Supreme Court to hear DC Anti-Gun Law

The last time the Supreme Court reviewed a case over our 2nd Amendment - "right to keep and bear arms" was in 1939; United States v. Miller.

The Supreme Court will now put an end to a challenge, started by security guard Dick Heller, to Washington, DC's over restrictive & illegal ban on guns.

The question the justices agreed to take up is whether the Washington, D.C., handgun ban violates "the Second Amendment rights of individuals who are not affiliated with any state-regulated militia but who wish to keep handguns and other firearms for private use in their homes."

By a 2-1 vote, a panel of the D.C. Circuit reversed a trial court decision that the Second Amendment does not protect individual gun owners.

That March ruling interpreted the constitutional history through a different lens and said the "individual right … existed prior to the formation of the new government under the Constitution and was premised on the private use of arms for activities such as hunting and self-defense." More....

Maybe once and for all the anti-gun korrectniks will understand - we ARE allowed to legally own & carry guns! Their argument of guns kill people is the same as saying your pencil misspelled a word!
