  1. Sorry, but I don't think you have the right info about Issue 5 - a yes vote means:

    - an end to the special deal payday lenders struck in 1995 that gave them an advantage over other lenders - why should they be able to charge higher rates and have a government-approved advantage?

    - Ohioans will be able to choose safe loans on an even playing field

    - Ohioans will have the payday loan protections the federal government provides to military

    - the bipartisan effort to lower the interest rates to a fair level won't be undone

As House Speaker Jon Husted put it, "With the free market comes trust and responsibility that the product you are providing is going to work. In this case, it doesn't."

  2. Why should we vote yes and support a more intrusive, nanny state?

  3. King,

Can you explain why you are in favor of the County Library tax issue?

  4. Yes on 5 will effectively put the payday loan industry out of business in Ohio. Instead of lowering interest rates it will eliminate a source of emergency cash for folks who cannot get it from anywhere else.

  5. Yes On - please don't try to tell me what YOU think I have wrong.

Again I am against any restrictions on Pay Day Lending. If you want to borrow from them - you do it on their terms.

    Home Boy 1986 --

I support the Library Levy because they are a great asset to all communities. It affords people an outlet to further their knowledge.

They also provide a place for students too further their studies.

  7. King,

No kidding? I had no idea that is what libraries are for. Damn.

Come freaking on. Do you work at the library? You want to give more money to our corrupt county institutions? They deserve nothing. Cut the budgets in half by removing unecessary spending and half the employees. Services will remain the same as the remaining people will actually have to work. You do not reward the incompetent and corrupt with more money.

  8. I urge everyone to write-in Steve Emmert for County Auditor.

  9. Home Girl- You asked and I answered. Don't like it - go somewhere else.

Glad to see you stopped playing with crayons and know what libraries are for.

No I do not work at a library, but it sounds as if you do with your vast knowledge on their finances.

I would much rather pass a levy for the library than the schools that re bogged down with educrts indoctrinating our children with liberal trash.

Very, very rarely, will I support any type of tax increase but the library in Bedford is run very well from what I am able to tell and I will vote for the levy.
