A British school teacher, Gillian Gibbons, has been teaching school children in Sudan. Gibbons allowed her students to name a Teddy Bear. The students chose the name Mohammad for the teddy bear, as this is a common name in the Arab/Muslim world.
Marc Dann makes fun of Jesus on Good Friday and refuses to apologize - he gets protected by Rev. Strickland and the lefty blogger's for his offensive and insensitive remark against Christianity. Little did Gibbons realize the jihadikaze Muslim's running Sudan would react with the same religious insensitivity & tolerance as Marc "Flamer" Dann. For allowing the students to name the teddy bear Mohammad, Gillian was arrested for inciting religious hatred and insulting Islam.

Gibbons faces up to six months in jail, 40 lashes and a fine if she is found guilty of "insulting or degrading any religion, its rites, beliefs and sacred items or humiliating its believers", as stipulated in Sudan's penal code.
"What has happened was not haphazard or carried out of ignorance, but rather a calculated action and another ring in the circles of plotting against Islam," the Sudanese Assembly of the Ulemas said in a statement. More....
Please ask yourself the following question - Is what this teacher did, any worse than Marc "Check out the Flames" Dann & his Good Friday remarks?

Cant speak for King but I think the point is maybe a couple things.
ReplyDelete1.) This lady is being punished for doing something innocent and may get lashed.
2.) Dann's remarks were made with malice and meant to be derogatory and he gets praise.
3.) The behavior and outrage between the muslims and the teddy bear and how democrats act when any one of their special interest groups of races, religions, or sexual deviations is slighted or feels offended is close to the same. Of course barring the lashes.
But then again Marc Dann thinks Jesus being lashed is something to joke about, if I believed in violence, maybe a few lashes and a cross to bear would be a good idea.
