Tea Party Patriot October Surprise

In the next few weeks, Tea Party Patriots will challenge you to keep our republic. It is going to take effort, energy, time, and commitment. It is a multi-prong approach that involves protests, faxes, and visits to Congressional Offices both in DC and at local offices.

The focus of the October Surprise will be asking our Senators and Congressmen to vote NO on government takeover of health care and NO on Cap and Trade. The October Surprise is intended to get the media saying, my god they're back, bigger than ever and where are they coming from?

Last Thursday, in an emergency conference call, over 100 national and local Tea Party Patriot organizers around the country unanimously supported a recent proposal to hold new week long rallies in over 650 cities around the country.

On October 19th, in unison with our fellow Tea Party Patriot groups holding these rallies across the country, the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots will send our message & host our rally at the world famous -- Cleveland Clinic.

Tell your friends & neighbors -- invite your own doctor to attend the rally! This is the start of the final push towards government run health care. This is NOT the health care reform we need or the kind of health care reform most Americans want. As Americans, it our duty & responsibility to stop the hijacking of our country! This can only be done with your help!

Regarding the health care battles in D.C., the administration said today, "We' re not tired......we' re just getting started." Let's meet this challenge head on with a huge crowd at the Cleveland Clinic and send the message back -- "Neither are the Tea Party Patriots -- so bring it on!"

Help State Sen. Tim Grendell Stop Corrupt Public Employees from crying "Victimhood"

The one State Senator willing to stand for something and the one we can continually count on as truly being a voice for OH residents down in Columbus is again fighting to protect our best interest.

State Senator Tim Grendell, unlike many other elected officials, see's a problem or something wrong and he acts. Grendell wants to close the loophole in OH law allowing some elected officials & public employees convicted of corruption from collecting thier pensions.

State legislators passed the pension forfeiture law last year following a series of public scandals ranging from Ohio Gov. Bob Taft and Coingate to an embezzling downstate sheriff. The crimes triggering forfeiture include bribery, a pattern of corrupt activity and theft in office.

But it appears most of the eight public employees found guilty so far in the federal probe have jobs that do not fall within thescope of the state forfeiture law. Only J. Kevin Kelley could be affected -- and only because of his role as an elected Parma school board member, not in his position with the Cuyahoga County engineer's office.

Convicted employees must hold jobs of sufficient importance to lose their pensions. Positions include elected officials, members of boards or commissions appointed by the governor or attorney general, public employees required to file disclosure statements with the state, prosecutors and law directors, as well as local and state police.

"You're trying to get the guys who can improperly benefit from the use of public funds," Grendell said.
(Cleveland.com)

Speaking on the Bob Frantz Show the other evening, Senator Grendell is urging everyone to contact your State Senator and ask they join him in sponsoring this legislation.

You can find your State Senators contact information by clicking here.

Another Cleveland Dream Will Be Funded By Tax Dollars

We are just so lucky here in Cuyahoga County!

Why?

Because the institution of integrity shown by our Democrat leadership, the eagle-eyed watchdog's in the local GOP and utterly awesome business leaders of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, this area is just a thriving metropolis with people stepping over each other too get here. And as we all know -- unemployment in this area and across the state is almost non-existent!

We all remember the Med Mart that turned this area, as promised, into a Medical Mecca. As the thousands of doctors and health care executives fill our area hotel rooms injecting untold amounts of dollars into our billowing local and state economy -- once again, by using our tax dollars we will be blessed by these brain trusts and they will recreate the faltering Flats.

From the PD --
Buildings could start rising early next year on the east bank of the Flats, the result of $54 million in new public loans and grants being assembled to get the stalled development moving again.

The city and statefunding, announced Tuesday, will smooth the road toward construction of a slimmed-down, $270 million first phase of the Flats East Bank project - including an office building to house accounting firm Ernst & Young and law firm Tucker Ellis & West.

Plans for the first portion of the project also include a hotel, stores, restaurants, a health club and 14 acres of public parks and green space. All of that could be finished by spring 2012.

The news provides a life raft for the Flats East Bank development, (Continue)

With State & Local coffers overflowing and our elected state-wide officials having "Skip the Silver Dollar across the Scioto River" contests every Saturday in Columbus -- what better way can there be of spending these unneeded tax dollars.

