Bible Thumping "Anti-Stripper Group" has G-String in a bunch

The Bible-thumping holy rollers at, Citizens for Community Values, the group responsible for the restrictions to be unduly placed on "Gentleman Clubs," have their G-strings in a bunch over the name, Citizens for Community Standards, used by the group formed to combat their over reaching regulations being imposed on society.

While I did support CCV and their fight against same-sex marriage, this time, they are going WAY to far.

By waging a blackmail campaign against spineless Ohio legislators, the restrictions go into effect on Sept. 4, 2007. Rev. Strickland, also showing no backbone, refused to veto SB 116.

The Columbus Dispatch reports --

The latest skirmish occurred this week when Charles M. Allen, a Virginia attorney who specializes in intellectual property rights litigation, accused Citizens for Community Standards of picking a name similar to its rival's "with the intention of creating confusion and misleading voters."

Allen, representing CCV, demanded in his Tuesday letter that CCS must "cease and desist" using the name because it violates his client's trademarked name.

CCV is claiming that CCS, chose their name as a way to confuse and deceive people? Well isn't that the kettle calling the pot black!

CCV's whole campaign against the "Adult Entertainment Industry" was based on deceit and confusion. Having worked as a door guy, bouncer, floor walker, security, etc... at strip clubs in OH, WV & KY, their assertions about the girls & clubs, could not be farther from the truth!

Over at Plunderbund, one of the Plunder Monkey's, correctly points out there is over 50 other groups with same sounding names. Will they all be subject to this frivolous litigation?

What is upsetting to me is that the republican legislators who preach the "trickle down" effect regarding the economy, failed to see to negative impact from the "trickle down" effect of this bill.
Not only will this bill negatively impact the girls & clubs, but it will "trickle down" to many jobs and industries not thought to be associated with these clubs.

The Buckeye Association of Club Executives, in hopes of stopping SB 116, will try to gather enough signatures to put this on the state ballot as a referendum. The petition can be found on their site.

I will be contacting them, not only to sign it, but to help circulate it.

Oh the poor strippers. Tell them they should get a real job.

What are they doing, putting themselves through school to be a receptionist?

Nice example for their children. Take your clothes off because you are to stupid to get a good job anywhere.

Nice conservative values King!

Nice grammar, Anonymous.

You want to teach your kids something? Maybe start with the difference between 'to' and 'too'.

Anyway, thanks for your support, King. Always appreciated.

Even if I disagree with you on the same-sex marriage stuff- at least we can agree on this. Oh- and I'm still looking forward to that fishing trip, King. Maybe this Fall?
