill - which leads to injured animals.
I have seen many ducks & geese shot at with steel shot, get 'winged' and fly off. Many of these injured waterfowl fly off and die a slow death later. The non-toxic shot, combined with hunting license, state & federal waterfowl stamp fees, can be cost prohibitive for many duck hunters, so they must use steel. For those having a hard time understanding the difference between lead shot and steel shot... I can shoot you with steel shot at 60 yards away and it probably wouldn't wven break your skin. On the other hand, if this were done with lead shot - you would probably have the same problem Cheney's hunting partner did.
So taking this 'non-toxic' requirement and placing over Big Game hunting is completely ludicrous. and nothing short of the start of banning hunting. Yes, after a rise of injured, White Tail Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, etc... the next step will be to scream it is inhumane and this will grease up the slippery slope towards a ban on hunting in National Parks. The next step would be a ban in hunting in all public wildlife areas and then private land. And this would be a back door attack on on 2nd Amendment rights. If hunting is banned, then there is no need for 'hunting guns.'
You think the Obama administration would never ban hunting? Don't kid yourself, there are many people out there that feel hunting should be banned completely. Currently, anti-hunting organizations have been contacting members of the NJ Assembly over a pro-hunting bill claiming that hunters comprise a small minority of the population and do not deserve to enjoy the outdoors 7 days a week.
Now how's that for some liberal hypocrisy - because hunters are a minority - they have no rights!

AIG still handing out Millions in Bonuses

American International Group is paying out millions of dollars in executive bonuses to meet a Sunday deadline. But the troubled insurance giant has agreed to administration demands to restrain future payments.Afraid of legal disputes over contract obligations, AIG feels they must do the right thing and honor paying $ million in bonuses from previous contracts. Plus they want to keep & be able to hire top quality employees...
The Treasury Department determined that the government did not have the legal authority to block the current payments by the company that has already received more than $170 billion in U.S. support.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has asked that the company scale back future bonus payments where legally possible, an administration official said Saturday.
Liddy said in his letter that "quite frankly, AIG's hands are tied" although he said that in light of the company's current situation he found it "distasteful and difficult" to recommend going forward with the payments.
In his letter, Liddy told Geithner, "We believe there will be considerably greater flexibility to reduce contractual payments in respect of 2009 and AIG intends to use its best efforts to do so.""We cannot attract and retain the best and brightest talent to lead and staff the
AIG businesses, which are now being operated principally on behalf of the American taxpayers—if employees believe their compensation is subject to continued and arbitrary adjustment by the U.S. Treasury," Liddy said.

Cuyahoga County Judge Eileen A. Gallagher - The Defendant's Judge!

This time Judge Eileen -The defendants queen - handed down a sentence that flies in the face of logic, is dismissive of the victims and completely diminishes the seriousness of the offense...
Joanne Schneider, who ran what prosecutors called one of the largest securities frauds in state history, was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to a series of criminal charges.
Schneider and her husband stole about $60 million from investors. The three-year sentence was the minimum for the securities and fraud charges she pleaded guilty to in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Several people who stole less money in similar, unrelated scams got longer prison sentences.
Judge Eileen A. Gallagher -- who earlier sentenced Schneider's husband, Alan, to probation instead of jail for his participation in the operation -- chose to make the sentences for the 13 crimes concurrent. (Plain Duller)

Now, as reported by CNN, and amplified by Monica Crowley and Tammy Bruce, this gutless gasbag wants to make veterans PAY for service related injuries.Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.
No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly, but veterans groups wrote a pre-emptive letter last week to President Obama voicing their opposition to the idea after hearing the plan was under consideration.
The groups also cited an increase in "third-party collections" estimated in the 2010 budget proposal -- something they said could be achieved only if the Veterans Administration started billing for service-related injuries.
Asked about the proposal, Shinseki said it was under "consideration." "A final decision hasn't been made yet," he said.
Currently, veterans' private insurance is charged only when they receive health care from the VA for medical issues that are not related to service injuries, like getting the flu.
Charging for service-related injuries would violate "a sacred trust," Veterans of Foreign Wars spokesman Joe Davis said. Davis said the move would risk private health care for veterans and their families by potentially maxing out benefits paying for costly war injury treatments.

