Blair to Withdraw British Troops From Iraq

British media say Prime Minister Tony Blair will announce on Wednesday that a total of 3,000 British troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year.
Reports say Mr. Blair will announce in the House of Commons that 1,500 troops will withdraw in a few weeks and another 1,500 will leave later this year. Some 7,000 British troops are now serving as part of the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq.
