Deadbeat Baby Daddy of the Year: John Edwards

In my opinion one of the lowest forms of life are guys who refuse to financially take care of their children - or refuse to acknowledge them. I put them on the same level as the tough guys out there that have to beat on women.

There are tons of deadbeat Baby-Daddy's out there, but John Edwards takes the cake!

Like a spineless little wuss, Edwards ran into a public mens room & hid when the paparazzi caught him leaving the hotel room of his mistress, Rielle Hunter, and her toddler, Frances Quinn Hunter - who is undoubtedly Edwards child.

While making the usual tearful apology to the public and his cancer-stricken wife, Edwards admitted the affair, but denied being the child's father. Edwards and Hunter both have refused DNA testing to prove paternity.

To date, Hunter has refused to make an issue of Edwards being the father and has pretty much stayed out of the spotlight - but with Edwards privately admitting the child is his and his wife Elizabeth ready to release a book about her dealing with the affair - Hunter may be speaking out very soon...

The ex-senator sprang into action when he saw how upset Rielle had become over Elizabeth's forthcoming book, Resilience: Reflections on the Burdens and Gifts of Facing Life's Adversities, which will be published in May.

"Rielle has become extremely edgy, and John's been afraid she might go public before Elizabeth's book comes out so she can put her story out there first," the close source told The ENQUIRER.

"These concerns led to John telling Rielle that he had sat down with Elizabeth and admitted to being the baby's father. This is something Rielle had been pushing John to do for a long, long time because he initially told Elizabeth he was not the father.

"The last thing John wants right now is for Rielle to go public before Elizabeth's book comes out, make new headlines and trigger a nasty battle between the two women."
