More illegal immigrant protests in Painesville

Why do people illegally here in our country, THINK they are entitled to the rights afforded to U. S. citizens?

Once again the illegals and their relatives were marching against the illegal immigrant crack down by INS in the Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula county areas.

From the PD --

Marchers protesting recent immigration raids walked through the hot, silent streets of Painesville this afternoon waving American flags and carrying signs aserting their right to be in the United States.

About 300 people left the city's Recreation Park at 3 p.m. making for Veteran's Memorial Park about six blocks away. It was the region's largest pro-immigration rally yet, but the turnout was less than expected.

"We know a lot of people from Painesville are afraid to march because they (federal agents) are still taking people," said Veronica Dahlberg, a march organizer.
The agents should have been waiting at Veteran's Memorial Park checking documentation on every marcher/protestor.

  1. A Rant about two politicians that get on my nerves, scamnesty and, damn, (sigh), an apology:

..gee wizz...I know I just said, like 3 month ago that I wouldn't be posting here, but hey, it has to be said:

Ohio's Republican Senator Voinovich VOTED TO PASS THE SCAMNESTY BILL!!!!

LIKE; W.T.F.,O? (what the f***, over? a military term of fustration for you civilian types)

God, I think I am going to be sick. When, oh when, does the pain come to an end? I am so sick of the Ohio Politicians that have PED (Political Erectial Dysfunction, as they are having problems rising to the political occasion when we need them to do it most).

and now I take a moment to apologize to King: you are right, Bob Bennett is a weenie. Probably will get my ass handed to me for stating that, but DAMN:

If he is so powerfull, then why did the RNC bitch slap Ohio in '06 by pulling support for DeWine in midstroke?

If he is so smart, then why did Trakas get out of the race and that guy that had the personality of a #2 pencil take the nod?

Karma alert: Then the underqualified Democrat winner of the Secretary of State, J. Bruenner, mops the floor with #2 pencil guy, and then dries it with Bennett's BOE chair appointment afterwards.

By the way, King, the "VA issue" I asked Senator Voinovich to help with 6 months ago...not even a letter from the casework offce (and yes, I have called/emailed/even contacted the Senator's office in Cleveland).

The VA is still ignoring me and I think I may have to go to - GASP!!! - Sherrod Brown for help...(which, for me, is almost a viable reason to committ hari-kari)

It looks like George is too busy coddling 20 million illegal trespassers than to take note his casework office isn't working cases.

At any rate, this is my public apology to , and offer to buy a beer for, King.

  2. First - You owe me no apology! I operate under sticks & stones may break my bones, but nobody can hurt me.

Second - I am looking forward to the beer.

If your ass is handed to you, I will be the first to stand next to you and fight for what is right (pun & no pun intended).

I told you before, I am outspoken. Many people sometimes do not want to see the truth because they believe in the people supposedly leading our cause. This is why there are no hard feelings.

But this is why I am so passionate when I see people getting shit on and mislead.

It upsets me when you have good people, such as you and many other volunteers/employees, busting their ass to improve what we have. Busting their ass and sacrificing their time and putting their hearts and souls into their work all for nothing.

As for Bennett, I stand by everything I said last time we spoke. I would not have spoke so strongly on my feelings, if my gut did not tell me too.

I'm sure I was called an ass and more by a lot of people, but thats good! I like that! It is good because my words made them think about what I said at the time. Hopefully the doubters will now slowly see the forest through the trees.

The damage was done, Bennett got his egotistical ass slapped back to Columbus by a second rate democrat hack that is a puppet for the DNC and Tubbs-Jones.

Side Note: I love how Blobby Bennett stepped right in line, showing the party his true worth, and became a Platten supporter. You see he got the letter saying he was a good boy at the BOE and that was all he cared about.

Because of Booby Bennett, our county will now be under COMPLETE control of the democrats for the o8 election.

Had the committee members in RPCC screamed loud enough when I tried, maybe other counties parties would have joined in and we could have cut our losses.

The good thing about this whole thing Weazel is that now as local GOPers' see for themselves the failed leadership, hopefully we will gain two things...

1.)Our party members will never allow any member, regardless of who, put themselves above the party.

2.) If we learned anything, we will now be stronger from our mistake! If not, we will continue to flounder.

My opinion on the RNC pulling their support --

They were able to tell Blacksmell was continuing to divide our party and scare away even the most conservatives of I's.

Sensing this, knowing voters as a whole, had a bad taste for the GOP this year (especially Ohio voters), and maybe their ever trusting poll numbers told them to cut their losses here.

