Black Bear sightings increase in Ohio

This is really good news!!!

From Ohio News Now --

Residents in different parts of southeast Ohio have been reporting the same rare sight: black bears.

The Hocking County Sheriff's Office says in mid-May, a bear ate 18 eggs from a chicken coop in Logan. And, beginning over a week ago, a bear has been making regular visits to a yard where bee colonies are kept. The homeowner says the bear took one of her hives into the woods and ate it.

About 120 miles northeast of Logan, bear sightings have been reported this week in Martins Ferry and an area nearby. A woman says she was driving to work yesterday when a large bear walked in front of her car.

Wildlife experts say bears aren't seen very often in Ohio but may roam around the state in the summer before returning home in the fall.

Seeing a black bear in the wild is an awesome experience. I have seen a couple on trips to the U.P. of Michigan, they are so beautiful!

I was also dumb & drunk one night and wrestled Ceasar the Bear. Ceasar had an easy night!
