Could it be we are only 10 Carnivals away from #100? Yes, in fact it is true. The anticipation is killing Ohio bloggers. My unofficial look ahead puts it around the middle of January. With such excitement, who can even worry about the upcoming holidays? Unfortunately, you will have to settle for edition #89 this week. More....

Carnival of Ohio Politics #89
Kucinich - Bush is Unstable!
Cleveland Boy Blunder, democrat presidential candidate Dennis Kookcinich, is upset about Bush's remarks that Iran could be the cause of the next World War.
Quickly rushing to the aid of his jihadakaze terrorist friends, Kookcinich feels Bush's remarks were irresponsible and questions his state of mind....
"I seriously believe we have to start asking questions about his mental health," Kucinich, an Ohio congressman, said in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board on Tuesday. "There's something wrong. He does not seem to understand his words have real impact."
"You cannot be a president of the United States who's wanton in his expression of violence," Kucinich said. "There's a lot of people who need care. He might be one of them. If there isn't something wrong with him, then there's something wrong with us. This, to me, is a very serious question." More....
Does not seem to understand his words have impact? Does Kookcinich listen to what he says?
This coming from a guy who meets with terrorists, but refuses to meet with our troops. To question a guys mental stability when you claim you are a, "Gay, Black, Gang Banger & only True Women in the Race" seems a little off base.
I wonder if he was wearing his aluminum foil hat when he said this?

Politically Incorrect Gazette pinches out "Steaming Load Award"
The guys over at Politically Incorrect Gazette continue to out do themselves!
Recognizing the fact that they were limited in their
Girlieman of the Week awards, and not wanting any of the other Korrectnik ass hats left out, Hambo thrills them spitless with a new award -Steaming Loads For October 26, 2007
This steaming load was deposited by the Port of Seattle Commission. They are terrified that a local Torah wrangler, Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky, who crawled out from under a rock last year to whine about the Sea-Tac International Airport’s blatantly ‘religious’ Christmas display, last year, will do it all over again.. In 2006, Rabbi Elazar threatened to launch a lawsuit if Sea-Tac didn’t erect an eight-foot tall menorah next to the large, ribbon-festooned tree in the main terminal.
After some blowback from outraged rational adults, Rabbi Elazar backed off, but he vowed to bring the whole subject up again, much earlier, this year. With that threat hanging over their heads the Port of Seattle Commission managed, quite successfully, to expunge anything remotely reminiscent of Christmas, secular or sacred, from the Sea-Tac Airport’s festive decor:
‘...a grove of luminous birches up to 30 feet high and hung with crystals and mirrors to reflect colored, low-energy lights emanating from within piles of Dacron snow...’
‘...Above the trees will be a spiraling flock of migrating birds cut out of foam. Every once in a while, non-toxic snow will fall over the forest to the sound of wind chimes, joining the hubbub of Sea-Tac's busy holiday travel season from the forest's location at the south end of the main terminal, in the international arrivals hall...’ (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)
The Port of Seattle Commission will need to reserve the biggest turd on this reeking platter for Rabbi Elazar, the man who singlehandedly, killed Christmas at Sea-Tac.

Rocky River Ward 1 Councilman Spins Web of Deceit
During this time of the year we can count on several things, the World Series, Clam Bakes, Halloween, the Browns, leaves changing colors and candidates campaigning for election.
As they are selling themselves, we can only expect the campaigning candidates will have a certain amount of "spin" in the portrayal of their accomplishments and goals on how to better serve you.
But what happens when this spin crosses the line to deceit? It appears this is the case in the Council race for Ward 1 in Rocky River where Thomas Hunt is trying to keep this gift from his old friend.
Thomas Hunt who was given the seat when Rob Frost stepped down, has to now earn the seat. As he is out on the campaign trail trying to fool voters into electing him, it appears he maybe spinning a web of deceit.
Already accused of stealing the yard signs of his opponent, Hunt also seems to be less than truthful in his campaign literature....
Tom began private practice in 1996 and has been an associate to the law director for the City of Highland Heights, Ohio.
When contacting the City of Highland Hts., I was informed they did not know a Thomas Hunt, nor did any Thomas Hunt work for their Law Department. Upon further questioning I was directed to Finance Director, Mr. Tony Ianiro. Mr. Ianiro confirmed that Hunt's law partner is the Law Director of their city, but the City of Highland Hts has no relationship whatsoever with Thomas Hunt.
In fact Mr. Ianiro stated that "the City of Highland Hts does not even recognize the position of Associate Law Director, has never retained the services of Hunt - individually or through his partners firm." In short, no payment was ever made to Hunt for any legal work on behalf of the City of Highland Hts.
Could this be an innocent typo on Hunt's part? I think not - I have verified with several RPCC Scanning Committee members that Hunt portrayed himself to be Associate Law Director of Highland Hts in his dog & pony endorsement interview. In fact, during a phone conversation, Mr. Hunt, thinking he was speaking with a potential client, personally informed me that he did not work for Highland Hts, but his partner was their Law Director.
But wait, there is more!
It appears that Hunt may also be getting help in the way of questionable votes from family members.
A simple search through 411.com and local directory assistance will verify Mr. Hunt has a brother Neal, who resides in Ward 3 of Rocky River. Problem being, Neal is and has been voting from his old address in Ward 1 for quite some time. An oversight - maybe, but it appears even more suspect when you continue voting from an address outside the ward in which you live - especially when your brother is running for council in that ward.
Voter lists are a basic tool for all candidates. How is that Hunt does not know his brother is registered in Ward 1, but living in Ward 3? Will the residents again be told this is just ANOTHER misunderstanding by candidate Hunt?
- Stealing signs - misunderstanding
- Not knowing where you work - misunderstanding
- Brother lives & votes in different wards - misunderstanding
Whether deceit, incompetence, or just ANOTHER unfortunate misunderstanding (Yeah Right!) - is this someone that should be elected to office? You must ask yourself - if a play on words will be used to deceive you during the campaign, could you not only expect this behavior if elected?
If Hunt does not know who he represents as an attorney, how the hell will he know who he represents if elected to council? Can you be sure - it will be you?

