Signatures Turned in to Stop SB 16 "Strip Club Bill"
Opponents to the over reaching strip club bill (SB 16) have enough signatures to force it on the ballot for a vote this year.
The group, Citizens for Community Standards, has been battling a campaign of misinformation and lies by the Bible thumping group, Citizens for Community Values, responsible for this draconian proposal. Under the proposed law, shaking hands with a dancer can earn a customer 30 days in jail.
CCS has turned in over 350,000 signatures, approximately 100,000 more than needed. If there are enough valid signatures after being verified, SB16 will not go into effect on Sept. 4th and will be determined by a vote of the people in the November election.