IMO Dewine was getting beat around pretty good by Brown. The RNC most liely figured since DeWine would probably lose, they should concentrate the money elsewhere.

    Just a guess...

Could I have a MGD in a frosted mug? :)

  3. Well, your getting an apology; whether you want it or not. It comes as a package deal with the frosted mug of MGD.
My ass will eventually get handed to me because I will not go away and (due to the genetic disposition of being Irish, Texan, Marine and a woman) will not keep my mouth shut.
I stuff a mean envelope, can walk some serious parade miles while tossing candy to screaming kids, knock down a thousand doors, distribute a square mile of rainforest destruction during a lit drop and make hundreds of phone calls to “Support the Team”, but when you actually expect these politicians to step up to the plate and:
    1. Take care of the United States by prosecuting people who break the law, live off of and drain our public resources, perpetuate gang involvement on our streets, smuggle drugs into our country that is destroying our youth, inner cities, suburbia and rural America.
    2. Attempt to take care of the constituents when they are being abused by the Federal Government; and in the case that they can not help, at least show the respect of contacting that citizen with an explanation.
    3. To ask the opinion of the constituents that voted for them what they feel should be done on a topic; not just go run amuck and vote/act on how they feel about a piece of legislation.
You get nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada.
I often wonder, since today it has been exactly 6 months since I requested help through the Voinovich Casework office and I haven’t even received a form letter acknowledging my request:
HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE HAVE BEEN ABANDONED BY THIS OFFICE?
HOW MANY OHIO VOTERS ARE OUT THERE SAYING
“VOINOVICH DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HIS PEOPLE, HE JUST CONTINUALLY ASKS FOR MORE MONEY, MORE HELP AND MORE SUPPORT”.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HOLDING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AS A WHOLE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF VOINOVICH’S OFFICE?
HOW MUCH CRAP HAS BEEN SWEPT UNDER THE RUG BY THE STAFF AT THE CASEWORK OFFICE?
HOW FAR HAS THE CORRUPTION/LACKADAISICAL BEHAVIOR SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE SENATOR’S STAFF AND OFFICES?
Yep, I’m pissed. Remember the term “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn”? I am going to redefine that concept during the 2010 election cycle when Senator Voinovich submits his bid for reelection to Ohio Voters. I plan to be a major “Talk to the Hand” chick.
Yeah, I will probably get my ass handed to me. Oh well, never have been much of a “go with the flow” chica anyway. Still want to stand next to me? Well, at least there will be a lot of room, because I will probably be ostracized and abandoned by the Party Loyal.
Bennett is a weenie…and a lame one at that. When I was speaking of the RNC pulling it’s support of DeWine – I try not to think about Blackwell to much, as it causes migraines – I was only pissed about the whole “NO!! The RNC is NOT pulling it’s support of DeWine. We are not pulling the funds! We are in the fight for good” one week; then low and behold, without so much as a heads up: “The RNC is reallocating the funds from the Senator Race in Ohio to the Senator Race in (Bum-F-Egypt). This is somewhat of a personal issue for me, as I had just answered around a hundred phone calls at the Rep.Party HQ in Cleveland stating “No, the rumors are incorrect! The RNC is not pulling support for DeWine.” This is what I was told by everyone – and that came from the RNC. THEN they (the RNC and ORP) made a liar out of me by pulling support in mid stroke!
If they were going to pull support, fine. That I can deal with. That is their prerogative. Misleading the Republican voters/volunteers by outright lies and putting unsuspecting volunteers and staff on the line; that is downright crappy. Bennett, that “Powerful Veteran Ohio Republican Chairman” he is, allowed it to happen, which really pisses me off.
The doubters – and don’t get me wrong, most of these people I love and hold dearly in my heart - see the forest through the trees, but find it easier to hang on tight to the sides of a sinking boat rather than rock it. Standing up and saying “Hey, that guy sucks and is not doing his job” about a popular public figure can be downright terrifying. A lot of these people feel a certain amount of dedication to these people because the people “are nice”, “have known them forever”, “have supported them every time” and/or just don’t know how to handle the situation while still appearing to be loyal to their friend.
It is high time that we, as Republicans, figure out that someone can be a really nice person and completely inept at their job. This is business, the quicker that the party starts holding it’s candidates and elected officials to it’s obligations, the quicker this party will regain it’s former state of excellence and reclaim Ohio as a red state.
Hopefully, we will figure it out as a party BEFORE 2008, or it is going to be a LONG road to recovery, both on a state and national level.

NOW, plug for the 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate:
