Antics: Won’t man up about his ‘sins’.

Porcus’ favorite steroid punk, Barry Bonds, is doing what comes naturally, by trying to dodge any accountability for his own actions. Having eluded a MLB slapdown, and ducked any meaningful retribution for his steroid punk antics, Barry tripped over his tongue while testifying before a federal grand jury in December 2003. As a result, the feds are trying to bag, tag, and shag Barry on perjury charges.

Will Barry finally man up and take responsibility for his own actions? You know better, tragically deluded Sparky. Barry is doing his usual tap dance around the truth, trying for a ‘missed me again’ trifecta.

How, you ask, is Barry trying to duck this one? He’s claiming that the charges against him are much too vague. The feds are deliberately trying to confuse poor Barry with these vague charges, making it next to impossible for him to keep his lies straight:

‘...The 43-year-old all-time home run leader was indicted two months ago on charges he lied to a grand jury in December 2003 about using performance-enhancing drugs while being questioned in the probe into the BALCO steroids scandal. His lawyers maintain that the charges are so "scattershot" and confusing that Bonds cannot even defend himself. The motion asks U.S. District Judge Susan Illston to consider the argument Feb. 29, urging her to either toss out the case or order prosecutors to rewrite the indictment to clarify the charges...’ (Chicago Tribune)

For lacking the spine to be a man...for being an utter and complete weasel...for his unrelenting caterwauling...for his ongoing failure to take any responsibility for his own action...for all these and numerous other reasons, Barry "Why Does Porcus Hate Me?" Fonzie gets a Statue - RINOvich wins Award

Some cities have statues of famous football or baseball players, famous citizens or past presidents, war memorials, etc.... Usually the statues have a connection or have a sense of "identity" for the community.

Residents of Milwaukee will be getting a "Bronze Fonz" -

A statue of Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli, the leather-jacketed biker from "Happy Days," will be erected in the city where the TV sitcom was set, now that local groups have raised the $85,000 needed to do it, civic leaders said Friday.

Henry Winkler, who played Fonzie during the show's run from 1974 to 1984, called the "Bronze the Fonz" project "a phenomenal compliment."

I think that is just great for the "Fonz"! Happy Days was a TV show the whole family could watch and enjoy. Though I do think Mrs. C had a "thing" for Fonzie!

Speaking of "things" and statues leads to the next part of this post.... and I sure hope nobody builds a statue of this guy!

I think it goes without saying that having the "Golden RINO Award" created in his name, will bring a Hannity-like tear to the eyes of the emotionally challenged Senator RINOvich.

Like the "Fonz," Senator RINOvich feels it is a "phenomenal compliment" to have an award, such as this, named after him.

Unfortunately Senator RINOvich is busy shining his "horn" before he, again, skillfully inserts it into the derriere of common sense, the American public & conservative values!

Pakistan Tests Nuclear Capable Missile

Dismissing it as routine, but sure to worry India, Pakistan has conducted another test of the Shaheen-1 medium range ballistic missile. The Shaheen-1 is capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads.

Pakistan's military says it has successfully fired a medium-range ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

The Shaheen-1 (Hatf IV) has a range of 700km (440 miles). It was launched at the end of a training session.

Pakistan and its neighbour India - both nuclear powers - routinely carry out missile tests.

President Pervez Musharraf has dismissed fears that his country's nuclear weapons could be acquired by Islamist militants.

India must be just overcome with joy that their nuclear nemisis is testing nuclear capable missiles. We can be sure this will get Sen. George RINOvich (The Great Horned One) renewing his calls for the sweetheart "123 Agreement" he is pushing for India and the U.S.

While RINOvich pushes for what is sure to turn the arms race with Pakistan & India into a NASCAR event - some responsible people are concerned about Pakistans nuke's falling into the hands of terrorists.

The confirmed ties of terrorists assasinating former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto to protect the rogue Islamic nuke nut - Dr. Abdul Qadeer Kahn, aka "Father of the Pakistani Bomb," only reaffirms these concerns.

Current Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who is visiting the UK for tea with Prime Minister Gordon Brown, spouted as long as we help keep him in power to fight terrorism - we have nothing to be concerned about --

"We are in the forefront fighting terrorism and extremism, our success is critical. We have to win because if we lose I think it will have an impact on the region and the world, maybe in the streets of Europe.

Pakistan has a number of nuclear-capable missiles"So therefore we have to be together and we have to reinforce each other, encourage each other, support each other, instead of criticising and insinuating," he said.

He denied that Pakistan was involved in any "double-crossing", insisting: "We are not doing this for anyone, we are doing this for ourselves, for Pakistan. And I believe that."

The president said that the only way for militants to gain access to Pakistan's nuclear arsenal would be if al-Qaeda or the Taleban overthrew the army or if extremist religious groups won next month's elections. More....

Ohio has Record Number of Eagles

In a bit of good news from Ohio - The Bald Eagle is back and kicking butt!

Earlier this year the American Bald Eagle was removed from the Endangered Species List. After nearly being wiped out from the use of DDT pesticides in the 70's the Eagle has made a remarkable come back.

This year a record 649 eagles have been spotted in Ohio - that is big jump over the 554 eagles spotted in 2006.

We can now proudly say - in Ohio the eagle is now, well... soaring like an Eagle.

"They're practically growing exponentially," said Mark Shieldcastle, a biologist with the Division of Wildlife who helps coordinate the count from the Crane Creek Wildlife Research Station in western Ohio. "We now have a healthy population of eagles."

Observers spotted 45 birds in landlocked Trumbull County, ranking it a suprising third highest in the state. Lou Orosz, manager at Mosquito Creek Wildlife Area about an hour east of Cleveland, said the park has five nests.

"This is an area with a tremendous amount of water nearby-- from Mosquito Creek and Shenango reservoirs to the Grand River and several creeks," Orosz said. More....

I just love Painesville Muny Judge Michael Cicconetti!

Judge Cicconetti has a unique way of sentencing criminals that touches on all aspects of rehabilitation. Instead of just sitting in jail to watch reruns of Jerry Springer & Oprah, the judge also wants the person to learn a lesson. As the person has committed a crime in his community, the occasion is also used to educate others in the community by sending a message.

In this case Judge Cicconetti once again "serves" justice by sentencing a criminal in the most meaningful way!

Painesville Municipal Judge Michael Cicconetti ordered Nathen Smith, 28, to live on the streets on Thursday as punishment for stealing cash from a Salvation Army Christmas kettle.

Smith pleaded guilty to theft and was fitted with a Global Positioning System to track his whereabouts. Officials expected he might spend the night at the Homeless Shelter in Painesville but ordered him not to stay in his home or a friend's home.

Cicconetti included a three-day jail sentence as part of the punishment in lieu of a 90-day jail stay. More...

Taking it a step further Judge Cicconetti will sentence this social misfit to a term of community service that will be equal to the amount of his fines AND cost of the GPS unit.

I posted about some of Judge Cicconetti's creativity earlier this year when he sentenced 3 men to wear a chicken suit for 3 hours and carry a sign reading, "No Chicken Ranch in Painesville," for soliciting prostitution.

We're thinking big for the 101st Carnival. As in the biggest -- or at least tallest -- building in the world. The honor currently goes to the Taipei 101 Tower in Taipei, Taiwan. That may change as four proposed buildings would rise higher. It seems that any number of countries in Asia and the Middle East want to prove their prominence by building the world's tallest building. Meanwhile, in post-9/11 America, our attitude seems to be "Tall buildings? No, we don't have tall buildings here. Ohio Legislators should be forced to return paychecks!

If you worked at McDonald's, the corner store, a gas station, you would be forced to pay if your cash drawer was short - right? If you were a corporate big wig and you told stock holders you blew the budget by about $670 - $677 million dollars - you would probably get fired or demoted to janitor.

If you are an elected state official in Ohio and face this kind of mishap - don't worry - you can keep your job by blaming it on something or someone else. The just tell the public your going to "tighten your belt" on spending. They will be busy watching American Idol and not paying attention.

Our elected cone heads claim are going to "tighten the belt" on spending and they do.... what they don't tell us is we keep getting a bigger belt! All they do is keep tightening their ever-growing belt to encompass the ever-growing waist/waste of government.

The state faces a budget shortfall of between $733 million and $1.9 billion dollars by the middle of next year, the governor's office said Wednesday.

