The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem
The pledge of allegiance should be rendered by standing at attention, facing the flag, and saluting. When the national anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note. The salute is directed to the flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.
I suppose you should give Jean Schmidt a call and let her know that her shirt is disrespecting the U.S. flag...
ReplyDeleteJoseph,
ReplyDeleteI had to delete my first repsonse. I commented without looking at the pic you linked. It was my mistake thinking that you would not be petty...
Jospeh - you are really going out on a limb here. Tryin to imply the guys (oops, mean Jean Schmidt) shirt in the picture is disrespectful to the flag is laughable at best.
Joseph his/her shirt is red with a stripe of stars across it. This shirt is not even remotely close to what somebody would call being a "Flag" shirt.
Nice try though kiddo!
I bet it sucks realizing your elitist candidate is a Socialist and Marxist hater of the American Flag.
That wasn't the pledge, that was the national anthem, you do not hold your heart for the anthem, you do it for making a pledge...duh.
ReplyDeleteYou are the elitest
Anonymous: Why is everyone else around him holding their hand over their heart? And what about him refusing to have the American flag pinned onto his jacket? Just disrespect for a country that was dumb enough to vote for him. I heard he refused to put the flag on his jacket and give respect to it because it was something like "This flag represents hate around the world" or some dumb Liberal bullshit like that.
