I have learned in life that things are not always what they seem. For instance, if someone is taking you out for free meal...you will end up paying more in the long run. Despite the moniker...make NO MISTAKE! I am unapologetically conservative. However, in order to navigate the waste filled waters of cuyahoga county's republican party a conservative can not always "appear" as they are if they want to get anyting done. Trust me. First off, I get a kick of the irony. Ask, King. The name and the comments make him and my friends laugh. However, the nature of what I am trying to accomplish here (i.e. with these posts on this blog and some forthcoming projects) is anything but funny. Actually, this matter is a crying , gut-wrenching, unforgivable shame.
A few years ago some people amongst us decided that they were too in love with there titles, appointments to useless committees, and invites to every party to do anything about the strangle hold that a certain political party was developing on our region. A friend summed it up well: they would rather be mayor of the card board store front town than nothing at all. These same people are just as complicit as Cuyahoga County Democrats are for making the area such an easy commute. What do I mean? If you look around your car a rush hour on 71 and 90 and there are several car lengths between you and the next guy doing 70 mph...not a lot of people are going anywhere...because THEY ARE NOT HERE! They are leaving!

It is not just the GC Young RINO that thinks this...so does the daily fish wrap! When people laugh at you for wanting to stay in the area...you can' really find a high paying job unless you move...Jimmy (who will be referred to as Boss hog from here on out)...we have a problem!
This County has taxed and chased out so many of its residences and businesses it is a shame.
This county is the albatross that should be hung around the neck of every proud Democrat in this area. You guys have sunk the area. The county and city Democrats have allowed Cuyahoga to rot from the core out. At 433, 000 and dwindling...the recipient of the country's most impoverished (poorest) city title several times in the past few years...county and city Democrats should be proud. a family member on the county payroll via a patronage appointment (more on that later) told me I should "join the winning team." Winning team? At the expense of my community losing...real nice.
Now, this guy got his job because of his political connections...at first glance that would make most of you groan. However, I recently told a long time veteran republican friend that who can blame people for feeding at Bo$$ Hogg'$ (Jimmy Dimora's...last time I will remind you) trough. Pat O'malley et al.'s patronage machine is the sign of an effective county party organization (listen up some of you who check here regularly). Now, that may not be good for the region, but it shows that a certain political party knows how to get things done.
Which brings me back to the other part of the equation. The check and balance in our political system are elections between people...usually of opposite parties...to offer an alternative to the other when they are not doing there job. Not Cuyahoga County though. Cuyahoga County Republicans keep drinking the party kool aid. "Well...you know...look at the base vote...blah blah blah...we could never expect to...blah blah blah...." I am not drinking the kool aid anymore.
I am going RINO hunting. Unfortunately many of the old geezers around the party and other space cadets were too satisfied with the title of ward leader ( with no one to lead...check how many committee men you have)...appointments to policy committees that could not make or enforce policy...and tolerating excuses instead of leadership to notice the fat guy consolidating power and control of your tax dolalrs on the fourth floor of Lake Side Avenue.
Good jobs guys! Now, we are looking for a few good men to help clean-up the mess. Let's get the RINO hunting over...and take this thin back. Just remember...some of us will have to wear camouflage to get things done at first.
YOU NEED CAMO TO HUNT
