Mohammed-Nabi Roudaki, vice-chairman of security and foreign policy of the Islamic parliament said: “The U.S. better quickly release Iranian diplomats, otherwise American diplomats might also be kidnapped in Baghdad."

In an interview with the regime-run news agency Iran News, Roudaki, a former commanders of the revolutionary guards, continued his terrorist threats against the U.S. and said: "Americas should fear the day where Iraqi youths take up arms; then the corpses of American soldiers will be sent back to the U.S. in their coffins."

Referring to the arrest of the second secretary of the Islamic Republic's embassy in Baghdad, Roudaki said: "The foreign ministry has summoned the Iraqi and Swiss ambassadors who supposedly represent American interests in Iran and has voiced the Islamic Republic’s protest. Of course so far, the foreign ministry of the Islamic has not been successful in getting the 5 hostages taken in Erbil released.”
