Another Unprecedented Presidential First

Wow, what a year of presidential firsts!

In what can 'really' be considered an unprecedented presidential first, President Barack "Mo' Money" Obama set the unprecedented unprecedent of dwarfing the spending amounts of all other first year presidents. !

Keeping a campaign promise of doing better than George Bush, and knowing that bar was set so low a midget would trip over it, President O-break-the-bank not only out did Bush in spending dring his first year -- he outspent him 2-1!

From Fox News --

In fiscal 2009 the federal government spent $3.52 trillion -- $2.8 trillion in 2000 dollars, which sets a benchmark for comparison. That fiscal year covered the last three-and-a-half months of George W. Bush's term and the first eight-and-a-half months of Obama's.

That price tag came with a $1.4 trillion deficit, nearly $1 trillion more than last year. The overall budget was about a half-trillion more than Bush's for 2008, his final full fiscal year in office.

That's a big increase. But compared with other presidents' first years in office, Obama is running circles around them. More....
Another unprecedented presidential first for the anals of history!

The ONLY Ohio stop for the Tea Party Patriots "Farm Relief & Freedom Relay"

Tea Party Patriots

HAD ENOUGH OF CRUSHING ECO-REGULATION?
JOIN THE CROSS-COUNTRY RELAY TO SUPPORT THE EMBATTLED FARMERS AND COMMUNITIES OF THE CENTRAL VALLEY.

In actions that can only be described as lacking the most basic humanity, the U.S. Congress has turned off the water to Central Valley farmers, leaving their land dry, their fields fallow, and their dreams and ambitions scattered in the dust. Tens of thousands are unemployed and waiting in food lines because of the federal government, proving once again that the government is the problem, not the solution.

The Tea Party Patriots National Organization will hit 50 cities in just 14 days, holding rallies in each city.

THE MANSFIELD TEA PARTY will host the only stop in Ohio!
  • When: Thursday Nov. 12, 2009
  • Where: Berean Baptist Church
  • Address: 2145 Middle-Bellville Rd Mansfield, Ohio 44903
  • Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m

Please join us as we discuss the impacts of national (Cap and Trade), and local (Central Valley, California) environmental regulation and legislation.

With our Great Lakes under constant threat, we here in OH should share a special interest in this government take over of water. With the passing of Issue 2 in OH, we will now have the State government dictating to our livestock farmers, do we want to also let them take over our water supply?

We are asking for gift cards or cash donations to help the Central Valley families through the holiday season. For more information go to http://mansfieldteaparty.com or www.Teapartypatriots.org, or call Marianne Gasiecki at (419) 961-4439

Click Here for more info on the plight of these poor farmers in The Valley Hope Forgot and what else you can do to help. You can RSVP on the Face Book Link here.

Here is a clip from The Hannity Show about the Central Valley Farmers and how it will affect us here at home....

China warns President "Spend-it-all Sparky" about growing U.S. Deficit

The Big Egg Roll in China has told the Bid Egg Head running our country to put the U.S.A. Credit Card away and relax with the spending us into oblivion.

It's almost like the kid in the grocery store being told by his parents, "I said no more, now put that candy bar back!"

From Yahoo Finance --
As President Barack Obama prepares to depart Thursday for his first Asia trip, Chinese premier Wen Jiabao is urging the U.S. to keep its deficit to an "appropriate size," a clear message to the leader of the world's largest debtor nation from its largest creditor.

China is the largest holder of U.S. government debt and has invested an estimated 70% of its more than $2 trillion stockpile of foreign-exchange reserves (the world's largest) in dollar assets, Reuters reports. Further dollar weakness, brought on by enormous U.S. deficit spending and near-zero interest rates, would erode the value of China's huge U.S. holdings, as Henry and Aaron discuss in the accompanying clip. Cap & Trade will increase OH jobs?

I was never one to put too much in studies. Anyone can create, conduct or fabricate a study so the end results are to their benefit or the the desires of the people paying them to conduct the study.

