Boycott HBO

Cable TV channel, Home Box Office (HBO), is the home for the show Real Time with Bill Maher.

Maher lost his last show on HBO, Politically Incorrect, for tasteless remarks after 9/11. Obiously he has not learned his lesson.

In his February 23rd show, Maher equates God to a serial killer remarking -

The Bible is full of a lot of violence. I mean, God in the Old Testament is a psychopath. He just kills, kills, kills, for no reason, good reason, bad reason. He's jealous. He just wants to kill. – Bill Maher

Regarding the blog posts on Huffington's site regarding the recent attempt on V.P. Cheney's life, Maher spouted off - (Reposted from News Busters.org)

Maher: What about the people who got onto the Huffington Post – and these weren’t even the bloggers, these were just the comments section – who said they, they expressed regret that the attack on Dick Cheney failed.

Joe Scarborough: Right.

Maher: Now…

John Ridley: More than regret.

Maher: Well, what did they say?

Ridley: They said “We wish he would die.” I mean, it was (?) hate language.

Barney Frank: They said the bomb was wasted. (laughter and applause)

Maher: That’s a funny joke. But, seriously, if this isn’t China, shouldn’t you be able to say that? Why did Arianna Huffington, my girlfriend, I love her, but why did she take that off right away?

Ridley: It’s one thing to say you hate Dick Cheney, which applies to his politics. It’s another thing to say, “I’m sorry he didn’t die in an explosion." And I think, you know…

Maher: But you should be able to say it. And by the way...

Frank: Excuse me, Bill, but can I ask you a question? Do you decide what the topics are for this show?

Maher: Yeah, I decide the topics, they don’t go there.

Frank: But you exercise control over the show the way that she does over her blog.

Maher: But I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow. (applause)

Scarborough: If someone on this panel said that they wished that Dick Cheney had been blown up, and you didn’t say…

Frank: I think he did.

Scarborough: Okay. Did you say…

Maher: No, no. I quoted that.

Frank: You don’t believe that?

Maher: I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.

Imagine that - some are upset Ann Coulter called John Edwards a faggot and she is terrible!

Hypocrites? You be the judge!

Bill Maher Sorry the Assassination Attempt on Dick Cheney Failed

  1. Your superpower is that you smell like dandelions whenever someone lies.

Interesting quote, albeit it as vague as George Bush's mind.

So, King, as I enter your blog it smells, well, musty and dank. Do you ever open any windows to let in fresh air?

I am visiting here because you posted that joke on my blog-the joke about admiring those specious swiftboaters who denegraded John Kerry. Those nutcases were a hoot- especially the one who just happened to be working for George Bush.

Honesty never has been one of those core 'values' the GOP harps about, now has it?

They were quite the joke as was your post.

    Thanks for the laugh.

  2. Well the trash can opens up and you speak.....

Your remarks, anti-American and Jesus hating blog, could only be expected coming from a former educator.

Anytime, you would like to debate, in any forum, under any pretense, the the traitorous actions of John Kerry, let me know!

Set it up on your garbage page, and I would be happy to debate this issue with you on your terms.

You will be made to look more foolish, than you already do.

I was always told an educated fool, is very dangerous. You are living proof!

Now put your money where your mouth is or shut the hell up!

  3. Just opened the windows to smell the fumes of Eco-man Al Gore's private jet flying over.

    Sniff, sniff, Hmm what's that?
No smell of liberals, just the sweet smell of American Freedom!

For the record - I posted the above challenge on mudheads page.
