Health Care Protesters Arrested at Pelosi's Office

I bet after reading the title for this post your initial thoughts were Tea Party or 9.12 members were the ones arrested at House Babbler Ninny Pelosi's office - huh?

Nope... it was some of her own left-wing progressive korrectnik's that had to be removed from her office. I'm wondering if this will get them listed on DHS Minister Janet Totalitano's extremist watch list....

About a dozen people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after refusing to leave House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office on Seventh Street in San Francisco, the protesters and a Pelosi spokesman said.

The group had gathered to demand that Pelosi make a bigger push in Congress for single-payer health care, said Michael Lyon, a member of the Gray Panthers who participated.

Lyon said a few protesters were allowed to speak briefly with a Pelosi staffer Tuesday afternoon. At some point they were asked to leave and refused.

About 12 members of the group were arrested around 2:30 p.m. by the Federal Protective Service, which provides security at the building, Hammill said.

Is Ninny Pelosi in Bed with Lawyers on Health Care Reform?

It has pretty well been established by both sides (or at least we thought both sides) that some sort of tort reform on medical malpractice suits needs to be addressed in any discussion about fixing some of the problems with the health care problems in this country.

For obvious reasons, one being campaign donations, the left has done nothing towards addressing this problem in any of their versions of the so-called health care reform bills they are pushing.

In fact, in the latest 1,900 page House version, not only has Speaker Pelosi left out any tort reform, it appears the PVC Princess, or the Wicked Witch of the Left, is shilling for the trial lawyers.

Section 2531, entitled “Medical Liability Alternatives,” establishes an incentive program for states to adopt and implement alternatives to medical liability litigation. So, you can’t try to seek alternatives to lawsuits if you’ve actually done something to implement alternatives to lawsuits. Brilliant! The trial lawyers must be very happy today!

While there is debate over the details, it is clear that medical malpractive lawsuits have some impact on driving health care costs higher. There are likely a number of procedures that are done simply as a defense against future possible litigation. Recall this from the Washington Post:

“Lawmakers could save as much as $54 billion over the next decade by imposing an array of new limits on medical malpractice lawsuits, congressional budget analysts said today — a substantial sum that could help cover the cost of President Obama’s overhaul of the nation’s health system. New research shows that legal reforms would not only lower malpractice insurance premiums for medical providers, but would also spur providers to save money by ordering fewer tests and procedures aimed primarily at defending their decisions in court, Douglas Elmendorf, director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, wrote in a letter to Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).”

H.R. 3962, the "Affordable Health Care for America Act" has been introduced--all 1990 pages of it. This gargantuan beast contains thirteen new tax hikes. Here they all are, with description and page number (PDF version).

Employer Mandate Excise Tax (Page 275): If an employer does not pay 72.5 percent of a single employee’s health premium (65 percent of a family employee), the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8 percent of average wages. Small employers (measured by payroll size) have smaller payroll tax rates of 0 percent (<$500,000), 2 percent ($500,000-$585,000), 4 percent ($585,000-$670,000), and 6 percent ($670,000-$750,000).

Individual Mandate Surtax (Page 296): If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5 percent of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium. MAGI adds back in the foreign earned income exclusion and municipal bond interest.

Medicine Cabinet Tax (Page 324): Non-prescription medications would no longer be able to be purchased from health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). Insulin excepted.

Cap on FSAs (Page 325): FSAs would face an annual cap of $2500 (currently uncapped).

Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions (Page 326): Non-qualified distributions from HSAs would face an additional tax of 20 percent (current law is 10 percent). This disadvantages HSAs relative to other tax-free accounts (e.g. IRAs, 401(k)s, 529 plans, etc.)

Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D (Page 327): This would further erode private sector participation in delivery of Medicare services.

Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses (Page 336): Imposes an income surtax of 5.4 percent on MAGI over $500,000 ($1 million married filing jointly). MAGI adds back in the itemized deduction for margin loan interest. This would raise the top marginal tax rate in 2011 from 39.6 percent under current law to 45 percent—a new effective top rate.

Excise Tax on Medical Devices (Page 339): Imposes a new excise tax on medical device manufacturers equal to 2.5 percent of the wholesale price. It excludes retail sales and unspecified medical devices sold to the general public.

Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Page 344): Requires that 1099-MISC forms be issued to corporations as well as persons for trade or business payments. Current law limits to just persons for small business compliance complexity reasons. Also expands reporting to exchanges of property.

Delay in Worldwide Allocation of Interest (Page 345): Delays for nine years the worldwide allocation of interest, a corporate tax relief provision from the American Jobs Creation Act.

Limitation on Tax Treaty Benefits for Certain Payments (Page 346): Increases taxes on U.S. employers with overseas operations looking to avoid double taxation of earnings.

Codification of the “Economic Substance Doctrine” (Page 349): Empowers the IRS to disallow a perfectly legal tax deduction or other tax relief merely because the IRS deems that the motive of the taxpayer was not primarily business-related.

Application of “More Likely Than Not” Rule (Page 357): Publicly-traded partnerships and corporations with annual gross receipts in excess of $100 million have raised standards on penalties. If there is a tax underpayment by these taxpayers, they must be able to prove that the estimated tax paid would have more likely than not been sufficient to cover final tax liability.

Pelosi says deporting Illegal Immigrants is Un-American

Again we have another politician showing they are not only out of touch with reality, but out of touch with the general American public.

The violence along our border with Mexico is at an all time high and the U.S. National Guard Bureau said the link between terrorism and drug cartels along the United States' border with Mexico is increasingly clear, most Americans want our borders secured and illegal immigrants deported...

Republicans are more strongly in favor of surprise raids to catch and deport illegal immigrants. Seventy-five percent (75%) of GOP voters support such raids, along with 61% of Democrats and 65% of unaffiliated voters.

Keeping this threat against our country to a minimum means taking a pro-active approach on apprehending illegal immigrants through increasing border patrols, work place raids & general traffic stops.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently told a group of both legal and illegal immigrants and their families that enforcement of existing immigration laws, as currently practiced, is "un-American."

The speaker, condemning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, referred to the immigrants she was addressing as "very, very patriotic."

Eager to make the Demoncrats’ peace puke base punch a chad for them, she carved up our men and women in Iraq and threw that red meat to the peace punks.

“But they deserve better than the policy of a war without end, a war that could be 20 years or longer. And Secretary Gates just testified in the last 24 hours to Congress that this next year in Iraq and Afghanistan are going to cost $170 billion.

“Afghanistan is not settled because the president took his eye off the ball and took the full attention that should have been in Afghanistan, and shifted some of that to Iraq, a war without end, without a plan, without a reason to go in, without a plan to win, without a strategy to leave. Ninny Pelosi - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

USA Today did a story on the person every God-Fearing, flag loving, normal ("straight") American loves to hate - Botox Beast and Whiner of the House Ninny Pelosi.

The liner for a bird cage newspaper highlighted the year's events under her term as speaker. Most notably would be her many failures and that the plastic faced princess was unable to do the one thing she screeched she would do - bring our troops home from Iraq. Ninny and her dingle berry democrats were constantly working to pull the rug out from under our soldiers feet and undermine their successes in Iraq.

Refusing to accept the fact that the "surge" was working and the results would not come as fast as the polyvinyl pimpstress' facial injection's - she continued presenting legislation against our troops.

Pelosi said she will continue to push next year for withdrawing troops and improving the training and equipping of military units.

"The war, the war, the war — it eclipses everything that we do here," she said.

Furthermore, it should be noted that her promise to be, and work in a bi-partisan way flew out the window almost instantly. Many of the liberal loghead korrectnik's were thrilled spitless when the frozen faced San Fran Nan was named Speaker of the House. Many of these moronic misfits thought , Ninny, a person that stands for everything against which this country was founded on, would be the answer for their ills.....

In an AP poll in December 2006, 22% of respondents said they had a favorable impression of Pelosi and 22% said it was unfavorable. An AP poll last month found her favorability rating the same — 22% — but her unfavorability rating had jumped to 38%.

Though an ineffective Speaker, we can thank the future statue in the White House Rotunda for what will turn out to be a very enjoyable race in CA. (Don't worry people - a few more years & hopefully CA will fall into the ocean). To be fair, the fishwrap did note Pelosi did have some minuscule accomplishments. Though they did not mention anything about her questionable ethics. And as for what she tried to do and thank God was not successfull....

FAILURES

• Repeatedly passed legislation with Iraq troop deadlines through the House, but neither the Senate nor President Bush ever accepted it.

