Kuyahoga Kounty Still Has Voting Problems

Fox 8 News reported that some voters in Bedford Heights were unable to vote when they showed up at 6:30 a.m. at the Jimmy Dimora Center. Bedford Heights is having a heated Mayoral race and will be voting for school board members.

.....polls were supposed to open at 6:30 a.m., machines were not set up and poll workers say they didn't have some of the supplies they needed to help people vote.

Gina Thompson was also hoping to be among the first to vote.

"They said that they hadn't gone through a setup during the night, because I guess you are suppose to go through some kind of setup or test the night before, and that hadn't happened," Thompson said.

Christine Byers was in charge of one of the three precincts at the center. "The worker that was assigned to the machines, it was her first time so she had nobody to help her with the machines. So we're trying to get the machines up," Byers told Fox 8.

The reporter noted that after the workers contacted the B.O.E., the polls were finally up and running by 7:30 a.m. But true to form for Kuyahoga Kounty, there were problems at several other locations through the county.

The hand picked democrat mouth piece picked to run the Kuyahoga Kounty B.O.E. for Secretary of State Brunnehilda is fellow broom flyer, Jane Platten. Brunnehilda took charge of the Kuyahoga Kounty BOE as a result of GOP Chairmen Blob Bennett and his over inflated ego.

Platten takes a page out of former Director Micheal Vu's book when confronted with voting problems - blame other people or just lie....

Jane Platten with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections admits problems at a number of voting precincts including Euclid High School and Rocky River High School. Most of the problems were similar to the one in Bedford Heights and were attributed to inexperience at the locations.

"A lot of them were locations, places that haven't had an election," Platten told Fox 8. "There were some scattered (problems) in others too that have had elections, but for the most part it was concentrated where they haven't done this for a while."

I'm not sure about Rocky River or Euclid High School's, but I know there has been voting at the Jimmy Dimora Center for many years. With all the time, money and attention spent on this election - inexperience is no excuse for more failures!