The budget -- the Democratic governor's first -- was approved by the Republican-controlled legislature at the end of June with prediction of a $56 million surplus at the end of two years. More....

• Let's take the lower of the two estimated shortfalls --$733 million
• All the whiz kids in Columbus projected a surplus of -- $56 million
• This means they missed the budget by --- $677 Million.

How in the HELL does somebody make a $677 million dollar in crafting a budget. How poorly does it speak of our republicans that approved it!?!?

The PD is trying to soften this embarrassment by pointing out the loss of revenue from the phase out of the corporate franchise tax was close to $70 million. This is no excuse - they knew that tax was being phased out!

Even by being nice and giving them a pass on the $70 million loss due to phasing out the corporate franchise tax that leaves an estimated shortfall of $607 million!!!!! That anyone would even attempt to make excuses for a bust in numbers this large is an exercise in idiocy!

The voters of Ohio, republican, democrat and independent, ALL should expect more and surely deserve more from the cataclysmic cone heads in Columbus.

King Supports Keeler!

I am proud to help announce the candidacy of fellow republican, Ben Keeler, for the Summit County Republican Central Committee.

Ben, being part of Team Coughlin, will be making a stand against the authority of Alex Arshinikoff, once reputed to be one of the most powerful county chairs in the US and the current power structure running the Summit County Republicans.

I am running in the "Bath Precinct F." The precinct captain has one duty - to vote in the leadership race for the county party at the Central Committee meeting in May. That is it - by law it is not considered a state office. I kept it quiet until now because I wanted to make sure my petition to get on the ballot was not one of the ones questioned by Team Arshinkoff, the group that has presided over the recent string of defeats.

I can only wish Ben the best of luck! It appears the Summit Republicans are beginning to slide down to the performance level of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County.

There is a need all across Ohio for the "New Blood" of our party to come out and challenge the status quo.... it is broke, and broke very bad! Only by people such as Ben and the rest of "Team Coughlin" standing up for change- will this party be repaired.

The importance of a Central Committee role is all too often over looked by many that serve in this position. The Central Committee position is way to often dismissed as "pain in the asses" when they speak out. Only at endorsement time or when the party powers need something do these committee people become 'central'.

It is at this level of participation, County Central Committee's, that this change and repair of our party needs to begin. This change needs to transpire with change on the State Central Committee also. This change involves reintroducing our party, top to bottom, back to the voters of Ohio.

Every single conservative or republican, active in the party or not, needs to be aware, the ONLY way to improve our party is by making change at this base level. This begins by electing people such as Ben Keeler to rebuild that foundation.

Being a member of the Cuyahoga County Republican Party, (Bedford 4-C), I can appreciate Ben's disappointment and frustration in our party at the county level. Which is why, with out reservation, I support Ben in his run for this seat.

Having fellow republicans like Ben makes me feel there is still hope for our party!

Bomb Making Factory found in apartment of Columbia Professor

Police stumbled upon a bomb-making factory Sunday in the home of a Columbia professor who specializes in the spread of infectious disease - and are investigating whether he and his roommate have terror ties.

My introduction to politics was getting involved in the community in which I have lived for 35 yrs, Bedford, OH. During this time, I have been very active in all aspect of our community affairs ranging from running for council, working with the Lions Club, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce to the Bedford Garden Club. I am currently Vice President of the Bedford Historical Society

I have been involved with Republican party politics for about 6 years and serving on the Cuyahoga County Republican Party Central Committee for the last 4 years. In this time I have worked diligently within the limits of my role as a Central Committee member to expand and improve our conservative values in Cuyahoga County, Ohio & the United States.

I have volunteered on many local & county elections during this time. During the last presidential election I am proud to say that I was instrumental in bringing the Swift Boat Veterans & POW’s for Truth into the Bedford & Cuyahoga County for several speaking engagements. These two groups proved to be the most effective of any in our work to get President Bush reelected.

The current environment and past practices of our party are stifling our party’s growth. Our party sits at a very dangerous crossroad. Our old leadership did produce some meaningful victories but its’ failure to practice what it preached washed our party’s majorities away in a sea of scandal, tax increases, and fiscal irresponsibility. Furher Brunnehilda imposes Unfunded Mandates for Phantom Vote Rigging

I swear it is always the democrats that scream about "Unfunded Mandates." In a way it has become their universal excuse in attacking everything they don't like.

Now we have our Dictator of Ohio Elections, Furher Brunnehilda, unnecessarily imposing unfunded mandates. The mandate being imposed all stems from failed leadership at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and the previous board's inability to recognize failure and/or to correct incompetence that exceeded their own.

In her conquest to grease fellow democrats pockets under the auspices of voter integrity, the Furher is strong arming county election boards across Ohio and will be forcing the voters she swore to protect to bear this burden --

• Cuyahoga County: + $31 Million

• Butler County: + $1.5 million

• Clermont County: $796,906

• Hamilton County: $3.4 million

• Warren County: $769,714

We have heard Furher Brunnehilda crow that she is doing this for the voters. She is doing this to protect the integrity of voting; to instill confidence back in the voting process.

The Furher insists this switch must be done due to security concerns of the electronic machines raised in a study conducted by her office and a report from Tom Hayes of E.S. & S.

The Furher was a little clearer on her heartfelt feelings and the dangers her study revealed in a propaganda conference with county election officials last week.....

"If something did happen and I did nothing, I would be completely irresponsible," Brunner said. "Quite honestly, folks, it made me wonder how I was ever going to sleep again. These are the systems that we've spent hundreds of millions of dollars on all over the country. And you have worked so hard to implement your counties....

With security & potential hacking of the current machines being used as the catalyst for these unfunded mandates across Ohio, the Furher reveals the results of her findings....

Do I have evidence that these machines have been hacked? No, I don't.

So let's get this straight.....

Cuyahoga County is forced to make an illegal switch to optical scanners at the very last minute - quite possibly jeopardizing the voter rights she claims she is trying to protect, other counties are being forced to purchase optical scanners so they can offer the imposed paper ballots - ALL because she found NO EVIDENCE the current system has ever been hacked?!?!?!?

What makes this whole thing even more disturbing & disgustingly sad is what I found doing a search for the E.S. &S website!

The disturbing part is that Cuyahoga County is being forced to give a no-bid contract to E.S. & S. for optical scanners that have security and technical/programming issues of their own....

• Pottawattamie County, Iowa, June 2006 - Ballot programming error causes ES&S optical scanners to tabulate votes incorrectly.

• Harrison County, Indiana, May 2006 - Flawed ballot programming is detected during testing of optical scanners. Machines are sent to ES&S and reprogrammed, but are not returned in time to run a second test before primaries.

• West Virginia, May 2006 - ES&S provides flawed programming for optical scanners in four counties, delaying vote counts in two counties and skewing results in a third.

• Arkansas, May 2006 - ES&S provides flawed ballot programming for optical scanners in two counties, causing the machines to report incorrect results.

As for the Furher trying to restore integrity to the voting process in Ohio, well.... ES&S also has some serious integrity & legal problems. California Secretary of State Debra Bowen has recently filed suit for $15 million dollars against ES&S..... (bold added)

Secretary of State Debra Bowen today filed suit against Election Systems & Software, Inc. (ES&S) for nearly $15 million after a four-month investigation revealed the company had repeatedly violated state law.

Secretary Bowen is suing ES&S for $9.72 million in penalties for selling 972 machines that contained hardware changes that were never submitted to, or reviewed by, the Secretary of State. Furthermore, she is seeking nearly $5 million to reimburse the five counties that bought the machines believing they were buying certified voting equipment.

“ES&S ignored the law over and over and over again, and it got caught,” said Bowen, the state’s top elections officer. “California law is very clear on this issue. I am not going to stand on the sidelines and watch a voting system vendor come into this state, ignore the laws, and make millions of dollars from California’s taxpayers in the process.” More...

Looks like the Furher will be having Ohio voters help pay this fine for ES&S.

Now the sad part.....

This is not a republican or democrat issue, it is not about paper or electronic voting. This is about our most cherished tool as an American - VOTING!

It saddens me to no end and troubles me deeply, that in our country, we have shot a man to the moon, we have GPS units to tell you are lost, dolls that can walk, talk, eat and sh*@, missiles we can split a terrorists ass cheeks with - but we can count a damn vote!

