Cuyahoga County Corruption takes a "Right" Turn
Well look at that.... a Republican twist to the Cuyahoga County scandals...
A former state senator has been charged in a county government corruption investigation in Cleveland.
Federal prosecutors filed bribery and fraud charges Thursday against 69-year-old Anthony Sinagra, who is also the former mayor of suburban Lakewood.
He's accused of bribing former Parma school board member John Kevin Kelley for a consulting contract. Kelley has pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing.
The alleged bribes were more than $3,000 in campaign contributions to Kelley and on two occasions more than $1,000 in cash and a bottle of wine. (WKYC)
I wonder if State Senator Tom Patton is starting to sweat yet?

Cuyahoga County Land Bank has County Treasurer Showing his Political Fangs
Reviewing the numbers for the newly created County Land Bank, which was expected to raise millions for the county by purchasing & collecting taxes on foreclosed properties, Budget Director Sandy Turk comes to the conclusion that the numbers don't work. Turk estimates the Land Bank will cost the county about $30 million in start up money to buy foreclosed properties, and will cause the county to lose approximately $2 million a year.
One of the snakes pushing for a cosmetic reform of Cuyahoga County Government and one of the brain trusts behind creating a county land bank - Cuyahoga County Treasurer James Rocockiss - (who by the way is looking to advance his own political career with this reform) will stand for no one to challenge his cherry picked numbers...
Rokakis, who has billed the land bank program as a money maker, said Tuesday that he considers the analysis by Budget Director Sandy Turk to be flawed and that he intends to ask county commissioners for her removal.
"She deliberately misstated numbers to create the illusion that the land bank would cost the county money," he said. (PD)
This woman has some nerve challenging Big Jim - huh? Rocockiss, angling for a Commissioner spot in the next election, or the County Executive spot, if and when a country reform passes, could not have anyone making him look bad.
The Plain Dealer reports that after presenting her report things got testy and Rocockiss placed a not so friendly call to Turk....
Exactly what was said in the exchange is a matter of dispute.
According to Turk, Rokakis asked if she was going to take a buyout being offered to county employees. Then, Turk said, the treasurer added: "Maybe you will when I become the next commissioner next year."
Rokakis denied making any reference to becoming a commissioner, but he acknowledged advising Turk to retire early: "I said, 'You know Sandy, you should take the buyout because you're an incompetent.' "
Rokakis said Turk underestimated interest on the loan to the land bank. The treasurer said his problems with Turk aren't limited to her report on the land bank. For instance, he said, Turk opposed him taking over responsibility for county investments years ago.
As we can see, Turk stands to lose her job of 19 years - so why would she purposely dispute the proposed numbers - she has nothing to gain by stirring the pot. On the other hand, a failed and costly County Land Bank, could have a high political cost for Rocockiss, a Democrat. So who do you believe?
But don't worry... I'm sure the "watch dogs" at the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County (RPCC) are all over this and have went through all the details with a fine tooth comb and have offered their stance on the integrity of the numbers - right?
Nope, the clueless & useless over-paid cads at the RPCC are busy watching and promoting the local version of Dancing with the Stars.

Republican Party of Cuyahoga County Puts Best Foot Forward
Not to worry - my sequined wearing Sparky's... even though they do the Hokey Pokey and are unable to turn anything around at election time and show the skill of a rogue RINO in their two-step on the wishes of rank & file members - the dancing dolts have figured out how to be most effective in the only way they can.
Completely off the dance floor when it was time to come out against a forced sales tax increase and the Domestic Registry - The following press release from the "No Parking on the Dance Floor" Republican Party Clowns of Cuyahoga County show they will not be on the sidelines anymore...
Hello! - there are just two weeks left on Cleveland's Dancing with the Stars. Mayor David Bentkowski could win it all with your help.
Please go to www.newsnet5.com on the home page and view this week's dance. Then vote for Mayor David Bentkowski. It takes just seconds.
Also, please tell a friend and forward this email to some of your email contacts. Voting closes at 6am.
Mayor David Bentkowski says, "We all know I can't dance - but thanks to a great partner, I have gotten better every week and am now only two weeks away from winning it all. It would be a lot of fun so your time and vote is appreciated."
I guess when you can't win elections and can't fill races with candidates - dancing the night away is the next best thing!