Operation Recess Rally
Stand Against Socialized Health Care

August is recess month for Congress. The month during which our Senators and Congressmen return to their districts to converse with their constituents, usually in the form of Town Hall meetings. This August the Town Hall meetings have been few and far between, apparently because our representatives are unwilling to listen to the message they know they will hear:
"No socialized health care!"

Now is the time to take the message to their offices. This coming Saturday, August 22, 2009 participating in a nation wide rally, we will gather in large numbers at the offices of every Senator and Congressman to let them know beyond any shadow of a doubt that we oppose the take-over of our health care system by our government.

We need this rally to be huge! Please make every effort to go to one of your local Congressional offices at noon this Saturday.

Here is a list of local offices:

Representative Dennis J. Kucinich (D – 10)
14400 Detroit Avenue
Lakewood, OH 44107-4408

Representative Marcia L. Fudge (D – 11)
4834 Richmond Road, Suite 150
Warrensville, OH 44128

P.S. There are currently 15 charter bus seats available for the trip to Washington D.C. for the 912 March. See the 912 MARCH page on the website (

Casinos in OH get CPPA Endorsement

I have long supported gambling in OH, just never the way it has been presented on the ballot. After missing the boat for who knows how many years, there is a plan with sense that may finally get casinos in OH.

A big plus for Issue 3 is that the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Assoc. just endorsed the measure...
The Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association on Wednesday endorsed a plan to change the Ohio Constitution to allow casinos to be built in four cities around the state -- Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo. The measure, allowing one casino in each city, will appear on November's statewide ballots as Issue 3.

Loomis said building a casino here will keep money in Cleveland that is spent at casinos in neighboring states, will add tax money for the city and will not add crime to the city. After talking with police in cities with casinos, Loomis said it's more likely that a casino will attract more people to downtown so that crime falls rather than bringing problems.

Under Issue 3, Gilbert would be allowed to build and operate a casino in Cleveland and one in Cincinnati. The company Penn National Gaming of Pennsylvania would build casinos in Columbus and in Toledo, where it already has a race track. Those would be the only four casinos allowed unless voters pass another amendment to the state constitution.

Gilbert's committee pushing casinos, once called the Ohio Jobs and Growth Committee, is now using the name "Yes on 3." (PD)

Cuyahoga County says -- "Browns Fan's are Slobs"

I don't think I have ever posted about sports on here -- but there's always a first! And when you talk about stupidity, ignorance, incompetence, losing mentality and a continual wallet-raping of the citizens who or what is the first thing that usually comes to mind -- Cuyahoga County and/or a Cleveland sports team.

Don't you just love the thinking.... since you idiots pay Hobnob & his future terrorist cousin Habeeb $25 for parking at a Browns game.... why can't we gouge you guys too?!?
Football fans will pay from $3 to $25 at the county's two public lots, depending on what surrounding lots are charging on event days, said Deputy Director of Central Services Bartholomew Leneghan.

"We want to keep it full, of course," Leneghan said after Monday's commissioners meeting. "We just want to be competitive."

The meeting agenda called for a vote on increasing prices from $15 to $25 at the Huntington Garage, beneath the old courthouse at Ontario Street and Lakeside Avenue, and from $20 to $25 at the small Courthouse Square surface lot, on the northwest corner of Lakeside Avenue and West Third Street.

Now, after taking away half the drunken fun of going to a Browns game, by turning the legendary tail-gating party's of the loyal Browns fans into dress up Barbie, jacks, pick up sticks and pansy picnics and being forced to mortgage off your first kid so you can afford taking the second kid to a game, buy a over-priced flat beer and have enough nickels to buy a stale hot dog for stuffing in his pie hole long enough to stop him from whining, "I'm cold, the Browns suck & I want to go home" before half time -- you now have to sell the second kid just for parking (this will allow you enough for two overpriced flat beers too).

But it gets better.... besides price gouging of the idiot fans that travel to the stadium paid for by smokers (who can't smoke there) so they can watch the local football team masquerading as the Cleveland Browns who, because they will again suck swollen donkey balls and will have a hard time filling the stadium this year, the other reason given for the price increase -- because Browns fans are slobs....
County Administrator Jim McCafferty said the county needs the hike because of a $300,000 deficit in a garage fund.