(Cuyahoga County residents -- Remember the Greater Cleveland PArtnership did a study telling us the Med Mart should go on Sam Miller's swampland?)

This below study that claims that Cap & Trade will create jobs in OH and through magical math eventually increase household income...
The more a congressional climate-change bill cracks down on greenhouse-gas emissions, the better the long-term prospects for Ohio's economy, according to a report yesterday by renewable-energy business advocates.

Ohio would gain up to 61,000 jobs by 2020 and see its economy grow by $3.7 billion if a stringent climate-change bill becomes law, says the report released by the Ohio Business Council for a Clean Economy.

There would be some short-term increases to Ohio's energy costs, acknowledged Eric Zimmer of Tipping Point Renewable Energy, one of the businesses that released the study and a member of the clean economy council.

But a strict carbon cap would soon lead to energy-efficiency savings and alternative energy innovation, and by 2020 the average household income would increase by $992, in 2008 dollars, the study says. (Columbus Dispatch)

Without even getting into the argument of how many OH coal workers this will put out of work, what good does the 2008 dollar value do for us in 2020? The way the economy is going the U.S. dollar will problably not even exist in 2020.

Chairman Obamao gets a $2 Billion Bail Out

Chairman Obamao's latest billion dollar boner or better known as Cash for Clunkers, is nothing more than an advertising bid for the "Government Run Auto Industry" he has created....
Obama has encouraged Congress to approve the consumer incentives for new car purchases as part of the government's efforts to restructure General Motors Corp. and Chrysler Group LLC. The bill provides $1 billion for the program from July through November. (Boston Globe)

So far the Ford Focus, made by the responsible auto maker that was not taken over by the government, has been the leading seller.

The original funding for this program, $1 Billion, was crafted using Obamao's ever famous Kenyan-based math techniques of counting pieces of dried cow dung. As we now see, this too is shaping up to be just another one of his Utopian, economy saving math failures. This afternoon, once again dipping into the American cookie jar, the Senate coughed up $2 billion more to bail out another one of Chairman Obamao's plans...

Congress approved a "cash for clunkers" program Thursday to provide government incentives of $3,500 to $4,500 to motorists who trade in their gas guzzlers for more fuel efficient vehicles after Senate Democrats narrowly defeated a Republican effort to kill the plan.

Senate supporters of the program overcame a procedural hurdle by the plan's leading opponent, Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., on a 60-36 vote, winning the minimum number of votes needed to keep the program in a $106 billion war-spending plan that the Senate passed later Thursday. (WCCO)

I believe we are now up to our grandchildren that will be paying for all this rising debt. I'll bet after his push for socialized health care he claims won't cost us a dime.... our great, great grandchildren will be footing the bill.

Combining his Kenyan math skills with the complete blundering ineptness in how this Chairman Obama devised program was run --- I bet you can't wait for the government to be holding your oxygen tube!

The Pope wants a New World Order

It appears the #3 holy dude, The Pope, (God & Jesus are #1 & #2) has either been bought off by the progressive left or has just simply lost his mind!

While I agree with some of what the Pope said, that businesses need to be modeled, "with common good by prioritizing ethics and social responsibility over dividend returns." I believe these are very important for businesses. However, the Holy Honcho then goes off the deep end and issued an encyclical, “Charity in Truth,” declaring what sounds like he is endorsing more world wide welfare, a global currency & a new world order...
In the third encyclical of his pontificate, Benedict pressed for reform of the United Nations and international economic and financial institutions to give poorer countries more of a say in international policy.

“There is urgent need (for) a true world political authority” that can manage the global economy, guarantee the environment is protected, ensure world peace and bring about food security for the poor,
he wrote.

The Pope continues on with his babbling spouting about a larger unionized work force, that capitalism endangers the rights & jobs of workers, global warming, increasing educational funding and opportunities and reducing energy consumption. Can someone say "Illuminati?"