Cuyahoga County Judge Eileen A. Gallagher - The Defendant's Judge!
ONCE AGAIN we find Judge Eileen A. Gallagher -another Cuyahoga County Democrat judge - ignoring the victim and protecting the defendant. This time Judge Eileen -The defendants queen - handed down a sentence that flies in the face of logic, is dismissive of the victims and completely diminishes the seriousness of the offense...
Joanne Schneider, who ran what prosecutors called one of the largest securities frauds in state history, was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to a series of criminal charges.
Schneider and her husband stole about $60 million from investors. The three-year sentence was the minimum for the securities and fraud charges she pleaded guilty to in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Several people who stole less money in similar, unrelated scams got longer prison sentences.
Judge Eileen A. Gallagher -- who earlier sentenced Schneider's husband, Alan, to probation instead of jail for his participation in the operation -- chose to make the sentences for the 13 crimes concurrent. (Plain Duller)
Three years for completely destroying the lives of the victims. Understand this, other than not wearing a 'do-rag' & gang colors -Schneider is no different than the average Cleveland street thug.
As noted in the article, the sentence handed down by Judge Gallagher is much more lenient than others who stole far less --
- Andrew Bodnar - 2001 - $41 million/7yrs
- David Dadante - 2007 - $28 million/13yrs
- Geoff Benson - 2001 - $26 million/ 30yrs (reduced to 13)
- Gary McNaughton - 2007 - $17 million/5yrs
You know what is surprising about this? Judge Gallagher ran unopposed in her last election. You got it "Say it ain't so" Sparky - the +$400K a year political juggernaut called the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County fielded NO candidate in this race.
Can one of our Central Committee members please tell me again about how we can't get candidates elected? Can one of our CC members please tell me how when we put up no candidate everything is the Democrats fault in Cuyahoga County?
I love it when I hear RPCC members spout, "people in Cuyahoga County just don't like Republicans." Did you ever think it is because we never give them an alternative?

What in Cuyahoga County cost $407,936.83 to run in 2007?
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights or lowlights for 2007.
POLITICAL WORK IS A CALLING
IN-HOUSE PHONE SYSTEM
$10,192.68
PARTY PROVIDED CELL PHONES
$4,193.15 (First 6 Months)
$6,059.00 (Last 6 Months)
TOTAL: $10,252.15
IN-HOUSE PHONE SYSTEM + CELL PHONES = $20,444.83
And you get pissed at Verizon for charging you roaming minutes? Maybe someone at RPCC Headquarters should be taking that annoying phone call from AT&T about switching plans for a better rate.
RENT: AND YOU DON’T EVEN GET SNAPPY SHOW TUNES
RENT AND UTILITIES
$19,729.67 (First 6 Months)
$20,179.29 (Last 6 Months)
TOTAL: $39,908.96
Well you know downtown D.C. rent is just astronomical. Oh, wait we are in downtown Cleveland, not D.C. A downtown that can not fill office space to save its life. You would think with the mortgage crisis the media keeps going on about we could get a sweet deal and buy a place. When you buy it, you don’t have to pay rent. Hmmm… At least it has ample parking, oh wait…
PARK IT!
PARKING PASSES
$3,450.00 (First 6 Months)
$3,725.00 (Last 6 Months)
TOTAL: $7,175.00
There is ample downtown parking. Or at least that’s what they tell the ward leaders when they have to trek down their for a meeting. Costs range from $.25/hr for a meter to $25 for a parking ticket and everything in between. Hopefully there is a Cavs or Indians game too. It is so ample that we pay for it. Funny thing is they work right next to tower city which has a rapid stop and a set of bus stops right in front of the building. Let’s see $75 per monthly pass X 12 months X 3 people = $2,700. A savings of almost $5,000. I bet if we tell them this they would gladly save the party that money, heck they may even offer to pay for their own parking, if they’re not so inclined to take the bus, saving us even more!
DA DA DA DA DA DA - - - - CHARGE!
PARTY CREDIT CARD CHARGES
$7,620.00 (First 6 Months)
$7,300.00 (Last 6 Months)
TOTAL: $14,920.00
You thought your teenager was bad? Yes, while it is wise to keep little Susie away from Legacy Village with pa pa’s American Express, you may want to keep your RPCC children under just as tight of a leash.
WORKIN’ 9 TO 5
SALARIES (Frost, Backiel, Cizmadia/Luketic)
$99, 849.75 (First 6 months)
$99, 935.44 (Last 6 months)
TOTAL: $199,785.19
Now you say, wait they work incredibly long hours, especially during campaign season. Never forget Confucius say, one man’s “work” is another man’s web surfing time.” Although they do put in long hours, what exactly is accomplished by them, what about down time when they are not directly in the midst of a campaign's height?
FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF $407,936.83
So we return to where we started. What is this money buying? This number is a most fruitful point of discussion. The point is, are you getting what you pay for? Or better yet, who is paying for this and why are they? What are they getting for it?
See my fellow members of King's court, a good blog post poses more questions than it answers. Champaign wishes and caviar dreams!