Coffee Shop Crackdown
While I'm a gas station coffee lover over the ridiculously priced garbage many of you buy from the sissy coffee houses, the nut jobs in Iran seem to be going over board.....
From Iran Focus --
Four bookshops in Tehran this week closed their coffee shops after receiving a 72-hour ultimatum from Amaken-e Omoomi, a state body governing the retail trade. The order has led to the closure of the cafe in one of the city's best-known bookshops, Nashr-e Sales, which has hosted reading sessions by writers, including the Nobel prize-winning Turkish author, Orhan Pamuk, and become a popular meeting point for literary types.
Amaken justified the closures by declaring that the coffee shops constituted an illegal "mixing of trades". However, critics suspect the move is aimed at restricting the gathering of intellectuals and educated young people. More....
Flag Folding Recital Banned by National Cemetery Administration
The recital of the Thirteen Folds of the Flag will no longer be allowed at veteran funerals taking place at any of our 125 National Cemeteries.
S
ome panty waist korrectnik made a complaint about the verse representing the 11th fold after attending a veteran funeral at Riverside National Cemetery.
The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. From the Press Enterprise --
Mike Nacincik, the spokesman for the National Cemetery Administration, said the new policy, which was outlined in a Sept. 27 memo, is aimed at creating uniform services throughout the military graveyard system.
He said the 13-fold recital is not part of the U.S. Flag Code and is not government approved....
Nacincik said that while the flag-folding narrative includes references to God that the government does not endorse, the main reason for the new rules is uniformity.
He said the flag-folding narrative can be read but only if families make arrangements on their own and do not use cemetery workers, which include volunteers. The U.S. government owns Riverside National, the most active national cemetery in the country with more than 8,000 burials of veterans and immediate family members each year. More....
RPCC Leaders Should Take Note
The election for Mayor in Maple Hts is heating up something fierce!
Former Council President Jeff Lansky who handily won the primary is facing off against Councilwoman Neomia Mitchell. This post will also show why the current leadership in the Cuyahoga County Republican Party needs to be removed.
The current, and thankfully outgoing, Maple Hts Mayor, Michael Ciaravino, is endorsing Mitchell, which should come as no surprise as Lansky ran against Ciaravino 4 yrs ago. Both democrats at the time, Lansky was screwed over for the party endorsement as he was not a political hack for Team Dimoron like Ciaravino and was known to speak his mind.
Lansky, who has supported both republicans and democraps before, considers himself an independent for the most case and politely declined the endorsement from the ineffective Republican Party of Cuyahoga County (RPCC) this year.
Not knowing Lansky is currently a registered republican, neighboring Garfield Hts Mayor, Thomas Longo, endorsed Lansky for this years race based on merit. Longo being an Executive member of the Cuyahoga County Democrats is now facing heat for endorsing a republican over a party endorsed democrat candidate.....
The following is where the failed leaders of the RPCC should take note (emphasis added).....An anonymous group called "Loyal Democrats for a Better Party" two weeks ago issued leaflets urging Democrats to complain about Longo to Dimora.
Voters in Garfield Heights and Maple Heights are heavily Democrat. Day said the party received "one or two" inquiries.
Longo said he did not know Lansky was a Republican. This is a perfect example of WHY it is time for a change in leadership in the RPCC. Jimmy gets a couple complaints and he ACTS! On the other hand, RPCC Chairmen Frost routinely allows members of our party to cross party lines with endorsements and campaign donations - with NO repercussions.
Colleen Corrigan Day, executive director of the county Democratic Party, said party Chairman Jimmy Dimora intended to talk with Longo this week.
When confronted about RPCC members such as Roger Synenberg, Judge Joan Synenberg, Dave "Hamburger Helper" Harbarger, North Royalton Mayor Cathy Luks, Pepper Pike Mayor Bruce Akers, Bay Village Mayor Debra "Falling Star" Sutherland, etc... supporting democrats over republicans and donating to democrat campaigns - our chairman is silent!