Fewer cars have been parking in the garage this year, he said. And costs -- including the overtime paid to custodians to clean up food, beer and pop left strewn over the spaces -- are increasing.

"It's so the rest of the taxpayers don't have to pay to clean up," McCafferty said. (PD)

If Mr. McCafferty and the Commissioners are SOOOO concerned about the tax payers of Cuyahoga County paying for irresponsible actions of others... why don't they use the money from the forced sales tax increase for imaginary Med Mart we had to have built two years ago?

Join the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots Protest Obama's Health Care Town Hall Meeting

Ignoring pleas from within his own party (even from Harry Reid) to slow down and turning a deaf ear on the cries of Americans from across the political spectrum, Premier Obamao continues head on with his push for socialized health care. On Thursday July 23rd, he will be in Cleveland promoting his socialized health care agenda.

Obama is on the ropes and is back pedalling against the outcry. He has already pushed his mandate of a bill passed by August 1st back a few days. If passed, this so-called trillion dollar fix for Health Care, and we will soon be spelling it Hellth Care.

Health Care issues (costs) in this country DO need to be addressed, but bankrupting our country, insuring illegal immigrant over citizens, asking the elderly "to be responsible and die" and taking away our right to choose, is not only not right -- but it is Un-American.

Obama's Comin' to Town & he's Selling Hellthcare

Oh Goody!
President Barack Obama will be in Northeast Ohio Thursday to discuss health care reform, White House officials said Saturday.

They did not yet have a specific time or location for the event.

The appearance comes as Obama's health care plan is in jeopardy of falling apart. Republicans and some Democrats have criticized it as too expensive.

Obama is scheduled to hold a news conference Wednesday to further discuss his health care plan. (PD)

Cleveland Water Dept. will conduct Public Dog & Pony Show

After continual complaints of incompetence Cleveland Water Dept. (CWD) will conduct a series of meeting dealings with concerns and complaints of residents served by their over 6000 miles of waterlines.

This is nothing more than a typical Cuyahoga County Dog & Pony Show. Your complaints will be heard, you will be given a pat on the head and a promise they will institute change and everything will be OK - they will fix it. I wonder if that means they will fix it the same way they fo their waterlines that continually explode like popcorn at a Saturday night movie...

From the PD --

  • The problems came to light after The Plain Dealer began reporting on issues plaguing residents and business owners who use Cleveland water. The division is run by the city but serves 1.4 million people across Northeast Ohio.

The division, anxious to reach out to disgruntled residents, is holding 10 more customer service fairs over the next three weeks in response to a recent wave of complaints about spiked bills, malfunctioning meters, slow response to service requests and rude treatment by employees.

    Cleveland Division of Water meetings

  • Thursday: Estabrook Recreation Center, 4125 Fulton Road, Cleveland. 6-8 p.m.

  • Monday: Gemini Recreation Center, 21225 Lorain Road, Fairview Park. 6:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Tuesday Valley View Community Center, 6828 Hathaway Road, Valley View. 6-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, June 24: Dodge Intermediate School, 10225 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg. 7-9 p.m.

  • Thursday, June 25: Brook Park Recreation Center, 17400 Holland Road, Brook Park. 6-8 p.m.

  • Monday, June 29: Brunswick Municipal Center, 4095 Center Road, Brunswick. 6-8 p.m.

  • Tuesday, June 30: Mayfield Heights Recreation Center, 6154 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Heights. 6-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, July 1: Parma City Hall, 6611 Ridge Road, Parma. 6-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday, July 8: Middleburg Heights Community Center, 16000 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights. 6-8 p.m.

  • Thursday, July 9: Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building, 3450 Lee Road, Shaker Heights. 7-9 p.m.
I stand by my statement that if any of the so-called leaders of this area were truly sincere about reform or regionalizing - Cleveland Water Dept - would be at the top of their list! Nope they give us lip service and a free Dog & Pony Show.

National Day of Prayer May 7th Downtown Cleveland

My friend, Pastor John Baruth of the American Family Ministry sent me this on the upcoming National Day of Prayer...

National Day of Prayer May 7th Downtown Cleveland

May 7th at Cleveland City Council Chambers, Downtown on Lakeside Road 2nd Floor. 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM before the National Day of Prayer begins Downtown. We need all Prayer Warriors, Remnant, Elect of God to come there to pray for God's Favor, and to stay His judgement.

