Al-Qaeda targets the Taj Mahal

Concerned about the continued threat of terrorist attacks, especially soft targets, India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has increased security. Special attention is being placed on the Taj Mahal, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

From Oh My News --
The Indian Capital New Delhi is on high alert after having received an email threat today that has threatened attacks against judges and to blow up the Taj Mahal and the country's Parliament. The email is shocking, as it has threatened to target a few judges and blow up Parliament and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal in Agra.

The threat has come as a blow to the Indian security agencies who had some time back received an email threatening to blow up Indian airports on Jan. 12, 2008.

The threat received today at the Delhi High Court has once again not only raised the issue of security in the Indian capital, which has been put on high alert. The security officials are taking the threat very seriously as the email has reportedly come from Al-Qaeda militant outfit.