Now, before the holy rollers tell me I am going to hell - I already know. I was raised Catholic, and I have a strong belief in God and Jesus Christ. Even though I still look at myself as catholic - I refuse to go by some of their over reaching stupidity. Yes, the church can and does do some stupid things... and this would be considered one of them!

The unions, out growing their purpose, have cost millions of jobs to be lost, capitalism ensures the rights and decent pay for workers / along with creating job opportunities, global warming has yet to be proven as fact, the more money we spend on education & coddling - the dumber & more liberal our kids get and windmills can't power the world -- even with his & Obama's hot air!

Now I'm going to confession!

Premier Obamao & Skipper Hugo -- Two Peas in a Socialist Pod

Obama's book club buddy, Hugo Chavez, is taking over another bank - this time the third largest in Venezuela....
President Hugo Chavez’s government assumed control of Venezuela’s third-largest bank on Friday — making the state the largest player in the nation’s banking system.

The purchase of the Spanish-owned Banco de Venezuela gives Chavez’s socialist government control over more than one-fifth of bank deposits as he tightens his grip over the economy.

The acquisition will “strengthen the public banking system,” which favors sectors including agriculture, energy, housing and tourism, Finance Minister Ali Rodriguez said in a statement.

Combined with other state banks, the government will now control about 21 percent of deposits and 16 percent of loans, a payroll of 15,000 employees and 651 bank branches.

Like the rest of the economy, Venezuela’s banking sector is already highly regulated, with the government dictating interest rates and commissions. (Taragana)

The government dictating interest rates and commissions.... sounds familiar huh? No? Maybe the FDIC spending $314.3 million in taking over 7 MORE failed banks will change your mind.

Did you ever think our headlines would mirror the socialist country of Venezuela's?

Biden; "We made a Boner with the Stimulus"

Now here's a real surprise.... Biden & Barack made a mistake on the economy!
Biden, in an interview airing Sunday on ABC's "This Week," said the nation's 9.5 percent unemployment rate is "much too high."

"The figures we worked off of in January were the consensus figures and most of the blue chip indexes out there," Biden said.

"We misread how bad the economy was, but we are now only about 120 days into the recovery package," Biden added. More jobs will be created in coming months, he said. (Breitbart)

I swear I remember all the smarty pants suit & tie know-it-alls running this country predicting an immediate doomsday if the "stimulate this" package was not passed. Like many of us "normal" people predicted and as we now see, its' passing was nothing more than a heat bubble out of the ass of America!

An Easily Understandable Explanation of Derivative Markets

Below has to be one of the best explanations of how & why the markets tanked and of where we are at today. For those that have heard me say our economy is nothing more than a pyramid scam - now you will see why.

The following was sent to me from a fireman friend of mine...

From The Patriot Post --

Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit. She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar. To solve this problem, she comes up with new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later. She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans).

Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi's bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit.

By providing her customers' freedom from immediate payment demands, Heidi gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most consumed beverages. Consequently, Heidi's gross sales volume increases massively.

A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Heidi's borrowing limit. He sees no reason for any undue concern, since he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral.

At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert traders transform these customer loans into DRINKBONDS, ALKIBONDS and PUKEBONDS. These securities are then bundled and traded on international security markets. Naive investors don't really understand that the securities being sold to them as AAA secured bonds are really the debts of unemployed alcoholics.

Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb, and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation's leading brokerage houses.

One day, even though the bond prices are still climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi's bar. He so informs Heidi.

Heidi then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons, but being unemployed alcoholics they cannot pay back their drinking debts. Since, Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and the eleven employees lose their jobs.

Overnight, DRINKBONDS, ALKIBONDS and PUKEBONDS drop in price by 90%. The collapsed bond asset value destroys the banks liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community.

The suppliers of Heidi's bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms' pension funds in the various BOND securities. They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds. Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.

Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multi-billion dollar no-strings attached cash infusion from the Government. The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, non-drinkers.

Now, do you understand?