Officials from the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division notified Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Tuesday that they had begun the investigation, which will focus on whether deputies are engaging in "patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures."
An expert said it is the department's first civil-rights probe related to immigration enforcement.
In a two-page letter dated Tuesday, Loretta King, acting assistant attorney general, said that if the investigation uncovers violations, her office will work with Arpaio to find remedies.
Is Sheriff Joe quaking in his boots? Hardly:
"I am not going to be intimidated by the politics and by the Justice Department," Arpaio said. "I want the people of Arizona to know this: I will continue to enforce all the immigration laws."

Stem Cell Research & Barack Obama

A reader wrote in recently to explain why people needn't worry when President Barack Obama glibly dismisses the destruction of ordinary Americans' finances, insults a key ally's visiting prime minister, makes clumsy overtures to Russia that get leaked and laughed off, grows federal power exponentially -- that sort of thing.
"Has anyone considered," the reader asks, "that President Barack Obama is very good both at multitasking and at seeing things as a system and interconnected? I think that's why he is doing so many things at the same time. Most of us do not have these skills and are lost by his process and speed."
I'll be darned. And all this time, I thought he was trying to keep us from guessing which shell the pea was under.
But when it comes to contemplating the ethics of stem cell research, even the Master Multitasker appears to have hit the limit of weighty issues he can juggle.Sorry, no time. Busy-busy.
No one was surprised when, within hours of taking office, he swept away an executive order that prohibited American tax money funding abortions in foreign lands. That was just the reinstatement of a Clinton-era rule -- disappointing, morally wrong, but both expected and familiar.
Last week, though, Obama got quite a bit more adventurous, announcing plans to scrap a Department of Health and Human Services rule that allows health care workers to refuse, for moral or religious reasons, to participate in abortions.
That was a new rule, promulgated by the Bush administration on its way out the door.When the pro-life Bush was in office, medical practitioners possessed of a functioning conscience didn't need the protection. But now that they need it, they can't have it. On some matters, the new administration is in no mood to allow conscientious objectors. We're all in this together, even when "this" is what a lot of us consider murder.
People who work in and support Catholic hospitals hope this item is on Obama's to-talk-about list rather than his to-do list, and maybe they'll luck out. But judging by his past extremist rhetoric and his voting record on abortion-related issues, this may just be one of those rare instances when he actually means exactly what he says.
Then there's this week's decision to open the federal floodgates for stem cell research that involves the destruction of human embryos. There's no opt-out for this one, either, fellow taxpayers. You're in.
The president doesn't want you to worry about any thorny moral, religious or ethical questions, either. He says this is all about science, and that scientists will make all of the decisions about how best to proceed.
So, does Obama speak for you on that? Does it make sense to detach the "can we" questions of science from the "should we" questions of morality and ethics, especially when human lives are at stake? Are we really done with that discussion, just because it happens to bore Barack Obama?
There is every expectation that the National Institutes of Health will decide, as it did in 1994, the last time it was asked, that it should have the authority and the federal funding to create human embryos expressly for purposes of research.
Bill Clinton -- hardly a rabid pro-lifer -- said no to that, after an overwhelmingly negative public response. Obama hopes to short-circuit that public response so he can answer, "Whatever."His strategy is to pretend that this is a purely scientific issue, devoid of moral and political content, when in fact, it's freighted with both.
Politically, his order will please that considerable element of his constituency for whom abortion rights are always the first priority and anything that diminishes the public's regard for unborn children is a plus.
But it's risky politics, too. A healthy portion of Catholics and evangelical Christians who voted for Obama and other Democrats are experiencing buyer's remorse. If they wish to support Obama on every other matter, so be it. But on matters of innocent human life and death, they cannot in good conscience support him.
He's proving that one thing he said during his campaign was true: This kind of decision is above his pay grade. More to the point, it's beyond his moral capacity.
On this one, the governed should loudly withhold their consent.

The head of the U.S. National Guard Bureau said the link between terrorism and drug cartels along the United States' border with Mexico is increasingly clear.
Gen. Craig McKinley, chief of the National Guard Bureau, called the National Guard
critical in helping protect the United States in the event of a terrorist attack and the growing threat of violent drug cartels operating along the Southwestern border with Mexico, the bureau reported.
McKinley, who addressed the National Guard's 2009 Domestic Operations Workshop, said the drug cartels in Latin America are clearly connected to organized criminal groups who support and funnel money to terrorist organizations.
"The Southwest border is one of the most critical areas in the nation right now," McKinley said, according to the bureau.

