Republican, Independent, and Democratic Voters say
“Demand More!”

Welcome to Campaign 2008!!!! On Tuesday, March 4, 2008 Republican voters overwhelmingly nominated former State Representative Jim Trakas with over 80% of the vote to represent the party in the November election. Many thanks go out to the hundreds of volunteers who made phone calls, worked polling locations, sent letters and flyers to Tenth District voters on Jim’s behalf. Now, the fun begins

Twelve year incumbent Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich was re-nominated by the Democratic Party receiving just 48% of the votes cast in the Democratic Primary. Recent polling shows the Congressman to be as vulnerable as he has been since he was defeated for re-election for Cleveland Mayor in 1979.

Website Launched: http://www.jimtrakas.org/ is up and running and provides detailed information on Jim’s stances on issues and innovative and achievable policy goals that will help to transform and revitalize our economy. With 12 years of public service as a member of Independence City Council and the Ohio House of Representatives, Jim stands ready to step in and lead from day one.

Our website features a volunteer sign-up page as well as a contribution page. The site also includes an in-depth biography of Jim.

Grassroots Phase: With the Primary Election past, the campaigning begins in earnest. Polling shows that 51% of Tenth District voters prefer someone else this November and we want to prove to the voters that Jim Trakas is a viable alternative and that this is a winnable campaign!

Our effort begins now!! Jim believes that Congressman Kucinich has had 12 years to accomplish his goals, but having not done that, it is time for real leadership that can accomplish things for the people of Greater Cleveland.

We invite you to join the campaign effort by volunteering for door to door and phone calling. Please contact Patrick Kelly at 216-621-5418 or email pat@jimtrakas.org to get involved. It takes hard work to make history!

  2. Hi Jack,

I could not agree more. I believe two other equally important items would be...

    1.) Raise money (obviously)
2.) Face time in front of voters
3.) Do not underestimate Kookcinich he is like a cockroach
