Obama finally comes clean on Government Health Care Option

Speaking at a Town Hall in New Hampshire Chairman Obamao finally comes clean on how effective the goverment option of his hellthcare will be...

From the PD --
Obama sought to dispel talk that his ultimate goal is a single-payer federal health care system, like that in countries such as Canada.

He also disputed the notion that adding a government-run insurance plan into a menu of options from which people could pick would drive private insurers out of business, in effect making the system single-payer by default.

As long as they have a good product and the government plan has to sustain itself through premiums and other non-tax revenue, private insurers should be able to compete with the government plan, Obama said.

"They do it all the time," he said. "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. ... It's the Post Office that's always having problems."

So, the government plan will be effective as the Post Office.... oh goody!

  2. Hey man, you and I are on the complete opposite sides of the political spectrum, but I had to write this to you. I got a chance to see you in a video where you showed your more noble side, and it represents the nobler side of the conservative cause that doesn't get enough attention. You disagreed with the way some elements of America have thrown all respect for our discourse out the window by showing a picture of the president as Hitler. And you showed a great amount of integrity for the office and institution of the presidency.

I have family who are conservative, and I love the hell out of all of them despite the fact that their views aren't at all mine. Your side needs more voices like yours and not corporate windbags like Limbaugh and Beck.

You won my respect, and you gave me some hope that the more intelligent and deliberate ones in your ranks can get more attention. You deserve it. Every American deserves to have their say in this discourse, our fathers and grandfathers died to give this right to us and we must never squander it. But those who would murken the waters of debate with hate speech, buzzwords, and misinformation run counter to that right. Our side has code pink after all, and we wince whenever they take the stage as well.

God Bless, and thank you. I believe you to be a good man and an even better American!

  3. Anonymous,

Apparently you don't read King enough. I will totally agree with you on how he comes off in Tim at BloggerInterrupted's video here:

However, on this site Ralph uses the same exact Hitler imagery that he says he does not agree with. I'll tell you this. I'm on the complete opposite side of the political spectrum as Ralph and during some heated online feuds he and I spoke on the phone. He was very classy and reasoned and we even agreed that we both regarded one another as "great Americans". The problem is his online rhetoric devolved into the same king of right wing lunacy as Beck and Limbaugh not long after.

While Ralph says he does not think Obama is the same as Hitler, he has no problem painting the same exact imagery in his writing:

"Soon all of Chairman Obamao’s goose-stepping goons filling many of the union ranks will be forced to wear little red arm bands with an “O” in the middle as a way of showing their allegiance…

…So if your vote in the past election was not meant to turn fellow Americans against each other, come join the fight in saving our country from the Nazi-like direction we are being taken on!"

I'd like to return to opinion of Ralph after that phone call and would love to pay him the 20 spot I owe him (long story) and maybe have a beer. It's hard to do with such mixed signals though.
