Bhutto, Pakistan, Nukes & Terrorists

With the country of Pakistan in complete turmoil following the assassination of former Prime Minister Benizir Bhutto, officials are releasing more information on her death.

Pakistani officials are now claiming that Bhutto actually died from her head striking the sunroof and not from the gunshots or explosion that followed.

Many in the country are blaming current Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf for Bhutto's death. Bhutto had long complained about the lack of security provided by the government. Pakistani officials are claiming the Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and the Taliban are behind the death - and they might be telling the truth.

Pakistani Intelligence Officials state they have intercepted conversations of the man responsible for facilitating Bhutto's death, Baitullah Mehsud, a ruthless tribal warlord from South Waziristan in northern Pakistan.

In the released transcripts, Mehsud is heard passing on congratulations to his followers for the killing....

"It was a tremendous effort. They were really brave boys who killed her," Mehsud said, according to the transcript.

Mehsud is the leader of Lashkar i Jhangvi (LJ) and are known affiliates of Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and the Taliban. They are also the group responsible for the kidnap and murder of U.S. journalist Danny Pearl and believed to be behind the assassination attempt on Bhutto's life when she returned home from self-imposed exile earlier this year.

Mehsud had made it well known that he would have Bhutto killed if she returned home. On her return, for making "three major offenses against Islamists," Mehsud issued his orders to have Bhutto killed....

First, she supported the Pakistani military attack on Lal Masjid (the Red Mosque) in Islamabad on July 10, 2007—Lal Masjid was considered a hotbed of Islamist radicalism; one hundred and sixty-four Pakistani special-forces commandos stormed the mosque and madrassah, killing at least 20 and injuring over 100.

Second, Bhutto has made it clear that if she takes power in Pakistan, she will allow American forces to search for Osama bin Laden inside Pakistan's borders.

Third, she has said that if elected, she would allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to question A. Q. Khan.

The first reason may be familiar for some, the second cookie cutter reason is just the usual excuse given for the terrorists to kill anyone. The third reason - A. Q. Khan - is one we need to be VERY concerned about!

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Kahn, aka "Father of the Pakistani Bomb," can be considered the single most dangerous threat to civilization today!

What gives credence to the governments' story is that Kahn has a research facility in Rawalpindi, the same city which Bhutto was assassinated. Bhutto's death may have very well placed us one step closer to the realization of our greatest fear - nukes in the hands of terrorists!

The Indian born Kahn, a muslim, immigrated to Pakistan as a child in 1947 after the partitioning of India & Pakistan. An award winning & leading nuclear scientist, Kahn is/was once considered a hero by many in Pakistan. Fearing the nuclear threat from their enemy India, he was looked upon by many as a savior for providing Pakistan with nuclear technology and weapons.

Kahn started out in 1972 stealing nuclear secrets while working for a company in the Netherlands, returned to Pakistan with this stolen technology in 1976, confirmed Pakistan had nukes in 1987, became a home town hero, then confirmed rogue muslim extremist in 2001.

Kahn started his work under Benizir Bhutto's father, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who once helped shield his espionage.....

In January 1976, on (according to Khan) the invitation of Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, he suddenly left Europe with his family before his espionage was detected.

A small centrifuge pilot facility was initially set up at Sihala, several kilometers southeast of Islamabad. Friction quickly developed and in July 1976 Bhutto gave Khan autonomous control of the uranium enrichment project, reporting directly to the Prime Minister's office, an arrangement that has continued since.

This was not the case during Benizir Bhutto's two terms as prime minister, there was no love lost between the two; Bhutto was regularly denied any information and access to Kahn's research laboratory while he was working for the government. Kahn has confirmed working with the Chinese government & getting funding from Saudi Arabia during his years in acquiring nuclear capabilities for Pakistan.

Over the years of creating his own black market "Wal-Mart for Nukes," Kahn also admitted he has sold nuclear technology and helped the countries of North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Syria & Libya with their quest for nuclear weapons.

Our entrepreneurial muslim nuke nut has established ties & worked with Islamic militant groups in Kashmir, the Taliban, Osama Bin Laden & Al-Qaeda since at least 1996. This information was well known and his activities were allowed to flourish during the Bill Clinton 'cigar years' in office. For fear of exposing Saudi ties into Kahn's activities of funding the Taliban & Al-Qaeda, these investigations were hindered by the Clinton administration and came to a screeching halt during the Bush years.

So today we are left to mourn Bhutto's death from these extremists and watch any hope of a stable Pakistan blown away. Any notion that Mehsud and the terrorists did not have Bhutto killed to protect Kahn and their desire for nukes can be dispelled in Khan's first answer of an interview in which he pledges his allegiance to radical Islam.