Bin Laden's Message to Iraq
Taking issue with a reported 70% decline in violence and that several Iraqi Sunni tribes HAVE banded together and are now helping U.S. troops, Bin Laden urges his followers to watch, "against hypocritical enemies who are infiltrating your ranks to create sedition among mujahedeen groups."
In what may be a last ditch effort to solidify his power and extremist groups in Iraq, Bin Laden heaps praise on his followers but realizes their heavy handed tactics and the random killings are alienating the more moderate Sunni's from Al-Qaeda in Iraq.....
"My mujahedeen brothers in Iraq, you are a people worthy of praise and flattery. You've done well to carry out a glorious duty by fighting the enemy. But some of you have lagged behind in carrying out another glorious duty, which is to unite as one - as God wants," bin Laden said.
"The mujahidin are the children of this nation ... they do right things and wrong things," bin Laden said. "Those who are accused of violations of God's commandments should face trial," bin Laden said. "The interest of the Islamic nation surpasses that of a group," he said.
"The strength of faith is in the strength of the bond between Muslims and not that of a tribe or that of nationalism."
Girlieman of the Week - Senator Harry Reid
From the Politically Incorrect Gazette (PIG)
Girlieman of the Week
Date Awarded: October 19, 2007
Girlieman: Senator Harry Reid
Antics: Tried to Muzzle Rush, Got PUNKED
Led by Harry Reid, 41 Demoncrat members of the United States Senate used comments that were twisted beyond recognition to attack a private citizen named Rush Limbaugh. Full of themselves, and assorted other noxious substances, these bloviating boneheads tried to use Nanny State coercion to silence Rush Limbaugh by applying pressure to his syndicator, Clear Channel. That, at least, was the intention of these gutless wonders who leave an intolerable stench on Capitol Hill.
Craven cowards that they were in writing and sending this letter with its between the lines 'shut him up, or else' implications, these 41 Demoncrat cringers went blatantly girlie when Rush turned the tables on them with a world class punking. After getting the original letter bearing those incriminating signatures and written on Harry Reid's Senate Marority Leader stationary, Rush put the letter up for auction on eBay. Rush has promised to match the winning bid with cash out of his own pocket and donate ALL the proceeds of the auction to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, benefitting the education of children of deceased Marines and federal law enforcement personnel.
When the punking Rush was giving these Demoncrat scumbags reached 7 figures, and the eBay sale was nearing its end, Harry Reid finally mentioned the letter sale. But, instead of admitting that Rush had nailed those 41 Demoncrat letter signers fair and square, Reid tried to take credit for the idea. In Dingy Harry Reid's version of reality, he dreamed up this whole auction idea and sold it to Clear Channel's CEO, Mark Mays. He's trying to rewrite history and it will probably work, since his blatant 'hint' will be scarfed up by the slavishly devoted News Nitwit toadies who have remained curiously silent about this punking. In his senate floor remarks, Reid managed to ignore the inconvenient truth that whatever is raised in the eBay sale will be MATCHED by Rush Limbaugh. Reid managed to ignore Rush's challenge to the 41 letter signers to match the final sale price out of their own pockets.
For trying to use Nanny State intimidation to silence a private citizen exercising his free speech...for cowering under their desks when Rush turned the tables on them....for swallowing a $2,100,100 punking...for trying to take credit for the eBay sale when the punking got too big to ignore...for being a gutless wonder, on every possible level, Dingy Harry Reid is the Politically Incorrect Gazette's Girlieman of the Week. The Politically Incorrect Gazette salutes Rush Limbaugh for resetting the public humiliation bar into the stratosphere with the World's Greatest Punking. Rush, you are the man!
Parting shot: The following Senatorial scumbags share this 'you've been punked' humiliation with Dingy Harrry Reid: Hillary Rodham Clinton, Blanche Lincoln, Richard Durbin, Kent Conrad, Bob Menendez, Charles Schumer, Christopher Dodd, Barbara Mikulski, Patty Murray, Byron Dorgan, Bill Nelson, Daniel Akaka, Dianne Feinstein, Barack Obama, Max Baucus, Tom Harkin, Jack Reed, Joseph Biden, Daniel Inouye, Jay Rockefeller, Barbara Boxer, Edward M. Kennedy, Ken Salazar, Sherrod Brown, John Kerry, Bernie Sanders, Robert Byrd, Amy Klobuchar, Debbie Stabenow, Benjamin Cardin, Mary Landrieu, Jon Tester, Tom Carper, Frank Lautenberg, Jim Webb Bob Casey, Patrick Leahy, Sheldon Whitehouse, Carl Levin, Ron Wyden.Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Update: Walton Hills Council President to run for Mayor
I am updating this post as there has been many comments on this older post. The comments have came after my original post on 7/13/07 was recently handed out to residents of Walton Hills.
Please note that there was also an "Anti-King Blog" started by an anonymous poster who works on the Hurst Campaign.
I wonder.... if Hurst gets elected is this the behavior residents can expect if they disagree with him? Are these the type of people the residents can expect Hurst will surround himself with if elected? Is this a prelude of how the residents will be treated by Hurst and his Nightmare Team?
King
Routinely setting up the night before at the polls for the best sign positions, you can bet election day in Walton Hills will be a zoo this year.....
Council President, Kevin Hurst, will give up the safety of his seat and run for Mayor.
Current Mayor Marlene Anielski has pulled petitions and has stated she is still deciding if she will run again."After spending 42 months on Council, it has been made clear to me that Council can only do so much," he said July 9. "And I want to be pro-active, not reactive.
"I followed certain, specific criteria in making this decision to run and I believe my decision is in the best interests of the residents of Walton Hills," Hurst said. "I prayed alone and then I prayed with my family and then I talked with many people."
Hurst said his ability to communicate with people, his ability to make smart decisions and his willingness to work long hours makes him qualified to lead Walton Hills.
Walton Hills is currently in a fight with Bedford Schools to leave the school district. The biased state mediator has ruled Walton Hills is not allowed to leave the district. The case is currently under appeal.
Hurst having been on both side of this issue, notes he looks to prayer for guidance. While commendable, it does not appear to be sending him a clear message.
Prior to serving on council, Hurst was against Walton Hills pulling out of the failing Bedford School District. After being elected, he switched to being for the pullout, now flipping back, he is against it.
The biggest mistake Walton hills residents could do now would be to "Quit" their fight to pull out. If a decision will be made in their favor, it will be at the appeals court level.
I had the chance to listen to Councilman Hurst on a radio show one evening. Hurst was unwilling to answer any questions and continually referred back to his faith as his guiding light.
One who already sees the light is current Mayor Marlene Anielski. While Mayor Anielski may not bring chocolate chip cookies on a platter to meetings to keep everyone happy, she sure does bring a lot to the table.
Anielski is the ONE elected official in this area who has had the courage to stand up and speak truthfully about our schools. After trying to work within the system to effect positive change in our schools and being rebuffed, Anielski, acted on the residents cry for "help" with conviction.
While maybe sincere, Hurst appears to be easily pulled in opposite directions. The communities in this area need strong leaders with good direction.
Mayor Anielski, has the keys to the car, is buckled up with a full tank of gas and knows where she is going!
Walton Hills residents need to keep up the fight and keep Mayor Anielski in the drivers seat!

