Bishop Bars Rep. Patrick Kennedy from receiving Communion over Abortion Stance

After telling Rep. Patrick Kennedy, son of the late Sen. Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy, "he was not a good practicing Catholic because of the positions he's taken as a public official, particularly on abortion," Bishop Tobin informed Kennedy he has instructed the diocesan priests not to gve him Communion.

Earlier this year Patrick Kennedy took the Catholic Church and Bishops
to task for encouraging stricter controls on federally funded abortions and stated --
"...the Catholic Church was only fanning “the flames of dissent and discord” by taking the position that it will oppose the health care reform bill under consideration in Congress unless it is amended to explicitly prohibit funding of abortion."

Coming from the Kennedy Klan, which was built on the fortunes of illegal bootlegging by his Grandfather, the communist loving Papa Joe Kennedy, and feeling the Kennedy's are above God, Patrick forgot that although you may be forgiven -- there are consequences for your sins....
"While I greatly respect the Catholic Church and its leaders, like many Rhode Islanders, the fact that I disagree with the hierarchy of the church on some issues does not make me any less of a Catholic," Kennedy wrote in a letter to Tobin, agreeing to a meeting.

"I embrace my faith which acknowledges the existence of an imperfect humanity."

The bishop wrote back: "Sorry, you can't chalk it up to an 'imperfect humanity.' Your position is unacceptable to the Church and scandalous to many of our members. It absolutely diminishes your Communion with the Church." (Irish Central)

We can only hope Bishop Tobin stands his ground and that a nice sized donation to the Diocese doesn't get this order rescinded.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy gets a Public Slapping from Catholic Church

Always ones to disgrace and use the Catholic Church to serve their political needs, Rep. Patrick Kennedy, of the abortion loving Kennedy Klan, earns a well deserved and long overdue & public slapping for statements regarding the churches position on health care reform...
In the interview on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Kennedy said the Catholic Church was only fanning “the flames of dissent and discord” by taking the position that it will oppose the health care reform bill under consideration in Congress unless it is amended to explicitly prohibit funding of abortion.

“If the church is pro-life, then they ought to be for health care reform because it’s going to provide health care that are going to keep people alive,” Kennedy told CNSNews.com.

In his Friday statement, Bishop Tobin said: “Congressman Patrick Kennedy’s statement about the Catholic Church’s position on health care reform is irresponsible and ignorant of the facts. But the Congressman is correct in stating that 'he can’t understand.' He got that part right.

Baby-Killing Barack appoints Baby-Killing Science Czar

It looks like baby-killer Barack has appointed an abortion loving lab rat to be his Science Czar...

From WND --

The man President Obama has chosen to be his science czar once advocated a shocking approach to the "population crisis" feared by scientists at the time: namely, compulsory abortions in the U.S. and a "Planetary Regime" with the power to enforce human reproduction restrictions.

"There exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated," wrote Obama appointee John Holdren, as reported by FrontPage Magazine. "It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society."

Holdren's comments, made in 1977, mirror the astonishing admission this week of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who said she was under the impression that legalizing abortion with the 1973 Roe. v. Wade case would eliminate undesirable members of the populace, or as she put it "populations that we don't want to have too many of."

In 1977, when many scientists were alarmed by predictions of harmful environmental effects of human population growth, Holdren teamed with Paul R. Ehrlich, author of "The Population Bomb," and his wife, Anne, to pen "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment."

Holdren's book proposed multiple strategies to curb population growth, and, according to the quotes excerpted by FrontPage Magazine, advocated an international police force to ensure the strategies were carried out. More...

Population control? Now Obamao sounds like his little commie friends in China. This makes me ask will Obamao and his science czar use this population control technique in the projects to control the drain on society or will he implement this on babies of conservative thinking people?

This is a toss up... with Obamao's staunch support of the single largest killer of African-Americans - abortion - and his desire to have Charlie Manson like control over the minds of everyday God-fearing, Flag-loving, Constitution respecting Americans, Obamao, in Hitler like fashion, will or can use use his science czar to impose control over anyone not agreeing with the socialist slide to hell he is taking us on.

Stem Cell Research & Barack Obama

I often say the Plain Dealer is a rag, fit only for lining a bird cage, puppy potty training and wrapping some fish. Beside being nothing more than a propaganda periodical shilling for the Greater Cleveland Partnership - I've learned the rag serves as a great place to put your muddy boots. Most often there are only two columnists in the PD worth reading... Kevin O'Brien & Phillip Morris.

In O'Briens column today he addresses Barack O-Baby Killers aloofness towards the sanctity of life...

