In the latest news from the Cuyahoga County Bored of Elections we learn the forced switch to optical scanners will take longer to count our votes. Will this longer time assure an accurate, untampered with vote count? HELL NO!
In my opinion, I would say the new scanners will allow for more possibilities of voter fraud and vote tampering. Causing me to eat 4 bottles of aspirin and pondering brain surgery - I find myself agreeing with the ACLU!
At a $30 million dollar price tag & hell bent on delivering Ohio to the dems in the '08 presidential election, Brunnehilda has assured Cuyahoga County will be no problem!
1-2-3.... Will a vote count from me?
4-5-6.... Hey, I heard these optical scanners can do tricks!
7-8-9.... Don't worry, Brunnehilda say's they'll do fine!

(maybe just a little illegal)
From the PD --The county expects to count about 400,000 paper ballots the day of the primary with about 15 optical scanners. Board of Elections Director Jane Platten said the process won't be finished until the morning of March 5 at the earliest.
Voting rights activists dislike the system because voters are not alerted when they fill out a ballot incorrectly. The county's old touch-screen system notified voters before they cast their ballot.
ACLU lawyer Carrie Davis said the new system violates a state law that prohibits counties from buying machines that don't alert voters who invalidate their ballots by selecting too many candidates in a race. More....
Scrapping our current voting system = $21 million
New system = $9 million
No bid contract for illegal scanners = Business as usual in Cuyahoga County!
The same people who are crying about the touch screens were the sames one who were complaining about the punch cards. But for a few idiots in Florida back in 2000, we never would've been in this mess.