Russia sends Iran MORE Nuclear Fuel

Can people really be that naive to believe the recent dummied up - "Iran has been good boys" nuke report?

Russia delivered a fifth consignment of fuel for Iran's first nuclear power plant in the Gulf port of Bushehr on Tuesday, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

"The fifth load of nuclear fuel arrived at the Bushehr plant on Tuesday morning," said a statement from the Organisation for Production and Development of Nuclear Energy quoted by the news agency.

The delivery brings the nuclear fuel supplied by Russia so far to 55 tons or two-thirds of the total order of 82 tons, IRNA said. More....

General Butt Naked returns to Liberia

A rebel commander, General Butt Naked , during Liberia's civil war has returned to confess his responsibility in the killings of over 20,000 people.

Joshua Milton Blahyi or "General Butt Naked" earned this title by leading a bunch of drug crazed, dress & wig wearing rebels into battle wearing only his shoes!

Before he led his fighters into battle, wearing only a pair of lace-up boots, Blahyi said he made a human sacrifice to the devil.

Iranian Patrol Boats - Have Been A Long Time Problem

Crist writes how, like our US Navy ships, they too were confronted by Iranian Revolutionary Guard Patrol boats in menacing and confrontational ways....

I witnessed a very similar event five years ago during the invasion of Iraq. It was April 4, 2003.... four Navy patrol boats, under a Navy command in which I served, were dispatched up the Shatt al Arab, the waterway marking the Iran-Iraq border. We took great pains to avoid a confrontation, staying well within Iraqi territorial waters.....

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responded by sending four small boats toward us at high speed.... HILLARY CLINTON'S MASSIVE CONFLICT OF INTEREST

As American banks go hat in hand to foreign financial institutions and governments, begging for capital to help them get out of the mess into which their subprime loans have landed them, the question arises as to whether the United States should permit nations like China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the banks they control to acquire part ownership of our leading banks.

The presidential candidates discussed this issue in their Nevada debate and Hillary was asked about it in an interview with Neil Cavuto on the FOX Business Network yesterday. She replied that she would not “stand in the way” of such investments, but said that they needed to be vetted and called for more disclosure and “transparency.”

The fact is that Hillary Clinton is totally unable to be objective on this key question of our national financial sovereignty because she and her husband have been so compromised by their financial dealings with the very countries at issue in the decision.

Should the Saudi monarchy be permitted to purchase an important equity position in some of America’s leading banks? How can Hillary be objective when the very same monarchy donated $10 million to the Clinton Library and Foundation?

Should the UAE be allowed in? How can Hillary decide fairly when Bill — and therefore herself — have been getting a reported $10 million per year from a fund that administers the investments of the Emir of Dubai, the largest component state in the UAE?

The Dubai Ports deal compromised our national security by putting key points of entry in that nation’s control. But the infusion of capital and the acquisition of equity in our key banks has the potential to make that encroachment on our sovereignty seem piddling by comparison.

Neither Dubai nor Saudi Arabia would be permitted to contribute to Hillary’s campaign. Foreigners are not allowed to do so, precisely to avoid having potential office holders compromised by gratitude for their financial support. But these nations have used the porous ethics of the Clinton family to acquire positions of massive influence by making contributions, not to her campaign, but to her personal bank account — either through Bill or through the Library and Foundation, which the Clintons directly control. The extent of the influence their mi llions must buy with a family only recently, according to Hillary, in the “middle class” must be huge.

And it is for exactly this kind of situation that the Clintons should be required to divulge the extent of their involvement with foreign interests and exactly how much money their personal bank accounts and their Library/Foundation have received. (The Saudi donation to the Library and Foundation was only discovered by the New York Times when the information was inadvertently posted on the Library’s Web site. Soon after the story appeared, it was taken down. The Clintons refuse to reveal the donors to the Library or the related Foundation.) Hillary and Bill have also refused to release their income tax returns, despite the fact that Bill willingly released his when he was running for president.

Why hasn’t Barack Obama or John Edwards even mentioned this issue? Their attacks on Hillary’s links to lobbyists and other special interes ts are usually painted with a broad brush. But the journey of America’s banks abroad in search of a bailout makes this specific conflict a key question of policy and highly relevant to their campaigns. What better illustration could one have of Hillary’s conflicts of interest than this one?

ACLU file suit against Furher Brunnehilda & Optical Scanners

The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio filed a federal lawsuit today in an attempt to block Cuyahoga County from switching to a paper ballot voting system before the March 4 primary.

If the ACLU is successful, Cuyahoga County might not be able to hold a primary, Board of Elections Chairman Jeff Hastings said. The county already is deep into its transition to a new voting system and returning to the touch-screen system before the primary would be nearly impossible, he said.

The lawsuit, which names Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner as the defendant, argues that Cuyahoga County's new voting system is illegal because it doesn't give voters a chance to fix mistakes on their ballots.

"A system that protects every vote equally is not a luxury, it's a constitutional right," ACLU staff attorney Carrie Davis said in a written statement. More....

Glad someone is challenging the Furher, but I notice there is not too much attention being paid to the conflict of interest with Tom Hayes, E.S. & S. and the Cuyahoga County BOE. Not to mention the legalities of awarding a $3 million no-bid contract to the company, Hayes & E.S. & S., that drafted the report that Furher Brunnehilda is basing her decision on to scrap the current system and use theirs!

The RPCC has two (2) members on the Cuyahoga County BOE. One of them being RPCC Chairman, Rob Frost, the other Jeff Hastings. While Frost & Hastings were not happy with the directive of Furher Brunnehilda, they did nothing more than give lip service.

There is an RPCC meeting to reappoint one of these guys on the Cuyahoga County BOE tonight - I am going loaded for RINO's! Guess who will be LOUDLY voting NO!

Straight Democrats beating up on Gay Democrats

A straight democrat, Judge James D. Piergies, is speaking out against out against openly gay, democrat, Rev. Ted appointed, Montgomery County Judge - Judge Mary Wiseman.

For obvious reasons, Judge Piergies feels Judge Wiseman should remove herself from any cases involving Ohio's ban on same sex marriage. Judge Piergies feels Wiseman's active support against this constitutional amendment would create a potential ethical problem and feels any hope of an unbiased decision from Wiseman would be slim to none.

I completely agree with Judge Piergies. Though he did not come out and say it.... I will! The last thing we need - anywhere - is another activist judge trying to legislate from the bench!

Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Mary Wiseman, who is openly gay, should excuse herself from cases involving the state constitutional ban on gay marriage and Dayton's new law banning discrimination against gays, her Democratic primary opponent says.

Montgomery County Area Court Judge James D. Piergies cited Wiseman's role in writing an earlier, failed version of the anti-discrimination law when she was a Dayton city commissioner in 1999. He said it would create an ethical problem as well if she were to consider cases involving the Ohio constitutional amendment that passed in 2004.

Wiseman, who was appointed by Gov. Ted Strickland to replace retiring Judge John Kessler, said the fact that she is Ohio's first openly gay judge should be encouraging to other gay people. But she said it will play no role in how she considers cases, including those involving gay rights, because judges must be impartial in applying the law. More....

Hospital gives "FORCED" Rectal Exam for Bonk on the Head!

I want to laugh, but this story is not funny! Who am I kidding.... it is funny as hell! Though i do feel sorry for the poor guy.

A construction worker, Brian Persaud, was at work and went to the hospital after being hit on the head from a falling beam. At the hospital he was given some stitches to close up the gash over his eyebrow; No big deal - Right? Wrong! Way, Way wrong!

He was drugged and given a rectal exam after fighting and pleading with the hospital to "Stay Out" of there! Then after being anally assaulted, he was arrested for fighting with hospital staff....

His lawyer, Gerrard M. Marrone, said he and Persaud later learned the exam was one way of determining whether he had suffered spinal damage in the accident.

Then, Marrone said, emergency room staffers insisted on examining his rectum and held him down while he begged, "Please don't do that." He said Persaud hit a doctor while flailing around and staffers gave him an injection, which knocked him out, and performed the rectal exam.

Persaud woke up handcuffed to a bed and with an oxygen tube down his throat, the lawyer said, and spent three days in a detention center. More....

The judge later dismissed assault charges against Persaud. But - doesn't NO, mean NO!