Area Religious Leaders to fight Cleveland's Gay Registry

Not only did it pick up speed, but we may soon be seeing sissy's in Speedos and cowboys in assless chap's if the Gaylympics, accompanied by a Gay Rodeo, are hosted here.
"Out in Cleveland" has reported The Cleveland Synergy Foundation has recently hired the global public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard International Communications to help organize landing the 20014 Gaylympics.
Oh boy, I can't wait - we will have a "flamer," with a flaming Gaylympic torch skipping down Euclid Ave. being cheered on by a bunch of bi-sexual, bare-back rodeo riders!
Adding legitimacy to the City of Cleveland becoming a Sanctuary City for Sissy's, is the foolishness by the City of Cleveland Clowncil. With the infrastructure failing, police radios barely working, clowncil members getting arrested, etc... they enact a Gay Registry.
Since all the conservative leaders in this area, (are there any? Oh wait the RPCC pretends they have some...), sit with that dumb & ineffective "but we try" look on their face, but as always - do nothing, the City of Cleveland continues dragging this whole region down.
But thankfully we have some area religious leaders willing to fight in attempts at keeping Cleveland from becoming the new Homo-Haven of the United States...
From the PD --
Several local pastors have banded together in an effort to repeal Cleveland's recently passed domestic-partner registry.
A group led by the Rev. C. Jay Matthews of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is circulating two types of petitions, one of which would put the controversial issue on a citywide referendum ballot.
Matthews cast the registry as a sneaky maneuver by the City Council to circumvent a 2004 constitutional amendment that banned gay-marriage and civil unions in Ohio.
"It should be handled by the state of Ohio and, unfortunately, our city is once again out of step with the reality of the challenges that are before us," Matthews said at news conference Tuesday at his church. He was joined by seven other religious leaders. More...
But here is the most upsetting thing out of all this... many of the so-called conservative leaders, so-called visionaries of conservatism and "social club" members of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County, in violations of our bylaws, donated money and actively supported the elected DEMOCRAT clowncilman responsible for the Gay Registry -- Cleveland's biggest clown -- Joe Simpleman.
Yep, you got it Cuyahoga County Conservative Sparky - while the leaders of the RPCC sat silent, party officers and long time party members supported the person responsible for this slippery slope type thinking that is bringing Cleveland a Gay Registry.
"Here's the thing: if they're against gay marriage, then say that," said Councilman Joe Cimperman, who sponsored the registry's creation. "This is not about gay marriage."With this, since we cannot count on our $400K+ a year party leaders, I am asking and urging all members of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County to support the initiative to put a city-wide referendum on the ballot.

