Under investigation for "pay-to-play" allegations, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has withdrawn his name as a nominee for secretary of the commerce. That didn't take long. Change we can believe in is looking a lot like the last Democratic administration with their myriad ethical lapses.
It's a darn shame he had to withdraw from the confirmation process. It would have been good theater considering Sen. Byrd's declaration that Richardson would never get confirmed for another government job based on how he screwed up as Energy Secretary.Oh well, if we can't have Richardson giving up a governor seat maybe Obama can find another senator to appoint to the commerce job. At the current rate the Dems will have close to 30 seats to defend in 2010. More seats they have to defend the easier it will be to pick off the low hanging fruit (like Harry Reid).
So what does that say about Obama? It says a crook thinks he has integrity?!?! That's great!
But more importantly what does it say about Obama? What was the one flaw about him, continually pointed out on here? His proven track record of making poor character judgements (Rev. Wright, William Ayers, Tony Rezco, etc...).
We can only hope any other poor character judgements on Obama's part are exposed before his Cabinet appoinments are confirmed.
Geez, the guy isn't President yet and you're already sharpening the knives. Is this how the Loyal Opposition is going to behave? At least let him demonstrate incompetence in office, as Bush did, before starting the attack frenzy. These are historic times for America, so we ought to behave better, even in opposition.

ReplyDeleteIf you would take the time to read the post you would see that it IS about Obama's incompetence. Obama has a history of executing poor character judgment and his selection of Richardson is another example of this. Taking a step further, his Cabinet pick of Giethner is also proving to be ANOTHER poor judgement of character by Obama.
Why are these historic times? Obama is NOT MLK or he sure is hell not Lincoln. It is a disgrace to Lincoln's memory that a Democrat Prez is continually invoking his name and steps.

So I take it you have no problem about the campaign promises Obama has already broken.... looks like he is going to get a 4 yr honeymoon from you guys.
