Here's your chance to waste a perfectly good evening - The Public forum on the Convention Center/MedMart plans

If anyone is sitting home doing nothing on May 22 at 5:30pm, has a desire to be completely ignored and has a couple hours of their life to waste you can go to the public hearings on the ill-fated Convention Center / MedMart.

The KuyaHOGa Kounty Kommissioners will be hosting a dog & pony show so residents can voice their opinion on the site selection for the next silver butt bullet being rammed up the residents a**.

After ignoring requests to have the forced sales tax increase for the project be put on the ballot, The Greater Cleveland Partnership (The Cleveland Illuminati), The Plain Dealer (The Propaganda Dealer) and Kommissioners want our input.

From The Propaganda Dealer --

A committee appointed by the partnership, the region's largest chamber of commerce, plans to recommend a location to Cuyahoga County Commissioners by early June.

The commissioners have the final say on location, but will consider recommendations from MMPI, the partnership and the public, Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones said.

A public forum has been scheduled for May 22.

Four sites are under consideration including the current Lakeside Avenue convention center site next to and under downtown's park-like malls and a riverfront center connected with a Medical Mart in Tower City Center.

Commissioner Jimmy Dimora also has asked the partnership to consider a lakefront site just west of Cleveland Browns Stadium. And Jones added a site on the edge of the Warehouse District. More...

Notice how they make the public forum at 5:30pm - I wonder is it to keep most working people away? Or maybe they figure most people are unemployed from their other failed projects to bring in jobs.
  • What: Public forum on Cleveland's convention center/Medical Mart
  • When: May 22, 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: Centers for Families and Children, 4500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland
I would rather watch paint dry!

  2. I feel the same way about central/executive committee meetings being at 5:30 PM. What working class, productive...oh wait...that's the point. The central/executive committee meetings are intentionally put at 5:30 PM to keep the peons away from these meetings.

I guess if your late morning meetings end in time for you to make a lunch time tee time at the Club you can make to the executive commitee meeting at 5:30 PM. No wonder turnout is always so bad...or maybe its that they ran everyone off.

  4. Well I thought all the Democrats are all working. The Republicans don't have any jobs to give to their people. They are really not much help to their own are they? I think the part about alot of them running off is accurate. Who is going to stick around and give their effort, time blood sweat and tears for a Party that doesn't care about them?
You know the Democratic Party is screwed up, but they do understand Loyalty and how to take care of their own.