Former GOP Lawmaker Charged With Supporting Terrorists

A former congressman and delegate to the United Nations was indicted Wednesday on charges of working for an alleged terrorist fundraising ring that sent more than $130,000 to an al-Qaida supporter who has threatened U.S. and international troops in Afghanistan.

Mark Deli Siljander, a Michigan Republican when he was in the House, was charged with money laundering, conspiracy and obstructing justice for allegedly lying about being hired to lobby senators on behalf of an Islamic charity that authorities said was secretly sending funds to terrorists.

The 42-count indictment, unsealed in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Mo., accuses the Islamic American Relief Agency of paying Siljander $50,000 for the lobbying _ money that turned out to be stolen from the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Siljander, who served in the House from 1981-1987, was appointed by President Reagan to serve as a U.S. delegate to the United Nations for one year in 1987. More...

Furher Brunnehilda meets with Election Officials

With a wave of her craggy finger, the Wicked Witch of the south, SecRATary of State Brunnehilda, ordered all Ohio election officials to immediately begin using the Nazi salute to greet her and that she will now be addressed as Furher Brunnehilda.

Goose-stepping to the dais, Furher Brunnehilda barked her orders to election officials that they WILL follow her directive of having optical scanners or else! As Germany mistakenly went in to Russia on the orders of the nut job Hitler, Ohio will make the same mistake on Furher Brunnehilda's orders to use the optical scanners of her Mussolini - Tom Hayes & E.S. & S.

Taking time from her battle plan of winning Ohio for Komrade Hillary, Das Furher was not in the mood to field questions on her directive, but at least she made this meeting! Most of the election officials mumbled quietly about this ill-fated decision. This guy will most likely be turned into a toad for daring to speak his mind....

And if any of these officials defy the exalted one's directive? They get a one way ticket on a box car to nowhere....

At least three counties -- Fulton, Union and Hardin -- have balked at printing extra ballots. Brunner on Tuesday formally gave Hardin County's election board until later this month to change its mind.

"I'll try to negotiate with them," Brunner told reporters after her speech. "But if they refuse to comply I'll have to look at what my options are. I have the ability to remove board members. It's something I really don't want to do."

She earlier told election officials that if they don't have the money to pay for printing ballots and their county commissioners won't provide more, they can go to court to force funding. More....

Cuyahoga County to Hedge Bet on "For Sure Thing" - The Ill-Fated Med-Mart

The one good thing about living in the Cleveland / Cuyahoga County area is that we can count on two things - snow and getting screwed!

It appears that the Med-Mart is nowhere closer to being built today than it was when this ill conceived idea was hatched. I believe an agreement was to be reached between the county and MMPI before 2007 ended, then it was by the end of the year, switched to soon after the start of 2008 and now..... who knows!

All the stories of how this Med-Mart will be the ticket to revitalize the area, the creation of jobs, increased business from all the conventioneers, and the best - "if we don't do it now somebody else will beat us to the punch." The only punch we seem to be getting is one right in the gut!

For all you supporters of the Cuyahoga County Commissioners forced sales tax increase or better known as "corporate welfare" to build this 'thing' - how's this kick in the ass from them feel? Hopefully the commissioners will turn the foot they have in your collective asses and walk all of you guys the hell out of this area! How does it feel when someone takes a pee on your leg and tells you it's raining?

Many of the bloggers, and residents of Cuyahoga County, both left & right / Red, Blue & Green, called this shot long before it happened. Why do some of you thick headed, the "sun is always shining" type people think the "Put it on the Ballot" petition drive against the forced sales tax increase was started? Why do you think there were volunteers form all parties and walks of life?

Come to think of it - the status and reality of the Med-Mart being built or becoming a reality is even further off then it was when they first started. In Field of Dreams like fashion we were told if we impose the tax increase they will come. Dimora bellowed, "The residents, the county and MMPI will be partner's." Hey partner, we held up our end - when will it be your turn?

Just recently public spin guru - Fred "Watch me two-step on the Med-Mart" Nance - has told us MMPI still has interest in the downtown Cleveland area and expected a deal shortly after the first of the year. While MMPI officials continually talk about wanting to be near the hospitals and medical industry centered in the University Circle area and that they will continue to negotiate.

Now we will look for other interested investors for what we were told was a "sure" thing --

If Cuyahoga County can't reach a deal with the Chicago-based company interested in opening a Medical Mart, it may look elsewhere to make sure the project gets done.

"This project is the right thing at the right time for Cleveland," negotiator Fred Nance said. "If the commercial terms they insist upon aren't reasonable, we aren't going to just roll over and give away the farm."

For now, Nance said he plans to exhaust negotiation efforts with Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. County commissioners hired Nance, an attorney and president of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, to broker a deal on their behalf. More....

I guess we should not worry - Nance says we should hedge our bets on this once described for sure deal. And lucky for us Cuyahoga County folks there are supposedly two companies interested in moving in if the deal with MMPI falls through.

Anybody want to bet there are no familiar names or ties in these groups? Yeah right - this is CuyaHOGa County? I'd bet 10-1 and would not have to hedge it that WE WILL see some familiar names of the so-called mover's and shaker's of this area.

I know one thing... there are some RINO mayors that came out and supported the sales tax increase for the Med-Mart. These mayor's along with the RPCC & Chairmen Rob Frost, can be sure they will be held accountable for supporting the Med-Mart and sales tax increase against the wishes of most RPCC members.

After all these years.... still getting "Stoned" in Iran

The human-rights group, Amnesty International, insists on needlessly killing more trees and has issued yet ANOTHER report detailing human rights abuse in Iran.

I'm sure Iranian President Imachickenhead will do the same thing with these new reports as he has done with the other reports from Amnesty International and United Nations Human Rights Council - laugh!

Amnesty International released a report way, way back in 2007 slamming Iran for the prehistoric sentences they routinely hand out for crimes such as women not dressed correctly, adultery, homosexuality, apostasy, robbery, rape, walking your dog, and quite possibly, passing gas without permission. Some of the crimes are punishable with sentences of - eye gouging, amputation of limb's and flogging to immediate execution by varying and creative means.

Be it adult or child, the most common form of execution in Iran is death by hanging. Most 'criminals' are hung in public like pictures at a starving artists sale. The problem with these public hangings is - they get boring. You know - pull the switch.... watch the person drop and that's it! Pretty Ho-Hum after a seeing a few swinging souls - huh?

My favorite is about two guys convicted of rape... after being found guilty, they were each placed in a burlap sack and thrown off a cliff! I guess the Appeal Courts were busy!

One of the long used techniques that is goining in popularity is the practice of stoning people to death. I have posted before on getting "stoned" in Iran. Well after issuing last year's report ignored, Amnesty International is upset that people are still being stoned to death in Iran.

The Iranian government denies these latest claims (who da thunk it?). Noting there are currently 11 people (9 women) waiting to be "stoned" to death, the latest Amnesty report calls this method of execution - “grotesque and unacceptable” and says this, “horrific practice” was “specifically designed to increase the suffering of the victims”.

Liberal Lefty has it Right on Hate Speech Laws?

While I had to gag my way through the article, liberal korrectnik, Glenn Greenwald, shows some keen insight with his piece in Salon on Hate Speech laws. Or is it self preservation of "their" message?

Commenting on the lefties in America and their desire to suppress free speech with "Hate Speech" laws, Greenwald points out the liberal left should be careful of what they wish for.... as it may be used against them!

While disgustingly dripping with bias to the left, Greenwald gets his point across very well using Canada's version of the "Hate Speech" law and the effects it had on Ezra Levant and Mark Steyn. Ezra is the man who drew the Mohammad cartoon published in a Danish paper that had extremist muslim jihadikaze's thrilled spitless. Steyn is the author of, America Alone, and had an excerpt from his book quoted in a Canadian magazine.

I have to give Greenie credit for the use of so many delicious adjectives he uses in describing us terrible conservatives who have ALWAYS been against any Hate Speech laws. But reading the article several times during this post - one thing kept jumping out at me...

I come to this conclusion by the simple fact of how Greenie continually refers back to any proposed Hate Speech laws in the United States can be used by the - "conservative Christian or right-wing Jewish groups, or conservative or neoconservative groups, or any other political faction seeking to restrict and punish speech it dislikes."

