CImperman and his family were asleep on the second floor of their home when he was awoken because his house was on fire. How did it catch on fire? Fire officials believe it was arson.
Now I think Cimperman is a blowhard and an ass. His actions during his primary with Kucinich were juvenile and unprofessional - but I would never wish any physical harm on him or his family.
If and when they are caught the scumbuckets that started this fire should be beaten to within an inch of their life. If they have an issue with Cimperman - fine - take it up with him. Go kick his ass in an alley or whatever - but placing his family in harms way is way out of line.
Again, even though Cimperman is an ass, I am glad nobody was hurt.

A fire broke out in the home of a Cleveland city councilman early Monday morning.
The flames started around 2:30 a.m. on West 12th Street at the home of Joe Cimperman.
NewsChannel5's Dan Haggerty reported that neighbors smelled smoke and called 911.
Some teenagers in the area alerted the Ward 13 councilman, who lives on the second floor, and another family on the first floor, by throwing rocks and the windows and yelling, and got them out of the house safely.
Cimperman said he heard the fire alarm go off and the banging on his door.
Firefighters said the blaze appears suspicious. They found signs of an accelerant near the home. That could mean the fire was intentionally set, Haggerty said.
The fire spread quickly, igniting a propane tank on the second-floor balcony and damaging a neighboring home.
The flames did about $30,000 in damage to Cimperman's home.
Firefighters are investigating.

one of the freakiest pieces of news footage i've seen in a while. the man's house is engulfed in flames, he allegedly barely escaped with his family, arson is suspected and he is smiling and waving at the camera. Cimperman is just pissed that this did not take place a couple days before the Primary election. You cannot pay for this kind of free television coverage for a politician. That is why he is all smiles. Why do you think Kucinich likes to smile during coverage of dead soldiers? He loves the camera.

then again, maybe he got tipped off that the fbi was on the way over and he had some boxes of records he needed to burn himself. a very real possibility. maybe that's why he was smiling - the evidence against him was going up in flames.

ReplyDeleteHis friggin' house burnt down, no one deserves that. it was ruled arson, again NO ONE deserves that. so yes, i am defending his right not to have himslef, his wife and baby burnt to death. you may not agree with his politics, but he has the right to not be killed for his views. This is a free country.

Somebody just tried kiliing his wife and newborn. A real man would have grabbed the microphone, looked into the camera and dared the people who did that to meet him one on one. Maybe stand there with a bat and tell them when you find them - they will walk with a limp the rest of their lives.
But nobody said Simpleman should be harmed for his silly views. Come'on we will only have Dennis Kookcinich to kick around for a little while longer. Simpleman being a Kookcinich Jr. - will bring us years of stupid headlines to come.
What does it say about Simpleman when he had almost ALL of corporate Cleveland & many of the Cuyahoga County Republican party backing him financially and he STILL got thumped by Kookcinich?
