Republican presidential long-shot Mitt Romney tried to improve his chances Wednesday by tapping into the power of Ohio.
The former Massachusetts governor visited the Buckeye State for an informal meeting with Ed Crawford, the multimillionaire industrialist from Kirtland Hills who is a top Republican fundraiser and pal of President Bush.
Romney's campaign said the meeting was not about money but about getting to know Crawford.Romney, however, did pick up campaign checks. After meeting with Crawford, he attended a fundraiser in Cincinnati, home of some of country's top Republican money-men.