Steaming Load Award #1: Messiah Barry insults our intelligence

From Politically Incorrect Gazette --
Steaming Load Award #1: Messiah Barry insults our intelligence with a microscope .0029% budget cut, a mere 1/35,000th of his proposed $3.5 trillion dollar 2010 spend-a-thon.

Playing to the cameras, Messiah Barry had the Broadcast Blowjob Brigade slobbering all over themselves. The Tingler, Chris Matthews, was so enthralled, that he pleaded for the honor of having the Marxist Messiah’s baby. Why all the fuss? Messiah Barry ordered his cabinet to lop an impressive sounding, but comparatively underwhelming, $100 million from their budgets in 90 days. Impressive? Hardly, because he isn’t talking about $100 million for each department. He’s talking about $100 million for all the departments COMBINED. That’s not impressive, it’s insulting.

One Elephant Clan Senator noted that $100 million is the DAILY interest payment on the $730 billion dollar porkulus bill.

On his blog, Greg Mankiw - he’s a professor of economics at Harvard University - put this empty gesture into its proper perspective with this prose:
Just to be clear: $100 million represents .0029 percent of $3.5 trillion.

To put those numbers in perspective, imagine that the head of a household with annual spending of $100,000 called everyone in the family together to deal with a $34,000 budget shortfall. How much would he or she announce that spending had be cut? By $3 over the course of the year--approximately the cost of one latte at Starbucks. The other $33,997? We can put that on the family credit card and worry about it next year.

If Barry wants to impress John Q. Public with his fiscal discipline, he can start much closer to home, by cutting down on the Red Shed’s lavish spending. That means no more $100 a pound steaks. That means buying a Domino’s Pizza, instead of spending a pile of taxpayer money to FLY IN some pizza wranglers from St. Louis. It also means signing up with Netflix, instead of paying super groups to do a special gig at the Red Shed. Finally, it means Michelle Obama finds her frocks on the bargain rack at K-Mart, Target, Sears or Penny's.

This is another of Messiah Barry’s empty gestures, one which tries to do the impossible: Make this steaming pile of Dumbo-eared turds appear to be legitimately PRESIDENTIAL. The sooner we flush the fool, the better.

More MSM Propaganda - Americans are Happy with Socialist Direction

For a long time it has been a known fact the MSM cannot be trusted to report accurate, unbiased news. For those involved with politics, we know a poll is only a snapshot in time, that depending on how the questions are asked and the poll participants- directly effects the outcome of the poll.

So take a skewed poll and feed it to the MSM and the propaganda takes shape...

For the first time in years, more Americans than not say the country is headed in the right direction, a sign that Barack Obama has used the first 100 days of his presidency to lift the public's mood and inspire hopes for a brighter future.

Intensely worried about their personal finances and medical expenses, Americans nonetheless appear realistic about the time Obama might need to turn things around, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll. It shows most Americans consider their new president to be a strong, ethical and empathetic leader who is working to change Washington. (Yahoo)

Let me offer some info that will put this propaganda poll in perspective... the general public is far from agreeing with the direction of our country!

A Rasmussen poll indicates, not changing from last week, (37%) of likely voters say the nation is heading in the right direction, and 57% think the nation is heading in the wrong direction.

In another Rasmussen poll, it states that 80 % of the poll participants believe the out of control spending and the federal debt will bankrupt the future of our country. It further stated Premier Obamao's socialist policies and the 90 degree left turn he is taking our country has not earned him the highest of praise and has drawn mixed reviews.

On Tax Day (4/15/09) over 1.2 million Americans attended Tea Parties in over 850 locations across the US. In recent Rasmussen polls, over 51% of Americans agreed with the Tea Party movement as a way of speaking out against the feckless fools opening our pocket books and the direction our country is being led. Furthermore, approximately 32% of the country stated they would attend future Tea party events.

The other bright spot in the Rasmussen Poll is that the poltically elite are also upset about the new wave of Americans wanting to get involved. A more accurate term would be that they are scared. Scared... scared that they will soon be out of a job!