Piercing the veil shrouding this argument, one can see clearly - Greenwald is NOT against Hate Speech laws! He is against how any Hate Speech laws may be used to suppress the garbage spewed from the likes of Bill Maher, Michael Moore, George Soros, Rosie O'Donnell, MSM or himself!

Cuyahoga County Voters to get Bent Over Today!

Over the weekend I went and ate lunch with my buddy from the Cuyahoga County Democrat Party. During our meal talk eventually turned to politics and he became very upset!

First he was upset over SoS Brunnehilda's throwing away $23 million in good voting equipment and the vote expected by the Cuyahoga County Commisioners to give E.S. & S. an estimated $3 million no bid contract for optical scanners. This deal is the epitome of partisanship and the corruption of the CuyaHOGa County demohacks.

What made him more livid was the partisan politics, and the impending vote today of the democrat CuyaHOGa commissioners - all democrats. As expected, our demohack SoS Brunnehilda will be using her take over the Cuyahoga County B.O.E. to potentially effect the presidential election....

On Monday, the County Commissioners are expected to vote on the contract to approve funding for the optical machines that Brunner has mandated. From my intelligence, Peter Lawson Jones is expected to vote no on the contract.

John McCain is starting to look like the candidate to beat for the GOP nomination. Not long ago, he was dismissed, unable to compete with Rudy Giuliani's star power. But with New Hampshire, the tortoise has overtaken the hare.

If McCain wins Michigan on Tuesday (as he did in 2000), Rudy may find himself so far behind before he starts to run that he can never catch up.

McCain could even beat Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. His record taps into a latent populism that attracts Republicans, Democrats and Independents. His battle against big tobacco, efforts to address global warming, opposition to torture during interrogations and fight to reform corporate governance and to protect investors and pensioners appeal to voters of all stripes.

His issues cut across party and ideological lines, for an attraction far broader than the single notes sung by the evangelical Mike Huckabee and the anti-terror Giuliani. His heroism is apparent and his independence from special interests notable. He's pro-life and suitably conservative on social issues, so he attracts conservatives as well as moderates. And his credentials on terrorism and other national-security issues are outstanding.

He's got two main obstacles to overcome: his support for amnesty for illegal immigrants and his age.

* McCain denies that he backed amnesty (citing the fines that illegals would've had to pay to regularize their status under his bill), but conservatives have pinned the label on him so indelibly that it's unlikely to come off no matter how hard he scrubs.

Ultimately, though, he can likely transcend the nativist vote and appeal to the broad spectrum of Republicans. Polls indicate that nobody really believes it is feasible to deport 11 million people back to their home nations. If we can't do that, they'll linger on our streets and in our fields forever, as illegal tomorrow as they are today, unless we move to meet them halfway.

The Pat Buchanans of the world will split their votes between Mitt Romney and Huckabee, so this negative is not likely to prove any more lethal in Michigan, New York or California than it was in New Hampshire.

* His age is a bigger problem. The New Hampshire and Iowa contests were animated by record turnouts. One Granite State voter in five had never voted before in a primary. (Obama carried them by 20 points.) An incredible 11 percent of voters were under 24. (Obama won them, 3 to 1.) With young people storming the polls, a 71-year-old candidate labors under a huge handicap.

But consider his competition: Giuliani, who draws from the same well, has squandered his early lead in what can only be described as a determined passivity. Fred Thompson is also catatonic.

And each primary provides more proof of how how unattractive voters find Romney. Despite massive spending and a field organization with all the efficiency and busy-tailed enthusiasm of a good car-rental company, he still can't sell because people don't like him. His vast checkbook will let him linger on past Michigan, but he loses traction with each balloting.

Huckabee has yet to show an ability to transcend social-conservative issues. His pledge to repeal the IRS and instead adopt a fair tax (i.e., a national sales tax) might help him "go secular," but until he achieves that, he's just a regional candidate - a good vice president pick, not top-tier material.

For the general election, McCain is unique among the GOP field because he can attract centrist votes. He's every Democrat's and independent's favorite Republican. He doesn't have Rudy's hard edges or family problems, and he knows how to push a lot of populist hot buttons, from CEO pay to credit-card overcharges to hedge-fund tax shelters to subprime chicanery.

Being able to win doesn't mean he will win. But McCain is clearly back.

University of Michigan offers "How to be Gay" Class

The University of Michigan, with tax dollars, is reinstating a course that once almost cost them a 10% budget penalty from the state. The class being reinstated is.... "How to be Gay: Male Homosexuality and Initiation," and will be taught by the openly gay - Dr. David Halperin.

U of M Provost Paul Courant says there is nothing wrong with the course and it DOES NOT teach people to be gay. Obviously delirious from the sounds of Cher and Barry Maniblow being piped into his office, Courant had this to say about the class....

In theory, a St. Charles (Missouri) Elected Tormentor, City Councilweasel Richard Veit, is vaguely aware of some stellar prose named the Declaration of Independence. In practice - as evidenced by his latest brainfart - he hasn’t got a single clue about the true meaning of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".

Dirty Dicky wants to unleash the jackbooted purveyors of what passes for justice in his blight on the American map by blatantly repealing the right of a business owner to set the rules of engagement for his, her, hisher or its own property. Dirty Dicky is so full of himself - and IT - that he wants to micro-manage St. Charles’ adult beverage emporiums. He’s ramming a steaming platter of regulatory turds through the city council that reek to high heaven:

Among the rules: no open bar, no drinking games or contests, no dancing on tables, and no indecent, profane or obscene language, songs, entertainment and literature.

It's this last item that has some bar owners concerned. At R.T. Weilers, management considers this a violation of civil rights. Owner Marc Rousseau says, "We're dealing with adults here once again and I don't think it's the city's job or the government's job to determine what we can and cannot play in our restaurant." The President of the National Black Pro-Life Union, Day Gardner, says she would love to hear Obama give one of his smooth speeches on his extremely left views of abortion.

His far left support of abortion is in direct conflict in what we keep talking about needing to fix in this country. Continually we are hearing about how a child is killing someone, shooting up a school, killing their parents, etc....

It is a problem among our children as a whole, but we are continually hearing about violence among children in the black community. The city of Cleveland just set a record for murders in a year. I believe most, or a majority, of these murders were committed by young black males against other young black males.

So to stop the increase in violence among our children, regardless of color, do we not need to instill in them the value of life? When abortion is the #1 killer among African-Americans, how in the hell do you expect these kids to have any value of life at all?

City wants to ban Swearing, Drinking Games & Rowdy Behavior in Bars!

Councilman Richard Veits of St. Charles, MO is trying to pass a law that would ban drinking games or contests, dancing on tables, and indecent, profane or obscene language, songs, entertainment and literature - in BARS!

A St. Louis-area town is considering a bill that would ban swearing in bars, along with table-dancing, drinking contests and profane music.

City officials contend the bill is needed to keep rowdy crowds under control because the historic downtown area gets a little too lively on some nights.

City Councilman Richard Veit said he was prompted to propose the bill after complaints about bad bar behavior. He says it will give police some rules to enforce when things get too rowdy.

Boy Scout stops assassination attempt of Maldives President

The Rico Suave of the Men's Room is still trying to over turn his disorderly conduct conviction from the toe tapping misunderstanding he had in a Minneapolis Airport.

It seems as old "Wide Stance," who has continually & vehemently denied he is a bathroom pervert & gay. Yep, after telling us he isn't, wasn't, couldn't be, shouldn't be, and absolutely can't be gay, Craig is now having the conviction challenged on other grounds....

There was only one other guy in the bathroom!

Craig had his attorneys in their briefs, (oops sorry!), I mean file an appeals brief stating Craig's conduct was not illegal, as his actions did not rise to the level needed to be charged with disorderly conduct as set forth under the law for the State of Minnesota.

My life isn't a chit to be used to bludgeon people to silence on either side. If you think the U.S. ought to get out tomorrow, don't cite my name as an example of someone's life who was wasted by our mission in Iraq. I have my own opinions about what we should do about Iraq, but since I'm not around to expound on them I'd prefer others not try and use me as some kind of moral capital to support a position I probably didn't support. Further, this is tough enough on my family without their having to see my picture being used in some rally or my name being cited for some political purpose. You can fight political battles without hurting my family, and I'd prefer that you did so.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Boats almost Sunk by U.S. Navy

In an incident described by Iranian officials as "ordinary" and the U.S. Navy describes as a "significant confrontation", Iranian Revolutionary Guard patrol boats almost got blown sky high.

