Bishop Bars Rep. Patrick Kennedy from receiving Communion over Abortion Stance

After telling Rep. Patrick Kennedy, son of the late Sen. Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy, "he was not a good practicing Catholic because of the positions he's taken as a public official, particularly on abortion," Bishop Tobin informed Kennedy he has instructed the diocesan priests not to gve him Communion.

Earlier this year Patrick Kennedy took the Catholic Church and Bishops

to task for encouraging stricter controls on federally funded abortions and stated --

"...the Catholic Church was only fanning “the flames of dissent and discord” by taking the position that it will oppose the health care reform bill under consideration in Congress unless it is amended to explicitly prohibit funding of abortion."

Coming from the Kennedy Klan, which was built on the fortunes of illegal bootlegging by his Grandfather, the communist loving Papa Joe Kennedy, and feeling the Kennedy's are above God, Patrick forgot that although you may be forgiven -- there are consequences for your sins....

"While I greatly respect the Catholic Church and its leaders, like many Rhode Islanders, the fact that I disagree with the hierarchy of the church on some issues does not make me any less of a Catholic," Kennedy wrote in a letter to Tobin, agreeing to a meeting.

"I embrace my faith which acknowledges the existence of an imperfect humanity."

The bishop wrote back: "Sorry, you can't chalk it up to an 'imperfect humanity.' Your position is unacceptable to the Church and scandalous to many of our members. It absolutely diminishes your Communion with the Church." (Irish Central)

We can only hope Bishop Tobin stands his ground and that a nice sized donation to the Diocese doesn't get this order rescinded.

Hate Crime Bill turns Clergy into Criminals and Teaching Christianity Illegal

The radical gay agenda (RGA) is launching a full frontal, Scud Missile-like attack on our religious freedoms and our right to free speech. But in this attack, the missiles are aimed at the backs of clergymen.

Yep, another group of people that want to be treated equal, are again requesting special status classification. While there was no equality in the Miss America Pageant and Miss Tex-hot-ass was the target of venomous hate and blatant bias by a queer blogger causing her to lose the crown - the hip swiveling sissy's want to make it illegal for anyone to speak or preach God's word and/or make our right to free speech the right to selectively chosen, politically correct free speech....

Members of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee today rejected an opportunity to protect Christian pastors who preach the biblical condemnation of homosexuality and approved on a 15-12 vote a "hate crimes" bill that supporters admit could be used to bring charges against religious leaders.

The bill, H.R. 1913, now will be considered by the full House of Representatives. The committee rejected a number of amendments offered by several members seeking to protect religious liberty, to protect the unborn, to protect against violence by illegal aliens, and to clarify the bill's meanings of "gender identity" and "sexual orientation." Elevated to a "Super Special Class" status, the passage of this bill will allow the rights of these gender benders to trump our constitutional rights. The passage of this bill would make you a criminal if you were being offended by their sissified, perverted behavior, whether it be publicly or in private and now the church itself.

A known threat to hamsters, gerbils and small rodents across the world, the RGA has infiltrated the public schools and forcefully indoctrinate children into thinking Gay is OK. Students resisting this teaching are routinely suspended and parents are often left helpless with no recourse. This bill would now prevent the teachings of the Bible in religious schools.

Our inherent rights, and many parental rights, continually take a backseat (no pun intended) for their so-called special rights. I guess part of being a bone bopper means your special rights gives you permission to offend anybody without a care in the world. This attack on our religious freedom, right to free speech, parental rights and attempts at redefining our Constitution must be stopped.

For many the church is the only place where our religious values are not under attack. It is crucial for everyone to contact your congressman and voice your anger and outrage over this bill. By the standards in this bill - Jesus would be considered a racist, bigoted, hate-monger.

Any congressional clown voting in support of this bull, oops, bill, also supports taking away your God-given rights. Contact them and tell them, if they support this bill - their privileged to serve our country -- will be taken away on their next election day!

I agree that gay people are a gift from God, though they have lost their way and must be found. I am sure God still loves them and looks at them as his children... but many of us know - his children can't come home if they are gay!

Pat Robertson predicts United States will Embrace Socialism

Crucifix Banned in British Prison

A British prison has decided not to include a crucifix in the décor of its new chapel for fear of offending Muslim inmates.

The ‘multi-faith space’ at HMP Lewes is divided in two sections, according to the Daily Mail. One half-features heated footbaths for Muslim worshipers; the other side, dedicated to Christian prayer, features a removable altar and a plain wooden cross – also removable.

Plans to include the traditional Christian crucifix were erased from the chapel’s blueprints on the advice of a Muslim imam, the Daily Mail reported.