So where is the majority of the people that agree with the direction our country is taking?

President Pimp Daddy now Bailing Out the World

It has been difficult getting back into the swing of blogging again after taking a break while I helped with the Cleveland Tea Party. But this story proves why the movement of these Tea Parties is so important.

Our investment with little or no return – the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank is facing a financial crisis. The IMF is reporting they will be facing a projected loss of $4.1 Trillion. The IMF mainly exists to serve as an international welfare department for under developed or developing countries.

Now sit down – this next part will surely come as a shock... guess who the IMF is blaming for the largest portion of these predicted losses? The USA of course! It is being reported that $2.7 trillion is from loans and assets originating in the United States.

How does this get fixed? An international bail out of course! At a recent meeting, President Print Me Some Mo’ Money, joined other leaders in pledging over $1 Trillion to help save what should be called the World Welfare Fund.

Analysts said the $1.1 trillion sum assumed huge contributions by the United States, China and other countries, which may or may not come through. It also counts some contributions more than once, and it counts some in the form of a synthetic I.M.F. currency that is not hard cash. (NYT)

Not happy with bailing out banks or the auto industry, and since he has fixed the financial woes of the United States, President Pimp Daddy, now wants to get in the business of bailing out countries....

Among European countries, the fund has already agreed to more than $55 billion in loans to Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Iceland, Ukraine, Belarus and Latvia. More may yet need to be bailed out.

On Tuesday, Colombia became the second Latin American country to seek aid, requesting $10.4 billion. Last Friday, the fund approved a $47 billion line of credit for Mexico, making it the first country to qualify for a loan from a program that extends credit to emerging economies that are considered well managed. Poland also said this week that it would seek a $20.5 billion credit line under that program.

For all you Obamatron's -- is this the change you voted for? As you have probably heard and as you can see from the above, the only "change" Americans will be getting is mixed up with the lint in our pockets!

Five Bad Ideas: Lessons from a Tea Party

Reposted from American Issues Project --
(I added the bullet points between the issues )

Five Bad Ideas: Lessons from a Tea Party
March 17th, 2009 by: Justin Higgins

Congressman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, spoke at the tea party rally in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend to a crowd of about 200. He specifically outlined the problems with this current Congress and their destructive economic policies. He focused on five things that he believes are going to be the nails in the coffin of American supremacy in the global marketplace.

“To do any one of these things at any time is a bad idea. To attempt to do one of them during a recession is even worse. But to attempt to do all five during a recession is crazy, and yet that’s what your federal government is getting ready to do,” Jordan said, before outlining the following issues:

  • Increase Taxes (“The Obama budget has the largest tax increase in history.”)

  • Spending (“They’re going to continue to spend at unprecedented rates. The budget the administration has submitted to Congress will double the national debt in 8 years. We’re going to run the ten largest deficits over the next ten years.”)

  • Further Unionize the Workforce (They’re going to attack the secret ballot with card check legislation.)

  • Government-run Health Care (They want to implement a plan “where the government decides which type of health care you’re going to get and when you’re going to get it.”)

  • Cap-and-Trade (“This is, in my view, the worst. Putting limits on the amount of energy we can have in our economy. Putting restrictions in a unilateral. Think about this: we’re competing in a world market. Our competitors in the international marketplace, China and India, they’re not going to have the restrictions placed on what kinds of energy they can use. That is going to be a tax increase on every single small business owner and every single family.”)

Jordan then went on to say:

We know what works. … We know that keeping taxes low works, we know that controlling spending, not mortgaging our kids and grandkids’ future works. We know that allowing workers the decision of whether they’re going to form a union or not is the right thing to do, not taking away one of their fundamental rights to a secret ballot. And we know that decisions made between you and your doctor and your family is the best way to do health care. And finally, we understand that using the natural resources we have in this country to meet our own energy needs is the right way to go, not limiting what we can put in the environment and what we can use in energy.