More than one out of every five dollars of the $126 million Massachusetts is receiving in earmarks from a $410 billion federal spending package is going to help preserve the legacy of the Kennedys.
The bill includes $5.8 million for the planning and design of a building to house a new Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate. The funding may also help support an endowment for the institute.
The bill also includes $22 million to expand facilities at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum and $5 million more for a new gateway to the Boston Harbor Islands on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, a park system in downtown Boston named after Kennedy's mother and built on land opened up by the Big Dig highway project. Pete Rose can't get into the Baseball Hall of Fame because of gambling and then lying about it - but Senator Ted the Drunk Kennedy killed a woman, left her to die and lied about it will have an institute built for him with taxpayer dollars. More Wasteful Pork Spending in Ohio
The group, Taxpayers for Common Sense, is in the process of going through this bill itemizing pork projects and has so far found 8,570 disclosed earmarks worth $7.7 billion. This would be the same omnibus bill that political propagandist Maureen Dowd slammed Obamao on and praised - guess who - John McCain!
Other than House minority leader, John Boehner from West Chester, who has decried this wasteful spending --
"The president campaigned against this type of wasteful spending and frankly, he ought to veto the bill," Boehner said at a Wednesday press luncheon. "If he's really serious about getting rid of wasteful Washington spending, this would be a great example."
...the politicians in OH have their greedy little mitts out. If this money was being spent on running government and putting people back to work I would have no problem with it. But, just like the Ohio Senate proposal for the first round of spending from stimulus funds that Ohio received, this money will be creating little or no jobs for Ohioans and will expend minimal dollars on the billions in infrastructure repairs needed in our state.

An estimated 300,000 construction jobs paid for by the stimulus plan will go to illegal workers after leading Democrats removed a provision requiring verification of citizenship, a leading immigration expert tells Newsmax.
The House version of the $787 billion stimulus bill required verification of the legal residency of anyone put to work by its spending. But that provision was removed from the bill before members of Congress met to reconcile the House and Senate versions of the bill.
Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), tells Newsmax the verification provision was deleted by Democratic leaders even before the bill reached the conference committee, where differences between House and Senate legislation are normally ironed out. To be fair, there are many pros and cons on the E-Verify check system that was removed. Some say it is no better than the old system of screening workers. California's top election official says supporters can start collecting signatures for a proposed ballot measure to strike the word "marriage" from all state laws.
Supporters of this ballot measure want to replace it with the term "domestic partnership," while keeping all the rights of marriage in place.
The proposal is in response to a voter-approved gay marriage ban that passed in November. The new measure would repeal the ban, and define domestic partnerships as unions between all couples, regardless of sexual orientation.
Secretary of State Debra Bowen said Tuesday that supporters must gather nearly 700,000 signatures by early August to get the initiative on the ballot.
The measure is the grassroots effort of two heterosexual college students.
First, I suspect the two so-called heterosexual students are really closet-queers.
For those that are unaware -- CA has determined the words, Mom, Dad & Family are discriminatory and requires public schools to distribute controversial material to teachers, students, and parents which promotes transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality.
In some High Schools cheerleading and sports teams would have to be gender-neutral, prom kings and queens would be banned, or would have to be gender neutral and gender-neutral bathrooms could be required for those confused about their gender identity. Also, high school in San Juan suspended over 75 students for protesting the school's Gay Day.
So why should this concern us here in the Cuyahoga County area? Well, with Cleveland Clowncilman Joe Cimperman imposing a Domestic Registry and humping for the Gay Olympics with a Gay Rodeo be hosted in Cleveland - banning the words marriage are not too far away.

Is it fair to criticize President "Party all the Time" Obama for throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their 'friends' and supporters? Surely these gatherings are used to discuss politics and policies - right?

Like a spineless little wuss, Edwards ran into a public mens room & hid when the paparazzi caught him leaving the hotel room of his mistress, Rielle Hunter, and her toddler, Frances Quinn Hunter - who is undoubtedly Edwards child.

To date, Hunter has refused to make an issue of Edwards being the father and has pretty much stayed out of the spotlight - but with Edwards privately admitting the child is his and his wife Elizabeth ready to release a book about her dealing with the affair - Hunter may be speaking out very soon...
The ex-senator sprang into action when he saw how upset Rielle had become over Elizabeth's forthcoming book, Resilience: Reflections on the Burdens and Gifts of Facing Life's Adversities, which will be published in May.