Recently under patrol and searching for a missing sailor in the Arabian Sea a team of naval ships, USS Hopper (pictured), the USS Port Royal and the USS Ingraham, were entering the Persian Gulf through the international waters of the Straights of Hormuz when 5 IRG patrol boats made threatening moves & came within 200 yards our ships....

The U.S. Navy also received a radio transmission that officials believe came from the Iranian boats. The transmission said, "I am coming at you. You will explode in a couple of minutes," the U.S. military officials told CNN.

When the U.S. ships heard that radio transmission, they took up their gun positions and officers were "in the process" of giving the order to fire when the Iranians abruptly turned away, the U.S. officials said. More....

The IRG Navy is responsible for the 2 week kidnapping of 15 crew members of a British ship claiming they were in Iranian waters. This seems to be like a little game of cat & mouse for these guys - Iran claims they could not identify our ships so they had to some closer.

I bet our sailors guys would love to play navy games with the IRG patrol, but sort of like when we were kids and our parents would tell us.... "all the fun & games are fine until someone pokes an eye out." But the IRG may not lose an eye; they just very well might be sunk the next time!

Cleveland Police Dept. looking for 6 gunmen

Cleveland police are looking this morning for a fugitive who is considered armed and dangerous. And they're looking for three men and two women who were involved in two West Side shootings overnight. No one was killed.

One of the fugitives is being called a "radical Muslim" who will shoot at police. Dispatchers said Michael Wagner, 47, is known to be heavily armed, wears body armor and has night vision goggles. He is wanted in California, where he is charged with a sex crime. Wagner was last seen at 9 last night at East 112th Street and Superior Avenue. He was driving a light blue Chevrolet Blazer with a California license plate.

Officers are also looking for D'Anthony Harris of Covert Avenue. He is accused of shooting someone about 9 last night in the 3700 block of West 14th Street. He was driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe with license plate EFP 1395.

Police suspect another shooting about a half hour later on Hosmer Avenue was done in retaliation. Two men and two women are suspects. They were armed with handguns and seen in a white Toyota missing its hubcaps.

For 10 years, as governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee supported amnesty and taxpayer-financed welfare and health care for illegal aliens and increased taxes numerous times. Now, after sniffing the political winds, he poses as tough on illegal aliens and a tax-whacker.
His recent conversion has inspired many evangelical Christians to flock to his support, as they did to President Jimmy Carter in 1976—with disastrous results. Many are unaware that Huckabee’s record betrays his new-found words.

As a born-again, ordained Southern Baptist minister, it would behoove Huckabee to explain his late life conversion to his sheep, who see him as their shepherd. If elected, will Huckabee stick to his present position or revert to coddling criminal aliens and raising taxes?

It is common for promises made in presidential campaigns to be broken once the office is won. President Bush the Elder promised, “Read my lips: no new taxes” in the 1988 campaign and raised taxes as president. President Bill Clinton ran as a “peace” candidate and ordered the invasion of Serbia, Kosovo, Haiti and Somalia. Truth is more easily found in records than in words.

To deny illegal aliens tax-paid welfare and health care, plus low in-state college tuition rates, would not be “Christian,” Huckabee said many times,.

The Arkansas Journal blog has uncovered a video showing Huckabee begging the state legislature to raise taxes. He says:

“Some have suggested [increasing the tax on tobacco at the retail level]. If that ends up being your preference, I will accept that. Others have suggested a surcharge on the income tax; that’s acceptable; I’m fine with that.

“Others have suggested, perhaps, a sales tax; that’s fine. Yet others have suggested a hybrid that will collect some monies from any one or a combination of these various ideas, and if that’s the plan that the House and Senate agree upon, then you will have nothing but my profound thanks.”

3 thugs arrested for New Years Eve attack on dog walker

The Shaker Hts Police Dept. have arrested three of the seven thugs responsible for the vicious New Years Eve beating of a local attorney out walking his dog.

Three Cleveland boys were arrested on Saturday in connection with the New Year's Eve assault of a 52-year-old Shaker Heights man who was beaten while walking near the Onaway Road rapid transit station.

Shaker Heights Police said the juveniles - ages 17, 16 and 14 - are being held at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. Kevin McDermott, an attorney, required surgery at Hillcrest Hospital and now has pins and a plate in his leg, his wife told the Plain Dealer last week.

These animals need to be charged as adults with attempted murder and having hate crime specifications!

Motel Shooting Suspects in Custody

The two suspects in the shooting of 5 people at a North Randall motel at a tattoo party have turned themselves in....

Two men believed to be involved in shooting five people at a motel in North Randall last night turned themselves in and are being fingerprinted, police said.

Police are booking brothers John Scales, 20, and Cortland Scales, 18 of Warrensville into custody. They have not been interviewed, police Chief David Davis said.

Police learned that the large crowd gathered in a room at the Knight's Inn on Northfield Road for a tattoo party, Davis said. None of the five victims was the tattoo artist.

Davis does not know if the Scales brothers got inked before opening fire in the room. More....

A man killed his girlfriend, then filleted and cooked parts of her body before calling police to tell them what he was doing, authorities said Sunday.

Christopher Lee McCuin, 25, called 911 on Saturday and told an emergency dispatcher he had killed Jana Shearer, 21, and was boiling her body parts at his mother's home, said Smith County Sheriff J.B. Smith.

When authorities arrived at the home, they found Shearer's mutilated body, one ear boiling in a pot of water on the stove and a fork sticking out of some human flesh sitting on a plate on the kitchen table. More....

Cleveland police are searching for a 2004 blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo wanted in connection to the shooting of five people last night in a North Randall motel, according to police dispatchers.

The car is believed to be in the area near East 118th and Union Avenue. North Randall police believe Cortland Scales, 18, or John Scales are in the car. They are both considered to be armed and dangerous with a 9-mm handgun, dispatchers said.

Five men between the ages of 18 and 20 were shot at the Knights Inn at 4751 Northfield Road.

Niger Militants will step up violence in quest to paralyze Oil Exports

The militant group responsible for most of the violence in the Niger Delta region, MEND, has sent out an email telling people to watch out for more violence and to reassert their stated goal of paralyzing ALL of Nigeria's oil exports....

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, or MEND, said in the statement sent by e-mail late Thursday that its "goal remains to paralyze 100 percent of Nigeria's oil export in one swipe."

The e-mail told residents of key oil-producing states "to avoid milling around army checkpoints and armored personnel carriers as they have become targets for attacks by explosive devices."

MEND claims to be fighting for an increased share of oil wealth for the people of the country's oil-rich Niger Delta, who remain among the poorest in the world despite the huge wealth extracted from their soil.

Attacks by armed groups in the region have cut more than 20 percent of Nigeria's daily oil production, adding to the upward pressure on global oil prices. More....

1986 Palestinian Hijackers Released by Pakistan

Pakistani authorities freed four Palestinians on Thursday who were convicted in the 1986 hijacking of a Pan Am jet in Karachi that left 22 passengers and crew dead, a prison official said.

The men were released after completing their jail terms and deported to the Palestinian territories, said the official on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media. The alleged leader of the group, a Palestinian called Zayd Hassan Abd Al-Latif Masud Al Safarini, was released from prison in Pakistan in 2001 through a series of amnesties, but was arrested a day later by FBI agents in Bangkok on his way to Jordan.

In 2003, a U.S court sentenced Safarini to three consecutive life terms plus 25 years for his role in the hijacking.

The five men hijacked the Pan Am Boeing 747 as it sat at Karachi airport waiting to fly to Frankfurt, Germany, en route to New York. They were demanding the release of 1,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israel and Cyprus. Later the same day, Pakistani commandos stormed the plane and the hijackers began shooting and throwing hand grenades at the passengers and crew they had herded into one area of the plane, according to court papers presented at the U.S. trial of Safarini.

In all, 22 people were killed and more than 100 wounded. The five men were arrested. At a 1988 trial in Pakistan, the Palestinians admitted carrying out the hijacking, but blamed Pakistani troops for the passengers' deaths. All five were given death sentences that were commuted to life in prison, which means serving 14 years in Pakistan. The men had been held in a high-security prison in Rawalpindi, a garrison city near the capital Islamabad.