Time for a "CHANGE" in the Cuyahoga County Republican Party
The PD comments on the treasure chest of money local attorneys will be raking in over the Cuy Co. corruption scandal. Again - every one being investigated has the right to obtain the best counsel they can - but that counsel has an ethical & moral obligation to decline based on past, present or future conflicts of interest. That is if they have any integrity or sense of duty.
After the RPCC Chairman Rob Frost calls for Russo to step down because of alleged misconduct in office - what the hell is the attorney for our Central Committee doing representing him!?!?!?
The top lawyers who have been retained include several who used to be federal prosecutors in Cleveland. That list includes Bill Beyer, who represents Vince Russo, and Roger Synenberg, who has been retained by Vince's father, Cuyahoga County Recorder Frank Russo. This, and the results of this last election confirms that the RPCC, the current leadership structure, and the select "social club" members that pull the strings are nothing more than abject failures. The party has become nothing more than a hinderance in our attempts of advancing Republican/Conservative ideals and most importantly improving Cuyahoga County.
Their inability to face and acknowledge their failures, combined with a complete lack of even being relevant in Cuyahoga County politics or events, and with officers openly working against the interest of our party, willfully violate our bylaws and operate in defiance of Chairman Rob Frost - shows a leadership change from top to bottom is in order.
I had a conversation with Chairman Frost and was kindly informed that Roger Synenberg is no longer legal counsel for the RPCC. Chairman Frost indicated that when he was reelected in January – Patrick O’Donnell was appointed legal counsel for the Central Committee and Dan Carter is the legal counsel for the Executive Committee.
To explain the mistake – Roger was legal counsel for the Central Committee during Frost’s first term as Chairman of the RPCC. At the time of the first post – the RPCC website still had Roger listed as holding this position. Furthermore, a fellow RPCC member indicated in at least two conversations, after Frost’s reelection, that he feels he was led to believe Roger was still representing our party. Regardless, it is incorrect. Does that change how I feel? Absolutely not! He is still an active, participating RPCC member and I expect better - especially from someone who has held previous leadership positions in our party. Namely – being a past chairman!Monday, November 3, 2008
King’s Right Site Ohio & Cuyahoga County Republican Slate Card
Elect Judge Kathleen Ann Sutula for Cuyahoga County Probate Court
As we all know it is very important to keep and to advance good judges. This is why it is imperative to elect Judge Kathleen Ann Sutula for Cuyahoga County Probate Court.
Through her hard work, dedication and sound judicial decisions after serving 17 yrs on the Common Pleas Court, Judge Sutula is one judge we can say has truly served the best interests of Cuyahoga County residents.
Judge Sutula has been endorsed not only by the Plain Dealer but many police & firefighters throughout the county. Not to mention the many ethnic groups and many of the labor unions.
Judge Sutula has presided over some very high profile cases such as, the drunk driving lady who drove 13 miles the wrong way on the highway killing a newlywed couple; the lawyer who stole over $5 million from the estates of working class people; and the pedophile who wanted to start his own church to offer a safe haven for child molesters. In each of these cases Judge Sutula did the right thing in protecting the residents interests and had these people placed in the gray bar hotel for a very, very long time.
Judge Sutula’s opponent is playing the typical Cuyahoga County “name game.” Judge Sutula’s opponent while having the last name Gallagher is NOT a judge and is not related to any judges. In fact, twice Cuyahoga County voters have rejected this Gallagher in her previous unsuccessful attempts at becoming a judge. Now she wants to try a third time.
We cannot afford someone without any judicial experience presiding over the delicate type of cases handled in Probate Court. By voting for Judge Kathleen Ann Sutula you will be electing a proven entity that has humbly and proudly served Cuyahoga County residents.

DO NOT ELECT Annette Butler for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor
I am tired, no - sick and tired of continually being asked to support candidates that do not support the values, morals and bylaws of our party. Therefore King’s Right Site is rescinding our endorsement of Annette Butler for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor.

Here are some of the comments going around (in blue) and my rebuttal….
'...maybe Annette had no choice and perhaps someone put the sign in her front lawn. I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.'
Give me a break! This is the United States - what choice didn't she have? If someone put the sign in her yard - she could have removed it.
'She could be put in a tough position living on East Blvd.'
Here is where the idiocy shines through - If an Obama sign in her front yard puts her in a tough position because she lives on East Blvd - how will she be able to be tough on crime when some of the people she will prosecute may also live on East Blvd.?
'I know several people who had signs put in their lawns and did not know what to do. One was a Mason sign.'
Mason's munchkins are known for just placing his signs in people yards. This has been a trademark of his for several years. But I must ask are people really that stupid? They did not know what to do when an unwanted sign was placed in their lawn? How about remove it!
Under this ignorant line of thinking - these people would allow a complete stranger to put something in their yard they do not agree with. Yet I bet they would call police if a strange car were parked near their house.
'Certainly we have all contributed to causes we do not believe in...even some of our big GOP contributors.'
Since I have dignity, self-respect, pride, ethics, a spine and a strong desire for being able to look in the mirror and into my sons eyes - I can say I am not one of the "we have all" type people. Again, this goes to what I stated above about the problem with the "sheep" in our party.
How in the hell could someone with even an ounce of integrity and a shred of dignity support something or someone they do not believe in? This is the one reason the RPCC continually puts forth poor candidates - because the "sheep" in our party support things they do not believe in.