Ohio Senate Screwing Up Stimulus Funds Already
Abandoned industrial sites will be cleaned up, parks and trails will be developed and high-tech industries will be supported with $360 million in state stimulus dollars under a plan passed unanimously Wednesday by the Ohio Senate.
The plan, which depends on $360 million held back from the $1.57 billion jobs stimulus bill passed by the previous General Assembly, was sponsored by State Sen. Jim Hughes, a Columbus Republican.
"These are funding priorities and revenue sources on which Democrats and Republicans agreed would provide the best opportunities for economic growth in Ohio," said Hughes in a release.
The plan puts $60 million toward redeveloping abandoned industrial sites, $60 million toward new parks and trails, $90 million toward supporting high-tech medical industries, $50 million toward the logistics and distribution industry as well as $100 million for an internship program linking Ohio's brightest students with Ohio employers. Buyer's Remorse? Maureen Dowd Slams Obama
Occasionally, using the Plain Dealer for what it is best used - lining a bird cage, puppy potty training or wrapping a fish - I unfortunately come across the "make my eyes bleed" columns of Maureen Dowd. Yesterday, as I was spreading a temporary 'loaf lounge' for Fido - Dowd's column caught my eye.
Frantically, as Fido was shimmying into position, I lifted him by the tail and switched Dowd's column and gave him a more deserving target -- Cleveland Mayor Jackson's State of The Shitty speech.
Anyway, as I read Dowd's scribbles I could not believe my eyes! Was this partisan propagandist slamming Barack? Could it be?!? Was she doing the unthinkable for liberals - championing John McCain and slamming Obama? Yes, it seems the more Obama removes his mask, the more some of the left leaning lug-nuts are also getting sick of his lies...
In one of his disturbing spells of passivity, President Barack Obama decided not to fight Congress and live up to his own no- earmark pledge from the campaign. He's been lecturing us on the need to prune away frills while the economy fizzles. He gave a speech on "wasteful spending" on Wednesday.
"You know, there are times where you can afford to redecorate your house and there are times where you need to focus on rebuilding its foundation," he said recently about the "hard choices" we must make. Yet he did not ask Congress to sacrifice and make hard choices; he let it do a lot of frivolous redecorating in its budget.
He reckons he'll need Congress for more ambitious projects, like health care, and when he goes back to wheedle more bailout billions, given that AIG and GM and our other corporate protectorates are burning through our money faster than we can print it and borrow it from the ever- more-alarmed Chinese. Team Obama sounds hollow, chanting that "the status quo is not acceptable," even while conceding that the president is accepting the status quo by signing a budget festooned with pork.
Obama spinners insist it was "a leftover budget." But Iraq was leftover, too, and the president's trying to end that. This is the first pork-filled budget from a new president who promised to go through the budget "line by line" and cut pork. On "Face the Nation" on Sunday, Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, dismissed the bill as "last year's business," because most of it was written last year. But given how angry Americans are, watching their future go up in smoke, the bloated bill counts as this year's business.
It includes $38.4 million of earmarks sponsored or co-sponsored by Obama's labor secretary, Hilda Solis; $109 million Hillary Clinton signed on to; and $31.2 million in earmarks sought by Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood with colleagues.
(Even Barack Obama was listed as one of the co-sponsors of a $7.7 million pet project for Tribally Controlled Postsecondary Vocational Institutions until he got his name taken off last week.)
And then there are the 16 earmarks worth $8.5 million that Emanuel put into the bill when he was a congressman, including money for streets in Chicago suburbs and a Chicago planetarium.
Blame it on the stars, Rahm, or on old business. But as Shakespeare wrote in "Lear": "This is the excellent foppery of the world, that, when we are sick in fortune - often the surfeits of our own behavior - we make guilty of our own disasters, the sun, the moon, and the stars."
Sounds like buyer's remorse to me!

Despite our misgivings about the liberal Brit government, we are still outraged by the shabby treatment Messiah Barry has inflicted on the best friend America has in the world. It was bad enough when he booted a statue of Winston Churchill - a gift to America from the Brits - out of Washington and sent it back to England, but the worst was yet to come.
When Prime Minister Gordon Brown paid an official visit to Washington D. C., Messiah Barry treated him like some poor Kenyan relation who arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with all his goats, 12 wives and a noisy tribe of young ‘uns. No state dinner. No joint appearances. No sign of respect whatsoever for the leader of a nation that, routinely, stands by America’s side, when nobody else will answer our calls.
Messiah Barry’s treatment of this important ally is all the proof we need that he’s a sanctimonious, no class, ass who needs to get over himself.

