Next Tuesday, November 6th, there will be a special election to fill the open seat in the 5th Congressional District of Ohio.

The Republican National Coalition for Life PAC mailed our Candidate Questionnaire
( http://www.rnclife.org/misc/cand_ques.html)
to State Senator Steve Buehrer and State Representative Bob Latta.

Their responses revealed that Senator Buehrer’s position on the life issues is 100% consistent with RNC/Life and the Republican National Platform.

Representative Latta’s answers were also consistent with RNC/Life,
except for Question number 3.

Question 3 “Do you think a mother should have the legal right to abortion for any of the following reasons:”

a. The baby was conceived through rape or incest (Rep. Latta left it blank)

b. The baby has a handicap (Rep. Latta Left it blank)

c. The baby has a genetic defect (Rep. Latta left it blank)

RNC/Life considers unanswered questions to be a negative response.

d. The health of the mother (Rep. Latta checked YES)

Support for legal abortion because of a “health” exception is decidedly a pro-abortion-choice position. If you read the questionnaire, you will see that RNC/Life carefully explains how the term “health” is defined in Doe v. Bolton, the companion Supreme Court decision to
Roe v. Wade.

“Health’ is defined to include “all factors—physical, emotional, psychological, familial and the woman’s age—relevant to the well being of the patient.” This broad definition has led to the sanctioning of abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

While Rep. Latta has voted pro-life on legislation to restrict or regulate the practice of abortion,
his answers to the RNC/Life Candidate Questionnaire indicate that he would not vote to make abortion illegal.

Please consider this when casting your vote on November 6th, 2008.

  2. Well anon, if you think you are the first moron to call me an idiot - you are wrong! My father began when I was 3yrs old.

    As for the post -

One of the reasons I posted this about Latta is because of one of his consultants, Scott A. Pullins (SAP).

Pullins has bombarded members of SOB Alliance with constant press realease on this IDIOT. To the point where some of us were asking he be banned.

The hiring of Mr. Pullsit shows me Latta is not the smartest tack in the pack. Honestly, I would not hire the self promoting, blow hard of the bog world, Pullsit to sweep my garage floor!

Mr. Pullsit through his bullshit bombardment of campaign spam also led to another member making donations to Buehrer.

So, in response to the garbage sent, this post was made. Furthermore, if Latta so much as breathes the wrong way before election day - you will see a post on it here!

  3. I agree that Pullins is an idiot...

but I find it hard to believe that anyone would really expect a woman who became pregnant by her RAPIST to keep the baby.

  4. Ah, but Mr. Latta wants us to make a decision against his opponent based on questionaire answers he left blank, and that organization doesn't consider negative answrs to be NO answers, like this right to life group does. What's good for the goose...
