Yesterday, New York Post cartoonist, Sean Delonas, sharpened his crayons and scribbled out a very appropriate cartoon depicting the monkey business surrounding the stimulus bill. The cartoon also pokes fun at the police officers who were recently forced to shoot a rampaging chimp...
The reaction? Holy- shit storms! Everybody from Rev. Al, forgetting about his part in a phony rape case, calls the picture - "troubling at best." (Note: the 'Rev' was silent when Rev. Wright called Italians "Garlic Noses")
Besides the expected outrage from the party that has a jackass for a logo - the spittle heads over at Huffington Post, forgetting all the nice things they used to say about President Bush, are just besides themselves with disgust...
Sam Stein wrote on the Obama-friendly Huffington Post website that it seems "rife with racial and political sensitivities."
"At its most benign, the cartoon suggests that the stimulus bill was so bad, monkeys may as well have written it," Stein opined.
"Most provocatively, it compares the president to a rabid chimp. Either way, the incorporation of violence and (on a darker level) race into politics is bound to be controversial."
I agree with Stien where he says the cartoon suggests the stimulus bill was so bad monkeys could have done better. So his anger should be directed at Delonas for offending chimps.