LGBT (Gays) are celebrating that same day because 1745-08/Domestic Registry is going into law that same day. How ironic. They will be praying and singing to their God. We know who, don't we? Just like Elijah we need to come against them in the name of Jesus Christ, The Victorious King.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Gather together in unity at 9:30 AM City Council Chambers on May 7th, Thursday.

FBI Spied on Tea Party Patriots

This great post on the Westlake 9/12 Glen Beck Meet Up Group forum section was pointed out to me by.... well, I'm afraid to say. Don't want them being followed by the keystone kops in black helicopters!
FBI spied on TEA Party Americans
Exclusive to the Northeast Intelligence Network & Canada Free Press

Douglas J. Hagmann, Director & Judi McLeod, Founding Editor, Canada Free Press

19 April 2009:

Even as average Americans were planning to get out in towns and cities to demonstrate against Big Government and Big Taxes, Federal Bureau of Intelligence Investigation (FBI) surveillance was being unleashed upon them. In fact, unsuspecting Tax Day TEA Party participants were being closely watched during the demonstration planning stages in a covert operation that began on or about March 23, 2009.

If you one of the estimated 750,000 Americans who attended one of about 600 TEA parties last week, you might have seen media cameras covering the event. Media cameras, however, were not the only cameras taking video at these events, something that has at least one current FBI agent concerned over the future of America. According to this agent - the same agent who provided the Northeast Intelligence Network (NEIN) exclusively the unreleased photographs of the 11 missing Egyptian students who were the subject of a FBI BOLO in August 2006–placed his concerns for true patriots of the U.S. over his own career when he confided that covert surveillance was “planned and performed” at each of the TEA parties that took place last Tuesday.

“Listen to what I am saying,” stated the source during an interview with Doug Hagmann, founder (NEIN). “The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic. This is what bothers me. But is goes far beyond that assessment. There have been very significant changes made over the last few years that redirect the focus and assets of the intelligence community internally. These changes have greatly accelerated under this administration, and the threats have been redefined to include those who used to be patriots. It’s not only chilling but absolutely insulting to God-fearing Americans.”

According to this unimpeachable source, a single-page confidential directive issued by the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC (FBIHQ) was sent to each of the 56 field offices located across the United States on or about March 23, 2009, instructing the Special Agents in Charge (SACs) of those offices to verify the date, time and location of each TEA Party within their region and supply that information to FBI headquarters in Washington. The source stated this correspondence termed the TEA parties “political demonstrations,” and added that the dissemination of the directive was very tightly controlled. “Not all agents were privy to this correspondence,” stated the source, who compared the dissemination to an older “Do Not File”
classification.

In addition to obtaining or confirming the location and time of each “demonstration,” each field office was instructed to obtain or confirm the identity of the individual(s) involved in the actual planning and coordination of the event in each specific region, and include the local or regional Internet web site address, if any. The information collected by region was then reportedly sent to FBI Headquarters.

The source alleges that a second directive was issued on or about April 6, 2009 that reportedly instructed each SAC to coordinate and conduct, either at the field office level and/or with the appropriate resident agency, covert video surveillance and data collection of the participants of the TEA parties. Surveillance was to be performed from “discreet fixed or mobile positions” and was to be performed “independently and outside of the purview of local law enforcement.”

Although the level of detail collected from each operation is unclear, the information was reportedly submitted to Washington, where, “at the level of the National Security Branch (NSB), this information was to “include the office of the Directorate of Intelligence (DI), and integrated with a restricted access database, one that reportedly is accessible to only two agencies” [of the 14 agencies that comprise the U.S. intelligence community, according to the source.

“The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to ‘flag waving right-wingers’ is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.”

Training government-issued cameras on ordinary citizens, many of whom brought their children to an estimated 600 Tax Day TEA Parties is a page torn out of George Orwell’s 1984 and makes the term “God Bless America” more meaningful than ever.

The Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press expect the government’s denial of the surveillance of the TEA Parties to go viral as soon as this story is posted.

This is in line with Minister Totalitano's DHS report. If you have not signed the petition rejecting the DHS Right-wing Radical extremist report - click here - if you are interested.

