A Law Student Letter to Liberals

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely, John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.

  1. I love it! I'd like a divorce from these idiots too, not to mention all the little sheep along for the ride . . .

  2. Hi Tracie - glad you like it.

Barack O-Shepard will keep custody of his sheeple. I wouldn't even ask for visitation rights.

Knowing that they would ask for some kind of support in this divorce - we may need Denny Crain as co-chair for Mr. Wall.

  3. This is going all over the internet. I received an email copy yesterday and the receiver list had at least 10 names on it! I forwarded it to 5 more people. You are right in what you said. I guess you could fit most of the left on the left coast in California, Oregon and Washington.

  6. Sounds like the best solution for our current problem. This young man has found the perfect solution. Obviously he has more sense than our current president. I nominate him and Denny Crane to be our next President & Vice President

  7. "Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion."

What is espoused here by a "neophyte law student" is "secession" and "treason." The placing of ideological beliefs motivated by monetary gain and power, before the rule of law and the welfare of the republic and it's governed, is treason.

This is exactly what the Southern white landowners/slave owners did. "Treason"

They took their ball and wanted to play the game among themselves and continue exploitation without compensation. To continue the institution of slavery, which benefited the status quo! A racist southern aristocratic society, predicated on slave labor.

This Letter to Liberals lacks intellect, is offensive and is a clear indication of a dysfunctional mindset. Should this American law student have had the misfortune of living in Nazi Germany, it is "likely" he would have worn a "brown shirt" and participated in the final solution. Nazis espoused compliance with Judeo-Christian values, while murdering Jews and labeling anyone who expressed an opinion contrary to the Reich's agenda, a Terrorist to the homeland, and killed them! People of reason and intellect know better than to "lump" people in a groups. Many variables and opinions exist, and labels exist for the benefit of political parties!!!!!

Washington warned of the negative influences of political parties. Jefferson warned of corporate aristocrats and constitutional usurpations under the color of law, by same in the lust for endless profit. Jefferson's warnings about banking institutions and the corporations which would arise around the banks depriving people of property, as being a greater threat to liberties than standing armies has fallen on deaf ears.

This alleged conservative republican neophyte law student is lumping people into a group called American Liberals, and advocates secession from the "Union" because he does not want to pay the bill! Who is your scapegoat? Is this proposal a fascist ploy!

President Lincoln, a Republican none the less preserved the union from the South's secession. A civil war was fought and hundreds of thousands of Americans died for that cause!

The "American Divorce" is a pathetic proposal offered by, thank god...... a law student. The post is a dishonor to all Americans who fought and died to preserve the Constitution and the Union from enemies both foreign and "domestic!"

From a constitutional perspective this proposal constitutes a domestic threat!

  8. This message is for the person who posted a note on March 5, 2009 at 11:58 A.M. I take it from your quote that you are one of the "People of reason and intellect know better than to "lump" people in a groups." You leftie Liberals all think you are so much smarter than the rest of us. I've got news for you, YOU ARE NOT. Everything that young man said is true. You are the ones trying to lead us into Socialism and you think we are not smart enough to see what you are doing. Hah! I quote you again, "American Liberals, and advocates secession from the "Union" because he does not want to pay the bill! Who is your scapegoat? Is this proposal a fascist ploy!" Why should we pay the bill for the debacle the liberals have created. We are paying our own bills and don't see why we should pay for those people too lazy to work and pay their own. You created the subprime mortgage crisis because you wanted "everything to be equal" even when people who didn't have the money to pay for a mortgage, had to have one anyway for "things to be fair." This is all thanks to Barney Frank and the bleeding heart liberals. It's a strange thing to me that you all want to share everyone else's wealth, (but not your own) and I suggest you do a study and see what the comparison is between Conservatives giving to charities and liberals giving. Remember Joe Biden's charitable contributions on a recent tax return. Wasn't that about $1200 during a year when he made in excess of $150,000. Strange, but I give more than that on a yearly income of $45,000.

  9. I totally agree the liberal who posted is typical. Lets call the law student names, minimize his points. This person is probably from Media matters or The Daily Kos....At least it is how they act all the time! This is not even related to slavery, it is the idea that liberals have led us to a place in time where things are going to collapse.