Sorry, I Could Not Resist!
With my juvenile humor.... opportunities with this story abound!
It could be Cindy Sheehans campaign office and used to replace the original Peace House and called the "Piece of Sh#* House" or "Peace House II".
And only being fair, it could be....
Sen. Larry Craig's vacation home or new housing he built for young male staffers.
But it is not, I am not good with Korean name's, so please bear with me. Looks like some guy named, Some Gae Duck, was born in a public bathroom.
Apparently, it must have been dirty, (Possibly from Sen. Craig's shoes?), and now he is on a mission to promote cleaner bathrooms.....
And here I thought only the U.S. had moron's like Al Gore & Dennis Kookcinich!SEOUL (AFP) - Sim Jae-Duck was born in a restroom and now he plans to live and die in one -- a 1.6 million dollar toilet-shaped house designed to promote his tireless campaign for cleaner loos worldwide.
Sim will open what is billed as the world's one and only toilet house on November 11 to mark the launch of his World Toilet Association. More....

Rocky River Councilman Steals Opponents Yard Sign's
Rocky River Ward 1 Councilman Thomas "Who Me?" Hunt has been caught red handed stealing opponent Joe Kotach's yard signs.
Being at the RPCC meeting in which endorsements were given, Hunt's behavior in stealing signs does not surprise me. Come on, if you are willing to steal the RPCC endorsement, what the hell is snatching a few signs.
It is standard operating procedure that the scanning committee endorsement selection remains secret until they are read aloud at the RPCC endorsement meeting.
Many scanning committee members were very upset and felt betrayed that somehow Mr. Hunt was prematurely notified that for his race a dual endorsement for him and Mr. Kotach would be given. Many believe, and it would be hard to dispute, that a little bird wearing a Hawaiian shirt may have "chirped" this information to his friend Hunt.
The other oversight by the RPCC is how they conveniently forgot to list Mr. Kotach on the scanning committee selection sheet of endorsements handed out to RPCC members at the meeting. This was the only race in which both candidates were NOT listed on the selection sheet.
Confirming this "oversight" was that at our last meeting in which more area endorsements were handed out, the selection sheet had all candidates listed. Again not the case in the Kotach/Hunt Rocky River Ward 1 race.
Through slight of hand and Chinese math to count the votes for the motion to only endorse Hunt, the theft of the party endorsement was complete.
Obviously thinking stealing the endorsement was not enough to be elected to the council seat he was appointed too, Hunt is slinking down to the level of stealing yard signs. While taking the time to teach Hunt the sleazier side of politics, the RPCC forgot to tell Mr. Hunt - Sign's don't vote!
After speaking with the residents, Kotoch said he learned that Hunt, 37, and his wife, Tammy, had taken the signs claiming Kotoch did not have authorization to place them in the yards. Hunt denies this claim, saying there was miscommunication about who could remove the signs.Councilman Thomas "Who Me?" Hunt spittled to police it was a misunderstanding! Yeah right! I guess the same guys that counted the phantom votes in the endorsement put the ripped up kotach signs in the back of Hunt's van. That's almost as bad and believable as Clinton denying he had sex with Moose Lewinsky after her "stained" blue dress showed up!
Kotoch said after meeting with residents, he spotted Hunt driving through the ward in a navy minivan. He approached the vehicle and spotted his yard signs, "damaged beyond repair," in the back seat.
"Miscommunication happens when one resident or spouse approves a yard sign and another doesn't know about it or wants it taken away," Hunt said. "I've spoken with both homeowners and Mr. Kotoch and we've agreed it was a misunderstanding. A number of people had called my home and asked my supporters to remove the signs. Joe and I have talked about it and have come to amicable understanding."Never his intent to steal yard signs? That sounds a lot like the Sen. Craig bathroom defense! I never intended to be a bathroom perv.... it just happened!
Hunt said it was never his intent to steal the yard signs.

