Porkulus I ignores money owed to US Soldiers

This King-Size kick in the nuts goes to BOTH President Bush & President Barack Obama! The whole time they are figuring out where the money for TARP, the Auto Bailout & Porkulus I - our soldiers have been waiting for bonuses they have been promised.

Since Bush is out of office - we will concentrate on PBO and the looney left running our country. Yes, as our soldiers forced to serve on extended duty are still waiting to receive their promised bonuses. Porkulus I will purchase millions of dollars worth of automobiles for DC, $30 million for saving Ninny Pelosi's mouse and other untold billions of dollars on nothing that will help our country get out of this mess. But why would we do the right thing and pay the guys THAT ARE not only helping - but serving our country...
The Pentagon has not started complying with a law requiring the payment of monthly bonuses of up to $500 to soldiers forced to remain on active duty beyond their enlistment period, military officials said.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman acknowledged the five-month delay in paying the bonuses and said the Defense Department is working on a plan to start paying the almost 13,000 soldiers currently under the Army's stop-loss orders. Although Defense Secretary Robert Gates wants to end the policy, the number of soldiers affected has risen since the middle of 2007.

Congress added $72 million to pay for the bonuses in its plan for the budget year that started Oct. 1. The money was to be paid after the Pentagon submitted a plan outlining how the payments would be made. (USA Today)

Let's see they force GM & Chrsyler to immediately submit a plan, then slam them for flying on private jets. Our congress has taken 5 months, still don't have a plan and gave themselves raises.

So I will ask this... with the elected officials in DC showing they obviously don't care about our troops protecting our country and our values - why the hell would someone think they care about us?