Being the emcee and one of the organizers... as Senator Grendell said, I hope they spell my name right. The feeble-minded federal fools (Federal Bureau of Idiots) can try and do anything they want to me - I will enjoy playing with them. But, what upsets me most, other than the brown shirt goose stepping tactics being used against normal Americans exercising their rights, is that my fellow Cleveland Tea Party organizers and the 3000 people that attended, had nothing but goodness in their hearts. No ill will - just a love for our country!

So Mr. FBI Agent, let me let you in on a few things....

First -- Bite Me!

Second.... The Tea Party movement is now officially known as the Tea Party Patriots.

We will be having events on the 4th and many more to come - if you haven't yet, please sign up for our site. We will put you on the email list. And we're always looking for volunteers.

Furthermore, we are friendly and we don't smell... at the next event you can set your cameras up right next to the stage if you like. There is no need to hide, because we aren't.

We, the Tea Party Patriot's, and all other groups have no desire to start an armed resistance or overthrow our government - just nudge them on the right track and if necessary, give them a kick in the ass. It is only when they won't listen, that an awakened bunch of Americans will join in unity and exercise our right to free speech and have an active role in the political process - this means getting rid of the politicians that are not doing what is best for this country.

We are not extremists groups, racist, hate-mongers, etc.... we are Americans - the ones that sign your government check Mr. FBI. We will not create any "man-made" disasters, we wear no TNT laden suicide vests. Our weapons are an educated public and our founding documents.

For the record, I invite the FBI to contact the City of Cleveland Safety Director Marty Flask, Deputy Chief Green (Cleveland PD / Homeland Security Div.) and Detective King (no relation).

I was in constant contact with these individuals almost daily leading up to the event. WHY? For safety concerns brought on by the progressive liberals who were resorting to any tactics in order to disturb the rally. These above individuals can verify (and I'm sure the conversations were recorded) the intent and/or demeanor, not to mention the content of our many phone conversations. I challenge the FBI leaders to also include this in any files they may have created on the organizers or anyone who attended the Cleveland Tea Party.

I will again state... FBI leaders are more than welcome to attend events and become a Tea Party Patriot. I would also suggest joining a 9/12 group - they're great too!

The FBI or any other ABC government office can sharpen their crayons and scribble all the reports they want. It is estimated that there were over 850 Tea Parties across the United State on 4/15/09 and 1.2 million people attended and I am unaware of any violent incidents.

We had about 3000 people attend and handed out over 2000 flyer's at the Cleveland Tea Party, when we left Mall C, there was barely a scrap of paper on the ground.

We sure would make a poor bunch of radical extremists!

One last thing for the leaders of the FBI... Bite Me again!

Cleveland Tea Party - A Smashing Success

Now that I have caught up with my emails, sort of, I will post on one helluva a party. The Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party was a smashing success. Since the Tea Parties are about moving forward I will not bore you with the details leading up to it. I will say at times, having my chest hair waxed would have been more painful, but the Cleveland Tea Party Committee, Glynn, Betsy, Roger, Cynthia, pushed towards one goal - the Tea Party.

I'm not a sissy that wells up and cries, but I will tell you... looking out over that crowd of of over 2500 - 3000 Americans coming together - was just awe inspiring and almost breath taking. When Adena, CJ and Doc performed all 4 verses of the Star Spangled Banner - holy crap! You could not help but get a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye as the meaning of the Tea Party and for what our country stands overwhelmed you.

From our first speaker, Jess (USAF Retired) to our keynote - Bob Frantz, it was great. There was much concern, and rightfully so, that having an elected official, OH Senator Tim Grendell, and some with political backgrounds, Jim Trakas and Sandy O'Brien, would turn this into a political hackfest. I am glad to say, those concerns were quickly dispelled. Knowing what Tim, Sandy & Jim stand for, in my heart, I knew they would be embraced by the crowd - and boy were they! In case the feds in the crowd did not hear - Grendell is spelled with two L's.

Organized Opposition

In working closely with the Cleveland Police Dept, we were prepared for throngs of organized opposition and we did not have one guy. Ooops, let me re-phrase that - we had a guy who likes guys, young guys that is. Yep, as expected, like a guy in trench coat with a bag of candy lurking around a playground, Teen Tickling Timmy was there.

Even though he may often think about tea-bagging Premier Obamao's nuts, he was given a warm welcome at our Tea Party - but he didn't think so. The "sack sniggler" tried his him/her best at disrupting the Tea Party but actually turned into fodder for some of the respectable & peaceful attendees. Click here & read his version of events, (the comments are hilarious) then click here and read Scene Magazine's description of how Timmy tip-toed away...

