Cleveland mayor's brother under investigation in schools

Plain Dealer

Nick Jackson, a high-ranking Cleveland schools administrator and brother of the Cleveland mayor, is under investigation on charges filed by a female colleague, school officials said Thursday.

Jackson returned to work as deputy chief of business operations Tuesday after a six-day paid leave ordered by Clinton Faulkner, human resources director.

Faulkner confirmed that Jackson is the target of an internal probe but would not reveal the nature of the complaint....

Faulkner insisted Jackson was not receiving preferential treatment because of his brother. Jackson earns about $125,000 a year.

He is one of only a few holdovers from the administration of former Chief Executive Barbara Byrd-Bennett.

It seems like the web of corruption and protection reaches even to the schools!