• Passed legislation expanding embryonic stem cell research, which also passed the Senate, but Bush vetoed it.

• Failed to reach compromise on adding $35 billion to a popular children's health insurance program after Bush vetoed two attempts. Congress finally passed an extension through March 2009.

• Despite hailing the energy bill as a success because of its fuel economy standards, Pelosi failed to get other priorities included, including a tax package that would have rolled back $13.5 billion in oil company tax breaks and funneled billions of dollars into tax incentives for renewable energy development and efficiency programs.

• Abandoned "pay as you go" pledge not to grow the deficit when House agreed to a one-year freeze on growth of the alternative minimum tax, but without finding $50 billion to pay for it.

So on this day of the New Year we can thank the republicans for slowing down this plastic wrapped politician!

Pelosi - "Gay Last Supper" not offensive to Christianity

The Folsom Street Fair, a taxpayer supported, Gay Celebration in none other than San Fagcisco has recreated their own version of the "Last Supper." As you can see in the above picture, Jesus and his Disciples are portrayed as a bunch of half-dressed, leather clad Village People perverts. The perv's replaced the wine & bread (a sign of Christ) with dildos and sex toys.

Scheduled for this Sunday, the Folsom Faggot Fair is sponsored by Miller Brewing Company, - security will be provided free of charge by the City of San Fagcisco and several city departments helped sponsor the event.

Organizers of the Fagfest, which is expected to draw in over 400,000 homo's from across the gay globe, describe the event as ..... "world-class volunteer driven leather events, providing the adult alternative lifestyle community safe venues for self-expression, emphasizing freedom, fun and frolic, while raising money to benefit San Francisco charities."

Some of the events and promotions at the fair will be put on by the - Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a homosexual group describing itself as "21st century nuns for the queer" that mocks Catholicism. The "Sisters' planned a "Last Supper" ......

"There is no better way to prepare your mortal flesh for the kinkiest weekend on Earth than to nourish your bones and boost your spirit with a divine feast: The Last Supper With The Sisters, at Eureka Restaurant ..."

Several groups, most notably - Concerned Women for America & The Catholic League have protested this event as a direct attack on Christianity. Miller Brewing Company had promised to pull their sponsorship from the event and they did.... from the Last Supper poster and NOT the Last Supper act to be performed by the above Sisters. (No More MGD for me!)

The groups have contacted the media, to no avail. Why no coverage? Because it is not an imaginary attack on Muslims, Fags, Chinks, Japs, Jews, Beaner or any other liberal group or cause. Could you imagine if the event was a Pro-Family, Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, Pro-American, Pro-Bush or Anti-Illegal Immigration, Anti-Muslim, etc... what type of coverage it would be getting? A few tasteless nooses hanging in a tree just got national media attention and this gets nothing!

The groups have also contacted Gov. Arnold Schwarzenazi, Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer along with everyone's favorite - House Speaker Ninny Pelosi and have asked them to speak out and condemn this attack on Christianity as they do on everything else.

Long known to support and influence policy of the demokrat party, muslim terrorist are starting to declare their support for Sheehan, the candidate that looks like a man in a wig.

One would have thought Ninny's tea with Assad would have assured a slam dunk in getting support from the terrorists, but it does not look that way....

It's Official - Sheehan vs. Pelosi

This is going to be so fun....

A tearful Cindy Sheehan cited her son, killed in Iraq, as her inspiration as she announced her candidacy Thursday for the U.S. House against Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

Sheehan last month said she intended to run against Pelosi, the House speaker, if the San Francisco congresswoman didn't move to impeach President Bush by July 23.

Sheehan said Thursday that Pelosi had "protected the status quo" of the corporate elite and had lost touch with people in her district, More....

I guess this makes it official, Cindy Sheehan will be running against Ninny Pelosi. After being used as a "tool" to advance their anti-war agenda by the democrats, Sheehan is fed up they are all talk and no action!

Sheehan met with Conyers to see if he would keep his word about moving forward to impeach Bush & Cheney. Not getting the answer she wanted, Sheehan was arrested for protesting with anti-war morons outside Rep. John Conyers office.

"The Democrats will not hold this administration accountable, so we have to hold the Democrats accountable," Sheehan said outside of Conyers' office after the meeting. "And I for one am going to step up to the plate and run against Nancy Pelosi."