Cuyahoga County Sheriff McFaul - McFooled Again!
Shaffer and a few other relatives of McFool caused a shit-storm when they were recently promoted and given raises after McFool laid off a bunch of deputies. McFaul also caught some heat when it was learned he deputized his son so he could legally carry a gun. Shaffer was subsequently fired after it was learned that while she was working as a security guard while she was off work at the Sheriff Dept on a Workers Comp. claim.
This makes me think... the alleged sexual conduct was welcome when Shaffer received her promotion and raise - and only became harrassing in her mind after she was fired.
McFool is also the subject of an investigation after some 23 yr old tapes surfaced and McFaul is heard instructing a potential witness against him in a sexual harassment case how to avoid being served a subpoena.

Cleveland Water Dept. - An Exercise in Incompetence
Auditor Mary Taylor Slaps Strickland for failing to submit Ohio's '08 Fiscal Reports
Strickland has yet to submit the year end report for fiscal year 2008 so Ohio Auditor Mary Taylor can complete her audit of the state. Because of this delay, Ohio's bond rating maybe in jeopardy...
In fact, if the administration were a local government entity, Taylor said she would have already declared the administration "unauditable."
"The governor is not fulfilling a commitment to accountability and transparency that I believe Ohioans expect and demand," said Taylor during what was a rare news conference for her since becoming auditor in January 2007.
"How will the governor know where he will go fiscally if he doesn't know where he's been?" she asked.
Taylor said she has been told the information won't be available until sometime in June, meaning her office likely won't be able to complete its audit of state government until mid-summer after fiscal 2009 has ended. (PD)
Strickland is blaming the delay on a "faulty" software program - though none of the other departments have complained about the 2006 software program (OAKS) and had their financial reports submitted in a timely manner.
I guess running all over Ohio and the U.S. during Barack's campaign was more important than serving the voters of Ohio. And Strickland's flunky, Lt. Governor Lee Fisher must also agree with this as he would rather use his position as Lt. Gov. to run for a U.S. Senate seat.

The grumblings about Barack Obama not being eligible to serve as President are continuing. Now U.S. military officers are getting more vocal and have filed a rare motion demanding Barack prove his eligibility to serve as President...
That some in the military starting to question Obama's authority is not a good sign. I may be wrong, but I am unaware of any other time in our history that the authority & eligibility of a sitting President has not only been challenged and questioned publicly by our military - but also challenged and questioned legally.Military officers from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines are working with California attorney Orly Taitz and her Defend Our Freedoms Foundation, citing a legal right established in British common law nearly 800 years ago and recognized by the U.S. Founding Fathers to demand documentation that may prove – or disprove - Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.
Taitz told WND today she has mailed to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder a request that he "relate Quo Warranto on Barack Hussein Obama II to test his title to president before the Supreme Court."
The lengthy legal phrase essentially means an explanation is being demanded for what authority Obama is using to act as president. An online constitutional resource says Quo Warranto "affords the only judicial remedy for violations of the Constitution by public officials and agents."
Requesting the action are Maj. Gen. Carroll Childers; Lt. Col. Dr. David Earl-Graef; police officer Clinton Grimes, formerly of the U.S. Navy; Lt. Scott Easterling, now serving on active duty in Iraq; New Hampshire state Rep. Timothy Comerford; Tennessee state Rep. Frank Nicely and others. (World Net Daily)
I believe Obama's missing birth certificate bringing his eligibility into question would not be such a big deal -- if he were not such a failure in his short time as President. It would be hard for anyone not to agree that Obama's start in D.C. could be one of the worst in recent times.
Obama's historical inability to be a good judge of character has shown in his failures in trying to seat a Cabinet. This has carried over into his missteps, which could be classifieds as blunders, on the foreign front with Russia, Venezuela, Iran & Iraq. Not even touching on the 90 degree left turn towards socialism domestically, his buffoonery on the international scene not only damages our homeland security but our national security as well - and that directly relates to the well-being and safety of our soldiers. Only a blind man could not see why some of our military would be concerned - they are fighting terrorism and terrorists while Barack is appeasing terrorists and freeing them from Gitmo.
You can be sure handi-wipe Holder will do nothing with this request against Obama. All this hoopla could be put to rest if Obama just produced a verifiable birth certificate - then case closed there will be no question he is their Commander in Chief.