College Suspends Student for Questioning Gun Ban
Scheffler exchanged several emails with university officials stating his views on the campus ban of concealed weapons and pointed out the VA Tech shooting may have been stopped had students been allowed to legally arm themselves. Officials deemed these emails as threatening and in violation of the school's judicial codes. Here is a partial text of one of the emails.....
"Considering this university also pushes 'diversity' initiatives like VA Tech, maybe its 'leadership' will reconsider its ban on conceal carry law abiding gun owners.... Ironically, according to a few VA Tech forums, there are plenty of students complaining that this wouldnt (sic) have happened if the school wouldnt (sic) have banned their permits a few months ago…," Sheffler wrote.
"I just dont (sic) understand why leftists dont (sic) understand that criminals dont (sic) care about laws; that is [why] they're criminals…," he said.
"Considering that accoriding (sic) to the university president that there were recently serious 'hate crimes' that were committed in the womens bathrooms; there may be people on the edge ready to snap. I cant (sic) say I blame them, I myself am tired of having to pay my own extremely overpriced tuition to make up for minorities not paying theirs," he said. More....
I am a strong supporter of our "right to keep and bear arms," but I do not believe firearms should be allowed in schools. But, in light of the recent trend of shooting's at colleges, there should be an avenue for students to legally carry firearms to defend themselves.
I would believe carrying a firearm at a college would be a privledge and not a right. Meaning any student wishing to be armed must complete firearm training course approved by the school, the students MUST register and have a school issued CCW permit over and above any state laws.
Furthermore, professors would be notified of which students in their class had CCW permits. I also believe there should be a no-tolerance policy. If a school issued CCW permit holder violates any policies, he immediately forfiets his permit.
Some from each side - pro-gun and/or anti-gun - may not agree with my position. The pro-gun guys need to realize the "we" know legal guns and permit holders are not the problem. The restrictions at colleges would not be an infringement on our rights. Let the restrictions be put in place - most legal gun owners are responsible owners and would not violate any of their rules.
For the anti-gun nuts - your rules are not working! People are getting shot like fish in a barrel and have no way of protecting themselves. When you see a rampaging gunmen get his head splattered by a legal gun toting CCW permit holder - you can thank him!
Thank him? Yes - I am sure you would rather have the police take your statement than be filling out a toe tag for you!
Christian Bookstore Owner Killed By - Guess Who?
The manager of a Christian bookstore in the Gaza Strip who was found dead last weekend was first publicly beaten and tortured by Islamic gunmen accusing him of spreading Christianity, according to witnesses and Palestinian security officials speaking to WND.
The body of Rami Ayyad, who managed the only Christian bookstore in Gaza, reportedly was found Sunday riddled with gunshot and stab wounds. Ayyad had been abducted the previous night as he closed his shop, according to a local Christian group. More....

HILDABEAST'S REAL STAND ON IRAQ AND HOW IT HELPS OBAMA
From the email bag....
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN
Sen. Barack Obama, groping for a position from which to differentiate his position on the war in Iraq from Hillary's, has turned to the past to find traction.
“There is a choice that has emerged in this campaign, one that the American people need to understand," he said recently at DePaul University. “They should ask themselves: Who got the single most important foreign-policy decision since the end of the Cold War right, and who got it wrong?"
This question is fine for a history test, but it lacks relevance to the current presidential campaign, where both Hillary and Obama and, for that matter, John Edwards, are saying similar things about the war in Iraq.
But Obama has an opening for a very effective challenge to Hillary over the war if he uses the half-hour interview she gave The New York Times in her Senate office on March 14th of this year. In that on-the-record session, Hillary let slip her real colors on Iraq, revealing her essentially hawkish approach to the issue.
She said that she foresees a “remaining military, as well as political, mission" in Iraq. She said she “would keep a reduced but significant military force there to fight al Qaeda, deter Iranian aggression, protect the Kurds and possibly support the Iraqi military.
"While noting that in public Sen. Clinton backs the goal of “bringing the troops home," the newspaper said that she took a “more nuanced position" in the interview and spoke of the “remaining vital national security interests in Iraq" that would require an ongoing deployment of troops.
That interview, a major mistake by Clinton, provides enough of an opening to drive a truck through and gives Obama a perfect way to position himself vis-Ã -vis her. The Illinois senator should quote his opponent and ask Clinton to explain to the American people how many troops she would keep in Iraq and for how long.
Hillary would, of course, parry the attack by declining, as she always does, “to discuss hypotheticals," but if Obama pounds away at the point, her disinclination to address specifics will seem evasive to the antiwar left of the Democratic Party. It would become evident as the exchange between Hillary and Obama on the issue unfolds that she would not pull the troops out but would leave very significant numbers there for a very long time.
It is a short leap to imagine that a President Hillary Clinton would find it necessary to reinforce t he American garrison in Iraq to make it less vulnerable to attack. Indeed, the extensive missions she enumerated in her interview leave open the possibility of a long continuation of the war.
It is on this issue - in the present and future tense - that Obama should harp, rather than trying to dig up the past to find differences between him and the front-runner.
How many troops would it take to deter Iranian aggression? What if Iran stepped up its attacks? What support would you offer the Iraqi army? Logistical? Intelligence? Training? Transportation? Air cover? And to what lengths would you go to protect the Kurds? What if Turkey crosses the border and attacks them? And how many troops would you allocate to fighting al Qaeda? Do we read your commitment to this mission as indicating that you would not reduce troop levels in Anbar Province where the battle with Al Qaeda is being waged?
These are the questions Obama must pose. By raising and repeating them, the media will pick them up and Hillary will be cast on the defensive on the most important issue in the Democratic Primary.
Of course, Obama has been as opaque as Hillary about his plans for Iraq. Like her, he agrees that we need to keep an ongoing presence in the country, and, like her, he won't specify what he wants to do there and how many troops it would take.
But Obama does not have the luxury of ambiguity. His campaign is going no place fast. He is failing to make inroads into Hillary's support, and his focus on the past, as opposed to the future, is a pathetic attempt to find an issue by archeology. He should decide what he wants to do in Iraq and challenge her to be specific about her plans. Her New York Times interview traps her into a more extensive involvement than Obama will likely seek. It now remains for him to close the trap.
This is a strategy that Obama can use to dent Hillary's lead and move up in the polls.
Carnival #86
As I was searching for images related to number 86, even though I'm not a Steelers fan, this one caught my eye. Not just because it is number 86, it is my last name and I am a fan of the NFL but because football can be like politics. A quote attributed to John F. Kennedy says, "Politics is like football; if you see daylight, go through the hole". So off we go to see which Ohio bloggers score touchdowns this week.....