“We see this as a vastly improved facility and very much welcome the fact that the prison has an imam.” Amanda Hamblin, chair of the prison’s Independent Monitoring Board told the Mail.”

A source from the prison disagreed, reportedly telling the Mail, “It’s just the normal PC brigade poking its nose in when it isn’t needed.”

Open letter to Roman Catholics for Obama

The following excerpts are from a letter written by fellow RPCC member David Fago to fellow Roman Catholics who support, or who are thinking about supporting Barack Obama...

This letter is addressed to all the “Roman Catholics for Obama” groups out there.

I have read and heard many reasons why Roman Catholics are supporting Barack Hussein Obama for President this year, and on the surface…the arguments are compelling. Some of the issues that concern Roman Catholics that would compel them to vote for Obama are: Unemployment, High Gas Prices, The Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the failure of Wall Street, and a genuine hate for George W. Bush.

Roman Catholics must remember this: We celebrate the Immaculate Conception. We have a feast day and a Holy Day of Obligation for the Immaculate Conception on December 8. This day alone tells us that life begins at conception. This day is not called the “Immaculate Fetus Date of a Potential Baby That Might Become Someone Special”. It is called the Immaculate Conception because at the very instance of conception, this baby, this person, this human being with potential IS going to be someone special. (I don’t think we need Bill Clinton to tell what the definition of IS is on this one!)

If you vote a straight Democratic ticket for Congress and Senate and state and local offices…that is OK. But for a vote for President of the United States…as a Roman Catholic…you must vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin to reverse this terrible genocide and call for the protection of the most innocent human life. Local Nut Job Street Preacher has "Disorderly Conduct" charges dropped

Local religious crack-pot, Jason Wiener, has had disorderly conduct charges against him dismissed.

At one time Wiener was a member of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County. After getting trounced in the GOP primary for his 2nd bid of trying to unseat Kucinich, Wiener left the RPCC (Yahoo!). Wiener is now a "rising star" in the Constitution Party.

The Bible-Thumping Wiener was charged with disorderly conduct earlier this year for accosting, berating and scaring customers of the Blue Point Grille with his religious rants.

Werner criticized abortion and told passers-by that they would go to hell unless they accepted Jesus in their lives.

Police cited Werner for disorderly conduct. He was blocking the path of bystanders and telling people that they were baby killers and were going to hell, the ticket states.
Werner said he plans to resume his preaching on the street corner. A citizen's free-speech rights were taken away, but a higher power intervened, Werner said.

Werner thinks it was a sign of a higher power... I'd bet the prosecutors did not want to subject themselves or the courts to such lunacy! I believe had the prosecutors office chose to do so - convicting Wiener would have been a no-brainer.

Making matters even more laughable while Wiener - the "Holy Roller" hypocrite - is out damning others, a sometimes commenter on here, KRS, left this remark in the PD comments section of the story....

What gets me are those the Christians who impregnate a 19 year-old girl while they're still married, and then divorce their current wife to marry the other woman (i.e., Werner).

As I posted when the wack job was arrested - this case is not an issue of violating someones right to free speech, but of a person disturbing others by being a pest and not obeying police orders.

Over the years, that resolve has held steadfast, making Frankenmuth’s population one of the highest concentrations of Lutherans in the Midwest.

Thanks to a newcomer to town, Lloyd Clarke, Frankenmuth’s Lutheran traditions are under assault. A long term denizen of Michigan, this 66-year-old whiner moved from Bay City to be closer to family members who live in, and around, Frankenmuth. At first, everything was spiffy for Lloyd, until, one ignoble day, he roused himself from his ‘can’t we all get along’ coma then started going to war over all the crosses that are prominently displayed on ‘public’ land.

One day, Lloyd noticed the crosses on bridge in town. Lloyd worried that some heretofore content Jews, Mecca Maniacs, or other non Cross Cultists, might get a boo-boo from them. Given ‘no choice’, this peace puke, former Green Party state senate candidate, caterwauled until the city removed the crosses from that bridge.

Just getting started, this cretin painted his differently-religious bull’s-eye on the cross in a city park and the one on the city seal. That’s why, tired of Lloyd’s crap, rank and file Frankenmuth citizens exercised their right to free speech and excoriated Lloyd for being a complete and utter asshat about Frankenmuth’s supernaturalist roots. After the heat became intolerable, he started to whine about being picked on by his neighbors. When even the tykes started blistering his sorry, whiner, butt, Lloyd bailed out of his quest to make Frankenmuth ‘safe’ for the differently-religious.