Cuyahoga County Commissioner Candidate Debbie Sutherland supporters should be grateful for PD Endorsement
Endorsement of Sutherland for Cuyahoga County commissioner merited more enthusiasm - letter to the editor
Monday, September 15, 2008
I have read with interest and disgust over the last few months about the lack of accountability and corruption in county government. The Plain Dealer has done a terrific job of investigating and analyzing the antics of several of its members. I was happy to see your endorsement of Deborah Sutherland for Cuyahoga County commissioner. However, I was disappointed that it seemed half-hearted.
If Cuyahoga County continues to allow one party to run its government, it will never realize any accountability and will continue to see waste and corruption. After grabbing our attention with “County in crisis,” it seems to me that you would be more serious about making a change.
Gina Luketic
North Canton --end letter--
There are a couple items in this letter that I would like to comment but first want to get the following out of the way… Ms. Luketic should worry about her town of North Canton and not Cuyahoga County.
Now in specifically addressing her temper tantrum and whine that the Rag Dealer’s endorsement of Bay Village Mayor Deborah Sutherland for Cuyahoga County Commissioner was not sufficient and half-hearted. Maybe Luketic thought bells & whistles should have accompanied the endorsement. Possibly even a back flip and a little Obama-like praise should have been showered on the candidate for which Luketic will not even be able to vote.
Luketic’s letter clearly shows her lack of knowledge regarding Cuyahoga County and an absolute lack of political acumen. In her letter she states --
If Cuyahoga County continues to allow one party to run its government....
Really? Continues to allow? What choice do the voters have Ms. Luketic?
I wonder if Luketic is aware that for a two party county to exist, there needs to be another party? Another party that has the desire, the structure, quality candidates and the leadership needed to be effective. Due to the fact that an effective party does not exist – your request for accountability will go unheard.
It should come as no surprise that pretty much the ONLY reason Sutherland got the endorsements is because –
- She supported the forced tax increase for the $1 Billion Med/Mart Convention Center the Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Plain Dealer & Commissioner Tim Hagan wanted. She served these parties well as a cheerleader for support in her role as leader of the Cuyahoga County Mayors & City Managers Association.
- She supported and is again a cheerleader for Commissioner Tim Hagan, the Plain Dealer, and The Greater Cleveland Partnership for the county reform. This county reform referendum would consolidate the control of now Commissioner Hagan and the same businessmen who have dragged our region to the depths of despair.
- Decided NOT TO RUN against Commissioner Tim Hagan. Hagan is the acknowledged mouthpiece and serves the interests of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and the Plain Dealer.
So the endorsement is not half-hearted, they felt they owed it to her!
Being a Good Samaritan and caring about her fellow Ohio residents, Luketic voices concern that after writing about the corruption investigation, the PD should be more assertive in their endorsement if they really want change.
Oh really?
First, Luketic must understand that the PD was part of the enabling factor in this corruption.
Did the PD ever challenge or write objectively about the democrats who have controlled our county?
For example, many of the people highlighted in the patronage article about Auditor Russo worked there for many years. How come only now the PD brings this up? Were they sleeping, not doing their job or just shilling for the local democrats that they helped keep in power?
Now lets address her “change” for change’s sake….
What will this change bring? Nothing if the wrong commissioner up for reelection is targeted?
Being 3 commissioners, a 2-1 vote carries any motion or legislation. With the current cabal of commissioners the vote on many of the issues and projects, ( funding for Med Mart/Convention Center, forced sales tax increase, Ameritrust Complex, Asbestos abatement at Ameritrust complex, Juvenile Justice Center, and Illegal voting contracts), being questioned were 2-1.
The lone opposing vote on many of the issues being questioned and that Sutherland is campaigning on, is cast by Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones. So why would she not run against Hagan? Hagan is more often than not the brainchild on many of the issues she is campaigning against and the crux of the troubles facing Cuyahoga County residents today.
So let’s do the math….
Currently we have one Cuyahoga County Commissioner who votes for the best interests of the residents. That vote is usually over ridden in a 2-1 vote.
Ok – now for the so-called change for improvement…. The one commissioner voting in the best interest of the residents loses and is replaced by Sutherland. Sutherland claims she will vote for the best interests of the residents… (forget her support of the forced sales tax increase and the Med Mart/Convention Center for now). Ok so now we have our change – or do we?
The vote would still remain 2-1 – NO CHANGE!