A few minutes later, with Phillips standing near the curb, still with his flag, Russo pointed him out to the officer. “He just threw me out!” Russo stammered. “I did not,” Phillips replied. “He can be here if he wants.” And so the cop merely says, “Well, then, that’s the end of it,” gets back in his car and pulls away.

Russo throws his hands up, walks back into the gathering. “He was threatening me,” says Russo, “following me around and screaming about my criminal conviction.”

Aw. Maybe he shoulda called for a wahhhmbulance.
NOW, to answer the biggest question from the Cleveland Tea Party... Now what? The answer is we move forward. We take the friends, contacts and info gained and mover forward with not change, but respect & restoration... respect of our Founding Documents and restoration of the values & rights for which they stand.

The first thing "WE the People" do is, say hello to Janet Napolitano. Nippleheaded Napolitano has labeled, not only our soldiers, but anyone believing in the rights endeared upon us in our Founding Documents as radicals and candidates for right-wing extremism. This is in step with an overall propaganda program headed by the MSM in which the masses are dumbed down and those resisting the re-defining of our Constitution are labeled as extremists and radicals. (Can anyone say Nazi Germany, USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, etc...?)

Click here for more pics from the Cleveland Tea Party. Video & podcasts will be up soon. Please be sure to sign up and join us. Thanks to the volunteers (Barry too), those who donated, Bob Frantz & WTAM, all the speakers, Adena, CJ & Doc for the incredible musical performances and most importantly -- the thousands in attendance who helped make this possible.

In closing, I must respectfully dispute what some of our great speakers said at the event. The Tea Parties are a movement, not a revolution. While a revolution does describe something that keeps coming round and round, this sounds too much like a spinning wheel. We are done spinning our wheels! Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party Making a Splash

I would like to thank Mr. Wanger of the PD for writing about the Cleveland Tea Party that will be held on 4/15/09 at Mall C from 4-6pm, but I feel some clarification of our conversation and the event is required.

The Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party is part of the nationwide Tax Day Tea Parties. The American Family Association has joined the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party event, naming theirs “Taxed Enough Already.”

As explained to Mr. Wanger, the Tea Party protests are against wasteful spending at the federal level and taxes being placed upon, or that will be placed upon citizens – BECAUSE of the absolutely ridiculous spending we have recently seen. The Tea Party event is NOT being held because of local taxes, but because of outlandish, uncontrollable and wasteful spending at the federal & state levels that will ultimately be paid for with our taxes, be it federal, state or local.

I am confident many of our local Mayors could find a laundry list of a lot better things to do in their communities with the millions, billions & trillions being spent on protecting field mice, studying grape genetics or bailing out irresponsible businesses.

Furthermore, the people working together on the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party Protest are not part of or affiliated with any group. We are a group of citizens wishing to exercise our right to free speech as part of a nationwide movement. It was stressed numerous times that this event is a non-partisan event and, even though I am in the RPCC, and while they are aware of and support the event, they are not involved in the planning and/or staging of the event.

Some of the lefty bloggers have correctly pointed out that I am a member of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County. But they somehow missed that I am not above, be it locally, statewide or national, challenging our party leaders, poor candidates or feeble thoughts. A quick review of this blog will verify that.

You can pretty much say - I am not at the top of their Christmas card list and they would not shed a tear - if I was no longer involved. In fact, I'd best most would encourage it!

The location of Mall C was chosen first and foremost because of the available space. Originally planned for Public Square, due to the expected crowd we changed the location to minimize any negative impact it would cause on rush hour & pedestrian traffic. And yes, as pointed out in the article – Mall C will most likely be the location of the proposed MedMart, which will be funded by a sales tax forced on consumers in Cuyahoga County. But, it was repeatedly stressed numerous times throughout the conversation with Mr. Wanger, that this non-partisan event is being staged by private citizens – again, as a platform against WASTEFUL SPENDING.

Lastly, but surely not the least important, it was stressed that we were in the process of dealing with the City of Cleveland regarding the usage permit. That at this point in time we have requested that Mayor Jackson waive the $500 fee as a way of showing support for this event against wasteful spending. We are expecting to hear back from the City of Cleveland today on if they will allow us to pay the $100 fee or if they will forcefully impose a $500 fee on private citizens wanting to use public property.

