Here's why people SHOULD be allowed to carry guns!

This story makes me think about a lot of things...

The first being the animals who did this should be executed on the spot when located. My second thought was how people will try and blame Wal-Mart for this crime and the third being would this have happened, had the victim been armed.

From Fox Channel 16 --
Police say the 30 year old man stopped at Wal-Mart at 2:30 in the morning. He just got off work and dropped by to pick up some dress pants for Thanksgiving dinner.

On his way out, it’s believed he was attacked by two men. According to the mother, a car came in and blocked his truck. Then someone jumped into his passenger seat, pointed a gun at him and demanded cash. The victim supposedly handed over everything, but it wasn't enough. We are told the criminals wanted him to drive to an ATM to take out more money. But he didn't have any credit cards or a bank account.

So the gunman shot him.

With the truck moving, the gunman jumped out. But, the victim was now paralyzed and unable to move. He couldn't pull his foot off the gas pedal. The truck slammed into a fence. With no way to let go of the accelerator, the tires kept spinning. The tread was ripped off. They eventually caught fire. There he was, the 30 year old driver, trapped in a burning truck. More...

To explain my feelings...

First - in my opinion, animals like this forfeit their rights!

Second - many of the do-gooder's out there blame Wal-Mart if so much as the sun comes up 2 minutes late, so obviously this crime was contributed too by some sort of negligence on their part.

Third - if this poor guy was armed and licensed to carry a firearm, most likely he would be making a statement to police how he fired and killed the scum bags in self defense.

Instead, his family is in the hospital watching him cling to life, paralyzed and charred like a deep fried turkey on Thanksgiving Day!

  1. I started writing a comment here- but it got so long I decided to post it on PB.

In short: having a gun may have helped the victim protect himself during the attack.

But a little common sense (e.g. not going shopping in a high-crime neighborhood at 2:30 in the morning) would have helped him avoid the whole encounter.