This of course would only be IF Sutherland really is the voice of change. SO far her actions don’t prove it! In her own words Sutherland stated she supported the forced sales tax increase and $1 Billion Med Mart/Convention Center because – “Tim Hagan worked so hard on it.” So, the vote for the forced sales tax increase would have been 3-0 had Sutherland been commissioner.
One thing we learned here is that Ms. Luketic needs to be more politically astute. A math class or two, maybe even a beginners Poly Sci class would not hurt either. Would our party and the voters not be better served if someone did the right thing and run against Hagan – the one commissioner who routinely ignores what is best for the voters?
While Sutherland would not win against Hagan (and she has a better chance of seeing God than she has of beating PLJ too) but all the democrats in this area would see someone, a Republican, is standing up for what is right and what is best for them - the voters.
Don’t think a democrat will vote for a Republican in Cuyahoga County? Check the records they do and they will – if they have a reason.
Don’t mistakenly think that I don't believe we need change – we desperately do! But until the RPCC begins to lead with integrity and we find good candidates willing to run for the right reason (just winning is not the right reason), nothing will change.
The way for change is not through indebted endorsements from the Rag Dealer. The way for change is showing the residents of this county that there are leaders with integrity. Show them that there are leaders who will stand up for what is right. We cannot afford any more political mouthpieces serving the best interest of those that have screwed the residents for so long.
Supporting everything and/or being silent on everything until it is politically expediant to complain about it is not being a leader. It is an insult to the residents of this county when someone who had the position and the forum to speak out about these ills we face, only speaks out after nothing can be done.
Until we, the RPCC, as a party begin ridding ourselves of the social club members that have infected our ranks there will be no change. Until we, the RPCC, as a party begin standing for what is right and not what will serve the best personal interests of a few party members nothing will change. Until a concerted effort is made to reintroduce the RPCC to the voters, and educate the voters of Cuyahoga County of who we are and for what we stand, we will continue to lose elections.
What Ms. Luketic fails to see is that we, the RPCC and our leaders, have given the voters nothing. We have not stood up for what is right and defended them against corruption and lack of accountability. We as a party have not held the democrats accountable. So all the voters see is more of the same – politicians willing to say or do anything for a vote. In Cuyahoga County that does not bode well for Republicans or the future of our party.
While I am not submitting this post to the Rag Dealer, I have a funny feeling that "Ms. Luketic" will see my remarks. I would like to ask her the following –
- Are you aware the RPCC Chairman Rob Frost not only condones, but heaps praise on party members who make monetary donations to democrat candidates over Republican candidates? This would be considered a direct violation of our by-laws and grounds for disciplinary proceedings - not a reason to be celebrated!
- Are you aware that against the wishes of RPCC members, that Chairman Frost, with the support and at the urging of the candidate that Ms. Luketic requests back flips for, pulled party support for requesting the forced sales tax increase for the $1 Billion Med Mart/Convention Center be put on the ballot?
Yes Ms. Luketic – the budget crisis our county faces must have just came up in the last week or so. Things like a predicted $38 Million shortage in 10 yrs always pop out of the blue. But when we are facing a budget crisis - why shouldn’t the county leaders, namely the unopposed Commissioner Tim Hagan, with the support of her “Lets do back flips” candidate, forcefully impose a sales tax increase and spend more county money for a pipe dream of a project?
- Are you aware Ms. Luketic that the so-called leaders of the RPCC had intentions of asking the rank and file to nominate a registered democrat to run for a judges seat?
- Are you aware that when many of the things you imply are the reason for Cuyahoga County’s woes were introduced – many of the RPCC sat silent?
- Are you aware the that the one Republican County Chairman with probably the worst record of getting candidates elected is one of the very, very few chairman who take a salary? This salary could go towards helping candidates and making the change you requested and we need.
So until we clean up our house, take out the trash, begin doing things for the right reason and stop supporting candidates that do not advance our party or improve the lives of Cuyahoga county voters – we cannot force the democrats to be accountable. Until WE give the voters a reason to vote for another candidate – there will be one party rule.
Without having a firm grasp and understanding of the issues, for not being able to think on her own, for advancing talking points of the GCP and NOT having the support of rank & file RPCC members - Ms. Luketic should be grateful that the Rag Dealer is again not requiring candidates too earn their endorsements and are just handing them out to some candidates!