Old Glory Banned at GOP Forum
How's this for a kick in the teeth! In our own country our Flag can be banned because some may find it offensive! Who would do something like this? Only the Korrectnik educators trying to create a culture of liberalism in our country.
The Korrectnik's at Morgan State University in Maryland hosted the "All-American Presidential Forum" for GOP Presidential candidates. Even after Rep. Duncan Hunter of California who was participating in the event requested one be on stage, university officials said - NO!
I am sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong but.... Morgan State, being a state university, gets money from the State of Maryland and the federal government. If is this is true, I believe they should lose all state & federal funding.
And how does our President feel about this?
The president of the United States' press secretary said, "It's up to the college" if they want to ban the flag of the United States from a debate featuring candidates for the presidency of the United States.I believe presidential candidates of both parties should refuse to participate in ANY event that does not proudly display our Flag!
Drunk Father Loses Baby in Field
A Cleveland man told police that his 5-month-old son must have bounced out of his stroller while the two were crossing a field in the 1600 block of East 85th Street. The good news is the baby is OK and Child Services has custody of the child. The bad news is this guy is still the father!
"He said he hit a bump and the baby must have bounced out of the stroller," Lt. Thomas Stacho said.
A woman thought she heard a cat crying at 4:30 a.m. and investigated. She found the baby and called police. The baby was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. "He's fine," Stacho said.
The father realized the baby was not in the house and began looking for him. He walked across the field again and met up with the woman who had found his son. She called police again, telling them she had located the baby's father.
The baby was visiting with the father, the mother is the custodial parent. One also has to question why the mother would leave her baby with a guy that obviously was not fit to be caring for a child. The prosecutors office will review this no brainer of a case and decide if the drunk idiot should be charged with child endangering.
Not only should he be charged with Child Endangering but he should lose ALL unsupervised visitation rights. For those that will want to defend his parental rights - in my opinion he forfeited the right to be a parent.
The women found the baby around 4:30am. The father states - after he returned home he realized the baby was gone, then he went to look for him.... Officers state he was highly intoxicated.
Repossessing in this area for many many years, I can attest at this time in the morning, his walk was not a leisurely stroll to quiet junior down. From past experiences, it is not uncommon for crackheads to sell their kids for a few rocks! There is NO question in my mind this drunk crackhead was out looking for some rock, weed, etc....
SO..... the father took a 5 month old baby out in the wee hours of the morning and was so drunk he did not know the baby fell out.
If I were a Police Officer, the interview would go something like this....
First, why were you drunk when you were watching your son? As he answered I would slap him and tell him, "SHUT UP, before you get another one!"
Next question - Why did you have a 5 month old out at 4:00am? Again, as he answered I would slap him and tell him, "SHUT UP, before you get another one!"
With the Yellow Pages sitting on the table, I would ask the next question...... How in the hell did you not know you lost your son until you got home? Yep, as the idiot answered this question I would just wind up and blast him in the side of the head with the Yellow Pages (leaves no marks) knocking him across the room.
Brutality & Abuse? No, a good shot of reality! Any idiot that thinks they could have a good answer for any of these questions needs a slap back to reality and is not fit to be a parent!

Iraqi Shia Groups Sign Truce
In a call to stop the bloodshed of fellow Iraqi's, leaders of the two most influential Shiite groups in Iraq - Moqtada al-Sadr leader of the Mahdi Army and Abdel Aziz al-Hakim leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC) - have agreed to a truce....
A statement from al-Hakim's office said Saturday's accord mentioned three points aimed at "enhancing relations between the two groups and maintaining the Islamic and national interest."This could be potentially good news, but I will believe it when I see it!
The first point outlined "the necessity to maintain and respect the Iraqi blood under whatever circumstances or by any party. Bloodletting is contrary to all legislations and morals."
The remaining two points talked of uniting media and cultural efforts and setting up a joint committee with provincial branches to keep order between their respective supporters.
Liwa Sumaysim, head of the political committee of the Sadr group, said: "The agreement is essentially a commitment of honour. The most important aspect is that it forbids both sides to engage in bloodletting against each other and against Iraqis in general."
Hamid al-Saadi, head of the SIIC media office, said the deal was agreed in a "friendly spirit" and came at an "important time for the country".
"Iraq needs deals between factions in Iraq to enhance and preserve Iraqi unity," al-Saadi said in a statement. More....