I also requested that Mr. Wanger please note that the City of Cleveland (Special Events Dept.) has been highly professional, very friendly and more than accommodating in helping us private citizens wade through this process.

In closing, while we are again thankful for Mr. Wanger’s article, we would be remiss in not making the above clarifications and allowing this event to be portrayed as an event against Cleveland.

Upcoming Cleveland Tea Party Starting to Make News

The Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party being held in downtown Cleveland on 4/15/09 from 4pm-6pm is starting to take shape and is beginning to get headlines.

One of the initial coordinators, Debby, was recently interviewed by the Star Beacon in Ashtabula...

To protest the stimulus, Dalton is helping organize and promote a Tax Day Tea Party from 4 to 6 p.m. April 15 at the Cleveland Public Square. The nationwide tea party day is sponsored by conservative grass-roots organizations in 150 cities and 49 states. The event will coincide with the federal income-tax filing deadline, according to www.taxdayteaparty.com

While Dalton said she wishes the stimulus plan could be recalled, she said she is calling on lawmakers to be responsible with every tax dime.

“The stimulus has already happened, so at this point, we believe the solution is not to tax any further,” Dalton said. “We are asking liberal and conservative lawmakers to go over the budget with a fine-toothed comb. We are saying ‘OK, you guys in office, you are being watched.’

“We are telling the (lawmakers), ‘If you don’t have this figured out, we are voting you out in two years,’” she said.

For more information on the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party, call Dalton (440-415-5726) or Glen Urban (330-635-0141) or visit www.clevelandteaparty.webs.com.

I have been working closely with Debby & Glynn in organizing the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party and the response we are getting back is exciting and energizing. The Tea Party concept is growing very quickly and time is nearing. It is estimated that there will over 170 major cities across the US having a Tea Party. Growing from this, it is estimated that there will be 1000 Tea Party's in some smaller locations.

Hats off to a recent Tea Party hosted in Cincy, where over 2000 attended, but I believe the Cleveland Tax Day Tea Party can exceed that crowd. A recent Tea Party in Cleveland had a good crowd - this time we want to fill it like a Browns game (when they were good).

If you are tickled pink with joy over the lack of accountability on the insane spending in D.C. and especially Ohio, dont click this LINK - it will bring you to a bi-partisan movement spreading like wildfire across our country. It will bring you to a place where Americans from all walks of life who are sick and tired of continually being abused by reckless governement spending and ridiculous taxes.

If you are fed up and want to be part of history being made across the US, please join us in downtown Cleveland on 4/15/09 at 4:00pm. Click here to sign up for email alerts, event information, press releases and register for your free ticket to the event.

Cleveland Water Dept. - An Exercise in Incompetence

The Plain Dealer is again chronicling the abuse customers of Cleveland Water Dept must face when dealing with this unregulated utility affecting 1.5 million customers stretching to the far corners of four counties.

As you will see in the PD's list of reports outlining CWD's poor customer service and their practice of over-billing - getting an issue resolved with CWD is a complete exercise in futility.

So, our brainless area leaders continue discussing several meaningless "musical chair" types of reform and regionalism for saving this area- yet they refuse to discuss the one thing that is negatively affecting communities in four counties and 1.5 million users - Cleveland Water Department.

Ohio has a Record year for CCW Permits in 2008

While Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson is hell bent on taking away the rights of legal gun owners, Ohio Attorney General Dick Cordray just released the Ohio Concealed Handgun Law - 2009 Annual Report which shows a spike in demand for CCW licenses. Expecting attacks on our 2nd Amendment by the Obama administration, the spike in CCW permits and gun sales have a direct correlation with his election.

And guess what? All the screaming, crying, & there will be shoot-outs in the street if people are allowed to carry guns arguments were for naught. As predicted, the only people out there shootin' up the streets were the criminals - NOT the legal gun owners and CCW permit holders who were just acting in self-defense.

From Buckeye Firearms --
The Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray (D) has released the concealed handgun license (CHL) statistics for the fourth quarter of 2008 and the year-end report, Ohio Concealed Handgun Law - 2009 Annual Report. Just as we have seen a spike in demand for guns, we see a strong surge in concealed carry applications from people who want to carry a concealed weapon (CCW).

