Obama Already Apologizing for "Careless & Offhanded" Remarks

Much like in his campaign when Obama would have to apologize, re-explain and/or clarify his comments - he tripped up on his second day as President-elect.

Addressing his best buddies in the media during a press conference, Obama's snide remarks about former First Lady Nancy Reagan were completely tasteless and out of line....
At a news conference in Chicago, Obama said he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepares to take office in January. Then he smiled and said, "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances."

Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said the president-elect later called Mrs. Reagan "to apologize for the careless and offhanded remark."

With Russia aiming missiles at Poland, Iran possibly having tested a nuclear bomb, and Al-Qaeda licking their lips over Obama's election we, as a nation, cannot afford his "careless and offhanded remarks."

Mr. Barack "Damn, Alinsky's plan worked" Obama must understand that "I wanna be President" playtime and his days of voting "present" are over - American lives and livelihoods hinge on his every word!

  2. Eric -

I said nothing about impeaching him. What's wrong - you don't like the criticism of everything he does now? You guys did it for 8 years during Bush. All you guys did was bitch, whine and whish him ill will.

The intent of the post was the same as previous posts about Obama regarding what he sometimes says. Obama has a habit of saying things then having to re-explain, clarify or apologize for and then explain what he really meant.

As leader of our country, and with some of the enemies we face, we and President- elect Obama cannot afford these missteps or miscommunications. Again - you do not get do-overs as leader of a country.

ANON -- Obama is prez elect of the United States. When he is sworn in - he will be president of our country.

I did not vote for him nor do I subscribe to his liberal, socialist beliefs. As much as I would like to be wrong - I do not believe Obama will have us in a better place in 4 years. I do not believe in him, but as disappointed and ashamed that I am - I believe in the USA.

So because of a belief and a love for our country - I only pray, for our country, future generations & President-elect Obama, that as leader of our country, he does a good job.

So take it for what it's worth.

Wow, what high standards ! This coming from, I guess, a former supporter Bush? That is rich. Nevermind that Bush was the master of missteps and miscommunication. However, when he did it I guess it was just good, old country talk, after all, he's just a good old boy, its alright. No pressure on him. But, man, when a Democrat says something stupid, OH MY, WE CAN'T AFFORD "MISCOMMUNICATIONS" !!

I bet you supported McCain/Palin. They both were the gold standards of "communications", eh, especially Palin, right? Wow, can you at least see the utter hypocrisy of your high communicative standards ?

  4. Bush was far from perfect. Though he did much better than John Kerry or Gore would have done.

Bush said several stupid things like - Looking into Putin's eyes (How gay!) and donning a flight suit declaring the War in Iraq was over/done.

To be honest it killed me to hear Bush talk! But, say what you want - the man kept our country from being attacked.

Actually, except when Palin allowed herself to be controlled (Couric interview)she did sound like a moron. But when Palin spoke as herself in non-scripted remarks she did fine. Unlike Barack Oteleprompter.

What I can see is how you lefty's would criticize Bush for farting the wrong way but will be content on giving Obama a pass on everything.

So I ask for all above... Was Bush YOUR President?