The prison official gave the names of those released Thursday as Mohammed Abdul Khalil Hussain, Daud Mohammed Hafiz, Mohammed Ahmed al-Munawar and Jamal Saeed.

What the Huck!!! Can He Win It All?

John McCain is old and cantankerous – but he'd make Obama look like a snot-nosed, ignorant kid fresh out of law school. Rudy Giuliani has more skeletons in his closet than Tim Burton – but his Sept. 11 image would dramatically overshadow Obama's pitiful internationalism. Mike Huckabee has a sense of humor and a winning smile – but so does Obama. And Obama has the full force of the media behind him. My sentiment on Obama....

This man has evoked a passion from the voters reminiscent of JFK. The democrat turnout in Iowa was staggering! With empty promises of seeing a Utopian Never-Never Land he is mobilizing the masses of democrats and crossover voters by giving them hope. People are ignoring the fact that Obama's messages are nothing more than sound bytes, headline quips and promises of sunny days with no substance.

I am afraid if the Obama train continues to pick up steam, he very well may become President Osama. We can only hope that Hillhag bares her fangs and comes out swinging!

Regardless of whom the GOP candidate may be, barring "Please Quit Mitt," I feel much more at ease facing Hillbill than Osama in the general election.

North Korea - Now What?

The North Koreans have missed the December 31, 2007 deadline they set for releasing all the information on their nuke program. Now in true N. Korean fashion instead of being conciliatory and continuing to be cooperative, they became combative again....

NORTH Korea said today it would boost its war deterrent, a day after the United States said it was sending its nuclear envoy back to Asia to discuss a disarmament deal on which Pyongyang has missed a deadline.

North Korea failed to fully account for its nuclear weapons program or answer US suspicions that it has secretly tried to enrich uranium. It was supposed to have made the declaration by the end of 2007.

"(We) will further strengthen our war deterrent capabilities in response to US attempts to initiate nuclear war," the prickly state's communist party newspaper Rodong Sinmun said in a commentary. More....

The little schizoid Kim Jong Il once again thumbs his nose at the international community. The games we play with him are to an extent necessary. One must realize with him it is more head games and wanting to project the appearance of being important and in control.

N. Korea is NOT a country we should want to get in a war with! The American public is barely able to stomach the deaths in Iraq. A war with N. Korea would dwarf those numbers in half, if not a quarter of the time, if we were fighting them. But we should not allow ourselves to be scared when dealing with them.

One needs to recognize that most of this is rhetoric and posturing by Kimmy boy. We must understand he is not dealing in good faith and like a child will push the limit to see what he can get. I am confident with the way the President Bush is proceeding. His wearing of two hats - labeling them an axis of evil and refusing to talk with them, then subsequently sending a personal letter to Kim Jong Il, while maybe confusing and seem unorthodox to some people, this is EXACTLY the way we need to proceed.

A recent find of enriched uranium on N. Korean centrifuge tubes, North Korea stating they are still fighting the Korean War and the declaration that they are going to "boost its war deterrent," should be considered more alarming than missing the deadline. The report detailing their nuke capabilities will come it is only a matter of time. As for accuracy and transparency.... well this is North Korea. With the understanding that the report will give us more than info on their nuke program than we have now, we should only expect the report to have some inaccuracies and not be completely transparent.

The other day the USA Today ran opinion pieces with opposing views. The USA Today written opinion was watered down version of continued diplomacy, as one could expect, but they did have some valid points. The opposing view was more confrontational and much less receptive of continued diplomacy, but it also had some valid points.

In conclusion, a path somewhere between both these opinions is the way we need to proceed in dealing with this unstable leader. Not placing a value on human life, this is a game for Kim Jong Il. While we are forced to play this game with him we must keep him rolling the dice - we just have to make sure we give him to many "Get Out of Jail Free" cards.

"Shucks its' Me" Huckabee & Immigration

I want to give a big Huckabee Sombrero hat tip to Mark over at Pain Dealer. PD posts on the friendly GOP candidate "Shucks its' me" Huckabee and his distorted views on immigration.

Seems like Huckleberry Huckabee thinks WE ( our government) should accommodate illegal immigrants and make sure our economy has the necessary work force to give them an opportunity for a better life.

Disturbing thing was I did not see where the Huckster said anything about the Americans that would be put out of work by illegal immigrants?!? Go figure!

The following part of Pain Dealer's post is WHY I will never vote for this humble Holy Rolling hypocrite.....

Huckabee criticized an immigration bill by Republican senators Jim Holt of Springdale and Denny Altes of Fort Smith as un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life.

Senate Bill 206, which died in the Senate, would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and also force state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally. Holt, R-Springdale, replied later to Huckabee's comments that Christian charity does not include turning a blind eye to lawbreaking.

While I believe our next President needs to have values based on faith, I believe this type of Holy Roller crap is just that - crap from a hypocrite! It is guys like this that I love to tell to stick the Bible up their a**!

I have a very strong belief in God, but one thing I do not like is pulling the "Religion Card," much like I do not like when the "Race Card" is pulled.

So maybe the phony preacher can answer this...

Is it not un-Christian to allow your neighbor, a fellow American, to be out out of work so someone from outside this country can have a job?

Is it not un-Christian to take food off a persons table by bringing people into this country that will undercut their wages?

Is it not un-Christian to ask for more money from Americans, already over burdened with taxes from social programs, to pay the way for these people? (Come on Hack, sorry I meant Huck, have a heart! - They just lost their minimum wage job to Manny the Mexican who is working for $4 hr!)

Using religion as an excuse to allow illegal immigrants into this country is no better than the other wack job Evanhellical's saying God is letting our troops die because we have homos in this country!

Third Video of Bhutto Assassination Shows Gunmen

In an earlier post on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto it was noted here that the cause of death, as reported by the Pakistani government, was her head slamming into the sunroof.

The cause of death was disputed and Bhutto's Pakistani Peoples Party accused the government of being responsible for her death and now trying to cover it up. Initially Musharraf had condemned the death and called for an investigation to be done by Pakistani agencies.

After days of rioting, which have caused the elections to be delayed, Musharraf has decided to have Scotland Yards assist with the investigation to dispel any conspiracy theories.

New videos & pictures of Bhutto's assassination have surfaced, which are in direct conflict with the given cause of death and has caused the government to back off their claims. It is being alleged that a Steyr M 9X19 mm was recovered from the scene. This is the weapon used by the Pakistani Army Special Services Group.

( Adam Baddely of Special Operations Technology -- The Steyr M 9x19 mm pistols lend themselves to greater accuracy with single-handed firing. The pistol still often remains the weapon of last resort.... but with greater accessories and lethality it is now an increasingly useful part of the special forces armory.)

World Net Daily is reporting on a third video taken from a bodyguard that is consistent with a video being aired by Channel 4 of Bhutto's assassination....

.....taken from a perspective behind Bhutto's SUV, shows the back of Bhutto's head veil being lifted and her hair rising out of place as a clean-shaven shooter in a coat and tie fires three pistol shots from the left of her at point blank range.

Close analysis of the Channel 4 video also indicates Bhutto fell back into the SUV immediately after the pistol shots but before the suicide bomb went off. More....

As for my feelings, if anyone cares, I stand by my assertions in my first post and agree that terrorists were directly and/or indirectly behind Bhutto's assassination. I believe Musharraf knew the only way he would be able to stay in power would be if Bhutto was elected prime minister. So with that, I cannot see him removing his only chance at remaining in power.

A Japanese company (Toyota) and an American company (General Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River. Both team practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.

On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile. The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action. Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing an 1 person steering, while the American team had 8 people steering an 1 person rowing.

Feeling a deeper study was in order, American management hired a consulting company and paid them a huge amount of money for a second opinion. They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the boat and not enough people rowing.

Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent another loss to the Japanese, the rowing teams management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant steering manager. They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 1 person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings, dinners, free pens and scratch pads for the rower. There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment and extra vacation days for practices, and bonuses.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles. Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for the new equipment. The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next years racing team was out-sourced to India.

Sad, but oh so true! Here's something else to think about: Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of the US, claiming they can't make money paying American wages. Toyota has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen plants inside the US.

The last quarters results: Toyota makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in losses. Ford folks are still scratching their heads.