And guess what? All the screaming, crying, & there will be shoot-outs in the street if people are allowed to carry guns arguments were for naught. The Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray (D) has released the concealed handgun license (CHL) statistics for the fourth quarter of 2008 and the year-end report, Ohio Concealed Handgun Law - 2009 Annual Report. Just as we have seen a spike in demand for guns, we see a strong surge in concealed carry applications from people who want to carry a concealed weapon (CCW).
The fourth quarter has generally been a good quarter for licenses issued, but demand in the waning months of 2008 was stronger than anyone expected. The 10,668 regular licenses issued was an unprecedented 111% increase over the same period a year earlier. There were more licenses issued in the last three months of 2008 than the last quarter of 2006 and 2007 combined. It is also the highest demand for new licenses since the 3rd quarter of 2004, the first full quarter the CCW law was in effect.
Additionally, approximately 78% of expiring CHLs (5,476) were renewed in the fourth quarter. That means 265 people received a new license to carry a firearm every working day. New licenses averaged over 175 every business day – stronger demand than any quarter in the last 4 years!
In 2008, there were 33,864 regular licenses issued. That is a whopping 53% increase over last year, which was sharply up from the year prior. Issuances of Temporary Emergency Licenses (TELs) also doubled for the quarter, bringing the year to date total to 73 TELs issued. Adding in the renewals, Ohio's sheriffs issued 65,256 licenses to carry concealed handguns last year.
That number not only sets a new record, it shatters the old record of 45,562 licenses issued with a greater than 43 percent increase. While the prior record was only a partial year, it was also the first year the law was in effect. Typically the first year is the busiest time ever for issuances of concealed carry permits or licenses, due to the initial surge after a state passes the self-defense law. But there were even more licenses handed out per day last year in Ohio than the first year the concealed carry program was in effect....

President Obama's Stimulus Plan is Good for America

Muslims Like Americans - but Hate American Soldiers
I find the numbers in these polls very interesting.
From the Middle East Times --
The first is that large majorities in predominantly Muslim counties firmly reject attacks on American civilians for political goals. Over 80 percent in Egypt and Azerbaijan and over 70 percent in Turkey and Indonesia say they disapprove. Even in Pakistan and the Palestinian territories, almost 60 percent reject such terrorist tactics.
The second obvious finding from these latest polls, released this week, is that equally large majorities want the United States to remove its bases and military forces from Muslim countries. Very significant majorities would even agree with the goal of al-Qaida to "push the U.S. to remove its bases and its military forces from all Islamic countries," including 87 percent of Egyptians, 64 percent of Indonesians, and 60 percent of Pakistanis.
Less obvious, but probably a logical consequence of wanting the withdrawal of U.S. forces, is the disturbing finding that very significant majorities approve of attacks on U.S. troops based in Iraq, the Gulf, and Afghanistan. Large majorities approve of attacks in Egypt (over 78 percent), the Palestinian territories (87 percent), and Jordan (66 percent). In Turkey and Pakistan views are more divided. However, only minorities in Indonesia and Azerbaijan would endorse such attacks.
The third finding of the polls, which will come as little surprise to Americans familiar with the Middle East and the Islamic world, is the intense suspicion of U.S. goals in the region. Large majorities ranging from 62 percent in Indonesia to 87 percent in Egypt say they believe that the United States seeks "to weaken and divide the Islamic world."
Equally large majorities, ranging from 62 percent in Pakistan to 90 percent in Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Jordan, and the Palestinian territories, say that the United States seeks "control over the oil resources of the Middle East.
In some aspects this poll is accurate. Still having a bad after-taste of the US's involvement with the former Shah of Iran and our blind support for British Colonialism - I could understand some apprehension. This also strengthens the misconception that we want to control oil resources in the Middle East.
The fact is, while we do not want to control the oil resources, we do want to create an atmosphere of free & fair trade without allowing any rogue, anti-US countries from having a stranglehold or influence over the U.S. and other non-OPEC countries. So, in a sense we do want to create a divide in the Muslim world - but this divide comes by making the radical nations supporting terrorism & anti-U.S. policies weaker, while empowering nations that do not have a quest for a world domination by radical muslims.
My summation on these polls would be - Muslims like us, they like freedom, they like the idea of democracy - but they want to kill our soldiers protecting them from the goat-screwing radical groups forbidding this type behavior.
