Another Cleveland Crook

And here we have another Cleveland Cesspoolman, Robert White, resigning his seat for getting caught with his fat fingers in the cookie jar...

From the PD --
Cleveland City Councilman Robert J. White III resigned Tuesday, a day after being charged by federal prosecutors with accepting a $500 bribe.

White's lawyer, Edward LaRue, said Monday that the 12-year councilman from Ward 2 took the money in exchange for helping to get the city-owned power company to restore electricity to an unidentified business and that White was preparing a guilty plea.

If convicted, White is likely to face some time in prison. The maximum penalty is 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. More...

  1. King,

I've read the story, and I'm left wondering- what party is White a member of? It doesn't say anywhere.

  2. Prince are you sure? Let me go read it again... Yep, you are right! Huh, wonder why the PD wouldn't identify White's party affiliation?

I guess they are happy with the dems running Cleveland, unlike the county, so they leave that out.

Or maybe the PD just assumed everyone knows the RPCC can't get a Republican elected in Cleveland or at the county level and would just figure White was a Democrat.

How many Republicnas are on City of Cleveland Council? LOL - for that matter - how many Republicans are at any elected position in the County?

    And your final answer is...

  4. so then we should forget about being competetive whether it be on the west side or east side? So we shouldn't even try to be competetive at the county level?

When is the last time we ran a credible candidate for a countywide office? Debbie Sutherland was NOT a credible candidate.

How about even trying to be relevant! When is the last time the RPCC was even relevant in anything with Cuyahoga County? MedMart, Ameritrust, Reform - none of them!

Hell the frickin guy who helped draft our reform backed down from Stokes even though he had enough votes to over ride him! Great leadership!

So take your smartass little defense and stick it up your "social club" ass! Your head up your ass line of thinking is what has destroyed the RPCC. You buffoons would rather sit there and use excuses like the above as to why you CAN'T do anything!

Personally, I like Rob. He just needs to grow a set and start ridding the party of the broken old corpses hanging around pulling the strings. A little Snakenberg hunting would help too.