Re Elect Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Richard J. McMonagle
With the increase in crime residents of our county need to make sure we hold our judges accountable. Cuyahoga County Common Please Judge Richard J. McMonagle has proved, time and time again, he is an accountable and dedicated jurist.
McMonagle's long service on the bench stems from his hard work and fairness. McMonagle, being a forward thinker has pushed for new technology in the courts. Much of this technology has improved security in the court rooms and has contributed greatly on increasing efficiency.
From the PD --
Besides the PD, McMonagle has earned endorsements from the following groups; This court hears civil cases where the amount in question is greater than $15,000, as well as felony criminal cases.
THE CANDIDATES:
Richard J. McMonagle,
66, a Common Pleas judge since first elected in 1978. Before his time on the bench, McMonagle, a Republican, worked in private practice for 12 years.
Lynn McLaughlin Murray,
44, magistrate for Cleveland Municipal Court. The Democrat has also worked for Cleveland's Law Department.
OUR VIEW:
Murray has good ideas for improving the court, such as adding specialized dockets for domestic violence cases, and seems to have a solid grasp of the court's strengths and weaknesses. However, McMonagle has shown he's a more-than-able jurist for more than two decades, serving as presiding judge for half that time. He implemented arraignments by video conferencing and has pressed for improvements in the court's information technology. He runs an efficient docket and he's earned a reputation for fairness and dedication. He deserves another six-year term.