Jordan spoke about his colleague in Congress Mike Pence and conservatism in general, advising that–like the Indiana congressman–we need to send the message to our neighbors and our government with a smile on our face.

A follow-up rally in Columbus is tentatively planned for 6:00 p.m. on April 15, 2009.

Justin Higgins is a student at Ohio State University and the proprietor of the blog Shots on the House.

Ohio Senawhore Sherrod Brown supported AIG Bonuses

It is incredulous that the posturing politicians on the left, who have all stated they read the stimulus bill and castigated Republicans coming out against the Stimulus as not reading the bill, are now crying foul over their own Premier Obamao pushed bill...
While the Senate was constructing the $787 billion stimulus last month, Dodd added an executive-compensation restriction to the bill. The provision, now called “the Dodd Amendment” by the Obama Administration provides an “exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009” -- which exempts the very AIG bonuses Dodd and others are now seeking to tax. (Fox News)

Across the board residents of Ohio, and the United States are livid over the bonuses being paid out by AIG. Unable to keep the bonuses a secret, the Democrats are now coming out in force against the bonus provisions that they not only supported but pushed for. Guess who we have to thank for casting the deciding vote to protect the AIG bonuses - Ohio Senawhore Sherrod Brown!

H/T to Porkopolis
Brown: AIG Bonus Payments Are Slap-In-the-Face to Hardworking Ohioans
March 17, 2009

WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Chairman of the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy, today called on American International Group (AIG) Chairman and CEO Edward Liddy to immediately renegotiate contacts to prevent $165 million in bonus payments to AIG executives.

“AIG’s actions are a slap-in-the-face to hardworking Ohio families,” said Brown. “Bonuses at companies like AIG—companies relying on taxpayer funds to stay afloat—are an outrage. I hope AIG executives voluntarily
return these bonuses. If they don’t, I will push to have them recouped through the U.S. tax code.”...

Yep...the same Senator that was shuttled back to Washington D.C. by Obama on a White House provided plane to cast the deciding vote on the Spending Stimulus
Bill
.

What's that you ask?...What does the Stimulus Bill have to do with the AIG "slap-in-the-face" bonus payments? It was Brown's vote that put into law the provision guaranteeing the payments (HT:
ButAsForMe) (emphasis added):

`SEC. 111. EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION AND CORPORATE GOVERNANCE...

...`(iii) The prohibition required under clause (i) shall not be construed to prohibit any bonus payment required to be paid pursuant to a written employment contract executed on or before February 11, 2009, as such
valid employment contracts are determined by the Secretary or the designee of the Secretary...

Great post by Porkopolis!

As Ohioans are already upset over our high taxes, I cannot believe Brown would have supported these golden parachute bonuses paid for with our tax dollars. With hypocrites like Brown in office, there is no wonder why residents of Ohio have expressed a distrust in our elected officials.

Newt Gingrich to Co-Sponsor Tea Parties
Gingrich Throws His Name in the Ring

While the Tax Day Tea Parties have been taking the nation by storm, Newt Gingrich has decided to step up to the plate. In a video released today, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vKr95e5aIE, Gingrich shows his support with his own message. The Tax Day Tea Parties hosted by the DontGo Movement, TCOT, and Smart Girl Politics will occur around the country on April 15. Presently Michelle Malkin, Dana Loesch, GOPUSA, and Newt Gingrich are sponsoring the movements.

Gingrich says, "Just as the Contract with America brought an end to Democrat control of the House of Representatives in 1994, I see the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition as the vehicle by which conservative activists can bring about the end of Democrat control of the House of Representatives in 2010."

National Communications Director Juliana Johnson states, "This is a major turn for the Tea Parties. Newt Gingrich becoming a part of this is confirming to all of us that the Tea Parties are indeed being heard around the country and that the movement will continue to grow and grow."

The Tax Day Tea Parties were a result of Rick Santelli's call to arms for Republicans with the first batch occurring on February 27th with thousands of activists showing up in over 20 states across the country. The April 15th Tea Parties are expected to attract tens of thousands of people in over 140 cities.

