Take me out to the ball game.... It's Gay Day!

Let's see where do I begin....

I have no problem with any American, gay or not, singing the National Anthem. I have no problem with the Padres for having a "Gay Pride" day at the ballpark. It is San Francisco, so what else would you expect!

I have a big problem with the club promoting a "Gay Pride" day on the same day they are promoting free give-a-ways and events for the kids. To promote these events on the same day is nothing short of tasteless!

From World Net Daily --

Not even an afternoon at a baseball game apparently is going to be safe for parents who want to protect their children from advocates for homosexuality, with the San Diego Padres' confirmation their July 8 game will simultaneously offer free caps to attract children, and a formal recognition of the area's homosexual organization.

"San Diego Pride supporters and volunteers will be recognized for organizing the group event with a scoreboard welcome and the Gay Men's Chorus of San Diego will sing the National Anthem," the Major League Baseball team has announced on its website.

This year's floppy cap for kids features silhouettes of the Swinging Friar, the website said. More....

How fitting.... they will be giving away hats of the "Swinging Friar" on Gay Pride day!
