Cuyahoga County must reduce its general fund by 10 percent next year to make up for a growing deficit - a figure that would reach $38 million by 2010 if left unchecked.
"We've got a crisis on our hands," Commissioner Tim Hagan told directors and elected officials at a meeting on Thursday. "We don't have the money in some cases to provide the services that we need to provide."
An $18 million deficit is forecast by the end of the year for the county's general fund, which pays for day-to-day operations of many offices.
I don't understand how this could happen!
All three commissioners should be recalled & indicted for criminal negligence. (Even if the GOP can't come up with candidates at least there will be different Democrats, and it will take them a few years to figure out what to steal!)