My favorite person is making headlines again! American traitor, Cindy Sheehan who last month said she was retiring from the limelight and making a fool of herself, declared she may run against Ninny Pelosi if she does not file articles of impeachment against President Bush.

Before her short hiatus, Sheehan, after becoming disgusted with the democrats and realizing she was used as a tool by the anti-war crowd, called Hillary Clinton a "Warmonger & a War Hawk."

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized the anti-war movement, said Sunday that she plans to seek House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's congressional seat unless she introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush in the next two weeks.

Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.

"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money." More....

Pelosi refuses to allow vote supporting England

Nothing like backing up a friend in their time of need!

Playing partisan politics and allowing herself to be influenced in Kerry like fashion, Pelosi refused to allow a vote on a resolution supporting England over the "NEW" Iran Hostage crisis.

Determined to thwart any attempts of the U.S. and our allies being successful in the region, Ninny Pelosi allows herself to be turned into a mouth piece for the liberal blogs.

The Washington Times notes how Ninny is harming one of our strongest supporters, is completely lost on what action to take and the willingness to compromise our international relations in order to "pander to her radical fringe."

Now that she has won House passage of legislation that would micromanage the way to defeat in Iraq, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finds herself struggling to come up with a coherent policy toward Iran.

Unfortunately, in a desperate effort to appease the hard left of the blogosphere (which worries that Pelosi and the Democratic leadership are insufficiently capitulationist) she has behaved contemptuously toward one of America's closest allies: Great Britain, and in particular, Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Before the House adjourned on Thursday, Mrs. Pelosi refused to permit a vote on House Resolution 267, which condemns Iran for the illegal seizure of British marines and sailors in Iraqi waters March 23.

The resolution was introduced exactly one week ago by Rep. Mark Kirk, Illinois Republican, and was reported out the following day by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. (The panel is chaired by Mrs. Pelosi's fellow California Democrat, Rep. Tom Lantos, who presently is accompanying her on a trip to the Middle East.)

A spokesman for Mrs. Pelosi said the speaker was reluctant to weigh in on the situation without knowing for sure that such a message would do more good than harm. (Why it would be harmful to make a statement supporting an ally who has had members of its armed forces kidnapped by a rogue regime was not explained.) More.....

Abolish 9th Circuit

Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, called for replacing the judges of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in an appearance on Focus on the Family’s daily radio program Thursday.

“The Ninth Circuit is so consistently wrong, it is so consistently radical, it is such a violation of the spirit of American history, that we’d be better off if we simply abolished it,” he told the program’s host, James Dobson.

Gingrich advocated reconstituting the court with different judges. Because federal judges are appointed for life, such a move would require impeachment of the Ninth Circuit judges.

The Ninth Circuit has long rankled conservatives with its controversial rulings, which include declaring unconstitutional the addition of the words “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance.

During the program, Dobson cited another decision that he said allows public schools to “operate independently” of parents.

“That’s the kind of stuff this crazy court does, isn’t it?” Dobson said.

“This would be a completely reasonable court in France,” Gingrich said. “It makes no sense as a court in the United States.” More....

Cheney slams Iraq plan advocated by Dems

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday harshly criticized Democrats' attempts to thwart President Bush's troop buildup in Iraq, saying their approach would "validate the al-Qaida strategy." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fired back that Cheney was questioning critics' patriotism.

"I hope the president will repudiate and distance himself from the vice president's remarks," Pelosi said. She said she tried to complain about Cheney to President Bush but could not reach him.

"You cannot say as the president of the United States, 'I welcome disagreement in a time of war,' and then have the vice president of the United States go out of the country and mischaracterize a position of the speaker of the House and in a manner that says that person in that position of authority is acting against the national security of our country," the speaker said.

The quarrel began in Tokyo, where Cheney used an interview to criticize Pelosi and Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., over their plan to place restrictions on Bush's request for an additional $93 billion for the Iraq war to make it difficult or impossible to send 21,500 extra troops to Iraq.

"I think if we were to do what Speaker Pelosi and Congressman Murtha are suggesting, all we will do is validate the al-Qaida strategy," the vice president told ABC News. "The al-Qaida strategy is to break the will of the American people ... try to persuade us to throw in the towel and come home, and then they win because we quit. More....