Mayfield Mayor Bruce Rinker gets the Boot from Cuyahoga County Democrat Party
From the PD --
Mayfield Mayor Bruce Rinker, a Democrat, will be thrown off the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Executive Committee once the party confirms his support of Republican Deborah Sutherland, who is a candidate for county commissioner. Colleen Corrigan Day, the party's executive director, said bylaws dictate that committee members must support the party's endorsed candidates.
Well look at that... a political party demanding the members follow the rules! A very novel idea, indeed! The Cuyahoga Democrat party throws out members who do not support their endorsed candidate - on the other hand the RPCC praises members when they support democrats over our endorsed candidates.
As we can see the RINO patrol at RPCC HQ is willing to abduct any warm body for candidates - Rinker will be the next democrap trolling for a new home. I am sure if he is interested the RINO Party of Cuyahoga County will take him.
And the sheep of our party can't figure out why we always lose! And again, can someone PLEASE tell me why Hagan is unopposed?!?!?

UPDATE: Lance Mason's Opponent?
I have to admit, I've never heard of her, so if any of our readers can fill us in, that would be great.

Cuyahoga County Republican Party Legal Counsel representing Democrat in Corruption Probe
The troubling and confusing part of this story for me is the following comment...
Russo did not respond to a request for comment left with his lawyer, Roger Synenberg.
So I have to ask.... after the RPCC Chairman Rob Frost calls for Russo to step down because of alleged misconduct in office - what the hell is the attorney for our Central Committee doing representing him!?!?!?
While this may not be a conflict of interest - this IS another example of piss poor judgement by Snakenberg and the RINO clan at the RPCC.
For the record, Synenberg also represented Vincent Carbone who was recently convicted on charges of conspiracy and money laundering for his role in the scandal involving a Lorain County Commissioner and their justice center complex. Carbone also has been named as a person involved with the Ameritrust complex purchased by Cuyahoga County Commissioners that is being investigated by the FBI.
Republican Party of Cuyahoga County Splog
Open dialogue? Not a chance! By requiring your name and email when leaving a comment they can be sure only soft ball type questions and remarks would be left by members of their "social club." Nobody that is unhappy or disagrees with our broken party would dare be open and honest (except me and a few others) for fear of retribution by the "Social Club" members. A regular commenter on KRS, "The Nose," believes in the near future a DNA sample may be required to leave a comment on their splog. In the first days of the Rough Writers Splog comments were able to be left unmoderated. After being asked a few tough questions that they refused to answer,...I would hope that this forum will let our members comment on the state of the Republican Party at the local, state and national levels and also give us the necessary feedback to review the direction of our local County Party.
....everyone will receive the same courtesies extended to them from the RPCC staff. We will not always agree on every issue, but putting those issues in the light and discussing them in an open forum can only lead to a better understanding for all of us.
all comments are now moderated. So much for open dialogue!
Why do I call it a splog? Well it pretty much speaks for itself! One of the funniest examples is when the Rough guys posted a great piece about the role of a county party. The post was written by Matt Hurley of Weapons of Mass Discussion. Not realizing Matt is a true conservative, unlike them, the Rough Guys stepped in their own pile of conservative crap. In attempts at portraying the RPCC under Little Robbie's leadership as effective, competent, successful or conservative, they try passing Matt's words off as their beliefs.
Buckle up kiddies the spin starts here! Matt wrote...The only time a Republican should ever support a Democrat is if the Republican violates one of these principles. Support is defined as a vote or a donation. If a Republican is supporting a Democrat, the Republicans all over the state are losing. We are all connected and a crack in the foundation anywhere can bring the whole structure down on itself.
I am dizzy from spin on this one! I agree 100% with Matt!!! Only problem is - Frost has publicly stated he does not care if his party officers donate too democrats. In fact - at our last Central Committee meeting, even though it is a clear violation of our by laws, Frosty heaped praise on many of these so-called good Republicans for giving democrats money.
SO, by Frost believing a Republican can donate money to a democrat and then having the above posted - would you say the Rough Writers Splog is being dishonest or being hypocrites?

Golden RINO Award - State Senator Bob Spada
Boys & girls it's that time again!
King's Right Site is handing out another - Senator George Voinovich "Golden RINO Award."
The recepient of this award must show their RINOesque abilities go above and beyond when they slap conservative politics in the face - much like the the man the award is named after. Todays winner not only slaps conservative politics in the face - he gives us a swift kick in our conservative buckeyes!
This well earned Senator George Voinovich "Golden RINO Award" goes to none other then a card carrying member of the RINO Party of Cuyahoga County - state Senator Bob Spada!
From the PD --
In a move that scrambles Republican plans to hold the Ohio House, a pair of GOP lawmakers appear on their way to ending their election campaigns and landing government posts offered by the Democratic governor.
Meanwhile, Republican sources are saying that state Sen. Bob Spada, a North Royalton Republican, will end his bid for the 18th District House seat to take a seat on the state employment relations board.
The sources are correct. Hauling back with his foot Spada delivers the swift kick in our conservative buckeyes by backing out of a race he would have easily won. Spada, who I am sure most of the rank & file RPCC members have been told is a great guy, a good party guy and the best thing sinced sliced bread, but Spada shows his true colors by saying screw the party.
Earlier this week, Dark Knight posted this...
This shows how weak the GOP has become not only on the local level, but also on the state level. When you have unprincipled candidates who will sell out to the highest bidder rather than fight for a seat this is what you get. Great candidate recruitment! Kiss the State House goodbye RINO's! Hold on tight kids, it's gonna be a bumpy November.
While some people are trying to say this was a desperate move by Rev. Ted, it is not! It was a stroke of political brillance not seen in Ohio for quite some time. Because of Spada, the human cure for insomnia (if you have ever heard him speak you know what I mean), we will most likely lose control of the Ohio House.
Thanks Bob... Great party guy you are - Senator RINOvich will be over to help you polish your horn!

Excited Tools in Cuyahoga County
