This post will show the dangers of being a police officer and will hopefully shut up all the Monday morning quarterbacks everytime there is a police shooting.
As sure as God made green apples - whenever there is a police shooting the officer is always second guessed and made a criminal by some of the drive by media and ass hat citizens. Below you will see what can happen in a matter of seconds...
Middleburgh Hts. police responded to a call about a man with a gun this weekend. After arriving on scene and the suspect failing to drop his weapon when ordered - police were forced to taser the man. (At this point we can insert the usual public remarks about the bad police tasering the poor guy for not listening).
End of story - right? Not Hardly!
After being tasered and dropping his weapon, the suspect pulled out the taser prongs and reached for his weapon again. A well trained member of the Middleburgh Hts., using an MP-5, a tactical weapon - perfectly suited for these instances - was forced to end this story with 2 - 3 round bursts into the suspect. The suspect was carted off in a gurney with a sheet draped over his face - the officers all went home safely. Good Job MHPD!
Being the son of a retired police officer - this next story hits home, is difficult to write and gives me an empty feeling...
A Twinsburg Policeman, Officer Joshua Miktarian, was gunned down - murdered - during a routine traffic stop this weekend.

Police officer Joshua Miktarian got one handcuff on Ashford Thompson when he stopped him early Sunday, blocks from Thompson's home.
And when police arrived at Thompson's former home in Bedford Heights to arrest him in Miktarian's death, that handcuff still dangled from Thompson's wrist.
They arrested him at 2:41 a.m., less than an hour after police say Miktarian - a K-9 officer who had worked midnight shifts since 1997 - stopped Thompson's car for loud music and suspected driving under the influence.
Two minutes into the traffic stop, Miktarian radioed for help, police said. Almost simultaneously, a 9-1-1 caller reported loud shouting and "pop" sounds.
A minute later, police dispatch radioed Miktarian, but there was no response.
He was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center at 2:48 a.m., a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds to the head, according to the Cuyahoga County coroner. More...
It appears Officer Miktarian did not have a chance to even defend himself. My heart goes out to his family, the Twinsburg PD and the Oakwood PD. Officer Miktarian's wife is a police officer with the Oakwood Police Dept.
I would like to think there would be no more second guessing of these life or death split second decisions policemen are forced to make - but I know better. Many of these instances would never be an issue if the suspects just listened and did not FORCE the officers into shooting.
Anybody want to second guess the use of deadly force by police again?

- Cleveland Heights Patrolman Jason West, 31, was shot to death in May 2007 while responding to a call about a street fight.
- Euclid Patrolman George Brentar, 49, died in October 2007 when his cruiser hydroplaned on Interstate 90, crashed and burst into flames.
- Cleveland Patrolman Derek Owens, 36, died in March after being shot while chasing four men in southeast Cleveland.

What about the guy in Middleburgh Hts - I believe he was white. Had he not been pumped with lead - two officers may have been murdered this weekend. You know what - I bet that guy in Middleburgh Hts MUST have had a black relative
some place in his family tree. For that matter - who know's! He may have gotten a blood transfusion from a black guy - so that would make him partially black now. At least it did to Archie Bunker.

well, king. number one - i'm not a racist and don't have a white sheet. you are the one who seems to react outrageously when some fact about race is cited. the fact is that ALL of the police officers shote in the line of duty that you mention were shot by black males. does this accurate statistic make you so uncomfortable you have to attack the person who conveys it as a racist? what's with the hypersensitivity? that's what the black leadership does. the truth is a little uncomfortable, isn't it? it is a problem of black leadership. when reverend mcmickle serves as grand jury foreman and then tells the press that the experience was "tantamount to apartheid", then we have a problem. when we have reverend wright accusing white people of inventing the aids virus for the purpose of killing black people, then we have a problem. when al sharpton accuses a prosecutor of rape in the tawanna brawley case, we have a problem. i could recite hundreds of examples. the problem is that young black people become brainwashed by their own leadership and conditioned to hate whites, especially white authority figures. these aren't made up allegations, king. these are facts. so, i resent being called a racist. i am NOT a racist and have NEVER been a racist. remember state rep shirley smith calling the two cleveland detectives in the brandon mccloud case assassins and hitmen? i'm asking you to cite race in the killings of police officers by suspects and vice versa. do the research and the commentary offered by the black leadership and the double standard will be glaringly obvious. that's what i'm sayin. just last night the was a story about judge alison nelson floyd who threw out the case of a black male juvenile who had pointed a gun at a cleveland police officer. she then refused to talk to the media about it. her bailiff said there was no "probable cause" in the case. what? tell the truth king instead of calling me names.

ReplyDeleteKing - These officers are different than Simone. The reason the anti-police backlash comes out regarding Simone is that he is a loose cannon on the streets. He has killed people who did not deserve to be killed, beaten suspects for trivial matters, and has taken the law into his hands many times. He is a menace not a hero.
ReplyDeleteRemember when he tried to arrest a RPCC official in Westlake after getting a tip the guy was DUI possible from one of Simone's Democrat Party buddies? Simone is a CLEVELAND cop not a Westlake cop, suspect would not allow himself to be arrested and Simone wanted to murder him as well.
He is not a man to be revered or praised, but feared.

ReplyDeleteEverything happens for a reason and God allows them to happen. How can anyone who loves and believes in God hate or be against what he allows to happen? There are many things that God allows to happen that we don't understand so we speak evil against the plan of his will-how dare anyone do this? Death is apart of being born so expect it. If not, then you cause yourself pain from lack of understanding. Whether death of natural causes or murder, God allowed it so let it be.
