President Barack Obama IGNORES Medal of Honor Recipients

President Barack "I Won" Obama sure is making a splash in his first few days. Now that he is our Commander-In-Chief, Barack will be in charge of our military. While our troops are highly trained professionals and will follow orders from their Commander-In-Chief, in order for this to be a good working relationship, Obama must win their respect and trust.

The highest honor any soldier can be awarded is the Medal of Honor. Most often, this award is given post humously. Any living Medal of Honor recipient is like a walking God. The highest ranking military officers even salute a Medal of Honor winner. So one would only think our newly elected President would hold these American heroes in only the highest esteem - right? Nope!

The pompous, egotistical, socialist suck-ass now polluting the White House feels he is above or soldiers and refused to honor our living Medal of Honor recipients on Inauguration Day.

H/T to Alo Konson at Brain Shavings
For the last 56 years, every President has made a point of attending the Salute To Heroes Inaugural Ball, which recognizes and celebrates recipients of the Medal of Honor. A bit of background:

The American Legion sponsors the ball, which recognizes recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military award. It started in 1953 for President Dwight D. Eisenhower's first inauguration.

Event co-sponsors include 13 other veterans service organizations, among them the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Every four years Eisenhower's successors followed suit: John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.

But yesterday, Barack Obama blew off 48 living recipients of the Medal of Honor who attended yesterday's Salute To Heroes Inaugural Ball. He had more important things to do.

Jerk.

  1. He seems to be a guy that doesn't believe in War , he did state that he feels the war in Iraq was a mistake, and everyone knows it truly was there is no reason whatsoever why ' BUSH' should have attacked a innocent country that never was a threat to us in the first place. Although I do believe those men should be honored, but why honor a lie ? Those soldiers were lied to as the rest of the world was by Bush's false accusations and his revenge with Saddam Hussein. Perhaps he's starting a new tradition in America, one that doesn't reward killing and destruction.

  2. To the Feb 25th poster:

Do you realize the Medal of Honor Ball (which this blog post is about) honors those from every war not just the Iraqi War? So excuses for Obama don't hold any credibility. Even if it did how would being disrespectful to the people who risked their lives to save others show anything positive? What an ignorant statement...

  3. There are no recipients of the Medal of Honor from the latest Iraq or Afghanistan conflicts that are alive, there have only been 4 and all have been posthumanously. I guess those WW2, Korea and Nam MoH recipients are evil imperialist war types as well?

So we learned something about our president we should have known already, he's a self-oriented a-hole.