Govt spending is out of control. Most EVERY economist is now saying depression and if you have looked at the stock market recently, you can see it happening. Every move these liberals make is driving us deeper into trouble.

I look at Pelosi and Reed who are two of the most arrogant and pompous people on earth and they do not even allow for debate. The push a huge stimulus bill through with earmarks our president promised to stop. Oh and put it out at midnight for a vote the next day...what happened to transparency? Then you have Shumer saying I "do not care about those porky little ammendments"

Yes all of them can go run their own country. I do not want to live in it.

  10. Mr. Joyce - you are an idiot!

Remember the saying - "one mans trash is another mans treasure." Since we can't throw you guys out like trash...(trying to stay green/don't want to pollute) what are we to do?

I don't think it would go over well if we tried burying you guys with nuclear waste either. I'm sure you guys would somehow figure a way to weasel some free health care out of it. So divorce, in at least most cases, is less bloodier than civil war. And other than Denny Crain - I would want this young man on my side.

So to address you remarks -- Only an over-wound anally retentive f-tard of a liberal would think that this letter is serious attempt at secession. You panty-waist, get offended if the wind blows too hard, make an issue over everything morons, are ridiculous already.

Don't you see yourself in that letter? It looks like the other commenters do!

Please be aware the only threat to this nation is the 90 degree left turn towards socialism we are taking under the reins of Messiah Obamao.

Would these brave soldiers that have died for our country protecting our freedom be the same ones YOU guys want to put on TV as free propaganda for the terrorists?

The only disgrace to any person that served our country is the liberal pukes trying to redefine the values these brave men and women served, fought and died for!

And enough with the dead Presidents already. GW would kick just about every liberals ass and Barack Obama couldn't shoe Lincoln's horse.

  11. Yea for all of you. It's time we started speaking up for what we believe in -- I am so tired of the Obama mania, I could throw up. If we don't watch out, they will try and take away not only conservative radio, but the internet as well. Fortunately, right now we do have a lot more ways to communicate than they did during the Revolutionary war and we will just have to make sure it stays that way. Let's all join the tea parties, which I understand are going to be on April 14. I need to find some more information about them.

  12. "This is my response to: "You leftie Liberals all think you are so much smarter than the rest of us."

Your assumption is dead wrong and underscores ignorance. Nothing in my post indicated left or right leanings. In fact my reference to Washington's Farewell Address, I guess went right over your head, even if you have READ IT!!!

I guess President Lincoln, or Thomas Jefferson placed political ideology before the Constitution?

I attacked no one other than arguments offered by a neophyte law student calling for secession.

This is liberal??? My family just laid to rest our father. WWII Hero... Normandy Invasion..... Battle of the Bulge.... Liberation of Concentrations Camp. A very conservative man. He put it all on the line for family and country without complaint and as a matter of duty.

While calling me names, not one person addressed the points in my post. Apolitical, expressing the sentiment an American founder, the concerns of our first President and the work of Lincoln as the "south" refused to change because they depended on the uncompensated labor of slaves, inconsistent with the expressed language of our constitution's preamble. As an American I would say go ahead and start a secession movement. I will not support it and you will meet the same fate as the south. Traitors to the Constitution.

  13. Mr. Joyce,

I will address your original comments in a serious manner now…

First, take a pill and relax – nobody is promoting the thought of seceding from the Union. The letter highlights the concerns and issues many conservatives and independent voters have with the slide towards socialism and the values that our country was founded on being eroded away by liberals.

While you state that John Wall Law Student would be a ‘Brown Shirt’ in Nazi Germany, couldn’t we say the same about the teachers unions and NEA? These modern day ‘Brown Shirt’ use our education institutions to indoctrinate children with promotion of pro-choice, pro-gay, anti-family, America is the Great Satan views. Much like Hitler did with the Hitler Youth Movement.

I agree that too much partisanship leads to a stalemate at the cost of our country. I personally believe that most of our politicians put personal gain & getting reelected in front of doing what is right for our country. I believe the downfall of our country will come from within – this is why so many of us our speaking out in various ways of the attempts at ‘re-defining’ the intentions of our founding documents.