A reader wrote in recently to explain why people needn't worry when President Barack Obama glibly dismisses the destruction of ordinary Americans' finances, insults a key ally's visiting prime minister, makes clumsy overtures to Russia that get leaked and laughed off, grows federal power exponentially -- that sort of thing.

"Has anyone considered," the reader asks, "that President Barack Obama is very good both at multitasking and at seeing things as a system and interconnected? I think that's why he is doing so many things at the same time. Most of us do not have these skills and are lost by his process and speed."

I'll be darned. And all this time, I thought he was trying to keep us from guessing which shell the pea was under.

But when it comes to contemplating the ethics of stem cell research, even the Master Multitasker appears to have hit the limit of weighty issues he can juggle.

Sorry, no time. Busy-busy.

No one was surprised when, within hours of taking office, he swept away an executive order that prohibited American tax money funding abortions in foreign lands. That was just the reinstatement of a Clinton-era rule -- disappointing, morally wrong, but both expected and familiar.

Last week, though, Obama got quite a bit more adventurous, announcing plans to scrap a Department of Health and Human Services rule that allows health care workers to refuse, for moral or religious reasons, to participate in abortions.

That was a new rule, promulgated by the Bush administration on its way out the door.

When the pro-life Bush was in office, medical practitioners possessed of a functioning conscience didn't need the protection. But now that they need it, they can't have it. On some matters, the new administration is in no mood to allow conscientious objectors. We're all in this together, even when "this" is what a lot of us consider murder.

People who work in and support Catholic hospitals hope this item is on Obama's to-talk-about list rather than his to-do list, and maybe they'll luck out. But judging by his past extremist rhetoric and his voting record on abortion-related issues, this may just be one of those rare instances when he actually means exactly what he says.

Then there's this week's decision to open the federal floodgates for stem cell research that involves the destruction of human embryos. There's no opt-out for this one, either, fellow taxpayers. You're in.

The president doesn't want you to worry about any thorny moral, religious or ethical questions, either. He says this is all about science, and that scientists will make all of the decisions about how best to proceed.

So, does Obama speak for you on that? Does it make sense to detach the "can we" questions of science from the "should we" questions of morality and ethics, especially when human lives are at stake? Are we really done with that discussion, just because it happens to bore Barack Obama?

There is every expectation that the National Institutes of Health will decide, as it did in 1994, the last time it was asked, that it should have the authority and the federal funding to create human embryos expressly for purposes of research.

Bill Clinton -- hardly a rabid pro-lifer -- said no to that, after an overwhelmingly negative public response. Obama hopes to short-circuit that public response so he can answer, "Whatever."

His strategy is to pretend that this is a purely scientific issue, devoid of moral and political content, when in fact, it's freighted with both.

Politically, his order will please that considerable element of his constituency for whom abortion rights are always the first priority and anything that diminishes the public's regard for unborn children is a plus.

But it's risky politics, too. A healthy portion of Catholics and evangelical Christians who voted for Obama and other Democrats are experiencing buyer's remorse. If they wish to support Obama on every other matter, so be it. But on matters of innocent human life and death, they cannot in good conscience support him.

He's proving that one thing he said during his campaign was true: This kind of decision is above his pay grade. More to the point, it's beyond his moral capacity.

On this one, the governed should loudly withhold their consent.

Cleveland's first Right to Life March

Looks like something positive finally happened in Cleveland... With over 200 participants the first ever anti-abortion march, March for Life, held in Cleveland appears to have been a success.

The pro-life march was held to bring exposure against the proposed Freedom of Choice Act that President-elect Obama says he will sign into law. The Freedom of Choice Act will overturn many state laws against partial-birth abortions and ice up the slippery slope to state funded abortions.

From the PD --

More than 200 abortion opponents huddled Saturday at noon to pray at Perk Park, then fanned to the sidewalks of East 12th Street, trudging the two blocks to PlayhouseSquare in a wind chill of minus-8 degrees.
"This was not a confrontational march," said Anne Robins, executive director of LifeWorks Ohio, who helped organize the march with Cleveland Right to Life. "It's a call to prayer."

State Rep. Josh Mandel, a Republican from Lyndhurst, and Ohio Christian Alliance President Chris Long also spoke against the bill, urging people to call, e-mail and send letters to their congressional representatives. On Saturday, participants filled out postcards to send to U.S. Sens. George Voinovich and Sherrod Brown.

That Obama would promise to sign this bill into law on the campaign trail is no surprise. During the short life of his fantasy-filled political career, Barack O'babykiller, voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act and has earned the nickname - The Infanticide Candidate.

What I don't understand is why Barack, the man who "embraces" his partial blackness with bear hugs, would support the #1 killer of black Americans - Abortion.