Girlieman of the Week - Oak Lawn Skool Board
Reposted from Politically Incorrect Gazette (PIG)
Girliepunks of the Week
Date Awarded: October 5, 2007
Girliepunks: Oak Lawn (Illinois) School Board
Girlie Antics: Gutless Korrectness
Oak Lawn (Illinios) hit the News Nitwit cycle with a big splash, a few days ago, when news got out that, in a fit of knee-jerk Korrectness, Oak Park’s Educrats were banning Halloween and Christmas. The fun started, when a Mecca Maniac parent asked the school to put up a moon and some stars to let the school system’s Mecca Maniac inmates celebrate an Islamikaze holiday called Ramadan. When that request was turned down, Oak Lawn Educrats decided to plunge headlong into political correctness.
Unwilling to be accused of playing favorites, school officials banished Halloween and Christmas to the scrap heap and replaced them with a ‘fall festival’ and a ‘winter festival’ respectively. Big, big fun, but the blowback was memorable. After getting creamed by outraged rational adults from sea to shining sea, the Oak Lawn school board decided to ‘discuss it’ in a closed session. When the school board emerged two and a half hours later, they finally did what they should have done in the first place: they added a Ramadan celebration to the school’s calendar, which is exactly what the Mecca Maniac parent requested in the first place. As a result of the meeting, Halloween and Christmas have been restored to their rightful places on the school’s calendar.
For going gutless and Korrectnik when nobody - including the local Mecca Maniac contingent - asked them...for cancelling two American holidays out of rampaging political correctness...for lacking any meaningful ability to THINK...for being craven cowards to the core, the Oak Lawn school board - and all the relevant school officials who aided and abetted this farce - are the Politically Incorrect Gazette’s Girliepunks of the Week.More from that Religion of Peace
Rampaging Muslims have killed 10 Christians, injured 61 others, destroyed nine churches and displaced more than 500 people in northern Nigeria, according to eyewitnesses – all because Muslim high school students claimed a Christian student had drawn a cartoon of Islam’s prophet, uhammad, on the wall of the school’s mosque. Pregnant Mom Shoots Self & Kills Baby
A pregnant Elyria women, who after arguing with her boyfriend at a bar, shot herself in the stomach. The baby was born three days later, lived a couple hours and died. Dr. Frank Miller of the Cuyahoga County Coroner Office, who performed the autopsy, has ruled the babies death a homocide.
The Elyria Police Dept. is still continuing their investigation, but Miller has stated murder charges may not be applicable comparing the shooting to having an abortion.
Miller should get Tasered by the Elyria PD for making such an ignorant statement of unqualified opinion to the media. Any person in the medical field that would consider this a legal form of abortion - should have been aborted in such a manner!
Pro-Life or Pro-Choice I find it hard anyone would agree with such a statement. We can only hope the Elyria PD pushes to have this monster charged with Aggravated Murder with Death Penalty specifications.
Police Officer Suit against Ohio Senator allowed to Proceed
State Senator Shirley Smith (D-10) will have to answer for remarks that fueled racial tensions in Cleveland over the shooting of Brandon McCloud in Sept. 2005.
McCloud was 15 and a suspect in several robberies of eastside pizza deliverymen at knife point. While serving a warrant for him at his grandparents home, Detectives Philip Habeeb and John Kraynik located the suspect in his bedroom closet brandishing a knife. Refusing to cooperate and threatening Habeeb & Kraynick with the knife, McCloud was shot 10 times during the ensuing scuffle.
There were several police shootings in 2005, but this one took a life of its' own. Much to the dismay of relatives and activists, preliminary investigations of the shooting ruled it justifiable.
Stoking racial tension that were already near the boiling point, the NAACP wanted a public lynching of the officers, some people were calling it murder and with her election around the corner, Campbell tried to steer clear of the incident.
Though trying to steer clear, Campbell's administration also tried to railroad these officers, by originally having a poltical hack in the CPD investigate the case.
Not missing a beat and adding fuel to the racial tension was State Senator Shirley Smith (D-10). Smith delivered a letter to city officials that she will now need to answer for....
The first sentence reads: "A search warrant is not an execution warrant!"
The letter calls the officers "malicious accurate sharpshooters" and "two death merchants" who turned McCloud's bedroom into an "execution chamber." She suggested the officers be sentenced to life in prison.
An Ohio Court has ruled Smith, even though the letter was written on Statehouse letterhead, was NOT acting in her official capacity. Thus she is not immune from civil action and the lawsuit filed by the detectives against her can proceed.
A politician being held accountable for their words.... this has to be a first!

D.C. Gun Fight
The law banning guns in D.C. has been in effect since 1976. It is the strictest restriction of our Second Amendment right in our country today. Struck down by a federal appeals court recently, D.C. is asking the Supreme Court to get involved.
More importantly the information supplied in the PD article show some very disturbing facts. Digesting these facts, one can only come to the conclusion that the anti-gun nuts argument of strict gun laws reduce crime as untruthful.....
Washington's gun law, passed in 1976, is one of the nation's toughest firearms regulations. In addition to barring private handgun ownership, it requires D.C. residents to keep shotguns and rifles unloaded and disassembled or fitted with trigger locks. The strictest gun laws in the nation and theyhave an increase of ILLEGAL guns by 13%! Ranks among the highest in the nation in murder! This law has been on the books for 30 plus years and they are still near the top for murders!
Critics say the law has done little to curb violence, mainly because guns obtained legally from outside D.C. or through illegal means are still readily available.
Although the city's homicide rate has declined dramatically since its peak in the early 1990s, it still ranks among the nation's highest, with 169 killings in 2006.
Last year, the Washington Metropolitan Police Department seized 2,656 guns, up 13 percent from 2005. Many of the guns flowed in from surrounding states such as Maryland and Virginia. More...
How can this be? I thought outlawing guns reduces crime.
Makes you wonder how many innocent lives could have been saved had the citizens of D.C. been able to legally arm and protect themselves for the thugs carrying ILLEGAL guns.