The fourth quarter has generally been a good quarter for licenses issued, but demand in the waning months of 2008 was stronger than anyone expected. The 10,668 regular licenses issued was an unprecedented 111% increase over the same period a year earlier. There were more licenses issued in the last three months of 2008 than the last quarter of 2006 and 2007 combined. It is also the highest demand for new licenses since the 3rd quarter of 2004, the first full quarter the CCW law was in effect.

Additionally, approximately 78% of expiring CHLs (5,476) were renewed in the fourth quarter. That means 265 people received a new license to carry a firearm every working day. New licenses averaged over 175 every business day – stronger demand than any quarter in the last 4 years!

In 2008, there were 33,864 regular licenses issued. That is a whopping 53% increase over last year, which was sharply up from the year prior. Issuances of Temporary Emergency Licenses (TELs) also doubled for the quarter, bringing the year to date total to 73 TELs issued. Adding in the renewals, Ohio's sheriffs issued 65,256 licenses to carry concealed handguns last year.

That number not only sets a new record, it shatters the old record of 45,562 licenses issued with a greater than 43 percent increase. While the prior record was only a partial year, it was also the first year the law was in effect. Typically the first year is the busiest time ever for issuances of concealed carry permits or licenses, due to the initial surge after a state passes the self-defense law. But there were even more licenses handed out per day last year in Ohio than the first year the concealed carry program was in effect....

RNC Chairman Michael Steele on Conservative Values & Conservative Cool-Aid Drinkers

I'm confused... but more on that later in the post.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele, in an interview with Mike Gallagher, has made it very clear, very, very clear on where the GOP stands on several of our core beliefs, especially that the institution of marriage is between one man and one woman...
Gallagher raised the question, "Is this a time when Republicans ought to consider some sort of alternative to redefining marriage and maybe in the road, down the road to civil unions. Do you favor civil unions?"

"No, no no. Why would we backslide on a core, founding value of this country? I mean this isn’t something that you just kind of like, 'Oh well, today I feel, you know, loosey-goosey on marriage,'" Steele said.

He continued, "I mean this is a foundational principle of this country. This is a foundational principle of organized society. This isn't something that in America we decided, 'Let's make it between a man and a woman, and oh, we changed our mind and make it between anyone and anyone.'"

"So no room even for a conversation about civil unions in your mind?" Gallagher asked.

"What’s the difference?"
Steele responded.
Exactly! There is no difference!

A civil union is nothing more than same-sex marriage with a Haloweeny costume on it. Not only is it like putting lipstick on a pig - but it's putting lipstick on someone/something that it does not belong.

And how does Chairman Steele feel about the cool-aid drinking Republicans like ORP Chairman Kevin DeWine who wants to hang out in the big tent and play hop-scotch with liberals and Democrats...

But he said he didn't need "to water down my values to have you be a part of my team."

"I'm here to tell you I know what our identity is," Steele said. "We're the conservative party in America."

"We believe in the right to life, the right to bear arms, to live our lives as God has ordained it, fiscal responsibility. I don't need the government to come in and redefine it for me."

If Chairman Steele is reaffirming our position on the defense of marriage as one of the main principals of our party - then I think it would only make sense that the State GOP & County GOP groups feel the same way. I believe this should also include that our state and county parties not only "saying" they believe in our principals - but standing strong in defending them.

And this leads to the point of this post and where I get confused...

Here in our wonderful little corner of America called Cuyahoga County several communities have enacted that lipstick wearing pig known as the Domestic Registry. Now icing up that slippery slope with frigid water from Lake Erie - the City of Cleveland will, without a vote of the residents, be enacting a Domestic Registry too. Cleveland's Domestic Registry, sponsored by Cleveland Clowncilman Joe Cimperman, is being used to promote the Gay Olympics & Gay Rodeo the City of Cleveland will be hoping to host.

For all the, "Are there any conservative leaders in Cuyahoga County Sparky's," it doesn't stop there! Nope - now Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson is again trying to outlaw your right to own and carry a firearm.

So if there are any conservative leaders or an active & effective GOP party in Cuyahoga County - where is the outcry against this full-frontal assault on our Constitution and our conservative values?

We can only hope that one day conservatives in this area will have a voice. But then - we can't be afraid to use it!
