Golden RINO Award - Senator George Voinovich

Our tormented blubbering Buckeye State Senator George Voinovich once again earns the award named in his honor - "The Golden RINO Award"

Rinovich has won this award so often, that not only should it be named after him - he should wear one on a necklace!

Because he is content on continually ramming his polished up RINO horn up the a** of conservatism - Senator Georgie Porgy RINOvich - by wanting to bail out the auto industry, again kissed the democrats and is making us Republicans cry -

H/T to Matt at WMD on this bit of RINO busting....

Reports had been coming in all day long yesterday. Check them out here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

I especially want to highlight
this one because the difference between Republican Leader, my Congressman and a Great American -- John Boehner -- and the Perennial Back-Bencher Senior Senator -- George Voinovich -- can clearly be illustrated in the first two paragraphs of the piece:

House Republican Leader John A. Boehner on Thursday blasted the Democrats' plan to advance legislation next week earmarking $25 billion from Treasury's financial rescue package for struggling U.S. automakers.

Sen. George Voinovich, a Republican from Boehner's home state of Ohio, breathed life into the plan on Thursday by agreeing, in principle, to an infusion of federal funds for Detroit's Big Three auto manufacturers.
Before RINOvich lays down again with the dems, he should read this parable on the auto industry called the Great Canoe Race.

Fellow SOB'er, Boring Made Dull, links to some wisdom from - Ted Nugent. True to our cause - the Motor City Madman shows his love for RINO's...

Like any entity that abandons basic quality control, political parties rot from within. It happened to the Democrats long ago, and now has become the case with the Republican Party, which has strayed from its conservative underpinnings.

There are really only four things I have a strong aversion to: unloaded guns, dull knives, banjos, and Republicans in Name Only (RINOs).

RINOs are Fedzilla punks who feign support for conservative principles only when it serves their political interest. RINOs are also known for their moderate positions such as supporting tax increases, federal “bailouts”, “comprehensive immigration reform”, advocating more counterproductive gun control that guarantee more innocent victims, opposing the death penalty, and growing and sustaining Fedzilla and all its toxic mongrels by going along with the liberals. RINOs have forgotten President Ronald Maximus Regan's admonition that government is the problem, not the solution. More...

  1. Rinovich will be defeated in 2010. I hope someone, like Ken Blackwell or Art Laffer challenge him in the primary, otherwise its gonna be U.S. Senator Lee Fisher.

  2. Blackwell rubbed a lot of people the wrong way in his election for Governor - if he runs we can only hope exhibits better judgement when picking a campaign team.

I think Blackwell would be much better for our party in the role of Senator than had he been elected Governor.

I agree, if by some chance there is no challenger or by sheer luck he makes it through a primary, he will be beaten by the dem candidate.

What about Buddish? Think he would be the dem candidate?

I am not aware of who Laffer is, but I know RINOvich IS a laugher of a Senator!

  4. Thank GOD no one really pays any mind to King because he is mostly wrong. Ken Blackwell? He is nuts. George will mop the floor with him. For all his huff and puff King remains quite in the dark because he allows his resentments to run him rather than his intellect. One could hope against hope that he gives birth to his head soon.

  5. I highly doubt Voinovich would mop the floor with Blackwell.

Allows my resentments to run me? Please, I was so pissed at Blackwell and his crappy campaign i could have spit nails. Do a search of the site and you will see how pissed I was about Blackwell.

But since I am not run by my resentments - with the leadership we have now - Blackwell outshines everyone of them.

One more thing about RINOvich & Blackwell - Blackwell is a Republican with conservative values.

Maybe you haven't seen that RINOvich is no longer a Republican acting Senator. But then again maybe you think our Deputy Chairman DeWine is right by thinking we should abandon our values - like RINOvich so often does.

And one last thing - maybe if your head was out of your ass - you would see I was responding to the first comment.

So tell us Mr. Intellectual Sparky - who would be your choice to replace our weeping Senator RINOvich?

  6. A guy named George V. Voinovich. He is the only one that can hold that seat for the Republicans. I think the man votes his heart. I cannot slight him for that. You know he actually has changed his mind on a couple of issues after talking with some of his constituents back here at home.
He does truly take the time to listen. He is truly a heartfelt and thoughtful individual(more than can be said for you) and he does alot for this region. I think you should be showing alot more respect for The Senior Senator from Ohio. Blackwell is DONE but Senator Voinovich can get re-elected as many times as he chooses to run.