Teacher "brands" student with Cross

A public school board in Ohio voted unanimously today to proceed with firing an eighth-grade teacher for allegedly teaching his Christian beliefs in science classes and "branding" students with crosses.

Responding to an investigation, the Mount Vernon School District board voted 5-0 to consider termination of John Freshwater's contract at its next meeting, July 7.

The report presented to the board today charged Freshwater used a high-frequency generator – a Tesla coil – to make a cross on the arms of students, taught the theory of intelligent design and refused to remove all religious articles from his classroom.

Freshwater and the school board have been sued by the parents of a student who says the teacher violated their son's civil rights by branding him on the arm with a cross. The mark lasted four weeks, the parents claim.

But a spokesman for Freshwater, Dave Daubenmire, downplayed the parents' accusations and called the investigation one-sided, with "old trumped-up charges brought back to the table." More...

Where the hell are the police in this matter? This is child abuse! How in the hell could an educator consider branding a student educational?!?!? Many districts call police if students even get in a fight because of the sissified policy of "no-tolerance."

The teacher and the district could be sure of one thing.... if this were my child the teacher would have no teeth, an imprint of a fist on his jaw and a Cross branded on his forehead! Freshwater's spokesman saying - the investigation is one-sided, with "old trumped-up charges brought back to the table," would earn him at least a shock from a trumped up Taser charge!

For me this case is not about religion - but about the fact a teacher should NOT be placing his hands on a student unless he is lighting their butt with a paddle for misbehaving.

For any holy roller's that feel like commenting - don't give the crap religion should be in schools and the rest of your arguments. They do not work with me - my son goes to a Catholic school.

Again, some people of the jewish faith think everything is about them. Whether they like it or not, they were used as tools in effecting the crucifixtion of Jesus. But of course when this is brought up - the accusations of anti-semitism fly.

While they continually remind us of the Holocaust - any reference to their participation in nailing Jesus on the cross are taboo. I guess facts only count if they further their murmurings and to advance their cause. Much like the way they pick and choose from the Old Testament.

I wonder if they will ever realize everything is not about them?

The Affirmative Action Election - Odumbo the Tan Peter Pan

After giving two lame excuses and being caught in lies, the democrats Tan Peter Pan (Odumbo)will now try to AGAIN to re-adjust his statements about the Preacher of Hate - Rev. Wright.

I have been writing a post on Odumbo and his hate filled spiritual leader. I intend to show how some of the Democrats and liberal bloggers are turning this into an Affirmative Action Election with their dysfunctional love for Odumbo. I am holding it until after Odumbo's - "Rev. Wright was my spiritual leader for 20 yrs, but nothing he said means anything to me" speech later today.

Beefin' in Bethlehem

Here's something I bet most people did not know..... it is routine for the priest running the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem to have scuffles during their yearly Christmas clean up of the church.

This year was no different!

Seven people were injured on Thursday when Greek Orthodox and Armenian priests came to blows in a dispute over how to clean the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

Following the Christmas celebrations, Greek Orthodox priests set up ladders to clean the walls and ceilings of their part of the church, which is built over the site where Jesus Christ is believed to have been born.

But the ladders encroached on space controlled by Armenian priests, according to photographers who said angry words ensued and blows quickly followed.

For a quarter of an hour bearded and robed priests laid into each other with fists, brooms and iron rods while the photographers who had come to take pictures of the annual cleaning ceremony recorded the whole event. More.... (Here is the video)

Priests fighting in church?!? Oh boy these guys are going to be in BIG trouble! I wonder who they will give their confession too.

Even though these priests are acting like little children it does go to show the difference between Christianity and Islam.

Had this "offense" been at a mosque or between muslims - we would be reading about how thousands of people took to the streets, burning tires, cars and killing innocent people.

Of course to make any turban spinning muslim story complete you need explosions! So there would have to be a suicide bomber, an explosive laden car that killed more innocent people and bombing of each other mosques.

And to top everything off guess who broke up the fight? Palestinian policemen!

Oklahoma City Grinch Bans Christmas Decorations

Here I am again pondering the thought process of the lefties. This time I am thinking about the "War on Christmas." Many on the left say there is no "War on Christmas," ~ the righties are just over reacting and again... maybe they are right.

NOT!

The city manager for Oklahoma City just banned any Christmas decorations in the city if there is any hint of them being religious. In fact the grinch moved the city Christmas Party off of city grounds and forced employees to use vacation time to attend....

"Anything less than full alignment with the U.S. Constitution exposes the city to legal liability," wrote city manager James D. Couch.

"This does not mean that we cannot express our desire to celebrate the holiday … instead of displaying religious based scenes, opt for winter scenes," Couch said.