The Bonaduce Bounce
Danny Bonaduce, former Partridge Family star, interrupted former Survivor reality show contestant Johnny Fairplay while he was presenting an award for the FOX Reality Really Awards.
Thinking he would be "thrilled spitless," Fairplay tries his signature "Monkey Hump" on Bonaduce. Instead Bonaduce does his best impression of a former child star turns Pro Wrestler. Click picture for video.
Not thrilled in the least, Bonduce picked up Fairplay and body slammed him. Now in "Reality," Fairplay is now "Really" toothless.
Reality Lesson #1 - If a former child star who once picked up a transvestite hooker interrupts you on stage DO NOT try to "Monkey Hump" him.
Reality Lesson #2 - Don't whine like a little girl because you got slammed on National TV. Click picture for video.

Iraqi Terror Groups form Coalition
This coalition includes terror groups - The Islamic Army, The Army of Mujahidin, 1920 Revolution Brigades, Mohammed al-Fatih Brigades, The Supporters of Sunni, and the Salafist group for Missionary Action and Fighting.
Some portray this as a sign of future stability for Iraq when the U.S. troops leave, I find that very hard to believe.....
Abu Anas, a member of the political bureau of Hamas of Iraq, an armed group opposed to the presence of US troops in Iraq, told Al Jazeera that Iraq's armed groups believe a US withdrawal is imminent.
"From a military point of view, forming bigger groups means a bigger number of fighters, better logistics, and more weapons." - Munthir Suleiman, military analyst.Anas said: "We are looking forward to the fall of the [Nuri] al-Maliki government, and the US withdrawal. We know it is coming, but I cannot predict when and how.
"We do not acknowledge the political process in Iraq and believe it is illegal as long as foreign troops are on Iraq's national soil. We believe that most Iraqis see those troops as occupation troops and want them out of Iraq." More.....
Carnival of Ohio Politics #85
#85 was a tough number to think of a theme for. Almost impossible actually. So I took the easy way out and dedicated this edition of the Carnival to the man who was Ohio Governor in 1985, Dick Celeste. He was a controversial figure in Ohio politics, as many old timers (relatively speaking) know. Celeste won election in 1982, taking over for the term limited Republican Jim Rhodes. Celeste won a second term in 1986 by defeating Rhodes. Until this year, he was the last Democratic Governor of Ohio. Anyways, here we go........

U.S. Dollar / Afghani Exchange Rate = Death
Taliban militants hanged a teenager in southern Afghanistan because he had American money in his pocket, stuffing five U.S. $1 bills into his mouth as a warning to other villagers not to use dollars, police said Monday. Taliban militants elsewhere killed eight police.
The 15-year-old boy was hanged from a tree on Sunday in Helmand, the most violent province in the country and the world's No. 1 poppy-growing region.
"The Taliban warned villagers that they would face the same punishment if they were caught with dollars," said Wali Mohammad, the district police chief in Sangin. More....
Iran now arresting - DOGS!
For all my readers that pant, have a bad habit of scratching and/or licking themselves in public, have the disgusting habit of sniffing others private parts, like your belly rubbed and are considered mans best friend - unless you can sniff out drugs, bombs & earthquake victims or are considered a good at hunting or guarding stuff - Don't go to Iran - you will get arrested!
If your owner takes you for a walk and you are a DOG, they will throw your little face lickin', tail waggin' butt in the prison they created for you.
Yep, Iran outlawed dog walking last year for being unIslamic. They feel this culture of keeping dogs as pets is "Morally Depraved & Western Inspired." This crime must have been rampant so now they are cracking down.....
Short-legged dogs are viewed with particular suspicion, as if they were political dissidents. Cats, renowned for their cleanliness, can, however, roam the country unpersecuted. Keeping dogs is becoming more popular, particularly in fashionable north Tehran, where pet parlours are doing brisk business.Let's see..... Dogs are offensive to Islam, but dildos & sex toys at the Last Supper should not be considered offensive to Christianity. Interesting!
One young woman complained to Radio Farda, a Farsi-language station, that her puppy had been detained for 48 hours for "walking in public" - before it was released on bail. Dog-lovers tend to keep a low profile, taking Fifi and Spot out after dark or driving them to the mountains north of Tehran for walkies away from the attentions of the authorities. More...

Hillary promises 40 Acres & a Mule
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday that every child born in the United States should get a $5,000 "baby bond" from the government to help pay for future costs of college or buying a home.
Clinton, her party's front-runner in the 2008 race, made the suggestion during a forum hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus.
"I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so that when that young person turns 18 if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college or maybe they will be able to make that downpayment on their first home," she said.
The New York senator did not offer any estimate of the total cost of such a program or how she would pay for it. Approximately 4 million babies are born each year in the United States. More....
