The Obama White House - Camelot II or Scam-a-lot I?

As a country we are facing very difficult economic times. Times where, as a country, we all need to tighten our belt. While unemployment is rising - the stock market continues finding new lows. With people being thrown out of their homes, having no food to eat today and fighting the hunger pangs of tomorrow - in this time of economic uncertainty - we should be proud that our President leads by example...
"Using one of the world’s most famous private residences as bait, President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are unleashing a bipartisan charm offensive and exploiting every square inch of their new home to make friends and influence rivals. The social calendar suggests a return to the days of Camelot," the report said.

"Since moving into their new digs, the first couple has hosted a half-dozen gatherings – from bipartisan cocktail receptions to a public open house to the more intimate Super Bowl party ... ending many of their days past midnight," the report said.

"Most recently … the Obamas opened the White House doors to House caucus leaders from the moderate Blue Dog Democrats and the Congressional Black Caucus. White House aides say the couple hopes to make the Wednesday cocktail parties a tradition." (WND)

As most Americans are rationing out portions of Mac & Cheese, our President treats his friends to Stevie Wonder concerts & tax-payer funded dinners of...

"Celery Soup, Wild Mushroom Crisps, Steelhead Salmon with Citrus sauce, Crispy Spinach, Toasted Saffron Couscous Pearls, Baby Iceberg lettuce with Maytag Bleu Cheese and Yogurt ranch dressing and for dessert, Milk Chocolate velvet cake" – all served on gold-rimmed china.

I understand Michelle Obama is the most gracious hostess, and kindly reminds their guests not to 'break' White House property. But notice no pork was served. I guess that will get slopped on our plates in the next tasty serving of Stimulus Stroganoff.

Is it fair to criticize President "Party all the Time" Obama for throwing taxpayer funded parties nearly every night with their 'friends' and supporters? Surely these gatherings are used to discuss politics and policies - right?

"You would have felt like a fool talking about politics at this party," said Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., said after one major event. "I was surprised how much of a social event it was and how little of a political occasion it was."

"We haven't seen this kind of entertaining in a really long time," Dee Dee Myers, former White House press secretary to Bill Clinton, said in the report.

The uproar and hypocrisy of these extravagant events has rightfully earned criticism from White House watch dog, Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch. Klayman will be submitting a request asking the General Services Administration to determine exactly how much of our tax dollars are being wasted on Obamao's attempt at recreating the Kennedy Camelot years with what looks more like Scam-a-lot.

So, for all the Obamacrats who are dealing with buyers remorse and scratching their head fearing they've been hoodwinked by Obamao ~our party throwing Premier who likes getting "jiggy with it," remember what street thug turned boxing promoter Don King says ~ "Only in Amerika."

  1. Geez... huuh.. where to start with this one.. First of all, every American president in recent history has been throwing lavish dinners and cocktail parties while you've been drinking beer and eating Mac and Cheese. "Buyers remorse" over OBAMA!!!?? you crack me up. Did you see that last guy who just left for the Rach? You elephants always find someway to throw a racist comment in there too. Getin jiggy makes you uncomfortable yes?? Poor baby, maybe you should stay in your home and keep adding up those lb's. No kidding right!!! How dare our President attempt something new to try and bring both sides together... oh wait, but you ain't comfortable with no change kinda facy gizmo kinda stuff, ryyyyyyight parner? Geez ya'll are dumb. P.S. argue all you want, you, yes you/all of you who might bash Obama, are now.....in.....the.....minority :) God it feels good to say that. And, i might add, i'd like to thank God for this win, it was most definitely his doing.