Now as for your slavery reference and the Constitution… many, if not almost all, of the signers owned slaves. It is known fact that Jefferson and others highlighted this fact during and after the signing. So, Jefferson, a slave owner, in all due respect, you could say they were hypocrite.

Understand something Mr. Joyce, we are facing a movement against the founding beliefs & documents of our country that is a much larger threat than communism was, and radical Islam will ever be to us. You could say we are slowly facing a growing secession of thoughts growing internally within our country. This comes from the brainwashing and indoctrination of children since the 60’s, who now are having grandchildren. Over these three generations the Army of Liberals grew strong and wide – now they have their leader at the helm of our country.

Again – nobody wants to secede – we just want our country back!

I ask you – if the values of what our founding documents were drafted on are removed – are we still the country your father fought proudly for?

BTW – May God Bless your father – I am sorry for your loss.

  14. Well ........ if anybody made it though all the "stuff" above ....I am not sure who that was, and I'm not sure they get what this is all about. I for one do not want to live in a country where the government is going to tell people how much money they can make, how they can live, etc., etc.. I don't care that CEO's, movie stars, athletes, etc, etc, make the money they do. I don't care what their religious beliefs are. I just don't care a lot about them when it comes to anything. I say more power to them. What I do care about is the fact that anybody can make as much money as they have the skills or education to make, they can practice whatever religion they want to, they can behave anyway they want to within the law in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I do not have to agree or participate in any of their activities, nor do I want them to force their beliefs on me. All I want to do is make a decent living, worship the way that I want to (I am a Christian by the way), take care of my family and attempt in whatever small way I can to contribute to the needs of many people who cannot help themselves. However, I do not want the government taking away from me (or anybody else) because they think "it is not fair" for some to have so much and others to have so little. The way I look at it, if people want more than what they have materially, they can get up and go out and work the same way that I have in order to get it. Only those who are not able to work deserve the charity of those who can.

    ReplyDelete
  15. What are you afraid of John, that no one will need your overpriced services? You'll keep your greedy CEO's & Wal-Mart? Great! You'll divide up the country by land mass, huh? You did that to the Native Americans already and promised a bunch of crap you never meant to ever keep. That's what this country is built upon, someone who thought their skin color was superior, someone trying to find more GOLD!!!! Excuse people who acknowledge this and think possibly that that was wrong and now's the time perhaps, to think a little differently . The "Indians" have tried to tell you all along...YOU CAN'T OWN LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Healthcare shouldn't be a right? A country with the resources such as America shouldn't do something as basic and take care of its sick?! The arrogance and the racism (ie: Keep your "homeboys") comes as no surprise. And I know conservatives feel anybody who is poor must be lazy and not willing to work. But my Dad, who worked his entire life was forced into early retirement. Had he not taken the buyout, he would have been in the group of thousands of workers fired after him that received no healthcare and would not have been able to afford treatment when he was diagnosed with Cancer. He is in remission now but I guess you feel that he should have died if he didn't have healthcare even though he worked his entire life, like many of his co-workers who received no healthcare when they were let go? And there are many people that work, are on unemployment, or retired that would not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid but still would not be able afford treatment for any serious illness. Not to mention, what about children, through no fault of their own, that have no insurance? I find it so ironic that it is the Right that believes it has God on their side. Quite the Christian attitude you have to the sick!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I am one of the "right", and I am truly sorry that your Dad had cancer. Been there and done that myself, twice. Not only have I had breast cancer twice, but I have had open heart surgery as well. I of all people do not want to deny anybody in this country healthcare, and I don't think there is anybody in this country that would be denied health care. There are plenty of hospitals and doctors that provide services for those who have no insurance and anyone who goes to a hospital with or without insurance cannot be denied medical treatment. I really don't want to be considered an unfeeling "right" winger who wants to deny medical care to those who are too poor to afford insurance, but I am not sure you understand what will happen to your Dad if we get "universal" healthcare in this country. Are you aware of what will happen under universal healthcare? Your dad and I will be two of the first seniors in the country that will be denied any healthcare because of our cancer and/or heart disease. Based on what I know about "universal healthcare", it will ultimately have to be rationed and guess who will go first (we seniors). Our lives are virtually over anyway and according to Socialist theories, we should just accept the fact that we are older, we have all these medical problems and we should just accept the fact that we don't have long to live anyway, and we will be denied any life sustaining treatment. Who will it be after that? I certainly hope that all of these Senators and Congressmen who plan on voting for universal healthcare realize that they too are getting older. As a matter of fact, many of them are older, if not considerably older than I am. Or maybe there will be a hidden clause in the bill that exempts them from the fate of all of the rest of the seniors. I wonder if President Obama and his family (and Joe Biden) will also be exempt. Look at our Supreme Court, what about Ruth Bader Ginsberg (wasn't she recently diagnosed with cancer?) Wonder if she will be exempt. If you would like to take a look at universal health care, below is a link to an article about cancer patients in England who are being denied any type of treatment because it is too expensive: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1159506/Life-prolonging-cancer-drugs-banned-cost-much.html