AIG still handing out Millions in Bonuses

We're gettin' bent over by AIG again! No kiss, no pat on the head and I bet they won't cuddle with us when their done. But, if we smile - they'll promise not to do it again...

From Breitbart --

American International Group is paying out millions of dollars in executive bonuses to meet a Sunday deadline. But the troubled insurance giant has agreed to administration demands to restrain future payments.

The Treasury Department determined that the government did not have the legal authority to block the current payments by the company that has already received more than $170 billion in U.S. support.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has asked that the company scale back future bonus payments where legally possible, an administration official said Saturday.
Afraid of legal disputes over contract obligations, AIG feels they must do the right thing and honor paying $ million in bonuses from previous contracts. Plus they want to keep & be able to hire top quality employees...

Liddy said in his letter that "quite frankly, AIG's hands are tied" although he said that in light of the company's current situation he found it "distasteful and difficult" to recommend going forward with the payments.

In his letter, Liddy told Geithner, "We believe there will be considerably greater flexibility to reduce contractual payments in respect of 2009 and AIG intends to use its best efforts to do so."

"We cannot attract and retain the best and brightest talent to lead and staff the
AIG businesses, which are now being operated principally on behalf of the American taxpayers—if employees believe their compensation is subject to continued and arbitrary adjustment by the U.S. Treasury," Liddy said.

Sounds like they don't even respect us in the morning either. With 'change' like this, we won't have enough change to buy ass cream for all these reamings!

Another Cleveland Tea Party!

A growing number of Obama supporters have told me that what he is doing - is NOT the change they voted for. I continually hear, "I don't mind helping out someone down on their luck - but I do not want to support them forever."

Are you tired of the corporate welfare called bailouts being funded by your hard work? Are you happy that while you were bringing your lunch to work and saving pennies, your hard earned dollars will be bailing out people that thumbed their noses at your sacrifices and are served by butlers and driven by limo drivers while they drink their tea?

Are you happy that as you wait for your unemployment check, that will be gone as soon as you get it, our legislators are spending over $7 billion dollars for 9000 earmarks of unnecessary pet projects that will bring minimal if any jobs?

How does it make you feel that while you're out of work, starving, ready to have your utilities shut off and get thrown out of your house ~ our legislators would rather spend millions of your hard earned dollars on saving a field mouse and $1.7 million for pig odor research to name a few? The D.C. purveyors of pork need only smell themselves to find out where the stench is coming from!

Are you fed up with being fed up? If you are, here is your chance and now is the time to be part of something very special, fast growing movement sure to go down in history.

A little over a couple hundred years ago some special people in our country became very upset about taxation without representation and did something about it. Well, we are again facing a growing resentment, and again, some special people are doing something about it by having a Nationwide Tea Party in cities across America....

You got it Skippy - another Cleveland Tea Party and this one will be held on TAX DAY!

Other cities in OH - Canton, Cincy, & Dayton - will also be hosting events on the same day in conjunction with the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

While we hope that all the event locations are a smashing success, I think the heart of Ohio - Cleveland - needs to blow the doors off this thing! We need to fill this event with the energy of the Dawg Pound and really show the others how to be heard.

You can show your support & voice your opinion at the Cleveland Tea Party website, where there are forums, up to date news releases many useful links, a blog page for your own posts and/or you can volunteer to help.

Preserving the Legacy of a Murderer with Taxpayer Dollars - The Senator Ted Kennedy Institute

Again I'm posting on Premier Obamao's pork-filled Omnibus Bill that was meant to keep government running. Trying to pass this off as wrapping up loose ends from Bush's last year, Barack disingenuously sits there and acts as if the democrats and his administration had no part of this bill. Barack gives the impression that he had no choice but to sign this bill - again - to keep government running.

So I ask... Is spending $32.8 Million in the name of the Kennedy's necessary to run the government?
More than one out of every five dollars of the $126 million Massachusetts is receiving in earmarks from a $410 billion federal spending package is going to help preserve the legacy of the Kennedys.