Mating may be a natural instinct, but monkey business doesn't come free for male macaques who have to "pay" females for their affections, the AFP reported Wednesday.

According to the report, a study of the primates conducted by Michael Gumert of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore found that the male monkeys must first groom the female before she will permit sex. The males use grooming as a form of currency to buy sex from the female, the study found.

Baby Terrorists Fuel Fight in Somalia

This is my first post on the situation in Somalia. The fight with muslims terrorist from inside and outside the country has been going on for quite awhile.

U.S. acceptance of Iraqi Refugees lagging - So what!

Here we go again with the Iraqi refugee bullcrap! The USA Today, Refugee International, U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and every other "ABC" refugee advocacy group are belly aching that the United States is lagging on their admitting of Iraqi refugees.

For the third straight month since the United States said it would improve processing and resettle 12,000 Iraqis by the end of the current budget year on Sept. 30, the number admitted has actually slid, the figures show.

The steady decline — from 450 in October to 362 in November and 245 in December — means the administration will have to allow in 10,943 Iraqis over the next nine months, or roughly 1,215 per month, to meet the target it has set for itself.

Bowing from pressure to accept more of these refugees (runaways) and at a faster pace, the Bush administration has again said they would increase the number of refugees from Iraq allowed in the United States.

In my opinion too many Iraqi's have abandoned their country and left Iraq....

According to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 2 million Iraqis have fled their country. Of these, 1.2 million are in Syria, 750,000 in Jordan, 100,000 in Egypt, 54,000 in Iran, 40,000 in Lebanon, 10,000 in Turkey and 200,000 in various Persian Gulf countries. More....

The U.N. refugee agency has referred more than 14,000 Iraqis to the United States for resettlement.

I am sure many of you cool-aid drinking, "let's pass out candy to the terrorists and they will like us," liberals think it is horrible I would say these poor people should not be allowed in our country.

Too Bad! They do not belong here - they belong at home fighting terrorists!

Think about it - this could be a way to end the war you guys hate so much! If they all went home and fought for their country.... our men & women could come home!

I fully understand many of these 2 million people are women and children and yea, yea, some people left for fear of their life. Big Deal! If these people want to control their country they need to go home and do it - not runaway.

Did WE not have women & children fighting in the revolutionary war to rid our country of tyranny? Couldn't we now be having tea & crumpets instead of beer & hot dogs had The Son's of Liberty fled the U.S. during the revolutionary war years?

I believe during the Civil War we had many brothers, uncles, fathers and son's fighting against each other. There were many women & children that fought for our country as countrymen and not soldiers.

Just like when the Germans invaded Pearl Harbor - we didn't run! When the Red Coats were coming - did we flee our country? No! Paul Revere fired up his Mustang GT convertible and took Betsy Ross to Wal-Mart for thread so she could sew us a flag?

So instead of opening the doors of our country for more Iraqi refugees, we should be giving them a gun and sending them home!

North Korea - It's Cryin' & Lyin' Time Again

In the recent past we have been reading how the nuke nuts in North Korea want to be good and disclose all their nuclear weapons technology. The N. Koreans were to release a report on Dec. 31, 2007 detailing any and all nuclear technology and/or programs.

Being optimistic, the free world was thrilled spitless. Even to the point that when enriched uranium was recently found in centrifuge tubes of N. Korea's everyone down played the find as possibly a mistake.

Well it was a mistake! It was a mistake to AGAIN trust or believe anything these N. Korean Nuke Nuts tell us. But some are still making excuses for them.....

Tom Casey, US state dept spokesman"This can't be a situation where they pretend to give us a full declaration and we pretend to believe them. This has to be full and complete and that's why, I think, this is taking extra time."

Like the story has gone so many times, they are trying to turn the tables. Again ignoring a promised deadline, N. Korea issued a New Year's Day statement railing against the U.S. and believe they are still fighting the Korean War, but nothing about their nukes....

In North Korea's message, carried as an editorial across state media on Tuesday, it called for an end to "the US policy hostile towards the DPRK", or the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the formal name for North Korea.

But it added the North was ready to develop "relations of friendship and cooperation with all the countries that are friendly toward it".

It also called for the armistice signed at the close of the 1950-53 Korean War to be replaced by a peace treaty. The absence of a formal treaty means the Korean peninsula is still technically at war.

It its message the North said it would "make earnest efforts for stability on the Korean peninsula and peace in the world" and called for the abolition of US military bases in the South. More....

France & Germany Ban Smoking

It looks like the Nicotine Nazi's are everywhere! France & Germany, in joining other European countries, have enacted their own form of a "Smoking Ban."

The reaction among restaurant and bar owners is pretty much the same as it was here in Ohio we our nicotine Nazi's banned smoking. They realize that they, like restaurant & bar owners here, will soon see a decline in business and ultimately their profit.

In France where over 60% of our floppy hatted friends smoke, they were just thrilled out of their carcinogen filled lungs!

Maybe us people who smoke should just start our own country....

• Ireland banned smoking in all enclosed spaces in 2004.

• The UK followed with a ban.

• Italy, Malta, Sweden, Estonia and Finland all have bans but allow smoking in special closed sections.

• Belgium, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, Slovenia and the Netherlands all have bans but make exceptions for certain parts of the hospitality sector.

• Germany, Portugal and France are the latest countries to introduce bans.

Politics of death in the Indian Subcontinent

I read a brief little history called, "Politics of death in the Indian Subcontinent," by Bahman Aghai Diba, PhD at Persian Journal. This piece sheds a little light on the history of death when dealing with politics in this area.

There is nothing earth shattering or considered -"must read" but I found it to be very informative and interesting.....

Ninny Pelosi - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

USA Today did a story on the person every God-Fearing, flag loving, normal ("straight") American loves to hate - Botox Beast and Whiner of the House Ninny Pelosi.

The liner for a bird cage newspaper highlighted the year's events under her term as speaker. Most notably would be her many failures and that the plastic faced princess was unable to do the one thing she screeched she would do - bring our troops home from Iraq. Ninny and her dingle berry democrats were constantly working to pull the rug out from under our soldiers feet and undermine their successes in Iraq.

Refusing to accept the fact that the "surge" was working and the results would not come as fast as the polyvinyl pimpstress' facial injection's - she continued presenting legislation against our troops.

Pelosi said she will continue to push next year for withdrawing troops and improving the training and equipping of military units.

"The war, the war, the war — it eclipses everything that we do here," she said.

Furthermore, it should be noted that her promise to be, and work in a bi-partisan way flew out the window almost instantly. Many of the liberal loghead korrectnik's were thrilled spitless when the frozen faced San Fran Nan was named Speaker of the House. Many of these moronic misfits thought , Ninny, a person that stands for everything against which this country was founded on, would be the answer for their ills.....

In an AP poll in December 2006, 22% of respondents said they had a favorable impression of Pelosi and 22% said it was unfavorable. An AP poll last month found her favorability rating the same — 22% — but her unfavorability rating had jumped to 38%.

Though an ineffective Speaker, we can thank the future statue in the White House Rotunda for what will turn out to be a very enjoyable race in CA. (Don't worry people - a few more years & hopefully CA will fall into the ocean). Plastic Wrap Pelosi is being challenged by none other than, Cindy "I want Hugo's Love Child" Sheehan - the American Traitor!

To be fair, the fishwrap did note Pelosi did have some minuscule accomplishments. Though they did not mention anything about her questionable ethics. And as for what she tried to do and thank God was not successfull....

FAILURES

• Repeatedly passed legislation with Iraq troop deadlines through the House, but neither the Senate nor President Bush ever accepted it.

• Passed legislation expanding embryonic stem cell research, which also passed the Senate, but Bush vetoed it.

• Failed to reach compromise on adding $35 billion to a popular children's health insurance program after Bush vetoed two attempts. Congress finally passed an extension through March 2009.

• Despite hailing the energy bill as a success because of its fuel economy standards, Pelosi failed to get other priorities included, including a tax package that would have rolled back $13.5 billion in oil company tax breaks and funneled billions of dollars into tax incentives for renewable energy development and efficiency programs.

• Abandoned "pay as you go" pledge not to grow the deficit when House agreed to a one-year freeze on growth of the alternative minimum tax, but without finding $50 billion to pay for it.

So on this day of the New Year we can thank the republicans for slowing down this plastic wrapped politician!