While there are many people who do not have medical insurance through no fault of their own, there are many more who do not have it simply because they won’t get up and go to work every day like the rest of us do. But, under the new administration, they will be provided probably better treatment than those of us who have worked our entire lives to have a better life. Does that sound like your dad? I, for one, do not want to see people like your dad and me denied treatment when we have tried to do what’s right all these years while others have set back and expected the taxes we pay to take care of them. But like I said, they are not going to be denied medical services anyway. Wonder why your Dad and I didn’t do it that way.

  19. Dear American conservatives, rightists, reactionaries, fascists and Republican supporters, et al:

We liberals would prefer to stick with our family values and work things out rather than go through a divorce based on irreconcilable differences. We always believe things can be worked out (music fade in......"We are the World, We are the Children", and "Imagine"...music fade out).

However, we know you conservatives change partners as fast as televangelists change wives. We understand that you are just remaining true to your American Revolutionary spirit.

We liberals may have our heads in the clouds, but fortunately (for us) and unfortunately (for you), we have the lion's share of the lawyers. Now lawyers are tricky devils, and they tell me you forgot to divide some rather important property. Should you agree to the following, I'm sure our divorce will be fair and amicable and we won't put up too much of a fuss:

    First:
We’ll take all the scientists that belong to the National Academy of Sciences, and you can take the states most affected by global warming or as some of you like to say "climate change".

    Second:
You take high gasoline prices and mega houses, and we’ll take electric cars, solar panels, and wind mills. We'll put up with some short term sacrifices so that so we aren't supporting the mega rich oil nations that are bent on our destruction. You can continue to do business with the House of Saud.

    Third:
We’ll take the open source programmers, and the other denizens of Silicon Valley, and you can take the graduates of Bob Jones University who believe man walked with dinosaurs. Of course, you won’t have any vaccines or antibiotics for infectious diseases since those medicines are developed solely on the theory of evolutionary biology, but we’ll cede to you the “laying on of hands” for your medical R&D. And let us not forget that your conservative legislators can just pass laws against viruses or bacterium. Wow, conservatives really do have a comprehensive medical plan!

    Fourth:
We’ll take NPR any day over Rush Limbaugh and his illegal drug habit. By the way, you'll be glad you kept your SUVs since you will need one to fit him into – maybe two. Just don't forget his "stash". He gets testy without it.

    Fifth:
Remember that Universal Health Care is our baby. We sincerely hope you will find a job that will give you health care or hasn’t been shipped overseas.

    Sixth:
I don’t think you can take all of the Armed Forces. Colin Powell and the other Obama supporters in the Armed Forces will probably come with us. Of course we're happy to let you have Hurricane Katrina, while we keep the Navy Seals that took out the Somali pirates.

    Seventh:
I predict that when we take all the “liberal Hollywood producers”, you’ll find a number of conservatives who crossover to see their favorite TV programs or big budget films. TV and movies made by conservatives don’t play so well with the masses, liberal or conservative. I'll bet more time is spent by conservatives watching TV and movies than reading the Bible and going to church.

Please speak with our lawyers if this is amenable to you. We're out saving the whales right now.

P.S. Oh, and please take Bernie Madoff and AIG with you. Both flourished under Bush, Inc. They’ll feel right at home with you guys.