The bill includes $5.8 million for the planning and design of a building to house a new Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate. The funding may also help support an endowment for the institute.

The bill also includes $22 million to expand facilities at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum and $5 million more for a new gateway to the Boston Harbor Islands on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, a park system in downtown Boston named after Kennedy's mother and built on land opened up by the Big Dig highway project. (Yahoo)

Isn't that nice? Pete Rose can't get into the Baseball Hall of Fame because of gambling and then lying about it - but Senator Ted the Drunk Kennedy killed a woman, left her to die and lied about it will have an institute built for him with taxpayer dollars. This institute will then serve as a propaganda facility for indoctrinating incoming Democrat senators.

The only thing we should be giving Ted Kennedy is a glass to pour what's left of his grey matter in after his brain cancer gets done with him!

More Wasteful Pork Spending in Ohio

I sit here just completely amazed. After we were just force fed a pork-filled stimulus bill fraudulently put forward as a way to get unemployed Americans working, the House is sending the Senate a $410 billion pork-filled platter of a spending bill under the guise of keeping the government running.

The group, Taxpayers for Common Sense, is in the process of going through this bill itemizing pork projects and has so far found 8,570 disclosed earmarks worth $7.7 billion. This would be the same omnibus bill that political propagandist Maureen Dowd slammed Obamao on and praised - guess who - John McCain!

Other than House minority leader, John Boehner from West Chester, who has decried this wasteful spending --
"The president campaigned against this type of wasteful spending and frankly, he ought to veto the bill," Boehner said at a Wednesday press luncheon. "If he's really serious about getting rid of wasteful Washington spending, this would be a great example."

...the politicians in OH have their greedy little mitts out. If this money was being spent on running government and putting people back to work I would have no problem with it. But, just like the Ohio Senate proposal for the first round of spending from stimulus funds that Ohio received, this money will be creating little or no jobs for Ohioans and will expend minimal dollars on the billions in infrastructure repairs needed in our state.

Here are some of the requests by elected officials in DC representing this area...

Sen. Sherrod Brown
  • $190,000 for the Children's Medical Center of Dayton's pediatric trauma unit and emergency center (also supported by Sen. George Voinovich and Rep. Michael Turner).

  • $190,000 to build a nursing school at the Middletown Regional Health System (also supported by Voinovich).

  • $466,000 for the Ohio-Israel Agriculture Initiative (also supported by Voinovich).

Sen. George Voinovich

  • $95,000 for cataloguing and preservation activities at the Columbus Museum of Art

  • $95,000 to help the Cleveland school district with technology upgrades to improve math, language and science proficiency (also supported by Brown).

  • $404,000 for facilities and equipment at Mercy Medical Center in Canton (also supported by Rep. Zack Space).

Rep. Marcy Kaptur

  • $122,821 for the Greater Toledo Arts Commission to market and develop support for local artists.

  • $2.192 million for greenhouse and hydroponic research complex at University of Toledo (also supported by Brown and Voinovich.
Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (deceased)
  • $381,000 for facilities and equipment for Hospice of the Western Reserve (also supported by Brown and Voinovich)

  • $190,000 for North East Ohio Neighborhood Health Services for facilities and equipment
Rep. Dennis Kucinich
  • $95,000 to the Cuyahoga County commissioners for a teacher training initiative (also supported by Voinovich).

  • $1.225 million for runway improvements at Cuyahoga County Airport (also supported by Voinovich).
I would love to hear the reasons of how some of the above programs will 'keep' our state running and would not be considered pork. Every single one of these above wish-list projects or programs can be cut as most, if not all, are not necessary spending at this time.

Kucinich's request for runway improvements is great - then we can fly people in to see the new water park on Euclid Ave when another Cleveland Water Dept line bursts. Then Voinovich can offer it as a new form of irrigation for his Ohio-Israel Agriculture Initiative.

Idiots!
